-Appearance-
Vampires have a wide variety of appearances due to the fact that they are essentially an affliction upon other creatures, generally speaking however a Vampire can be identified by the fact that their skin color is drastically lighter than a normal member of their species and their canines become exceptionally pronounced, other common features are clawed hands, red eyes, and either an almost unnatural beautiful or horrifying appearance.
-Background-
Vampires have a bit of a complicated history, no single account can pinpoint exactly where they originate from, general consensus is that they are the byproduct of some sort of disease or curse that is capable of tapping into even latent life energy inside living beings, the nature of their origin is also much of the reason why Vampires are not particularly common entities, they are not a born race but instead like Android they are 'made' a pre-existing Vampire must willfully afflict another in order to expand the race's numbers which have not done well to ingratiate Vampires to other races often leading to hostility and the deaths and while other races have a fairly simple method of producing new members of their ranks the process of transforming another being into a Vampire is difficult and more often than not fatal to the one being turned occasionally even fatal to the one performing the turn.
Most species have at least a few legends surrounding some variation of Vampirism because almost any race can be turned(though the process often results in the loss of most if not all of the turned creatures innate racial abilities) though there are a few notable exceptions, artificial races such as Androids(even many 'cyborg' type Androids are 'too' artificial for a successful turn) and any other race that lacks a blood-filled circulatory system are immune to the turn as it is entirely reliant upon a mixing of the Vampire's tainted blood and the 'pure' blood of the yet-to-be-turned creature.
Vampires possess a form of semi-immortality, they generally are not afflicted by normal diseases and age at an incredibly slow rate allowing them to live three to even four times as long as a normal member of their base race with absorption even sometimes restoring some of their vitality to extend their lives even longer and remain youthful.
-Racial Abilities-
Fangs: Vampires gain a free N1 Technique however it is restricted specifically to being a technique that serves to perform there Drain, it should generally thematically be a melee technique. This technique like any other can be upgraded to UP2/MP3 with technique slots but cannot be upgraded to MP3 at Character Creation unless the Vampire is the result of a transfer that would provide enough PL to acquire a new technique.
Drain: Vampires feed on the energy of the living, some different strains of Vampire feed on more 'odd' sources of power but the most common form is the drinking of blood, particularly powerful targets can even bolster a Vampire's power.
Once per DE if a Vampire successfully defeats an opponent with their 'Fangs' technique they gain 5%(Capped at 10,000) of that opponents PL, this either kills the target or allows them to 'turn' remaining defeated for the rest of the DE but reviving as a Vampire after it's completion. Alternatively, a Vampire can use there one drain on an already defeated opponent who's base power is within 80% of their base power, this is functionally identical to the normal drain except the cap on PL gain is 5,000.
Impure Aura: While not all Vampires are strictly evil entities the nature of their existence is one steeped in the dark, any player with an Energy Sense-type technique can feel a distinct 'discomfort' about the Vampire's energy even if they have disguised themselves or are hiding their energy signature(the player will simply feel the 'discomforting' feeling but be unable to get a proper read on the Vampire's actual power). At 50,000 a Vampire can pick up an 'Aura Masking' technique allowing them to dampen the Impure Aura provided their current power does not exceed their base PL.
The Turn: The only currently known method of getting more Vampires out in the world is for a living creature to be turned, provided they have blood to actually mingle with a Vampire's tainted blood any creature can be turned, upon being turned they lose access to all of their previous racial abilities and transformations and gain the Vampire racial abilities and transformations.
