Hello everyone Your implementation team is strongly considering the addition of a 'Tiny Man Bonus' that will act as an overriding bonus for those at a certain lower end of the PL range. To shed as much light on this as possible and as to give you all an informed opinion, but without revealing our grading formula, this bonus will reward social interaction and greatly increase the gains of those at the early game. Some of you may be familiar with the current Little Man Bonus, and this is sort of a 'doubling down' on that, an increase of it, though at a lower PL bar. This idea to raise the rate of progression for our newer members stems from a problem originally foreseen by the creator of our grading system, who predicted that the game would stratify into people isolated by their numbers. In other words, people would be limited to competing with those in their PL range, and the larger the range got, the harder it would be for them to meaningfully progress. We're starting to see a bit of this as the game matures, and so there have been efforts to get our hands around this and to help everyone progress. But a question has come up -- do you all even want to boost quickly? Would you rather reach Super Saiyan (or its equivalent) in roughly half the time, or would you like to savor your progression and struggle? Think hard on this, because believe me, attaining these goals can be a big pain in the butt, but they can also be very rewarding. Please let us know how you feel in a reply, as your collective opinion will decide this for us. Even if the answer here is no, a Tiny Man Bonus may be implemented in the future as the site requires, but it's an important question, one that needs the entire site's input to answer.

I am mostly ambivalent to the idea of having even higher gains for lower-level characters; I'd much rather boost the existing Little Man boost a tiny bit, merging it with increased social gains for all (to take focus away from the 'solo' grind).

As a relatively new person I'm pretty cool with how gains are, so long as you are putting forth effort its not very hard at all to gain power. If I posted even a single solo a week I could probably catch up with some of the stronger people, buuut im lazy so I just stick to other threads and do a solo every now and then. Everyone very easily gaining SSJ tier seems like a bit much, perhaps once SSJ2 tier starts becoming a bit more common that could be an idea though but right now we have like what? 3 people at that tier(Reikiko, Vi-Poi, and Natto though he hasnt actually unlocked it yet

My opinion, boost it. Plot requires characters that can make an impact in the universe. If a member of 50,000PL decided to make a huge plot. It'd be over in a second. While they train to become something strong, so can the top contenders.
Meaning the gap could never be closed.
For the sake of plot, boost it.

Rather not. I can't pretend to speak for the majority, but I always enjoy working up from the bottom and struggling. Makes it more satisfying in the end.

My opinion is towards boosting it. Both the tiny man bonus and the group bonus. In my opinion it will only act as a good incentive and well... Like in dragon ball... People started getting stronger faster as the series progresses, therefore it's completely acceptable in my point of view. More strong people more fun... And if people don't like solos, the group bonus would help them not fall too far behind

I think we need more social boost. Maybe something like a plot boost so we don't get people who do nothing but make solos of them training all the time. ||||| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I personally feel no boost is needed. I love the struggle of climbing to relevancy, but that's just me.

I'm not against training solos... Well it's dragon ball! Solo training was what goku and vegeta did most of the time and it's part of many characters here. But I'm all in favor of a larger boost towards solos. Not as a punishment for solos which I don't think we should have, but incentive to people who wants to develop group plots

Perhaps there could be a villain boost of some sort? So people could have actual threatening villains? (Since the bulk of our top tier is Good/Neutral)

Yes, a villain boost would be good.

I believe a villain boost can be a double-edged sword... it could make a lot of people choose to be villains and then they would quickly overcome the goodies... But it could also lead towards interesting plots. Like... Cell came out of nowhere and was strong as hell! I think that's a good starting point into thinking about a new mechanic or so...

How can you really determine a 'villain boost' and also people could theoretically very easily just be a 'villain' for a while to get increased PL, then magically have a change of heart.
