Kaula let out a grunt as she fell to her knees, a single hand gripping her stomach. She was bruised worse than a banana that was thrown down a few flights of stairs. The young Saiyan’s chest rising and falling as she glanced up towards her opponents, a single hand reaching up to feel at her dark green scarf as she did. They were her cousins. They were both girls. Coliflo and Olave. They were like her, yet so different. Unlike her, they weren’t impure. They weren’t tainted by the stigma of being part human. They didn’t have to live with it! They were family but they still gave her shit. There was a solid thunk of a fist hitting wood nearby, “KAULA!” a stern voice said, “Get back up and fight! Show me you are worth carrying my name, my legacy!” It was her aunt. She never seemed too pleased to have her here. With a soft grunt, Kaula slowly raised off the ground and onto her feet, her tail wrapping around her waist slowly. "Yeah, freak. Come on, fight. Unless if you're afraid!" Seeing the two infront of her.. It reminded her of some bad times.
“Hey freak! Trying to run away from us again?” asked a young voice, “Yeah, aren’t you supposed to be an elite like us? HUH? Didn’t think you were a coward.” A younger voice spoke. “But what can we expect with someone who isn’t really even a Saiyan.” They were two boys. It was years ago but Kaula remembered the memory like it had happened yesterday. Cress and Gula. Two of the popular kids at school, and two of the strongest. They had usually given Kaula shit about her human heritage, and today on her way home from school; she had tried to avoid the two. That obviously didn’t happen as she was staring at their two ugly mugs while being cornered in an alleyway. Kaula had simply decided to stand there, her emerald eyes glancing down at the ground as they verbally abused her. She wasn’t scared, not yet anyway. Cress moved in to throw a punch towards Kaula first.
Kaula took a swift punch to the face from Olave, sending the young woman stumbling back with a grunt as she was pulled right out of her mind and into reality. She growled out as she stared at the second cousin who was now charging at her, clearly intent on pounding her into the ground. Kaula wasn’t going to have any of that. Not right now. She brought her hands up to catch the other Saiyan’s arm mid-punch. Coliflo gasped out, clearly not expecting that and what was about to happen as Kaula spun around so she could flip her cousin over and slam her onto the ground.
Young Kaula let out a grunt as she took another punch to the face by her two bullies. They were laughing. Laughing as the abused and berated the poor girl. They kept saying they were doing her a favor. That she should thank them for helping her. For trying to drive the impureness that her whore of a mother had conceived. It was then that the young saiyan girl had simply snapped. She raised a fist up to catch the next punch as she stared the older of the two, Cress, right in the eye. “Don’t. You ever. Talk about my mother!” she’d shout as she reeled her head back to simply SLAM her forehead right into his nose, causing him to reel back, gripping at his face. “You scum!!” he cried out, “You’ll pay for this! I’ll tell my father and you and your pitiful mother will be dead. DEA-“ he was cut off as there was a swift slam of young Kaula’s fist to the boy’s face, sending him stumbling back again before he tripped and fell right on his ass. “No.” Kaula would mutter out, “I won’t be.. And you won’t be leaving here today.” She charged at Gula, bright green energy forming around her hand in the shape of a blade. Poor kid barely had time to react before she was upon him, the blade soon sinking itself into his chest. He sorta stood there before Kaula raised her other hand up to push him back where he simply thumped to the ground. Gula was still alive.. But with how he was bleeding, he wouldn’t be for long. Cress, in the meantime, just sat there, staring in disbelief as Kaula approached him, her blade dispersing as she brought her foot up in a swift kick to his head. He went down and soon Kaula was ontop of him, sitting on his chest as she raised a fist to simply SLAM it right down onto his face without mercy. “Don’t.” she raised her other hand, repeating the motion, “You. Ever. Talk. About. My. Mother. Again!” she shouted, emphasizing each word with a swift, hard punch. She didn’t stop at that either. She didn’t know how much time had passed. She did know that her hands hurt. A lot.. The boys were dead at this point. Gula had bled out while she was busy bashing Cress’s skull in with her bare hands. Kaula stared in disbelief. At the boys.. At her blood-coated body. She didn’t know what to do. It was already dark by now. At least that was good. She didn’t waste any time and simply ran home.
The scene was pretty gruesome. One of her cousins, Olave was already on the ground. She had a cut in her side, it seemed, and she was busy clutching at it to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile Coliflo was laying beneath Kaula, trying to keep her head out of the way of the young woman’s strong punches. What finally stopped Kaula was her aunt placing her hand on her shoulder, "That is enough, little one. How about you go take a break." The Saiyan snapped out of her little fit of blacked-out rage fit to look at the damage she had done. This wasn’t the first time it happened, and it wasn’t the one with the worst outcome. But still, the scene was pretty bad. Without a word, Kaula slowly stood up and trudged to her room.
It was the next day already. Kaula had managed to fuck up her hands the other day due to deciding to punch the floor more than a few times, so she was given some rest; as were her cousins for the beatings they got from her. Kaula was also pretty bruised from the fight, but not as bad as the other two were. She sighed, tugging at the bandages wrapped around her right hand as she walked outside into the backyard. Her Aunt’s house wasn’t in any town, though it was near one, it was more out in the woods; away from everyone else. She liked her privacy. Kaula made her way to the place she usually sat when she was alone, underneath a simple tree near a small pond. It was a nice peaceful part in her life that the young Saiyan woman always cherished when she had a chance to enjoy it. She glanced down at the water, staring at her emerald eyes for a few moments in the light of day. Oh, how she hated those eyes of her’s. They reminded her of how impure she was.
“Oh, Kaula. How I love those eyes of yours. They remind me of your father’s.” the calm and caring voice of Radasha spoke out, a hand reaching out to stroke Kaula’s cheek gently. It was a week after the murders. They were labeled as unsolved. People knew it was likely Kaula who did it. She was the one who had the most reason to do it. They just couldn’t find any proof. That didn’t stop their families from hating her, though, and wanting revenge. “I think I will miss seeing your beautiful eyes.” Kaula let out a soft sniffle as she went to look down. She didn’t want her mother to see her eyes fill with tears, not at all. Not even an hour ago, her mother had told her that she needed to move away from her. Not to another street. Not to another city. To a whole other planet, to live with her Aunt and Uncle. “B-but.. Mom.. I-.. I don’t want to leave you. I don’t WANT to go to Earth!” the young Kaula would try to protest. “Come now, honey. You’ll love it. Your father was from earth. Did you know that? It’s the most beautiful place ever, I’m told. I’m jealous that you get to go.” “Well why CAN’T you come with me!? Please. I don’t want to be alone there!” “But you won’t be.” Kaula let out a quiet pout, deciding to stop breathing for the time being. This was actually happening to her. She didn’t want it to. Why. Why did it have to happen to her!? Why was she cursed like this!?
Radasha let out a soft sigh, lifting Kaula’s bag up so she could put it on the young Saiyan. “Don’t worry. I’ll join you after a while. But in the mean time, I want you to have this my love.” She said as she removed her dark green scarf from her neck to gently wrap it around the young Saiyan girl. Kaula sniffled out again as she looked up, tears swelling in her eyes, “You promise..?” she asked quietly. “Yes dear, I promise.”
It wasn’t too long after that, that Kaula was being brought onto a ship with some other Saiyans. Granted, these ones weren't the ones she was worth. They were smelly low-class born ones. Before entering it, she was given a kiss by her mother and given a few words of encouragement. When she was in it, she tried keeping to herself. She.. Did not like the low-class Saiyans. They reeked. Reeked of weaknesses.
The travel was slow, but eventually the ship had arrived at it's destination. Earth. She didn't like the smell of the place when she first stepped off. Humans. Everywhere. Sure, they looked kind of like Saiyans.. But.. The lack of tails. The weird hair colors. Their smells. It made her want to barf. She was about to wander off when there was a hand placed on her shoulder. She glanced back to see a Saiyan! Yes! One of her kind! One who wasn't a low-class scum. "I believe you are my niece.. Certainly not as strong as I thought you were.. But we'll work on it."
Kaula coughed a bit, reaching up to rub her bandaged hands over her eyes before she brought them down to feel at the scarf tied around her neck. “Why are you still there..?” she muttered out softly, picking up a stone to oh-so casually toss it into the water to disrupt the reflection so she could finally look away, up to the bright blue sky. “This planet is.. Weird. Why would my mother fall in love with someone from.. Here.. They’re so weak.. This place is strange.” "You get used to it after a while." came a calm voice from behind her. Kaula wiped any remaining tears from her face and gave a last sniffle to turn and glance back. Olave was there. "Oh hey. Didn't see you there." she muttered before looking away, "... Sorry for getting carried away again." "Don't mention it. We've gotten used to it, since Coliflo can't keep her stupid mouth shut." they both seemed to chuckle about it, the younger cousin putting a hand on, "If you want to t-" "I'm fine." "Alright b-" "I'm. Fine." she growled. Sure, Olave was the kinder of the two.. Well, sometimes too kind. It bothered her sometimes.
Having decided to head in after that, Kaula had met up with her aunt. The taller Saiyan glanced down to her, "You." she'd say. Kaula went to glance down to the ground instinctively, "I want you to head into the city." "Wait-" The younger Saiyan glanced up, "You want.. Me..? But I've spent pretty much my whole time on this planet here! I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with the di-" Her aunt raised a hand up to silence her. "Don't argue. Just head into the city for once. I've decided you should get out for once instead of moping around here." she simply stated before pointing to the door. Kaula just groaned, putting on some boots and her sunglasses, and simply left.
The way there was peaceful, at least. It was a nice quiet walk through a forested road, the light from the sun sprinkling in through the leaves. As she took a breath.. She started to feel that this could possibly be what her mother had ment when she said the planet was a beautiful place. Yeah.. She liked it. That was until she started coming upon the city. The stench of humans reaching her nose, causing her to wrinkle it as she finally stepped on pavement. "Disgusting." she'd mutter as she glanced to the side. It was a large bustling place, after all. Nowhere near as large as any of the capitals; but still, pretty big. She sighed and just started to wander around the city, her tail simply swaying behind her. Kauala eventually found herself wandering down some busy market street. Vendors and store fronts all over the place, people wandering around. Most of them were humans. Sure, there were some humans. But she didn't really see much Saiyans. That's when she froze. Every muscle in her body simply froze as what felt like an electrical current swept up her spine. She struggled to glance back to see.. A child. A human child, with a little shit-eating grin staring right up at her. And his grubby, little, disgusting hands? Currently wrapped around her tail. Like this was some GAME to him. He tugged on it once or twice. "Mommy! Mommy! Look at the lady's tail!" he'd proclaim, causing a lady to gasp nearby and scoop up her child, "I am so sorry!" she'd proclaim. But Kaula wasn't having any of that shit, the moment she turned around, she had raised a hand with full intention of teaching both the mother and child a lesson in why they should have NEVER messed with a being like her. They flinched, the mother trying to hide her child while a few pedestrians stopped to stare at the scene. Kaula hesitated before slowly lowering her hand, "Keep your spawn in check.." she'd simply grumble before turning away to start walking again, her tail wrapping around her waist.
Kaula continued to explore the city. She hadn't bought anything because nothing seemed to really intrigue her yet. But, the problem was, it was starting to get dark. Not only that, but she was in a more shadier area of the city, "Right." she muttered, glancing around, "Where am I?" she continued to speak out to herself when she heard a nearby commotion. What was that all about, she wondered, as she went to slowly wander towards the sounds. The Saiyan simply stuffed her hands in her pockets as she happened upon a small scene. It seemed to be a group of men around a make-shift ring in a dirty-old alley. Within the ring, of course, a few of those dirty humans had been fighting. There was also a boombox there playing some crummy music. One was currently on the ground, the other, a shirtless man clad in what seemed to be some weird headgear, white shorts, red boots, and boxing gloves was standing triumphantly which caused the group of humans to cheer out. "Who wishes to challenge me next!?" he'd shout out, causing Kaula to scoff out loudly. Such a silly man. But she'd humor this, as she had nothing better to do. She stepped past the humans, physically pushing some out of the way as she made her way into the ring. "Right, human. I'll be sure to make this quick." she'd say as she went to stretch lightly. The poor human seemed to laugh at this. He thought he was strong. Poor, poor, thing. "Ho ho. You're going to be flattened like croissant dough!" he'd say with a French accent, clearly laughing a bit, as he rushed the Saiyan. The woman ducked down, her tail unwrapping to smack the man in the face once before she shot right up, headbutting the guy in the gut. He fell back, clutching at his stomach as he started to cough out. Kaula, on the other hand, was already standing up straight, adjusting her sunglasses as her tail wrapped back around herself. "Pathetic." she'd grumble as he slowly made it back up onto his own two feet. Kaula just sorta stood there idly as he caught his breath and went to charge at her again, moving to charge at her with his glove-clad fists raised. He went to send a few quick punches her way, Kaula shaking her head as she casually dodged each one. In his defense, he was a lot weaker then her. Kaula simply brought a hand straight up to slam right into her jaw with a solid thud. The poor human seemed to stumble back, spinning on a foot before collapsing on the ground after the strong punch. The other humans simply sorta.. Stared in disbelief as Kaula walked over to the boombox, inspecting it for a moment before she turned it off. "This is mine now." is all she'd say before she pushed her way back through the group. It took longer then she'd be willing to admit, but Kaula made her way back to her Aunt's house. Sighing as she took her boots off at the door and set the boombox she had pretty much stolen right near there as well. Olave looked like she was sneaking a late night snack when she saw her cousin trudging towards her room, already stripping as she moved, "I hate humans." is all she'd have to mumble.
A few more days passed. Kaula hadn't done a whole lot. But her Aunt thought it was time for her to resume her training after the short break. She met her Aunt in the little dojo area of her home, but this time it was sans-cousins."Right, little one. Are you ready to step it up in your training?" "I thought you'd never ask." she responded, as cockily as ever. Her Aunt didn't give her any warning, the larger Saiyan charging right for her niece. Kaula gasped out, stumbling back to narrowly avoid a punch, "Coulda warned m-" she got cut off and let out a loud grunt as her aunt's knee connected with her stomach. The young Saiyan girl fell onto her ass and started to cough as she gripped her stomach. "People stronger then you won't give you a warning in the real world. Now get back up." Kaula shook her head and went to slowly stand up, coughing a bit more, "Fine." she said as she took up another stance, staring straight at her aunt who simply started to walk towards her this time. She would have gone to simply tap her hand on top of the little Saiyan.. If that hand ant the after-image of her didn't disappear. That's when Kaula sprung her trap and launched up from the ground, easily headbutting her aunt in the gut. Granted, it didn't go out the way Kaula had thought it would. Her head fucking hurt after that. She went to start stumbling back, reaching up to grip her head. "Son of a bitch.." she'd growl out before glaring at her aunt. No. No way was she losing to her. Not today. Kaula raised her fists up to get ready as she charged back at the larger woman, starting to simply throw punches at her without restraint, "Now you're just throwing punches. Did you forget you-" "Shut up!" Kaula brought a hand back, bright green energy surrounding her fist in the form of a blade, which the girl just started to flail at the woman at random. In her rage, she had simply abandoned all of her skill and tried to go with brute force. And she never even laid a fist on her family member. "Enough!" came her voice as she threw a solid punch at the young Saiyan's face. Everything went black for Kaula.
It was a few hours later, Kaula let out a soft groan as she slowly sat up. She was back in her room. She let out a sigh and slowly pulled herself up onto her feet as she began to shuffle out of her room, only to be greeted by her aunt, "Oh. He-" "I need to talk with you." she'd say as she pretty much forced Kaula back into her room. Kaula remained silent now as her Aunt started to speak, "I hope you enjoyed your outing to the town earlier. Because I want you to go out and explore the planet" "B-" the older saiyan raised a hand to silence her, "Learn to accept what you are. You are my sister's daughter. You need to not hate yourself, even if others seem to." she'd say as she went to bring the smaller Saiyan into a hug. Kaula just sorta.. Stood there. She didn't know what to say now. "Be sure to train everyday. Be a good girl. Don't kill someone just because they annoy you." her aunt joked, causing the younger Saiyan to grumble.
After the lovely heart-felt goodbye from her aunt, Kaula had packed some of her things. She first decided to head into the city nearby first. She was idly walking along, the tail of hers was simply swaying behind her. She happened upon the same market street that she was in the first time she was in the city. She looked up the orange sky, a sign that the sun was already about to go down. Geeze, she'd look like an ass at night, wearing sunglasses.. If she really cared. That was when the familiar feeling of electricity shooting up her spine happened again. She froze. Someone was grabbing her tail again! Some grubby scum had their disgusting hands on HER tail. She went to struggle to glance back to see that same human child from before! Except he was different this time. His mother seemed to be nowhere close by. And he was.. Crying.. "Let go.. Of.. My tail." she'd growl out. He did, but when she tried to walk off he stopped grabbing for her tail and moved to hold onto her leg. GAH! Disgusting human, why did it seem to be so adamant on touching her. "What do you want." "M-monkey lady.. I c-.. I c-.." "Spit it out, child!" "I can't find my m-mommy." The hybrid let out a sigh and reached down to grip the back of the boy's shirt to lift him from the ground, and her leg. She stared right at him, her cold eyes just staring from behind her shades. The poor thing seemed pitiful. Tears and snot leaking from its face. But what really caught her.. Was his green eyes. She couldn't believe she was about to do this. "Where did you see her last..?" she grumbled out loudly.
It took her an hour. One hour of her precious life she'd likely never get back. But she held the child's hand as they went searching from store to store. It almost seemed like she wasn't going to find the child's mother in time, until they had found a somewhat hysterical worker in a resturant. "Mommy!" the boy would call out as he let go of Kaula's hand to run towards the woman. The woman, clearly happy with this, would go to hug her son before looking towards Kaula for a moment. "Thank you so much.." she'd say. The saiyan only gave an unseen roll of her eyes at this. They offered to bring her to their home and feed her.. But if it wasn't for the growling of her stomach, she would have turned them down. She was brought to their small apartment. It didn't look like they had much. It was pretty small, but the mother still did cook as much as she could for the Saiyan, knowing their appetites. While they talked, the Saiyan had learned both of their names. Elizabeth and Batthew. "I'm Kaula." she'd say in between shoving food into the vacuum that was her mouth. "So what are you doing here?" "My aunt kicked me out recently. Was told to explore." "Oh that's.. Interesting. Where do you plan on heading?" "Dunno." "Alright.." the woman said as she went to stop eating. "Well I'm going to put Batthew to sleep-" "But moooooom." "- NO BUTS! I'll see you in the morning." she'd say before standing up and ushering him into the bedroom. Kaula sighed, looking at the dirty dishes. She'd move to pick each of them up and start washing them before collapsing onto the couch with a huff.
The next day. Kaula had slept in a bit and Kaula was left at the home with Batthew, apparently. Seems that the hospitality wasn't exactly free, and she was stuck with the kid. She stared at him from behind her sunglasses. "What do you want, kid?" "Could you take me to mommy's work?" The Saiyan sighed before slowly going to sit up on the couch slowly, rubbing her long hair a bit, "... Fine. Then I need to be going." she'd say as she slowly stood. Grumbling as she grabbed her pack to move to the bathroom to get changing. She paused in there, though. Taking her glasses off to stare herself in the eyes. She almost didn't feel the hate that she normally did. "Damn humans.." she grumbled. Almost. "Making me feel weak." she said before commencing the much-needed use of the shower and then changed her clothes, with the exception of the green scarf. She wrapped that around her neck and tied it off a bit, her fingers lingering on it, before she went to step out of the bathroom, pack over one shoulder, "Let's go, Brat." "Hey, my nickname is b-" "I know." she'd say as they left. The trip there was a bit dull. She was just walking a bit ahead of the boy as they headed towards the resturant, that's until there was a sudden yelp from behind her. Kaula quickly spun around to see.. Wait. Who was that? It seemed to be some tall, scrawny man. He had red hair and a long coat on. He was currently gripping Batthew and had a pistol held to the kid's head. "I shall teach you! You! You cannot make a mockery out of me. Ho ho hoooo~" the man would say with that obnoxious French accent. Poor Batthew seemed terrified of what was happening. "I-.. Uhmm.. Who are you? And how about you let go o-" "SILENCE! You freak!" he'd shout out. Kaula twitched.
“Hey freak! Trying to run away from us again?”
Kaula stood there, digging her nails into her palms out of anger. "Then come at me." is all she'd say. The disgruntled boxer went to push away the kid then. And that was his first mistake. She charged right at the man, slamming her fist into his jaw with a solid thunk. He dropped his weapon and collapsed onto the ground. The Saiyan slowly made her way over to his collapsed body, getting ontop of him as she raised her fist up, ready to start attacking. The man started to cry. Tried to plead with her. Tried to apologize. "I-i'm sorry I pointed a gun at the kid! S-sorry I called you a freak!" That caused the Saiyan to twitch again, hesitating in her punches.
"You going to cry, freak?"
NO! She wasn't going to cry! she thought to herself as she brought down her fist HARD. Her vision was hazy in her rage and had just barely missed his head, slamming her hand into the pavement of the sidewalk instead. The man cried out, clearly afraid for his life at this point. Granted, he was thankful that she seemed to be 'threatening' him now, instead of straight on using him as a punching bag. She went to slowly stand back up, stumbling away from him.. WHen she noticed he tried to get up. Kaula moved closer again, slamming her foot into him so he'd fall back to the ground. "I am NOT done with you yet. STAY DOWN." by this point, people had gathered around. A lot of them seemed too afraid to move in and stop her, though. She slowly raised her foot back up.
"Maybe we should kill you, so your whore of a mother won't be ashamed?"
She growled out and SLAMMED her foot down onto his midsection, the Saiyan growling out as she just started to abuse the damn boxer for his actions. "You don't even deserve to get my fists dirty with your blood!" she shouted at him, clearly gaining her more then a few on-lookers. The poor man started to sob between the grunts as he was abused. "You. Do not. Call. Me. THAT!" she shouted, giving him a SWIFT kick to the face
"Didn't think you were such a coward!"
She was damn well about to slam her foot down on his head again when she heard a quiet, "Kaula?" It was Batthew. Damn kid had forced himself to the front of the kid and was watching, clearly a bit horrified.. She decided to slowly step away, glancing back to him. She grabbed the small pistol and went to shove it into her pack before motioning for him to follow as she made her way away, the people in the crowd clearly moving out of her way. "Come on, kid. Let's.. Go." is all she'd say. Damn humans. Making her weak. They got back to the resturant, but Kaula didn't go in. She didn't want Elizabeth to try to thank her again, so she had the little Brat walk in and decided to simply walk off after that. She wasn't going to be roped into another reward. She needed to simply get out of this city and start to 'explore'. Easy peasy. "Just try to ignore the humans, Kaula." she mumbled to herself as she adjusted her sunglasses, her tail wrapping around her waist, "They'll make you weak. And if you end up weak, you end up dead. Like the humans." And with those words, she started her journey. Who knows where it'd take her next. Maybe she'd make some friends. Maybe she'd end up always filled with hate. Maybe she'd learn to cope with her past. Either way, it'd be an adventure most likely.
“Hey freak! Trying to run away from us again?” asked a young voice, “Yeah, aren’t you supposed to be an elite like us? HUH?
