Gravity 2/2 | x50 | Thread PL: 108,906 | Setting: The Pixie Blue -- After everything that happened lately, going into Pin’s gravity chamber and waiting for Habana felt slightly less nerve wracking than it otherwise might have. Pin might or might not join them, and maybe she’d have felt better with him there, but then again Kay-El Coliflo was trying to step away from her comfort zones more and more these days. Naturally, Pin set the whole thing up since she still didn’t know Habana all that well or necessarily feel comfortable reaching out to people. That had never been her strongest suit, her people skills were always considered rusty. Crowds were the things of nightmares for the child, literally. Sometimes when she couldn’t sleep the thought of being in a large, crowded place with tons and tons of people kept her from getting any real quality of rest. Like that time in the square - just the memory made her shudder, it was only because of Pin and any sense of Saiyan pride in her genes that helped her keep her shit together in front of the gathered spectators when the Queen called her subjects to action. Of course, that day didn’t exactly go as planned, but even the ones best laid often went awry. Looking over at the dials she decided to wait and see what Habana wanted to do. They could spar, of course, or they could do some kind of simulation and each tackle their own adversaries, or team up against some super pixelated foe or multiples thereof. When she went in alone or with Nana she usually went up against a sim mostly because she and Nana knew each other’s moves so well it was almost pointless sparring at this point. Every once in a while, though, they would and they’d find the other had learned new tricks. Kay definitely learned something new lately but still didn’t feel all that adept at accessing the new power at will. Her solo excursions, her ‘space road trip’ as she liked to call it, helped her learn more about herself than she ever thought she would. Then again, in her five years of life what did that even mean? What did she really expect of herself? More than the average child her age, sure, but not nearly as much as, say, Samba or Pin or any adults she knew for that matter. Like Alex, that boy carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, or so it would seem just to look at him. He never smiled. Oh, well, he’d smiled, sort of, that one time at the lake but Kay would bet all her Zeni he’d deny it if asked. What sort of things did he consider for his future? Alex clearly was plagued by something beyond her reckoning, and she had no idea how to help him or even if she could or should. Ready when you are she sent, using her scouter to reach Pin and Queen Habana . -- Alrighty here we are. Pin, join if you feel like it.

Pin had considered letting Kay-El spar with Habana alone in the Pixie's gravity chamber. At this point, Habana would have far more to teach her than he would, considering she'd attained a level of power far greater than his own. Try as he might, he couldn't help but feel frustrated. The girl was so young, and had been training for such a short time. Pin had been a warrior for longer, though only more recently had he begun his training in earnest. That frustration was his Saiyan programming, he had to remind himself, and it would do him no good.
Ultimately, however, he decided that he had to get out of his own ass. Kay-El wasn't the only one in need of training, and even with the new power gap Pin could still teach her about tactics, tracking, and combat technique. Brute strength was good, but finesse was just as important. Besides, he'd never passed up an opportunity to go up against a strong opponent before, and this was an opportunity to go up against TWO strong opponents - Kay-El and Habana herself. It was decided. He would join them.
As he stepped into the gravity chamber, he reached behind his left ear and tapped twice. A small beeping sound rang out, signaling the removal of his weighted programming. He would need to be at full strength for this, and couldn't afford to hold back in the name of marginal strength enhancement. He slid his helmet on over his head and leaned against the wall next to the chamber's control console.
"Not surprised Habana hasn't shown up yet," he said to Kay, "She's always been the one to run late." This was, of course, entirely untrue. As far as he knew, Habana was perfectly punctual. However, he was talking shit to try and get into the zone. It hadn't helped.

“Have I now? Because I can't exactly remember many times that I've been late” Habana said with a smirk as she entered the Pixie's gravity chamber, it was a bit smaller in scale compared to the one on Zucceta's ship but packed no less power being more than capable of putting strain on even her transformed state. Habana stepped a bit further into the chamber before finding a wall to rest up against, this was Pin's ship and his gravity chamber so it was best to allow him or Kay to set up the gravity settings presuming that either actually wanted gravity to be a factor in this training session. She'd been a bit surprised by how quickly Kay had been to bring up the idea of training, but it was a pleasant sort of surprise as it showed that the powerful little hybrid was interested in getting stronger, it also gave Habana a chance to see more of the girl's fighting skills in action. The battle against Zucceta had proved her capable but was still a poor example, Zucceta was more than capable of ignoring most of not ALL of the attacks that anyone short of herself and Zerori were capable of throwing around and so it would take the combined efforts of Brassica, Pin, AND Kay to make a dent in the Queen's armor. “It's good to see you both again, I was pleased to get your call Kay-El I've wanted to see more of your skills since the battle in Korgutsu Square and with Pin here I'll also get to see exactly how far he has come as well.” Habana grinned at the duo from her place up against the wall “I figure unless the two of you are dead set on a brawl between the three of us I've probably got the power to face you both at once if I go all out.” It was not intended as a slight against either warrior but rather a simple state of facts. Kay was impressively strong for her age but as far as Habana could tell she was not a super saiyan and even if she were she was still only roughly in the ballpark of Mayze's power from when last Habana had seen him, Pin appeared to be putting out the bulk of his power but from experience Habana knew that there was always a bit that was being held back, tapping into that extra power however had come with... interesting side effects last time he had done it. In this capacity however it was probably safe enough to use it if he wanted, his focus would be on fighting her and Habana felt confident she could whether the storm.

As Pin entered and put on his helmet, Kay-El’s shoulders slumped a little in relief. It was better that Pin was there. While the girl could force herself to be friendly with people she didn’t know as well, it helped to have someone there that she was familiar with. Like when she first met Mimikku, her teacher when she’d been on Earth, Core had been there and when she’d gone to the Kagami’s cabin in the mountains in pursuit of that training Nana had been with her. Sure, she got to know the woman more and more and felt comfortable enough to go out with her alone soon enough, but it helped to have someone else there to act as a buffer if necessary. She shook her head at Pin’s words, about to say that just because Habana was the last to the party didn’t mean she was late… she checked her scouter and, alright, maybe Habana was late by a couple minutes but that was nothing, really. And then the Commander’s arrival interrupted whatever she’d been about to say and she smiled. Great, now they could get started. “ It’s nice to see you again, as well,” she said, recalling her manners as she looked up at Habana. At three feet tall, she had to look up at pretty much everyone and had gotten used to it since she’s had to do it all her life. Despite physically beginning to close the gap, it didn’t feel like that and she knew it would take a long time before she’d be eye level with any of the adults in her life. Setting the device down and turning it off, Kay really hated her scouter sometimes. Ever since the first time she brought it out with her and forgot it existed, that time in the Square Habana mentioned, the thing was wonky and never worked right. Maybe she was better off without it...then again, she had no ability to sense Ki on her own and it was the only way she had to read people’s power levels. Try as she might and having gone through several different people trying to teach her to sense Ki, Kay-El just couldn’t get the hang of it. Habana's words didn't offend in her in the slightest. Instead, Kay-El took it as a compliment someone as renowned as the Commander wanted to see what else she could do. Admittedly, she didn't feel she could do much, but maybe she had a few surprises up her sleeves even she didn't know about. Her deck wasn't large, but it held what she considered some good cards. If Habana held better ones, there wasn't really anything she could do about that other than try her best and bluff her way out of it. “ Alright, so...us against you? Does that work for you, Pin?” she asked, making sure before sealing the door to the chamber. She had to fly up a couple of feet in order to reach the controls but she was used to that by now. “ Is everyone ready?” she looked over at the other two and set the gravity for the highest Pin’s chamber offered before hitting the ‘on’ button. Her wings flapped slowly behind her as she hovered there, having gotten used to eighty times normal gravity the last time she trained, this level didn’t really affect her anymore. This was a fight she was looking forward to. She could see how she and Pin worked as a team and she could maybe learn from Habana because, well, the Commander was probably about to kick their combined asses. If the others needed any time to adjust, she'd give it to them. Perhaps I should go…’all out,’ too? she thought, concentrating inwards for a few moments. Maybe, just maybe, she could change their odds for the better. Sweat beaded on her brow just a little as her Ki surrounded her in a dark aura of blues and greens that reminded her of the bottom of the ocean at it's deepest. Scales covered her her body. Tiny, pearlescent, fish-like scales covered her skin and her Ki grew exponentially as she tapped into her demonic heritage on purpose for the first time. If she had to scale it back, she would, but against Habana she had a feeling she might not need to. No, she hoped she didn't need to, she wanted to see what this new form could do. Maybe her hair didn't change color and she didn't glow all golden and pretty, but she held power nonetheless, and if there were ever a time to show it off, now was that time. If she wanted Habana to teach her for real some day, she had to first show she was capable and worthy of that tutelage. -- TL:DR - Greeted Pin and Habana, turned on gravity to x50 and transformed.

"How is it," Pin said, "That you're always RIGHT THERE at the most inconvenient times?"
He turned to Commander Habana and clapped her on the shoulder. He was glad she'd arrived so they could get started. Better not to waste too much time waiting on everyone to be ready. Pin thought back to his encounter with the strange android on Earth, Breech. He'd claimed that time was insubstantial to androids, but Pin couldn't disagree more. Time was absolutely of the essence. Time was constantly moving, and if he didn't want to get left in the dust Pin was going to have to keep up with the clock.
"I agree with Kay," He said, nodding, "The only fair approach here is two against one. Just try not to bust up the inside of my ship, alright?"
He watched as little Kay-El turned on the gravity and barely flinched. He was glad that he'd taken the time to get used to his own chamber's maximum settings, otherwise he'd be in trouble. Still, he was impressed with the girl's prowess. She was the child Mizuna would have wanted, had she been a pure-blooded Saiyan. Too bad their mother was such a miserable shitstain.
"Let's make this just a little more interesting."
Pin stepped over to the control console for the gravity chamber and pulled up the menu. He scrolled through his options before selecting a few settings and hitting "Accept". Suddenly the gravity chamber was the cracked and blackened surface of a dying world. Lava pooled around their feet and fire belched into the sky. The air felt thin as the Pixie began to pump slightly less oxygen in through the life support system. The ground vibrated.
"Now I'm ready," Pin said, drawing his pistol. ________________________________- Changed up the environment using the grav chamber's holo projectors.

“Its because I can see the future” Habana said with a wide smirk, the comment would likely come off as a joke the delviery and tone Habana said it in all indicating such but the reality was that Habana actually COULD see the future, it was frustratingly imprecise at times but present nontheless, of course her ability to arrive at the worst time for Pin was something entirely unrelated to that power having existed long before she’d acquired it. “I make no promises” Habana said with a wink as Pin asked that they not rough up his ship too much, truthfully Habana had no intention of harming the Pixie but with how strong Pin had gotten and how much power she had seen Kay capable of putting out she had some doubts about her ability to hold back much during this fight, she remained certain of her ability to pull out a victory over the duo but it would certainly not be a walk in the park especially as Habana felt Kay’s power surge rising and her aura flickering like she had just initiated a super saiyan transformation, yet her hair remained the same color. As Habana was distracted by Kay’s transformation Pin adjusted the chamber shifting the projectors to produce a new battlefield, a world likely quite reminiscent of what Brassica’s world had become shortly after their departure, Habana raised an eyebrow as she could feel something off about the air, taking in a breath Habana initiated the Atmos technique which quickly alleviated the issue, it would not be a permanent solution but she doubted that the fight would last long enough to be an issue. “Quite the recreation, you don’t do things half assed Pin” Habana said with a grin, now that the Atmos technique was active if either Pin or Kay were observant enough they would notice that Habana appeared to have stopped breathing entirely. As Pin drew his pistol she realized she had no need to wait on Pin to transform, a tap of the scouter confirmed that Pin appeared to simply always be at a higher base power. “It’d probably be just a BIT too arrogant of me to try starting this off like this wouldn't it?” Habana asked grinning as she pushed herself off the wall that after the hologram program had initiated had become a large slab of stone. Taking a few steps forward Habana’s aura would slowly become more visible before erupting around her like a golden inferno. Where during the battle in Korgutsu Square Pin and Kay had seen Habana utilize the ‘Ultra’ Super Saiyan form that focused it’s power chiefly in pure physical might and ability to output excessive power now Habana was utilizing the mastered form of the standard Super Saiyan transformation, where she had been holding back a barely restrained urge to crush everything in her path in the other form Habana appeared entirely unfazed by this transformation, almost MORE relaxed now. “Much better, you know, the worst part about being Commander is that I have to give a shit about the fact that just walking around in this form is a bit of a no-no, people seem to think something bad is about to happen if a Super Saiyan is wandering around transformed. But I just really enjoy the power it provides, and now that I’ve got it down this good I don’t actually NEED to change back.” Habana flexed her hands a bit looking from Pin to Kay curious which one would take the first hostile action. “Whatever you’ve got going on there feels a lot like a super saiyan transformation Kay, not QUITE the same but I might be able to help you with getting better with that form down the road. Though you seem to have a good handle on it, personally I had some trouble keeping my shit together. Pin’s probably lucky he met me when he did, I’d just gotten a proper handle on my transformation around then, otherwise he’d have probably had even worse repair bills” Habana shot Pin a grin at the mention of there first ‘fight’.

As the two greeted each other, Kay kept her distance, considering all their options. “I wanna see the future! That’s so cool!” she said in that childlike way kids can when they misunderstand sarcasm or a joke. When she’d finished her own transformation and Pin initiated the new, simulated environment she tried to emulate what Habana was doing to no avail. Sucking in a deep breath she tried to hold it and let it out all in a rush, feeling a bit more depleted for her efforts. ay-El felt like she was concentrating so it so hard that she missed parts of Pin and Habana’s conversation entirely. But the Commander’s transformation literally took her breath away and Kay just stared. It wasn’t very often she got to see Saiyans in other forms. That one time with the Queen... okay, the giant ape form didn’t count she’d gotten used to seeing those back home on Shikk.
Even though she couldn't sense Ki, Kay thought she felt the difference in Habana now like a palpable, tangible thing, even if it was just in her head. As Habana spoke she held Kay’s complete attention. For once there were no phantom itches needing to scratch, no twitchy fingers to pick and pluck at anything close enough to latch onto. Instead, her dark eyes were trained on Habana. Hook, line and sinker, she bought what the Commander was selling. “It’d be an honor to learn whatever you’re willing to teach me, Commander Habana,” she said seriously.
That was the moment she realized she was no longer breathing and a slow grin spread over her features. How long this whole ‘surviving with no oxygen’ thing would last, she had no idea, but she didn’t want to test it to its upper limits if it could be avoided. At least the room they were in just had less, not none, and with Pin not needing to breathe and Habana seemingly not needing to, either, it left the rest for her if need be.
Having been faced with a choice before, to learn from Mimikku what she was willing to give or to continue searching for someone else, Kay-El chose to accept that Mimikku didn’t want to teach her offensive tactics. Instead she’d learned Ki control and put it to good use since. “Everyone has something of value to teach,” the little girl said, and Kay-El believed it firmly, too. “It’s how people use that learned knowledge that prove its worth in the end. This form is still relatively new to me and I’m still learning how to be more effective in combat. Sometimes I lose my head, or can’t focus, so anything you can teach me… I’d love to learn! Please, Commander Habana, if you’re serious about your offer, I’m serious about learning.”
And with that little speech over, she fired off a simple Ki blast that didn’t have any real power to it. More to get things started than anything else, she suppose, and to show both Habana and Pin she meant business and was more than just pretty words and an innocent looking face.
Taking off higher into the air she began to charge her Ki, separating herself from Pin for now in hopes of getting into some sort of flanking position with her brother against Habana. -- SU3 - Freeform: Kay-El can charge without any specific tech in mind or can change tech choice mid charge.

Pin watched as Habana transformed, and how she offered to help Kay learn more about her own transformation. He couldn't help but feel a small pang of jealousy. His sister had surpassed him by no small margin, and his best friend continued to expand the gap between them. He'd come so far, but he'd had yet to make any real headway in catching up to Habana. She was still as far ahead of him as she was when they first met.
Still, she'd been impressed with his selection of arena, and he knew that neither of them judged him for his slow progress. He wondered, however, how he could ever hope to properly contribute to this fight. Even Kay-El was no match for Habana, and unlike the battle with Zucceta there were no other warriors to hold the commander's attention while the two of them charged their attacks. He could only hope that Habana would take it easy on them.
When Kay-El took her position, moving away from Pin, he decided that splitting up - at least for now - was the best course of action. She was learning. Heading off to the opposite side of the arena, Pin deployed his shoulder cannon and began pumping energy into it. As the air grew even hotter around him and the purple energy glowed from within the cannon's barrel, Pin crossed his fingers that he'd be able to accomplish anything. ______________ Began charging MP3 Thermal Detonator KP 0/3

Habana chuckled at Kay’s enthusiastic response to Habana’s assertion that she could see the future, truthfully Habana did not actually know if she COULD teach the technique, it was not as if she had learned it in any sort of traditional manner nor was it in a manner that could be properly replicated at the moment unless Kanassa returned to life somehow. “The form does that to you, I can't say I’m an expert on your specific brand of the form but if it’s anything like the real thing then it feeds off of and to an extent bolsters violent emotions, most notably anger. It’s easy to lose yourself to it but with time and a bti of effort you can learn how to balance yourself back out, once you do you’ll find yourself capable of drawing on even more of it’s power” Habana said giving Kay a vague overview of the concept of mastering her transformation though of course her assertion all stood upon the notion that Kay’s transformation was functionally similar to a real super saiyan transformation, it was however a fair assumption as while it lacked to trademark gold everything else about it seemed to fit. The duo began to seperate, Kay taking to the sky as she launched an energy blast at Habana, an attack that the Commander would take straight up allowing Kay her time to rise higher, Pin took that time to break off as well and Habana felt certain her friend had every intention of utilizing a similar strategy to there first fight. Looking up at Kay Habana grinned not discernibly affected by the blast as it had been fired as more a distraction than anything else as the young hybrid was already powering up something FAR more substantial “You’re a bit in luck Kay, I had a pretty good teacher when it came to gaining mastery of the transformation, so I can pass down that style of learning to you as well” Habana’s grin would widen taking on a slightly more viscious quality as she took a few steps forward, her form flickering as her movement began to rapidly accelerate bringing her from the ground to right in front of Kay in seconds. Once Habana reappeared however she was not simply casually walking at Kay, she was now in mid run with her fist cocked back burning bright with golden energy. Her teacher had after all been the Queen herself, Zucceta, a woman whose method of helping Habana master her form had involved a whole hell of a lot of kicking her ass, and just as Habana had said, she had every intention of following her teacher’s method.
