The bronze Arcosian stood at the centre of the artificial gravity manipulation chamber, his eyes closed as he focused his power. This would most likely be the last training session he would have in this room for a while... depending on how the battle at Kanassa went. He had only twenty four hours in which to prepare himself and rest before engaging the Solar Saiyan Empire forces that were sure to be there. His body was already tired from the recent seventy times Earth gravity training he had just gone through, but he could not afford to rest just yet.
He began with a series of punches, each one thrusting forward and causing the air to ripple slightly with each punch getting gradually faster than the last. Whilst he may not be the proficient boxer that Mister Beryl Roarke was, Abzerute could still inflict some damage to his foe. That thought gave him a notion... the dark skinned human scientist had discovered a way to make his blows generate more pain in their target than they normally should do. Whilst yes the bronze Arcosian may soon be facing foes that far dwarf him in power, he should be able to replicate the technique.
The question though was how to go about doing so. There had been no Ki involved with the technique, his Scouter would have picked it up, so there had to be something else. The gloves perhaps that he had worn? Could they have been interwoven with thin barbs so that when he struck... It was a striking possibility. It would not have taken much effort to locate someone on Brench that could make him such a pair of combat gloves... With just a slight tweaking of his own Bio-Armour he could replicate such a design. The thought that he was utilising a technique stolen from his sparring partner somewhat irked and at the same time titilated the bronze Arcosian.
He began to resequence his Bio-Armour around his upper fingers to include these mono-filament spines as he went through his various kicks. First several roundhouses, followed by a flurry of front snap kicks, alternating between his limbs, and side kicks. His tail sweeped in behind each of the roundhouses, the fifth limb that all Arcosians shared shearing through the air. Abzerute regarded the spines that ran down the length of his tail, then looked to the mono-filament spikes across his resequenced Bio-Armour on his fingers... and grinned a twisted grin as an idea came to him. The bronze Arcosian stood there in silence for an hour as he twisted his Bio-Armour to his new design, near invisible to the naked eye spines growing out across his entire body.
The enemy would no doubt manage to score several blows to his person as they fought, but that did not mean that they would come out the better for it. He would push them through hell for every blow they struck him, a sort of physical metaphor for the resilience of the Arcosian species as it prepared to strike back against the Solar Saiyan Empire and its thuggish forces. He knew that these would be lost the minute he went into his True Form, but through his Brute and even his Monster Forms, these spines would remain.
The bronze Arcosian chuckled as the thought of any Saiyan managing to score a blow against him in his Monster Form... he used that form the most rarely, not due to the usual denial of his people for its appearance... no, simply because when he had ever used it in the past the few rare times that he had, his foes had simply frozen in fear at the mere sight of it, thus making them far easier prey to destroy, and in some cases, devour.
Abzerute began to go through tail push ups, putting his whole weight on top of his fifth limb. Saiyans tended to fail to use their own fifth limbs for any real combat capabilities, which made it an ideal target location. Especially if the Saiyans have timed this strike with Kanassa's lunar cycle... not that they needed to really with that fake moon ability they readily used in their invasion of Earth. Take out a Saiyan's tail, and you remove the threat of an Oozaru. That and it put them into quite the little state with the sudden loss of their precious feature. Without their tail, Saiyans were nigh indistinguishable from humans... a sore point if there ever was one for such a proud race.
Hence his Guillotine techniques. And there was even more reason for it. Zucceta's most powerful form so far was a giant Golden Oozaru... without her tail, then she would not be able to achieve that form ever again, forever neutering her power for the foreseeable future, and rendering her that much weaker. The bronze Arcosian was under no delusions as he practiced his technique in the gravity chamber, that if he were to try and face off against Zucceta herself on Kanassa, that he would most assuredly turn out the worse for it.
Even with the durability of the Arcosians, and the secret rejuvenation pill he had stashed away on his person... he wouldn't survive for very long against her power. He couldn't believe he was considering this, but he sorely hoped that those warriors from Earth that defeated her during her failed invasion of their world, would be there at Kanassa as well.
If not... then Arcosian space was truly doomed to fall to the ever expanding reach of the Solar Saiyan Empire... and the Arcosian race may very well wind up extinct.
