There were a couple of things that Kyuri needed to upgrade on the Star Javelin... first and foremost, she needed more equipment to improve the new scouters that she had been designing. Then, she needed earthling clothing so that when she went down to the planet below she didn't stick out like a sore thumb. While her variation of saiyan armor was different than the obvious ones that the soldiers used, she would get recognized within minutes and then who knew what would happen. The biggest of her problems with all of this however... was currency. Sure they had a decent amount of zeni from planet Vegeta, but she highly doubted that would get accepted here.
"That mean's I have to hit a small town first... Less chance of me getting recognized before I can get some new clothes for us. I wouldn't want to hit one store for too much of a loss though... so maybe while their concentrated on finding me there, I can steal some money from another store... hmm... or maybe I should just go straight for one of their mechanical shops... this Capsule Corp place has some pretty interesting stuff I could pick apart..."
Kyuri thought to herself as she flew across the vast blue sky of planet earth. Her tail was tucked tightly around her waist, hidden underneath the red fabric that draped down to her thighs. She had removed the armor protecting her hips, along with the one shoulder pauldron that usually covered her right. This way, the only thing recognizable was the chest plate itself if you got a good look at it... along with her stereotypical saiyan hair.
The elder saiyan woman sighed heavily as she kept her arms crossed throughout the flight. She would have to find a suitable village or town without the use of her scouter, which was starting to prove to be far more difficult than she anticipated. Everything she came across was either a city, or a farm town with nothing really available to her. There were no stores and the last thing she wanted to do was steal from farmers. While it would be easy for her to overpower them it was easy to see how hard those people worked for everything they had.
"This is going to take longer than I thought... I hope the brats are going to be alright without me for a little bit longer. Heh, who am I kidding it's not like they really need me to tag along anyways."
Kyuri grunted, her eyes darting left and right as she continued searching for what it was looking for.
She had been flying through the northern skies for a full hour, searching for a village that she could easily do what she needed too. It wasn't until she reached a snowy town at the base of a mountain that Kyuri came in to land on the outskirts of the town. It was still fairly big, but she honestly was running out of options. She landed behind one of the shorter buildings, making sure to adjust her current outfit to hide as much of her saiyan heritage as possible. She then moved to peer around the corner, watching as the inhabitants of the village moved about their daily lives, shopping and doing... whatever.
It was strange to watch the human's move about... almost like watching a hive of bees... everyone walked about with such purpose, she was surprised when no one immediately noticed this strange woman in their town. She quietly made her way around, earning the odd glance from people as she went by, some people even dragged their children closer to them as if she was about to do something horrible to them.
'Right... this planet is so weird...'
She thought to herself as she finally came upon a store she was looking for. It was just a small clothing store with a few mannequins set up in the window displaying different kinds of winter fashion that no doubt suited the colder climate here. She walked on inside without a second thought and hastily looked around for any of the store workers. There were two of them milling about, each turning to look at her as the door's bell went off when she entered. She simply gave them a smile before wandering off into the racks of clothes as she started milling about the different outfits.
Upon seeing this strange customer walk in, one of the employees went back to doing whatever he was doing, while the second walked up to Kyuri with a large smile on her face.
"Is there anything I can help you with ma'am?"
The employee asked as Kyuri tensed up at her approach. At her politeness though, she sighed inwardly before glancing at the girl and nodding.
"Sure... uhm, see my family and I are new to the area and we don't have much clothes suited for the cold weather outside... Where we come from it's pretty warm so, this is the best I've got. Think you could help me pick out a few outfits? My daughters about my size, and my... son... is pretty big. He's about 6 feet tall."
Kyuri explained as she picked a shirt from the rack she was facing, along with a heavier jacket on a neighboring rack. Whenever the worker agreed to finding her some clothes for the others, she began to gather as much clothes as she thought she could carry in a hurry as her little plan would require her to act fast so that no one got hurt, and no one was alerted to her presence until she was long gone.
Once the saiyaness had gathered a sizeable amount of clothing she moved to the changing room with the help of the nice employee who had offered to help her earlier. Once inside, she began to change out of her current outfit, instead slipping into a pair of jeans and a white muscle shirt. On top of that shirt she would put a secondary t-shirt, and then a long sleeved shirt. She found that she was already over heating in this building with so much clothing on, but the more she wore the easier it would be to carry it out. She then put on the winter jacket she had taken and began stuffing it's pockets with the articles of clothing that she rolled up as tightly as possible. She then picked up the armor she had taken off and looped it around her shoulder.
'Right... here goes...'
Kyuri thought to herself as she extended her right hand towards the back wall of the changing room. A crimson ball of energy appeared in front of her hand before launching itself into the wall. There was a loud explosion as dirt debris and snow were launched into the air. Kyuri quickly darted out of the now open hole and took to the skies, landing on the room of the building and peering down. It didn't take long for the store employee to run to the seen after shrieking at the sound of the explosion.
"Ma'am! Ma'am are you okay!? Oh no where is she... what happened... JOHN!"
The employee panicked as she ran out into the snow and started looking around, calling out to her coworker as she tried to make sense of what was going on.
In the meantime, Kyuri took advantage of the confusion and ran back towards the front of the store. When she landed at the front door, people soon began to gather around to investigate, causing Kyuri to curse under her breath as she ran into the store, grabbing the extra pieces of clothing gathered for Natto and Tomoroko, even swiping a hat off the shelf. However, she wouldn't be able to make her way back out the front with a crowd of people now gathered, so instead, she moved from one rack of clothing to another, hiding in each until she got close enough to the change room.
There, she waited for the two employees to run back inside, calling both the authorities and the stores owner. With the two distracted once more, Kyuri tiptoed her way back to the open hole in the wall and quickly soared out of it.
She quickly took to the skies, hearing the faint mumbles of the gathered crowd as they pointed to the strange figure in the sky. She didn't wait to hear what they were saying, or wait for anyone to arrive on the scene. She flew off as fast as she could, leaving a tiny trail of red energy behind her as she disappeared high above the clouds.
"Well... that was a whole lot of effort just for some clothes... I bet this Capsule Corp place is going to be much harder to break into if they are really as advanced as they say..."
Kyuri muttered as she made her way back towards the Star Javelin that was hovering high in Earth's atmosphere, programmed to follow the cloud patterns so that it wouldn't be detected.
