[Thread PL: 58,542] [Heavy Weights On, PL= 14,635]
Ever since the Blu had arrived back on Earth, Liang felt light as a feather. His training in the Blu's hyper-advanced and extremely daunting gravity chamber at ten times his home planet's gravity had gotten him mostly accustomed to Vegeta before he'd even stepped foot on the planet's surface, but what he didn't learn in the stresses of body, he learned double in stress of the mind. His thoughts were now in conflict now that he had gotten a glimpse of what Saiyan life was like. His Master had always taught him that Saiyans were violent, barbaric beings who lived only for war and conflict, disregarding the misfortunes of those they trampled. He'd been taught they were warmongers, and that letting your guard slip even slightly around one was like inviting a predatory beast's chance to wreak havoc. He'd painted them as such a demonic and evil people, but after seeing what he did on their home planet, he had taken a while to clear his mind and try and sort out his own beliefs on the matter rather than blindly follow his Master's stories. He'd witnessed Saiyans all over the palace they'd visited marked in road maps of rugged battle scars. The younger of them were so brash and overconfident, while the elders were tempered and wise. They showed a respectable restraint, and some had even been completely diplomatic with the Blue Banner. Surely if Saiyans had been so terrible as he was led to believe, then the Administrator and his accompanying KAOS cell would neither have entered nor left Saiyan property without a fight. Pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration, Liang sighed and massaged the area in a stressed fashion Before planting his hands on his knees.
From his seated position, he gazed out across the beach of the island he'd claimed for a day. Admiring the sparkling waters as the sunlight danced and glittered across the surface of the vast blue, he felt that this particular choice of scenery would have helped to calm his nerves a bit; so far, it hadn't. He had a lot on his mind between his Blue Banner responsibilities, his thoughts on Saiyans, and his concern for keeping up on his training to remain an asset to the organization he believed so strongly in. Perhaps that was why he'd strapped on his weights for the flight over to this chosen spot, and remained seated with them still on to that very present moment. He'd attempted to take his mind off of some of his stress a few moments earlier by doing some basic physical training exercises; nothing outside of his normal, though. He'd gone through a few long sets of upper and lower body exercises and worked up a good sweat, the beads of which had mostly disappeared after a well-earned long drink of bottled water. He reached into his travel pack and dug around for a quick snack, eating quietly to keep his stamina up. He had attempted to convince himself he desired solitude, and as such, didn't leave a whole lot of notice with the rest of KAOS for his short trip out. On the way back from Vegeta he had began to work on a method to disguise his energy output, hopefully making him a little more difficult to track when he wanted his alone time.
Finishing his snack, he calmly placed his hands on his knees firmly once again and closed his eyes, focusing his utmost into a meditation exercise he'd grown fond of. Focusing his ki into his core, he began deep breathing exercises, allowing the energy to ebb and flow in a manner similar to a spiderweb extending outward in diameter and shrinking back in. With each ''pulse'' he completed, the energy reached a little further and brought a bit of a calm to his body. His muscles relaxed and his furrowed brow sank into a more calm and peaceful look, free of his stressed wrinkling. For a new exercise, he began to focus on the core after the ''web'' of energy had fully branched out, weakening his hard focus but still keeping his meditation breathing active and paced. Slowly, his power output began to trickle downward as his aura began to die down like the embers of a dying flame. While it wasn't perfect and he experienced a few spikes of output back up to his actual strength by simple stressed mistakes, he eventually brought it to a slow balance as it trickled ever downward; it eventually reached a point he couldn't hide until further practice. However, he'd successfully hidden about half of his weighted power, likely making him a lot less interesting to passers-by, were there any at all. Members of the Blue Banner would recognize his familiar signature, though it would seem much weaker than it should be, hopefully throwing them off so he could think and re-affirm his motivations after making a decision or two.
Should he remove his weights or lose his focus for an instant, his output would certainly rocket back up to the normal by instinct and stress.

Kaula grunted out as she skid to a halt in her jog. Currently clad in nothing more then tight, black gym shorts, a sports bra, her usual dark green scarf, and her sunglasses, she had been jogging earlier. Her dark, athletic body glistening with sweat suggested that she had been here for some time, and that she had been busy working out. But for now; she stopped. Her hands stationing themselves on her hips as she glanced towards the calm waters of the island. "It's weird." she muttered to herself, "Being alone out here." there was a pause, "On Earth." she added with a growl. She didn't know how exactly she FELT about that. Earth. Home of the humans. Home of her biological father. "If mother was here, she'd probably urge me to get more in touch with my human side." she growled to herself. Of course. That impurity, as she usually put it. She was so disgusted with that side of herself. That difference. The thing that made her stick out on her home planet. That.. Weakness, as she thought of it.
She let her thoughts fester, the Saiyan slowly growing more and more agitated before she suddenly went to kick up a bunch of sand, letting out a loud cry of frustration as she dug her nails into her palms once she had formed her fists, that monkey tail of her's whipping at the air once. She was mad. She didn't understand any of this. Why did her Aunt kick her out. It couldn't have been to explore this planet. She already sorta hated it here. Her mother had always talked about it's beauty.. But she didn't understand. It was too.. Calm. Too serene. It would make her weak if she allowed her guard to go down. She'd become too weak, weak like the humans! She didn't want that! It would mean the Saiyans back home were right! And they couldn't be right! No, that simply wasn't allowed.
The young Saiyan went to kick at the sand again, before flailing her arms out again and letting another roar of frustration, "THIS IS STUPID!" she'd yell out, presumably to no one. She didn't know if anyone else was here.. Nor did she really care if anyone else was here. Her chest rose and fell as she took in deep breaths, slowly starting to calm down as she flopped back onto her ass with a solid thud. She gave a slight flinch, as that was never a comfortable choice of sitting down, but she was feeling pouty so she could care less. So she simply sat there, a few feet from the waves, likely in eyesight of the man nearby, just staring at the water again.
".. I don't get it."

For a good while, he was beginning to relax at least a little bit. His thoughts slowly began to drift away into clarity with his new found confidence in obtaining some solitude. He let the sounds of the environment surround him and take him away as he fell into a trance-like state from the noise of the calm waters washing onto the beach, and the tropical trees gently swaying with the wind. He could almost call this a vacation at this point now that he'd finally allowed himself to relax a little. Continuing his slow breathing exercises as his aura calmly cloaked his body, helping to stave off the heat of the geography, things were going well up until he heard a frustrated shout. Wincing as his shoulders perked sharply, he gently cracked open his eyes and slowly rolled them to the sides of his field of vision, seeing if he could catch anyone out here with him in his peripheral vision or if he was just hearing things, his mind possibly playing tricks on him. Beginning to turn his head when he failed to see anything, he folded his arms quizzically as he remained seated, hoping he wasn't going crazy from all of the stress of recent events. He was somewhat relieved to see that someone had indeed been there, even if the sand the girl had just kicked up had been carried by the wind straight into his open and vulnerable eyes in a thin mist. Letting out a grunt, he rubbed at his eyes and plucked out a stray grain or two; it was likely she hadn't even seen him yet.
Wondering what someone would be doing out at an island like this so secluded was starting to get the better of him. Most average people were content trying to take a personal vacation somewhere that made sense, not a deserted island, no matter how peaceful it was. He watched her plop down hard onto the sand with a seemingly frustrated demeanor. While at first he had debated on just leaving her to her own devices as she looked fairly angry, his curiosity ended up getting the better of him after a few moments and he rose to his feet in a smooth movement with the strength of his legs, folding his arms behind his back, he began to make his way over to where the mystery woman had seated herself. He began to inspect her; he'd met a lot of androids, a few Saiyans, and a couple of humans that were worth noting, and judging by her wild black mane of hair, his first shot in the dark likely would have been Saiyan; they tended to share a few traits across their species when it came to hair, and it certainly seemed to fit the bill. As he calmly and quietly stepped over through the sand, he let his eyes trail to the ground as he caught a skittering movement from the corner of his eye.
Looking down and lifting his foot to look underneath it, he spotted a crab. While it was pretty hard to read the body language of a crab, it made a snip at his pant leg with its claw, and it was only then that he noticed he'd kicked sand over a shell on accident, probably one it liked. As he kept his leg raised, it suddenly darted forward and pinched onto his other leg, causing him to furrow his brow and grunt in pain as he hobbled one-legged over to a nearby tropical tree, bracing against it with his arms as he flailed his leg up and down. The crab held on for dear life, intent on revenge. ''Gaaaaahhhh! Get off get off get off!'' He started flailing his leg a little harder, hoping to get the crab off of him long enough to make a daring escape. He didn't figure he'd look like the hero causing harm to a small animal, so his natural response would be to free himself of its hateful grasp and be on his way; if he could find the shell he accidentally buried, he'd probably dig it up later to see if it calmed the creature down any.
It was at this point that he realized he was still in eyesight and earshot of the mystery woman, causing him to freeze, embarrassed, as paranoia set in and he thought he could feel a judging gaze on him.

It just wasn't fair she simply thought, crossing her arms as she sat there. She didn't know how else to think of it. She didn't want to be out here, and just wish she could stay at her aunt's house. Nice and sheltered. Away from all the humans. But noooooooo. She had to leave. She had to go on an adventure. It'd build character for her. "Bah." she grumbled to herself. She didn't believe any of that, she thought, as her tail angrily flicked to the side.
That's when she heard something, her ears began to twitch at the sounds and the Saiyan sniffed at the air. She turned to glare at the thing behind her, her narrowed eyes hidden from behind her sunglasses. What the hell, she thought this place was uninhabited. But here there was, some random guy. Right there.. Unless.. She paused and went to slowly stand up, glaring at him as she went to start pointing towards him.
"PERVERT!!!!" she'd shout out. That was her only reaction to the whole thing. It was so clear, she came her to relax and try to train in privacy.. But some weird, from the looks of him, human had somehow came here.. And he was clearly spying on her, of course. She paused and went to try to cover up her chest, as she wasn't wearing a whole lot, there. Damn humans, damn all of them.
((Sorry for the short post. x3))

As his crustacean assailant continued the assault, Li hobbled about the beach, finding the added stability of the tree wasn't helping much. The crab swung around with determination, whipping back and forth in the air taking a wild ride of vengeance. Desperately, Liang hobbled over to try and find where the shell was buried by the sand. He heard the accusing shout of the woman, having labeled him a pervert or some sort of peeping tom or stalker, and immediately flew into a panicked shock. He fell over and the crab saw its chance to strike a mighty blow, releasing his leg (which was still in the air) and falling into a drop to land square on his face. Grabbing a firm hold of his nose and pinching for dear life, it began to bonk him with the other claw. Scrambling to his feet and stumbling around blindly with a face full of shelled sea animal, he stomped around blindly before tripping over the shell and uncovering it. Slowly, the bonking stopped and the grip on his nose released. Plugging it with one hand (the crab had bloodied it with its iron grip, comically enough) he lifted the shell into the crab's view, where it immediately but gently snatched it and cradled it close before scuttling away, clicking its little claws in victory. Letting out a sigh as he stood up and withdrew a small roll of bandages, he wadded up two pieces of cloth and plugged his nose.
Still feeling the woman's ire-fueled glare, he saw she had taken measures to cover her chest after shouting. He felt as if he'd been put on the defensive, so naturally, he was going to defend his position. The panic didn't help with that. He hurriedly bumbled a shout back to her in response to the verbal assault. ''Oh, in your dreams! I come out to my favorite island to try and get some nice and quiet solitude, and i'm stirred out of my exercises by some woman shouting at me! I was here first, y'know! Maybe you're the pervert, PERVERT!'' He stamped his feet in annoyance and couldn't believe he'd been caught in this kind of situation when all he wanted was some peace and quiet; yet here he was, being reprimanded by a mystery woman who for some reason thought Liang had been using her as eye candy. She did mention training at least, but now wasn't the time for that; the young tiger had his honor at stake! Keeping his temper contained but letting just enough out of the pot to create a little steam, he folded his arms defiantly and stood his ground. There was no way he was going to back down from being called a pervert! He didn't offer any hint of a defeated sigh just yet.
After a few moments of pause, he suddenly chimed back up across the way at her.
''Wait, you're out here training? Training for what?'' He offered a quizzical look, making sure to keep his eyes above chest (or rather, arm) level. It would be the first female fighter he'd come across actually training if she was serious; Reikiko didn't really count, because Reikiko was...well, Reikiko. Not to mention terrifying, so he wouldn't mention seeing her in the first place even if he had come across her somewhere.

Kaula sorta just.. Watched the guy act like a total idiot due to some little creature. What were they called. Crabs? She seemed to recall that name. She got lost in her thoughts while the man had some type of crab battle. ... Crab battle. That had a nice ring to it. "Craaab battle." she ended up saying to herself quietly before she started to giggle softly. She wanted to laugh at him some more, but by time she had gotten out of her thoughts, it seemed that the man had kinda already won the battle.
She stopped smiling to go back to glaring at him. She had an image to keep up with, and she called him something but she had already forgot what. "Pshaw!" she replied to his words, stamping her own feet down. She didn't care who was actually here first, what was important was that she say that she was the one here first. She knew that. "Psh! I was here like.. Long before you were here. Like.. Totally." she'd respond as she glared at him, moving her hands down to her hips to put emphasis on her sass. "And like I'd oogle the boogle that is your body. Please, you aren't even my type." she added. She'd admit that much, at least.
"Just training. What, you never seen an elite Saiyan Warrior before?" she'd ask as she brought an arm up to flex those muscles. She did have a pretty toned and athletic body. The mocha-colored girl just pouted after that, crossing her arms again, "Probably haven't.. You weakling.. Pervert." she half-mumbled.

After his desperate struggle against the crab (who was still scuttling away, clicking in a cry of victory, and had been joined by others in its clicking, clacking celebrations) he had somewhat of a moment to calm down a little bit. That is, until he heard the woman laughing at him. While he wanted to be sort of upset over it, the mental image in his head of what that must have looked like barred him from being anything but amused. Noticing she was still giggling away, his face turned a little red. He scratched at the back of his neck nervously and rolled his eyes up and away, trying to act like he hadn't noticed. If he tried hard enough to ignore it, it wouldn't matter in a few moments! Having won his crab combat by default, he couldn't believe he actually felt like celebrating. With the plugs in his nose making his voice a bit more nasally than it should have been, he decided to keep quiet for now unless the woman yelled something else his way.
Which, of course, she did.
Apparently she had gotten the crazy thought into her head that she had in fact arrived here first, probably to justify her claim of him being a pervert. Oh, no. Oh, no no. That just wasn't going to fly at all. He huffed and folded his arms, stamping his feet again in a stubborn grump. ''Pshaw! Yeah, I bet you like, totally were here before I was!'' He barked back in a mocking tone of voice, only made even more-so by his nasally voice from his nose being plugged. ''As if! I've been coming here for weeks, y'know! I haven't seen anyone around here a single time!'' Of course he'd lied twice, but he wouldn't let her know that. Firstly, it had only been a few days, and second, he recalled rescuing an injured Saiyan who later joined up with the Blue Banner as a member of KAOS; a Saiyan named Peis, who he'd found beaten and mangled on an island outside of a wrecked pod. After the ''type'' comment, he decided he couldn't be bothered to yell anymore.
The human advanced toward her in a passive stance, though obviously still keeping his stubborn emphasis as he trotted over. As soon as she mentioned the word ''elite'', his face contorted until he couldn't hold back his laugh anymore. He towered over the woman, and personally, he found it hilarious. ''You mean they make elites that short!? Pfffft!'' Now it was his turn to laugh, and he used the time for all it was worth. Seeing her flex for emphasis only made it worse. ''Seriously, i've been to Vegeta. Did you hit your head on the way down or something? I was stronger than the bulk of the ones I ran into on my trip, and that was me at my regular strength.'' He'd worn weights during his short trip to Vegeta, but that claim was mostly true; he had the ability to triple his energy output, and without doing so, a lot of the Saiyans had found themselves surprised at being outclassed by a ''dirty human''. Of course the ones that held more important or higher ranked positions were much closer or somewhat above him, but the finer bulk had clearly been insulted just from him walking around.

The girl brought a hand up, pushing her sunglasses back up her nose. She would have been content after that laugh. She would have walked off, yeah. Simply walked away, without really caring. That would have been the end of it. Kaula would have simply left and left the pervert to his perving, or whatever the hell he was doing.
But oh no. He just had to do it. No, no. He just had to mention it.
It wasn't his lies about having been here before. Kaula truly believed she was here first by this time, but she didn't care about what that man had said. He could try to claim all she'd want, but all he'd get out of her was a slight shrug and a sarcastic, "Suuure you were."
It wasn't until he came over, standing over the young Saiyan, to stare down at her.. It wasn't until then that she had started to glare up at him. It wasn't until he said the short comment. "What.. ... What did you just call me..?" she asked with a soft growl. Did the human.. The scum.. Just comment on her height!? She began to growl a bit, nails digging into her palms. She raised her hands up, placing them onto his chest before trying to push him back. If he wouldn't budge, she'd play it off as a slap-bump with her hands. "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU CALLING A BEAN-SIZED MIDGET YOU DIRTY CREATURE!?" she'd shout out, likely hurting the poor human's ears, as she glared at the man. She was.. Clearly pissed. Seems he struck a nerve. "I don't care WHERE you've been and who you've fought. You have not seen ANYTHING like me before." she said, bringing a finger up to forcibly poke him.
"I don't have to take this.." she growled out, turning around as she threw her hands up. Seems she was starting to walk away, flipping the human a double bird as she moved. "If I ever see you again, Pervert, you better hope it's in a public place so I don't destroy you." she sure did seem confident.

As he continued laughing and sizing her up, overall having a good time and feeling victorious as if he had reversed the argument in his favor, his eyebrow quirked as he slowly calmed his laugh down to a chuckle, then a giggle, and then into silence. She looked visibly angry, and her body language gave that away right off the bat. Pushing her sunglasses up her nose in annoyance, the tension in the air couldn't have been chopped through with a freshly sharpened butcher's cleaver. There was a storm brewing, and it was at this moment that Liang noted Saiyans were famous for their massive tempers. What it took to release that anger came in varying personal degrees, but it was pretty clear he'd struck a personal cord. He continued to curiously look down at her, wondering when the screaming was going to start. Was she going to sock him? Just yell at him for a while? There was no real way to tell, so he braced for whatever was coming. He probably deserved it anyhow.
Her hands lifted up and collided with his chest, budging him only slightly due to his previous brace of caution and having planted his feet firmly. She followed with a slap-bump, causing him to jump slightly in surprise. His eyes widened a little bit but he didn't back down, even as she sat there screaming a storm of obscenities his way. Yep, it sounded like he deserved it alright; her height must have been a really personal thing to her, and he hadn't meant to take things that far. He didn't say anything back, rather just sat there and let her vent on him for a while. He would have plugged his ears as at this point they had taken on somewhat of a dull ring from the angered volume of her furious voice, but he didn't for whatever reason. He just stood there, half dumbstruck at the sudden escalation of the encounter. He wasn't afraid, but he just felt it was deserved due to her reaction. She finished off her long-winded outburst by needle-poking him with one of her fingers, causing him to stumble a tiny bit for the second time before turning to leave. She even made a threat, and he'd at least answer that.
After she took off, he decided he'd just give her some space instead of following after her. Noting her double-bird salute aimed in his direction, he shrugged helplessly before cupping his hands to his mouth and shouting after. He'd apologize the next time he saw her, but he'd save it for now; she likely wouldn't care at the present moment, hot-headed as she'd become. ''Hey, uhm, i'll give you some time to settle down, okay!? Maybe i'll see you around! I didn't mean to make things personal, but if I see you again i'll save all that for then!'' It was all he could think to offer for now, really; he'd apologize to her if he ever saw her again, and extend the offer of a friendly spar if she still had some bottled up anger to work out. Now, it seemed he felt bad; if she looked behind her, she'd see his shoulders and overall posture had sunken down a little bit and he awkwardly kicked at the sand, but he was letting her go. He'd offended her enough, and wasn't looking to make things any worse.
Hopefully, he'd see her again to make things right, and start over on the right foot.
