The Bio-Android descended into the ruins of the Capsule Corporation building cautiously. Whilst he couldn't sense any beings around the area that could pose him any real problems, that didn't mean that some nosy person couldn't just suddenly appear in his way. Earth had an exceedingly unfortunate habit of producing such scenarios, so much so that it was almost capable of making anyone borderline paranoid about it. Or at least in Zyajin's opinion thus far of the planet as he began to inspect the ruins. That or it was some form of Saiyan genetic quirk... maybe it was similar to how homing pigeons found their way home? Except, a directional sense for where conflict could arise. He paused for a moment as he considered this new hypothesis.
"That... would make an abundantly clear amount of sense actually." he mused, rubbing his chin as he pondered this theory. He wondered if anyone had postulated this before, especially amongst the Saiyans themselves... then thought better of it. "Doubt a Saiyan would ever dare compare themselves to something as lowly as a homing pigeon... even if it were true." the Bio-Android chuckled, now imagining a Saiyan with a pigeons head and finding the image to be highly amusing. The moment of levity passed as swiftly as it had come however. Now was not the time for amusing notions nor images. He had come here to locate and gather what supplies and technology he could from these ruins.
He began to make his way deeper into the wreckage, evaluating the surviving metals that formed the skeletal framework that once was the shape of the building as he went along. There were several beams that he could repurpose for either the Gravity Chamber or his lairs own structural integrity. Problem was that he would need to make another trip for those later. Right now however, he was looking for components to form the base core of the device he sought to construct. He peered through the rubble until his sensors detected a faint energy signature deeper within the wreckage of the building.
The Bio-Android ventured deeper, cautiously approaching the signature until he discovered its source. The signature was originating from a singular humanoid female that was lying on an operating table, who appeared to still be alive, if only barely. She was pinned to the table underneath the weight of an orb like device, with implements sticking out from its surfaces. "An operating theatre?" he inquired as he stepped closer to investigate the device, blinking as the female weakly clutched to his hand. He tilted his head at her as she and him looked at one another. She appeared to be no more than eighteen Earth years old, but could potentially be a year or two older or younger... his facial recognition capabilities did not extend to an accurate assessment of organic aging.
Her lips moved raggedly as she tried to speak whilst underneath the device, her eyes twisting in pain. Zyajin got the message though, she wanted him to help her get free of the device crushing her. He looked over the device, tilting his head as he examined the situation before he lifted it up with his tail, depositing it on the ground. What he saw next intrigued him very much so. Now that the device had been removed, he could see that her limbs were connected to her body by mechanical components... she was a cyborg. Her torso and head were organic, hence the weak energy signature he could detect, but her limbs were mechanical in nature.
It appeared that she had been having surgery performed on her during the Saiyan invasion... how long had her body been trapped here? Pinned to this table? Left for dead by those who preached to serve in the name of preserving life? With her body freed she began to take in deeper breaths, her breathing still somewhat ragged, but slowly improving. Zyajin meanwhile inspected the device that had been pinning her to the table, removing the plasteel boards covering it so he could see the inner workings better. His eyes lit up as he saw several pieces within the shell that he could utilise in the construction of his Gravity Chamber.
Almost immediately he began to take the machine apart to retrieve the components he sought, the female rising slowly from the table, eyeing him warily. "Th-Thank you..." she said softly, Zyajin barely glancing at her as she spoke. "It was nothing of merit. Your cybernetics would have allowed you to survive long enough I'm sure." he said, the womans face falling slightly at the cold words. "Oh..." she said before she collapsed to the floor, her limbs splayed out around her like she was a puppet with its strings cut. The Bio-Android sighed at the interruption before he shuffled over to her, checking her over, spotting a small metal panel at the base of her neck. "Seems they didn't get around to connecting your limbs correctly to your brain before the attack." he mused as he tapped the panel, her limbs twitching as he did so.
"Y-You mean I'm stuck like this?" the woman asked nervously. "Indeed. Oh well." replied the Bio-Android as he returned to his task of seperating the machines components. "Wait! Don't do that!" the cyborg called over. Zyajin sighed, becoming irritated now. "And why not?" he asked, continuing to do as he wished. "If you remove that like that, you'll cause it to fracture and it'll be just a lump of metal. You've got to decouple the surrounding pistons first before you can remove the gyroscope." The Bio-Android blinked before he peered inside the mechanism, looking at the aforementioned pistons before blinking once more. "...You are correct." he mused, proceeding to do as he'd been instructed, slowly collecting the gyroscope in his hands.
He looked down at the immobile cyborg for a moment, computations whirring in his mind. "You worked here didn't you?" he inquired. "No... but I studied mechanical engineering at university... today was my internship." she informed him, the Bio-Android considering his options. On the one hand, she had knowledge he required, knowledge he could obtain by absorbing her... but the process of extraction would take too long for his timeline. He reached over with his tail and tapped out a sequence on the metal panel on her neck with its tip. "Your internship is over. You now work for me. I have need of your technical expertise, in return, I shall help you improve yourself so that you won't find yourself in such a situation again." he informed her, the woman nodding in reluctant agreement, her limbs shakily pushing her up.
"What is your designation?" Zyajin inquired of the woman as she stood up straight, testing her new mechanical limbs. "Iris." she said, the Bio-Android nodding. "You may call me Zyajin. Now then Iris, I am looking for components to construct a Gravity Chamber powered by geo-thermal vents. Anything else here intact that we can utilise?" he inquired of her, Iris looking around before spotting her reflection in a sheet of metal, immediately clinging to her body. "First, I need some clothes..." she said before running through the wreckage, the Bio-Android rolling his eyes at the antics. He resumed his search before she came back, looking quite irked. "The only thing I could find that was still in one piece was a halloween costume that was in storage..." she said, gesturing to the outfit she now wore.
Zyajin looked over the long maids uniform before shrugging. "Just means your enemies will underestimate you upon seeing you. Now, lets get back to work." he said, Iris sighing and beginning to direct him towards the items they could salvage from this wreckage. Now I can gather materials for my lairs structure whilst she remains behind to work on the Gravity Chamber... now to work on a means of long range communication that cannot be interfered with. the Bio-Android mused as he and his new minion worked.
