”Saaaaaaaaaaaakeeeeeeee... Aren’t you done yet?” Kari-Ko groaned at her vulpine companion. The young Ryashi was currently sprawled on top of the duo’s crashed spaceship. They had been sitting in the barren wastelands on the planet Vegeta for a little over an hour after having to make an emergency landing due to engine problems. While Sake was busily tinkering around with the ship’s engine, Kari-Ko was bored out of her skull just staring up at the planet’s reddish sky.
”Would you stop with the complaining already? I don’t even know what’s wrong yet,” the fox girl grumbled in annoyance. It have been the third time that Kari-Ko had complained about it since they got there. ”Ugh, I can’t help it. You won’t let me touch anything since you seem to think I’ll make it explode, and I can’t go anywhere to entertain myself because you still haven’t written up a supply list!” Man, this sucked. Sure she understood that she couldn’t exactly write up a list of supplies when she didn’t even know what parts she was going to need, but lying around and doing nothing was so unbelievably dull!
”Can’t I just go off, have some fun, and then come back in a little bit? This is taking forever!” Sake pulled herself out of the compartment that contained the engine and scowled up at her obnoxious companion, adjusting her glasses in the process. ”No, you need to stay right here. I already told you that Vegeta’s natives probably won’t take too kindly to an unidentified space craft landing on their soil. Saiyans aren’t exactly known to be warm and inviting to unwelcomed outsiders. I’d rather have backup if they decide to roll out the welcome wagon on me,” Sake snapped, getting fed up with these constant distractions. ”Besides, knowing you, you’d probably be attempting to sample whatever alcohol they might have on this planet. We don’t need another repeat of what happened back on planet Dorimar!”
Kari-Ko let out a cackle at the fox girl’s accusations. She peered over the side of the ship and batted her eyelashes at her friend innocently. ”Sake, you know me better than that,” she feigned being hurt, but seriously overdid it in the tone of her voice. “I never get into trouble with the natives until after I’ve secured an escape route.” Sake sighed and slid her glasses up the bridge of her nose with her index finger. Why did she get the distinct feeling in the pit of her stomach that Kari-Ko was only half joking?
”Whatever you say. Just sit tight for a little longer. I think I might have found our problem,” she groaned while rolling her eyes. She then disappeared back into the compartment that she was working in. Kari-Ko sighed and flopped back onto her back, gluing her eyes to the clouds that were lazily drifting by. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere was such a pain in the ass...

Patrol, it was something he liked to do. Aspa was flying high in the sky while making sure he could notice anything coming into Vegeta’s atmosphere. He was not high enough to have problems breathing, but just high enough so he could view a large portion of the wastelands. Scanning them for any kind of life with his scouter, Aspa continued to fly.
This was one of the times where he felt absolute calmness flowing within him. He would not fail this time, the last time he patrolled he let someone from the Arcosian Empire slip through his fingers. This time however, he was not wearing his weighted armor. This time, he was serious about patrolling the wastelands. He would not mess around, and allow something hostile to Vegeta escape.
Noticing a beep on his scouter, he had two unknown power levels in the wastelands. One was at twenty thousand and the other was at a mere five thousand. They could be difficult if they attacked him at the same time, Aspa floated there for a bit deciding what to do. One one hand, they could be allies, on the other hand they could be from an enemy state and would attack him on site.
Flying towards the two power levels, Aspa would send out a order for back up to the Saiyan HQ. He knew he could handle one of them, but if the both of them were to attack him at the same time, he knew he would need backup. He didn’t care who it was, all he cared was defending Vegeta from unknowns.
Hovering around a hundred feet away from the snake woman that was laying around and complaining to the fox woman about their ship not being fixed and about her being bored. Not waiting for them to notice him, he would initiate contact.
“I am Aspa of House Bloodburn. Who are you, and why have you come to Vegeta? I will not ask a second time.”
Aspa, clenched a fist and would start to charge his Azure Beam Rifle. He was preparing to attack, just in case they were actually hostiles. He currently did not have a target in mind, but he would quickly make it up if they attacked.

((PL is starting at 20,000))
As Kari-Ko was sighing to herself, lamenting the lack of activity available to her, something suddenly caught her attention. She sensed a single ki signature nearing their position. ”Mmm?” She hoisted her torso off of the ship’s metal roof and coiled her brilliantly hued tail beneath her. Whoever their visitor was, she was reading his power level at 28,569. Not bad. Not bad at all... Perhaps she wouldn’t have to wait for Sake to finish the job for things to start getting interesting after all.
Before giving the Ryashi a chance to introduce and explain herself as he had demanded, the man that had flown into view had begun charging up to attack. Sake had definitely been right about this one. If the man who was currently greeting them was any indication, these Saiyans certainly were a feisty bunch. ”Hello there! ” Kari-Ko called out to the man with a wave, as well as a smirk on her face. She was perfectly willing to explain themselves, but Kari-Ko wasn’t exactly know from backing down when faced with hostility.
Did she really have to go through the title thing when introducing herself? Introducing herself by her full name always sounded kind of stuffy. He had done it though... As much as Kari-Ko was curious if Saiyans were the type to fire on that kind of behavior, she knew that Sake would bitch at her later if doing such a thing actually caused the man to start blasting. ”Kari-Ko of the Bamiriyan,” she answered simply, raising herself up a bit on her tail and crossing her arms over her chest. There was still a light smirk on her face.
”And we would have already been gone if my little friend here weren’t so slow with engine repairs,” she chuckled, tossing a glance at the open engine compartment that Sake was still hidden away in. The fox girl didn’t make any noise, nor did she come out to greet the man. Kari-Ko guessed that she wanted to stay cooped up in there until she was positive she wouldn’t be faced with any danger. The girl knew a few moves, but she wasn’t much of a fighter.
Looking back at this ‘Aspa of House Bloodburn’ character, Kari-Ko knew that having him scowling down at them while charging up for an attack was definitely troublesome. She really couldn’t afford to have him damage the ship any further than it already was, nor her travelling companion for that matter. Without moving, she briefly closed her eyes and concentrated her energy into the core of her being. After a brief moment, she felt that energy release and flow through her veins. Sparks of bright red energy briefly danced across her form only to fizzle out seconds later before starting back up again and repeating the process. She could feel her canine growing into long fangs beneath her upper lip.
((Serpentine Fury has been activated. PL is now at 40,000.))
“You’ll have to excuse this little display of mine,” Kari-Ko called up to him, her voice now sounding slightly more menacing with it’s low, almost echo to it. Her earlier playful tone was still in there, even if it was now slightly buried. “It’s a bit of a precaution. I couldn’t help but notice that you’re charging up for an attack of some sort. I’ll happily revert back once you cancel your charge. I simply can't risk you damaging anything or anyone important.” Hoping to prove her point that her intentions weren’t hostile, she simply sat there with her arms crossed. Unless the transformation itself could be considered as such, no aggressive action was being taken against the man for the moment. Were he to continue to charge up his energy, this would obviously change into a very different story. Kari-Ko certainly hoped it wouldn’t come to that though.

Aspa continued to stare at the snake woman, unafraid. She seemed cheerful enough, totally unlike what her power level said about her. When she introduced herself, he thought she had a weird name, but he didn’t say anything about it. While listening to why they came to Vegeta, he would keep his charge up, until the snake’s woman’s power level doubled suddenly.
Listening to her warning, Aspa would open his fist letting the energy dissipate back throughout his body. He wasn’t stupid, he knew if he fought her in that state, he would only have a very slim chance of victory. Even though he currently had the height and aerial advantage, he didn’t know if the snake creature could fly or not.
Just in case of them doing anything to harm Vegeta or the Empire, he would stay there to observe the fox woman working on the ship. He didn’t trust them, and he did not cancel the request for backup. Knowing that he still had a long way to go before he could fight any foe, Aspa clenched his fists in anger, not at the snake woman Kari-ko, nor at the fox woman. But at his own weakness, even if he knew he wasn’t weak.
“Just know, I will remain here to watch you repair your ship. If I feel like you’re going to try to harm the planet, or the Empire I will not hesitate to attack you in order to defend my home. Are those terms agreeable, Kari-ko of the Bamivican?”
He had never heard of the Bamiriyan before, so he didn’t know if that was the right pronunciation or not. Aspa just wanted them to leave the planet as fast as possible. He would even order some of the weaker Saiyans to deliver the parts they needed so they could leave sooner.
Crossing his arms, he would float there without moving or making a sound. He would provide a unending vigil over the two women. He still didn’t trust that they weren’t hostiles. Thinking about it, they might of been simply stranded there, but also Kari-ko could have been lying in order to put Aspa in a false sense of security.
He would not take his chances and kept his guard up, just in case these two women tried anything funny with him.

(Heavy Weights on)
Kaula was busy finishing a few business ends here and there. She had a trip to go on soon, after all, she planned on finishing up a few things in the palace first as she was still currently in charge! The Saiyan hybrid who had recently dubbed herself Deputy Vice-Queen was in charge of the planet's defense! So she simply wanted to.. Well.. Make sure the place was defended! She had recently read that one Saiyan's report.. Something about a Brenchian or whatever in the ruins? Kaula was rubbing her chin in thought, "If Icarus was here, I bet he'd have some type of surveillance system in check.. Damn. The fuck why did he have to leave?" she thought out loud when, suddenly, the door opened! It was another Saiyan! He, calmly, was saying that there was apparently someone calling for back up. Her tail flicked to the side in a slight fit of annoyance before she closed her eyes, a hand coming up to pinch at the bridge of her nose.
When she asked the other Saiyan who it was, the name that came up was Aspa. Simply hearing the name made her roll her eyes lazily as she let out a loud sigh. She remembered how he was trying to brown nose at the meeting. Or, well, that's how she thought he was acting. She just sighed as she slowly stood up from her chair. "I got it.." she said in a soft growl. She slowly trudged out of the room, adjusting her scarf as she trudged out of the room.
It didn't take the Saiyan long to leave the palace and fly at a casual pace to where the coordinates apparently were. She just sort of stared at the event below her as she slowly lowered herself to the ground until her feet touched the barren wasteland. The Saiyan kicked aside a rock and her tail slowly coiled around her waist. She wasn't making an effort to suppress herself at all. She almost looked.. Bored as she glanced at them.
"This." the short girl said as she glanced at Aspa. "This. This is what you needed back up for. This is what you needed someone to hold your hand for?" the hybrid asked in a rather annoyed tone. Her eyes narrowed as she just sort of glared at him, "Some fucking aliens' spaceship trouble? Or did you accidentally mess up the number of the palace with the Galactic Spaceship Association?" she said, taking a potshot at him with that comment. The strong Saiyan took her eyes off of the male as she moved to step forward, glancing first at the weirder-looking of the two, the one who had a snake tail or something. She shifted her eyes from her, to the other, then back to the snake girl. "Do you need help to the capital or something?" the girl asked. "Because, as long as you aren't with the Arcosians, those stupid ice lizards, I'm sure you'll be fine. As long as you don't do stupid things, that is."

Kari-Ko continued to watch the man that had confronted her, a tiny spark of amusement in her eyes as he appeared to very briefly consider what she had said to him. The muscles in her humanoid upper half were relaxed; the serpentine woman wanted there to be absolutely no conflict between her words on how they had come here with no ill intentions and how she carried herself. And while she could have gone as far as to attempt to reassure the fellow while she was still in her base form, that would have involved placing enough trust in him to take them at face value and not fire at them anyway. If Kari-Ko were that stupid, she probably would have been duped into being significantly more corpse-like sometime near the very start of her travels.
The gathering energy she had felt from Aspa quickly dissipated once he had made up his mind, quickly followed by another quick bout of concentration from Kari-Ko. The extra energy that had been flowing through her body and over her skin dispersed as she canceled her transformation, her teeth and voice both returning to the state they had been in when he had first happened upon the ship. ”Suit yourself,” Kari-Ko answered with a shrug of her shoulders. She casually ran her fingernails through her blonde ponytail. The sparks given off by her Serpentine Fury form always seemed to make it frizz up. ”I just hope you brought some cards or whatever it is you do for fun on this planet. So far it’s been boring as hell.”
((Serpentine Fury has been deactivated. PL is now back at 20,000.))
The Ryashi then lifted her chin as she sensed another ki signature upon them. Surely enough, another dark haired native had joined up with Aspa. This time it was a woman, and she was quite noticeably stronger than any of the other three people gathered there. Yikes, that could be a problem... Kari-Ko’s Serpentine Fury form should have allowed her to handle Asp fairly easily if it came to that. This new power, on the other hand, she could say the same of... Kari-Ko’s own strength paled in comparison to what she felt from the new arrival, transformation or not. Thankfully the woman seemed to come at the situation with a far more level head. That was a relief. As desperate for entertainment as she was, it wasn’t even close to making her feel the need to have her face stomped in.
”Looks like we’re already getting popular on this planet, Sake,” Kari-Ko spoke with a grin, tossing another glance down at the open engine compartment. Her companion still didn’t seem to want to bring any attention to herself, so she continued to stay quiet and somewhat hidden in the inner workings of their ship. Ugh, spoil sport... ”As a Ryashi, anything having to do with ‘ice’ is naturally repulsive,” the woman retorted. It was actually a foreign concept to her people. There was a good chance that the Ryashi as a whole would have never even heard of ice if hadn’t been from the stories of some of their guests. The species had a natural aversion to cold. The idea of it being cold enough to freeze water into a solid shape was more akin to a nightmare.
”If you don’t want her doing anything stupid, keep her away from alcohol at all costs!” came a sudden echo from the ship’s engine. Kari-Ko shot a glare in that direction. That’s what Sake felt like finally speaking up about?! ”Shut up! I don’t go around ruining your fun do I?!” Kari-Ko snapped back before clearing her throat and looking back at the two Saiyans. ”I’ll be heading to the capitol sooner or later. If we ever want to get off the ground again, we’ll be needing some parts.”
More noise in the form of various clanks and clunks was heard from the engine before the fox girl scrambled back into the open. There were smears of black grease all over her already black tunic. It was a good thing she hadn’t taken her favorite scarf there she usually wore in there with her. Sake looked warily over at the two Saiyans, making it seem kind of obvious that she was trying to hide the fact that they intimidated her. They weren’t who she really needed to talk to though. ”We... erm... might be here longer than expected. We’ve got more parts in there that need to be replaced than I had first calculated. Expensive parts,” Sake said, relaying her findings to the woman that was still sitting atop the ship. She kept venturing nervous glances back over at the Saiyans as she talked.
Kari-Ko sighed and gave another shrug of her shoulders. Well, at least they could finally actually go somewhere on this planet. Maybe the other Saiyans wouldn’t be quite as serious as the two they had met so far. ”Okay then, looks like it will be sooner rather than later. Which direction are we going?” she asked while looking back over to the pair.

As soon as Kaula arrived, she started insulting him for being cautious about this. He honestly didn’t know what was within the craft when he sent out the backup signal. Not liking the insults that she was throwing at him, Aspa would be quiet until she was done insulting him.
“I did not know what was within the craft. It could have been a Arcosian attack ship, that malfunctioned upon reentry, it could have been Vi Poi or something else. I only raised the call for backup just in case I needed it. If you think I’m a coward so be it, but I will protect our planet, by being overwhelmingly cautious. That is partially why I’m not wearing my weighted armor. By your leave, I am going to go back on patrol."
Without warning, Aspa would fly off without getting any reply from Kaula or the alien snake woman. He didn’t care if he was being rude or not. He just didn’t want to be in the same vicinity of Kaula at that moment unless he were to snap on her. He really did not want that to happen.
Flying towards the ruins, Aspa would begin his patrol once more scanning any incoming objects with his scouter, and destroying the object if there were no power levels on board, or if they do not respond to his hails. He didn’t care if they were Saiyan Attack Pods or not.

Kaula let out an irritated groan as she heard Aspa, she just went to wave him off however. "Fuck off.." is all she'd say as she shook her head, waiting for him to simply leave before she glanced back to the woman and her ship. She sighed a little bit as she moved to stretch lightly, "Fucking idiot.." she growled out as she shook her head. She went to size up their ship for a few moments, trying to see how large it is on a scale of space pod to giant earth semi. She sort of wondered if she'd be able to carry it, if at all possible.
"My name is Kaula. Commander here for now, not for too long though. Going on a trip soon." she said with a soft huff as she approached the snake lady. She continued to eye her for a few moments as she placed her hands on her hips, "I'll say this though, you choose a pretty crappy place to land. Better then the lizard planet, but considering you're an alien.." she let that trail off before she shrugged, "My full blooded compatriots are.. Well.. They are pretty fucking racist. Sucks, I know." she said as she adjusted her scouter some.
After sizing up the ship on that little custom scale of her's, she decided it likely wasn't too much larger then a couple of space pods put together. Well, no. About five of them. Probably. It didn't look too heavy. The Saiyan girl brought her right hand to her left to crack her knuckles before she did the same with her left hand. Her power level seemed to spike up, not too much, but it simply quadrupled. She moved towards the edge of the ship, crouching down before she started to casually lift it up. Of course, she didn't mind a whole lot that there was still likely someone on it and in it.
(Popping trained potential. PL: 125,389. Learned it in a thread that takes place before this one, just wasn't graded yet. If you ain't cool with it, Kari, I can change it.)
"Shouldn't.. Leave this out in the open.." she growled out loudly as she got to slightly lift up the side to tilt it as she simply just started to move so she could get under the center of the ship. "It'll get blown up as target practice.. Or ransacked.. Or both.." she mumbled out as she moved, "Besides that, unless you like violence.. You might not like a lot of the 'fun' things here. Like.. THere's events where you punch people. And there's.. Well.. More events where you punch people. This isn't no Earth." she said with an annoyed tone.

KaulaThe Ryashi watched with mild interest as Aspa flew away. It looked like there was a juicy little spat going on between him and what appeared to be his boss. Or at the very least a comrade with a similar rank based on their interaction. That part was a bit difficult to pin point. Kari-Ko had a tendency to grab the nearest snack and watch things like that play out. There was just something so strangely alluring about observing potential drama unfold. As long as it had little to nothing to do with her, anyway. She couldn’t explain why she found it so entertaining. Trying to would probably take away some of its charm. Kari-Ko might have even had the gall to ask the woman about it further if she didn’t have a broken ship and a companion who was so nervous that she looked like her joints might have been in a permanent state of being locked. ”Racist, huh? I’m not sure which deity we must have pissed off to crash land here, but it sounds like it could be worse. I’m Kari-Ko,” the brawn of the alien duo returned the introduction. She pushed herself off of the broken ship’s rounded roof to land beside her companion, giving her a light nudge to the ribs with her elbow. Sake seriously needed to lighten up. If this Saiyan woman really wanted to beat them to a pulp, she would have thrown a punch by now. ”Erm... Sake,” the fox girl grumbled under her breath before slamming the engine compartment hatch shut. Kaula had been sizing up the ship during the brief conversation that the women were having. The partial Saiyan woman quickly showed why. Kari-Ko felt her power level spike as she grabbed onto the side of it and lifted it off the ground. The blonde off-worlder gave the commander a brief round of applause for the feat of strength that had been displayed. It seemed appropriate. ”Probably not. It may not fly right now, but it’s not like we’ve got anywhere else on this planet to crash for the night,” the Ryashi agreed. At the mention of the fact that this planet was no Earth, Sake’s eye twitched in annoyance. ”Good!” the Earthling snarled. Well, at least the fox girl wasn’t nervous enough for that little comment. Kari-Ko had never been to Earth herself. It was the one planet that her companion absolutely refused to travel to. Supposedly it had something to do with her family. ”Easy there, champ,” she couldn’t help but chuckle. Seeing Sake riled up was always good for a laugh. Realizing that she had let her guard down for a brief moment, Sake flattened her fuzzy ears against her skull and took a step backwards so that Kari-Ko was between her and Kaula. It would seem that she had forgotten for a few moments that their present company freaked her out. ”Anyway... Punching stuff isn’t so bad. My companion here doesn’t just keep me around for my stunning good looks,” Kari-Ko said with a smirk. It was quite obvious that Kaula was leagues above her in strength, but that didn’t mean the Ryashi didn’t know her way around a scuffle. ”Think someone in the capitol could use some labor from a pair of non-Saiyans? I have the sneaking suspicion that the parts we need aren’t going to just be handed to us on a silver platter. Food would be nice too.”
