It had taken a while, but finally the Bio-Android had located what he considered to be an ideal location to utilise as his base of operations on Earth... after it had undergone some renovations of course. At the moment it was barely a hole in the ground, the small entrance was hidden by a small collection of hardy pine trees allowing him some visual cover.
The entrance was just large enough for him to float down into, thus meaning that anyone wanting to get out would need to be able to fly... a nice little natural fly-trap for the constantly hungering Bio-Android. After descending the hidden passage, he had come into a small cavern, with an approximately five metres radius, give or take due to the irregular nature of... nature.
Zyajin looked around the vicinity before charging up ki energy in both of his hands and then unleashing it against the walls of the cavern. The chamber shook and cracked under the bombardment of energy, smoke and dust rising around him and obscuring his vision, but he continued on nonetheless, his built-in instincts allowing him to ignore such things as lack of sight.
This onslaught continued on for another five minutes before it died down and stopped, the dust settling to the floor. The Bio-Android looked around at his handiwork, nodding to himself. The cavern was now much larger, easily measuring twenty metres in radius now. The expansion was primarily for his future projects, mainly the construction, powering and maintenance of his own personal Gravity Chamber which he hoped to acquire in the near future.
Powering the device shouldn't prove too much of an issue, due to the location of geo-thermal vents down below. This natural resource would supply Zyajin's future Gravity Chamber with a near limitless fuel source, which would be quite important as it would only improve in manipulating gravity with each passing iteration.
The newly enlarged chamber would also serve to function as a hub, on the off-chance he ever entertained company, although the only company he'd probably ever have in his lair would be the Dr Breech, and perhaps other Bio-Androids such as Contagion, if only to test his skills against his fellow predators and biological weapons.
His Saiyan genetics hummed at the idea of improving his combat skills against those of his own kind in a manner of speaking... and the idea of rapidly increasing his capabilities through gravitational manipulation sang such a sweet song to his ears.
His body would of course require rest in between these burst sessions, but if he timed it right, he could reach the maximum gravitational field chamber strength of one hundred and fifty times Earth gravity within the space of eight weeks... assuming of course he could obtain the resources to manufacture a Gravity Chamber capable of sustaining such a field within that timeframe.
He grinned further at the thought of combining the materials he had acquired from that cowboy Saiyan's mine to craft himself a set of armoured weights, which would only further enhance his training regimen within even a basic Gravity Chamber capable of only up to fifty times the Earth's gravity.
Of course, he had to first fashion the items in question, and then construct the Gravity Chamber itself... he couldn't exactly just wander up to a Capsule Corporation building and get a Gravity Chamber. For starters, he didn't exactly expect many to even still be standing after the recent Saiyan onslaught, and then there's also the fact that he didn't have any currency on him, which would make any legal purchasing somewhat of a challenge.
But first, he had to finalise setting up and preparing his new lair for such an installment, which meant gaining access to those geo-thermal vents. The Bio-Android took aim at the ground with his hand, adjusting it slightly so that the projected beam would carve a path down towards the vents, but wouldn't be in such a position as to obliterate the source of the vents in the process.
After moving into position, his hand glowed with an azure light before he unleashed the rifle beam, drilling through the stone beneath his feet, slowly and meticulously. This was a delicate process... one false slip and he could in fact wind up causing a chain reaction which could create a volcanic reaction or something similar in effect for the local region.
As the drilling progressed, it gave Zyajin a chance to reflect on those he had come in contact with and observed, as well as his Final Code programming. Zucceta had fled the Earth following her defeat, the burst of white light apparently being the pre-arranged signal judging from the reaction the Saiyan invaders gave upon its sight.
His Final Code had been altered by the Saiyans so that he would obey their Empress without question or hesitation... this was something he would have to rectify for the future. He had grown quite accustomed by now to the autonomy he currently enjoyed, and did not relish the thought of surrendering it to the wills of another entity...
Perhaps there was a way of altering it through adding new genetic sequences to his own, or enhancing his own powers so that he could resist the commands. He could feel the demonic DNA he had sampled from the half-demon Ryuga broiling through him, as well as the sample of his hell fires he had consumed. The image of the ancient hybrid teenager suddenly rising in power still churned within the Bio-Android's mind.
With Saiyans and their Super Saiyan forms, and the Arcosians with their multiple levels of transformations, it seemed only natural to presume that he himself was capable of such a transformation... whether or not it would be on the same par as theirs was left to be seen.
As his thoughts lingered on the half-demon he had made a bargain with, he considered his future moves. He had every intention of upholding his side of the deal, consuming the religious orders of the world until he located the information they both sought after. The notion of consuming devout men and women, all of them desperately pleading for their respective deities to save them from their fate... the mere thought alone amused him.
Whether or not Ryuga would be able to free his mother from her prison however, that would determine his next move in their developing dynamic. The half-demon had proven to be the only entity that Zyajin had encountered thus far with any form of demonic genetic heritage... and the memory of that raw power was still fresh in the Bio-Android's mind.
A gust of air brought him out of his reverie and back to the task at hand. He cut off the power to his ki beam, stopping the drilling before it could damage the geo-thermal vents below. Zyajin peered over the hole he had carved into the mountain, letting the warm air rush past him, drawing a smirk from his features.
His plan was slowly coming together... it was only a matter of time now before he obtained what he desired. Power overwhelming. Not too small a goal to be sure, but then again, he was created to be the ultimate living weapon... it wouldn't do for the ultimate weapon to be weaker than those he sought to destroy now would it?
With his lair partially prepared now, the Bio-Android rose up and made his exit via the aforementioned singular hole in the roof. He took up a spot in the air, surveying his immediate surroundings. Aside from the trees that masked the entrance to his lair, there were several small cliffsides in this portion of the Frozen North, perfect terrain for setting up ambushes against any would be intruders.
The nearest populace centre was formerly several miles away from his current position. Formerly being the correct turn of phrase due to it having been struck by a stray Oozaru during the last moments of the Saiyan invasion. Now all that remained were scattered refugee camps, each of them trying to form some semblance of order amidst the chaos.
He'd already preyed on one such camp, and besides finding and devouring a Namekian that had chosen to stay on Earth, the Bio-Android was growing quite bored of eating humans. There was only so many times that he could take some sort of pleasure from their dying sensations, their useless struggles as he consumed them from the inside out.
Zyajin had considered trying to eat them in the same way as he'd consumed the hell fires that Ryuga had used against him... but something in the back of his mind told him to not utilise that method of absorbtion just yet. Regardless, tonight wasn't about dinner. No, tonight was about investigating those ruins of a city and seeing if amongst them were the materials he desired.
He could just simply return to the mine that Saiyan cowboy sherrif Arlic was protecting and take materials from there... but whilst those were suitable for armour or weighted gear, they didn't have the right stress strain factors that were required of a Gravity Chamber. However, the remains of a human settlement may just hold what he desired... especially if he paid a visit to the potential wreckage of the town's local Capsule Corp building.
The remains of the building alone would provide some structural support for his domain, after they'd been fixed of course.
