[Thread Power Level: 328.480] Natto and Tomoroko had just finished a training session on the gravity chamber under 60G. It was a very interesting training, and the young saiyan girl finally learned how to suppress her energy signature in order to both attain more control over herself as well as to be able to follow Natto on his little scouting trips to Earth in search of saiyans, half-saiyans and a new place to settle for a while, or maybe a while longer, he still couldn’t really decide. He had just reverted back to his base form, and was using a towel to wipe his sweat. – I guess I should let her rest for about an hour or so… And then I will try to make her learn to sense energy! If she master it too, than that’s pretty much all ki energy control skills I have under my sleeves! Hehe… Somehow I believe I will learn a couple things on this planet. These earthlings seem to know quite a lot about ki energy and stuff. – he talked to himself in high spirits.
He was on a great mood. It was a good day so far and he wanted to enjoy it the most with training and, afterwards, some private time with Tomoroko. To think of that made him smile widely and his cheeks to turn a little red in color. – Hehehe… - he laughed to himself in a low tone, as he approached a fridge on one of the walls of the place, where he grabbed a bottle of water and drank it in a single gulp; he really liked to drink water, especially after gravity training. Somehow the gravity would always leave him more thirsty than other training sessions.
Then, Natto grabbed a chunk of meat and heated it for a few seconds, before it was ready to be eaten and he devoured it like there was no tomorrow. – Damn! I love meat! I could just eat meat for the rest of my life! – he said to himself, as he finished his meal. After that, he got back up and walked towards one of the exits of the training hub, going towards the main storage room. ”I’ll use this free time to check things up.” he decided, as he had nothing else to do at the moment.
Little did he know that he would have a very embarrassing and tense conversation with Tomoroko’s mother! Word Count: 405 Tomoroko

It had taken Kyuri quite some time to convince herself to have this chat with Natto. Truth be told, she'd wanted to corner the man long before they even landed on Earth, but didn't have anything to back up her warnings then as she had been put quite on the spot. Now, however she felt confident that even though Natto was unmeasurably stronger than her, her words would still carry enough weight to keep the male honest.
She sighed lightly as she started at the security system within the Navigation room, which was practically where she lived now a days, watching Tomoroko and Natto leave the gravity training room, and watch as Tomoroko left towards her quarters. However, Natto seemed to be headed in a totally opposite direction, obviously in a very good mood too. She shuddered at the thought of what she assumed was going on and growled softly. She didn't leave her station until she saw Natto heading for the storage room.
She closed the security feed from any prying eyes, if there were any, and swiftly left the Navigation room, gathering her confidence as she silently walked towards the storage room. She would gather her thoughts on the way, trying to find out how exactly she would sound intimidating, without making it look like she was outright threatening him. It was difficult... but she had to do it.
As she approached the door, she watched Natto step inside and walked in behind him, now making enough noise that if he hadn't noticed her before, he would now. She shut the door behind them, then leaned back against the frame of the entranceway and crossed her arms.
"Natto, we need to talk" She started the conversation off firmly, her eyes serious as she gave Natto the best mom look she could muster.
Meanwhile, Tomoroko had made her way back towards the room she had begun to share with Natto and had quickly changed out of her sweaty clothes, washing off quickly before she would crawl under the sheets of their bed, totally naked. She would yawn widely and snuggle into the pillow she rested on, taking no time at all before drifting off to sleep.

– Three sets of battle suit for me… Four pairs of gloves and boots… And seven black jumpsuit pants. Gheez… Not good. I wonder if we can find the material to replicate it here… Well… I truly hope we can. And I also hope Kyuri knows how to do it. On the mean time I will have to go on my little travels bare chested, as much as I dislike it… - he sighed, feeling quite frustrated with that thought. To his surprise, he felt a low energy signature approaching him and when he turned around he saw Kyuri entering the room; he was getting much better into sensing energy, but he still had much to improve. He smiled at her with a kind expression on his face.
– Oh, hey Kyuri, I was just thinking about you. – he said in an honest tone. That could be a good opportunity to talk about the battle suit issue with her, and he opened his mouth to speak, but she cut him short with her own words. She said that she wanted to talk to him, and that would be alright if it wasn’t for her tone and stern look on her face, that made him arch both of his brows and widen his eyes. ”What’s going on with her? Did…” he started to wonder about the reason behind that look on her face, but he decided that asking was a better course of action.
– Errr… Sure, what’s going on? – he asked, folding his arms in front of his chest while he stared at her. He had a curious and slightly concerned look on his face. Word Count: 279

He was just thinking about her? What for she wondered... either to run another errand for him or something around the ship needed fixing. While it was nice to be needed, she couldn't help but feel annoyed that both Tomoroko and Natto only seemed to come to her when they needed something. She sighed before straightening up some, looking at Natto seriously before speaking.
"It's about Tomoroko. Well, you and Tomo more specifically. When did the two of you become that close? What are your plans for her exactly? Because I've known far too many men in my life time that'll simply take what they want, and walk all over the rest. So basically... if you ever even think about hurting my daughter like that I won't hesitate to come after you. I ight not be anywhere near as strong as you are, but I've got a lot more witt about me, and there are so many ways of making someone miserable." She blurted out everything she had wanted to say way too fast. As she got into saying one thing the next thing just slipped off her tongue, concern for her daughter lacing every word she spoke to Natto. The last thing she wanted was for Tomoroko to end up like her...

Kyuri said that she wanted to talk about him and Tomoroko, and he nodded. He was quite curious to what she wanted to talk about, since they were to topic of that talk, but then her first question threw him off balance. ”When did we what?!” he asked himself, arching both his eyebrows and widened his eyes. ”What the heck is this question?” he wondered, failing to read in between the lines. Then she asked what were his plans for her and then she proceed to explain that she knew quite a lot of men, and all that traumatized part of her life, and the young saiyan began to understand her point and, little by little his expression turned from surprise to being really pissed. His brows frowned and he took a couple deep breathes as she spoke.
– You gotta be fucking kidding me. – that’s what he said as soon as she finished speaking. His tone was a mix between disbelief and dudgeon. – You say you knew plenty of men in your life and I won’t argue with that… In my case, I knew of only one woman and that’s your daughter. The person I chose to be my mate and that I will take care of and protect for as long as my body still has some life inside of it. – he said, clenching both of his fists. – If I will hurt her one day… I hope not, but I can’t promise anything… No one can. I promised my friends that I wouldn’t allow them to die, but look what happened! Aspa died and I couldn’t save him because I was outclassed and outnumbered down there! So I’m done making promises I’m not sure I can fulfill! But I will tell you one thing, and I want you to listen carefully to what I have to say! – his tone became even harsher.
– I don’t care if you are her mother! I will never allow anyone to stand in our way! I won’t allow anyone to take her away from me, and I can guarantee you that I will make the person try to do that much more miserable than you can even dream of! I can also guarantee you another thing! If anyone hurt her under my watch, they will wish that they were never born, because I don’t have the temper to lose anything else! And… - he turned around and took a really deep breath in order to calm down. – But I will answer your question. He got close after she was nearly killed during an attack near the tuffles ruins… Where were you then? Yeah… And we got closer before war, if that’s what you want to know! – he roared at the end. Kyuri didn't flinch or move as Natto went from confused, to aggressive. She was holding her ground, and her eyes would never leave his own. She listened to every word he spoke intently, making sure to analyze each and every syllable and making sure that it was what she wanted to hear. Which... it wasn't, not in the slightest. At first, all saiyan men would be extremely protective, physically, of their mates, to the point of being possessive. She didn't doubt Natto would be the same, and the way that he spoke to her about Tomoroko confirmed it. He'd never let her get hurt, he'd never leave her alone... he even admitted to the fact that one day, she might get hurt under his watch, that it was inevitable to which she nodded in agreement.
"You're completely missing the point, idiot. I know you'll be by her side and that you'll protect her. I've seen that countless times. I'm not afraid of you physically hurting her since that kind of comes with the territory of being a saiyan. She knows what she's getting into on that front, and she's a strong girl. I'm confident you won't have to worry about her long...
No, I'm talking about emotionally hurting her. You seem to like you're pretty clueless on that aspect. I want to make sure you'll be taking responsibility when the time comes, and you won't turn tail at the first sign of responsibility. Having a mate is far more than just having someone to sleep with. What happens when you get her pregnant hm? You ready to tackle that? You ready to protect every part of what it means to be her mate?" She still remained cool, never raising her voice or getting angry with him. She needed to know what he was really like, wanted to know that his physical strength wasn't the only impressive quality Natto had. She liked the boy, she really did. He had done right by Tomoroko in helping her find her whenever she lost her memories, and he had done right by her as well... many times over. But every time, she wondered what his true intentions are... and if he was screwing around with his daughter because she couldn't remember anything, or because she looked like an easy target... she wanted to know now so that she could put an end to it.
She decided to skip a few of his accusations, and a few of his comments. There was no need to bring Aspa into this argument... what happened to him was trajic, and it pissed her off that there was literally nothing she could do for him now, but he wasn't a part of this argument... nor was the fact that she hadn't been there for Tomoroko when she was ambushed in the Tuffle ruins. She had no idea her daughter was even back on Vegeta... how could she have been there for her? Well, that was exactly the sort of mistake she was going to make sure she didn't repeat.

She called me an idiot?! What the heck?!” he frowned his brow further and gritted his teeth, letting out a low growl of anger. Kyuri said that she already saw him doing that, and that she wasn’t afraid he would physically hurt her in anyway, recognizing that her daughter was a strong woman and that she could handle herself. Kyuri’s point was about her emotional side; she was afraid that Natto would end up hurting her feelings, since he seemed quite clueless about it. The young saiyan didn’t like to hear that and clenched his fists really hard, but he controlled himself enough to keep on listening to her.
She finally got to her point, and that made his expression change from water to wine: he arched his brows and slightly opened his mouth, with eyes wide opened. He was startled by her speech and felt some shivers running down his spine. ”W-what?! S-she is talking about… Kids?!” he couldn’t properly react and then he gulped a couple times, trying to think about the situation, while also trying to come up with an answer.
He had to close his eyes and take a few deep breathes before he could manage to speak again. – Look… I hadn’t thought about that… And I feel like I have to tell you something about me. You may know my parents… My mom was quite famous among the middle and lower class warriors… He name was Tamari, the Fearless, leader of Tamari’s Squad. – he sighed, remembering about his mother.
Tamari was a fierce, merciless, cruel and ruthless saiyaness, who had an impeccable record on her missions, having never failed even once. She was well-known among the saiyans and, for her, killing was quite an easy thing to do, and required little to no offense towards her. Her power level was almost elite tear, being 9.500. It was well known that she didn’t like anyone, nor cared about anyone. The only thing she cared about was power. She never chose a mate to live with, she just breed for strong offsprings, and that was the reason she chose Douchi, Natto’s father, as her mate. The story was quite known. Douchi was the strongest of the squad, after their leader, having a power level of 7.500, but, unlike Tamari, he was kinder. Still a fierce warrior, but also had plenty of brains, and knew a lot about culture and history of plenty of races of the universe. He was almost a scholar. Natto’s expression became more serious before speaking again.
– My father was Douchi, another middle class warrior, maybe you knew him, maybe you didn’t… But she never chose him because of love, she chose him because of the genetics, and they never had any meaningful relationship. I only got to meet my parents when I was about ten, when I came back from my first mission. – he sighed, gazing away, looking at one of the widows, into the depth of space. – And when I first landed on Vegeta, I was scared… I had killed the inhabitants of the planet I was set to conquer on accident… They were like my real family, but then I turned and… They died. I hated that and I was angry at the saiyans… I wanted to go away. When I met my mother, she despised me for being weak like that… And that’s pretty much it. My father, on the other hand, accepted me and helped me find a reason to protect our race… - he sighed again, staring back at her. – I want my kids to have both a father and a mother to look after them… I want them to become like us, not like most of the saiyans… I want… A family. – he finally said his point. Kyuri had been about to interrupt Natto as he began talking about his own background, and where he came from. Of course, she knew all of this before hand, having done extensive research on the man her daughter was so hung up on. What she hadn't expected then was who his parents were. Of course Kyuri knew of Natto's mother and father as her own squad worked continuously to try and rise up to the same standard, if not surpass them. Etorin had been more like Tamari, while she could relate more to Natto's father. At one time in her life, she did feel attached to Etorin... until she found he was only using her since she had been the strongest mate that would bear him a child at the time.
Most saiyan children had the same backstory, they were bred into existance and sent off to fight long before they even knew who their parents were. Kyuri had tried to be different, she had pulled Tomo out of the incubator early so that she could have a daughter to raise on her own and hopefully not have to send her away... and yet because of her idiot ex-mate, she had been sent away regardless... Tomo's power back then had been far weaker than any other saiyan child and she knew Etorin was ashamed of her... knew that he was sending her off to her death. What Kyuri wanted most of all, now that she had her daughter back, was for her to be able to live a life she could be proud of... she didn't want her daughter to have to go through anything she did... she didn't want her to be the typical saiyan warrior, which she was already proving to not be.
There was a long moment of silence between Natto and Kyuri once the man had finished answering her question. She didn't even realize that she had finally looked away from him, staring down at the floor between them as her mind processed everything that he had said, and realized just how much it really made her think. When she finally did look back up to Natto, the corner of her mouth quirked up into a light smirk.
"Good. I'm glad to hear that. I don't want any meat head grand children. I can't stand seeing Tomo hurt, and I want to make sure she has the best possible chance at a good future... regardless of all this nonsense going on right now. I've watched you take care of her since you reunited us on Vegeta, and I really hope you mean what you've said Natto." Her gaze was a lot more relaxed now as she looked at him, satisfied with the answer she had received and the sincerity behind Natto's eyes. She understood that life could be cruel and unexpected, and she couldn't hold that against either of them... but to know that he would try his best to make her happy was all she wanted.

When he finished speaking, the corner of her mouth quirked up in a light smirk, making Natto arch one of his eyebrows. ”Now what?!” he thought, feeling rather pissed with this whole conversation. Then, Kyuri said that she was glad to hear that, changing his expression from anger to surprise once again, as his eyes widened. A drop of cold sweat ran down his forehead as he listened to her saying that she didn’t want any meat head grandchildren. ”Meat head? What the heck is that?” he gulped, unable to help himself but to feel slightly confused. After that the elder woman said that she couldn’t stand seeing Tomoroko getting hurt, and that wanted her to have the best possible chance in the future, to which he nodded in agreement.
She also mentioned that she saw him taking care of her for a while now, and that she hoped that he meant what he said, to which he nodded again. – Of course I do! I want us to be happy. But we are warriors… I can’t see us stop fighting for our ideals! And I’m slowly figuring out what is it that I want to do with my life now… And I believe you will agree with me. But I still need to be sure, and then I will be able to share… - he said, with a now excited smile on his face.
– In the meantime, please, Kyuri, keep on trying to secure a safe line of communication for our scouters… And I have another request… Try to create something… A device, that help us track some sort of energy radiation from an object. I will explain.- he paused, taking a deep breathe. – I may have found a way to bring @aspa back to life! But I will need to search for some weird things called dragon balls, that are some sort of magical orbs that can grant any wish! – he revealed to her his idea, so that she knew what sort of thing he was asking for. 'I still don't think he really understands what I mean... not yet anyways but he's being sincere about how he feels for Tomo. I can't fault him for that... but I don't think he realizes how closely I'm going to be watching him...' Kyuri thought to herself, never losing her smirk as she listened to him talk. Of course, she never expected them to change so completely as to ignore who they were. Yes they were warriors and they would continue to be long after any kids were ever brought into their world. She didn't mind that part in the slightest, she actually welcomed the fact that they wouldn't change, just as long as Natto stayed by her side no matter what. To that statement, the elder woman simply nodded, pushing herself off of the door frame and finally uncrossing her arms. She was about to state how she was sorry for putting him on the spot like that, but then the younger saiyan immediately had a request from her. He asked if she would continue to work on the scouters and if she could create some fort of monitor that could track energy radiation. She rolled her eyes as she walked forward, stepping passed Natto and reaching into one of the open crates to retrieve a small mechanical piece.
"You guys are starting to treat me like a pack mule. I need a few more pieces before I can finish the scouters, and I'll probably need a lot more tech from the earthlings if you want me to build this thing to track these dragon balls... I might be able to interface it with the integral part of the new scouters programming... as long as it doesn't end up too big... I don't know Natto, these things kind of sound more like a fairy tail, so don't be too disappointed if I can't do it." She stated as she pulled out the last two pieces of machinery from the crate. She was definitely going to need to find a way to get her hands on some more materials if she was going to keep building anything...

Natto couldn’t help but to chuckle when she said that they were treating her like a pack mule. That was a really funny way to look at it, but Kyuri was skilled with technology in a way that none of them were, and it was only fair that, while they did the fighting and training, she did the tech stuff and repairs. ”We still need a decent medic and stuff…” he sighed, wondering where he could find such a person, and then he remembered that Ninjin mentioned something about helping him heal, and that made his smile widen again. ”There we go! Maybe she can be the medic! And then we are all set! Hehehe!” he daydreamed a little bit, before pay attention again to what the older saiyan woman was saying.
She said that she would need more earthling tech in order to create such a device if it was actually possible, and then said that she didn’t quite believe the dragon balls could do such a thing, and the young saiyan warrior nodded in agreement, still with the gentle smile on his face. – I know, Kyuri… But if there’s even one percent of a chance to bring @aspa back, I will do my best to gather them! He is my best friend, you know? And I would do the same for you and for Riku too! – he said on his gentle tone, before shrugging. - But right now I have no way to even start looking for them… Therefore, my hopes are on you! Anyway… Gotta get back to training! Not gonna get stronger by slacking off, you know?! Hahaha! – and, with those words, he laughed a little bit and went towards the exit of the room. He would most likely head back into the gravity chamber, since that was pretty much all he did during his free time on the ship.
