In all of his previous years of fame, Johnathan never bothered to actually explore the world in any way. Big city to big city, they all blended together in his memory - probably not helped by the drugs he was on all the time back then. It was easy to forget just how huge and expansive this blue planet could be if you only raced from grey city block to grey city block, ignoring the natural wonders and dangerous, uncivilized places in the world. Well, dangerous for a normal man, at least. Walker was no normal man anymore - his blood was swarming with microscopic robots, which were slowly transforming his entire body into Bio-Metal, an adaptive and learning metal many times stronger than the human body, with unlimited potential.
Or so his father said before dying, at least. Right now, he was apparently still human enough, because something had picked up his scent - something he was now running away from, with slight panic on his face. "Nobody told me there would be TIGERS here!" complaining with his mechanical voice, which was somewhere between bad voice synthesizing and the sound of metal scraping against metal because of his high pitch in panic, John ducked under a huge paw of the animal chasing him. Since when did tigers grow to be this big, anyway?! This was just ridiculous! And insane! He was only here to clear his head with some fresh air, not to run away from a giant tiger! And right now, he certainly didn't want to test the limits of his new cybernetics by fighting a huge animal. Getting eaten was NOT helpful in any way, shape, or form!
"Get away from me, you overgrown cat! Too much metal in your diet is unhealthy!" taking a sharp right turn, barreling through some extremely high grown bamboo, the wild chase through the Bamboo Forest continued.

Not too far off, a halfling and a wolf were loafing instead of hunting for something to eat for later. The wolf was curled into a ball with its face buried into its paws while his owner was laying on top of him with her face buried into his furry neck. Now this was the life, nothing to do, nowhere to go, and all the time in the world until your body decides you need to eat. Both their ears twitched at the sound of yelling, and after Tariph did a quick assessment of the two speeding power levels and when she couldn't feel the runner's she decided if they were strong enough to suppress their power they would be fine and rolled onto her side. When the chase seemed to be closing in on her little area and the sounds became too hard to ignore she grumbled and rolled off her companion, landing on her butt, taking her staff, and scratching her back with it. "Come on, let's go catch dinner."
The dire wolf opened his mouth into a loud yawn as he let himself unfold from his position. After a moment of stretching the pair split and ran to meet the runner with the silent ability of stealth that comes with hunting. Within moments the others came into a view, a strange human running from an averagely powered tiger. if she were one to pass up a meal practically begging to be roasted in a pit she'd let whatever was going to happen with these fools happen, but because she wouldn't she leapt from her cover without a sound and delivered a kick to the large animal's head before it even knew she was there.
The tiger fell onto its side, skirting against the forest floor with a pained cry while Tariph ran at it before it could recover. Her staff seemed to give off an almost blue light as it swung down on the frantic animal's skull, the sound of wood against bone and a sickening crack range through the trees and scattered birds away from their resting spots. A second later Wocane was on the faintly breathing, brain damaged, animal, sinking his teeth into the creature's throat and tearing out the muscle that trapped the blood beneath it. As the ground was slowly coated in a puddle of blood Tariph thought to herself that she should hang it up so the blood would drain faster while patting Wocane's head with a playful, "Still useless as ever." His response was to trap her hand between his teeth and bite down lightly.
When she finally remembered the stranger that was running from a cat like some kind of mouse, she turned to him and pointed at the carcass on the ground "I'm taking this." That pretty much sums up her concern for the human's well being.

[Tariph wouldn't be able to sense anything from John, he's an android.]
The chase finally ended, thank the heavens. Something fast and brutal slammed into the tiger and threw it to the side - coming to a skittering halt himself, the android slowly turned around, wondering what kind of massive predator he'd see now intent on making him the dessert. Possibly some sort of huge dinosaur? A snake as large as a river? Thankfully, it was 'just' the apex predator of the modern world, also known as a human. Or was he? Well, he looked human enough to John, who just sighed a sigh of relief over no longer having to run from this damn tiger. ... Thinking back on it, why didn't he just try flying away? Or shooting a bolt at the thing? Gah, it was so hard to get used to being a machine! Half the time, he forgot his own abilities and skills.
Activating his scanner, the woman standing before him didn't seem to be considered a 'huge threat', but she was far from harmless, registering as a being of around 9500 'energy level', according to his HUD. John just watched as the strange person walked over to the tiger on the ground, caved the skull of the animal in with a staff, and then... a wolf appeared? A pretty big one, too. Some sort of pet? Companion? Friend? Well, whatever purpose the giant wolf was serving, at least it wasn't currently trying to snack on John. That made it more likeable than the tiger, despite the pooling blood on the floor.
The android reached into his pocket and pulled out a half-empty pack of cigarettes, fishing one of them out just as the stranger seemed to really notice him for the first time. Raising one eyebrow to her intention of taking the dead tiger, he just then shrugged his shoulders. "Sure, I wasn't planning on keeping that giant furball." said the android, his voice obviously artificial, before lightning up the cigarette he took out earlier with a minimal crackle of blue lightning coming out of his index finger. Inhaling the smoke deeply, he then held out the pack of cigarettes towards the stranger, with his own one held in the corner of his mouth. "Take one, if you want. You probably didn't intend to actually help me, but anyway, thanks. I don't particularly enjoy getting chased through a dense forest for hours." Oddly enough, John wasn't really tired at all - he voice was calm, too, not even interrupted with heavy breathing as you'd assume from someone who just ran for his life. Weird, one of these days he'd have to actually test the limits of his improved body.
"How did you take that tiger out, anyway? I've never seen someone move that fast just by running."

Tariph regarded the stranger curiously, she didn't know much about androids and wouldn't have been able to tell something was amiss if he hadn't opened his mouth, but now she was slightly interested. How hit lit his cigaret confirmed her earlier thoughts about him because she knew the dead feline Wocane was drooling over wouldn't have been able to stand a direct shock to its skull. Speaking of that overgrown canine, the halfling swung her staff mere inches from his head when it looked like he was going to start tearing into more than just the dead thing's throat, making him leap back in return, "We've been over this, you only get to eat early when you've actually helped." His response was a vexed glare as he laid down and licked blood off his paws. Tail waving slightly in good humor, she was just about to motion for Wocane to drag their meal back to camp before remembering they weren't alone. It's hard not to forget a robot's right behind you.
She waved off the man's offer with a jest, "No thanks, I like it when my lungs work properly." then realized, "But you probably don't have to worry about that, I guess." Taking a moment to lean on the staff, tail wrapping around the base while both hands held on just above it, her lean could almost be taken as a scrutinizing crouch while sizing the android-robot-whatever-thing up. "Well you're right about one thing, so you're lucky we were hungry or else you'd have had to kill it yourself. Or climbed up a tree like a weirdo." She moved closer to him, narrowing her eyes while examining his front, then back, "What are you talking about, anyway? There are plenty of people who move loads faster than I do, half of them usually try to make sure they get media coverage if they can." She tried to lift the back of her shirt with her tail, the words 'personal' and 'space' currently having no direct correlation between each other in her mind at that moment.
"Even if you've never looked outside your house for ten minutes you sound like one of those robot things people like to talk about. The humans that turn themselves into top-tier fighters or something like that. Pretty sure you're supposed to be faster than me unless someone was over exaggerating." She was more talking to herself than him at this point, it seemed like her mind couldn't process something being more than an object if she couldn't sense them at all. When she did remember she at least started talking directly to him again instead of musing, "What are you doing out here, anyway? You don't look or, well, act like the type who'd take a nice stroll around animals ready to rip apart anything they get a scent on." 'Unless turning into a robot also caused brain damage.' She thought to herself. Tariph would still behind him is he hadn't turned around by now.
