For those reading this, please note some of the details surrounding how certain things work are still being discussed, but we wanted to bring this out into the open to discuss and spoiler you all with:
First, the existence of Soul Power:
Coming next in another episode:
Tutors/Masters (we're still working out who/what they will be, expect more about that soon)
Special Tutors (>_> there be a disturbance in the ki...)
Ultimate Techs: (POWAH INFINITE POWAH MUAHAHAHAHA *coughs*)
SPC (Cause the afterlife never felt so alive...)
First, the existence of Soul Power:
Soul Power:
Upon death a character will unlock a new currency they are capable of using. This currency is known as SP, or Soul Power. Soul Power is said to be the very essence of one's spirit, and whether in heaven or hell, people within the afterlife will find that the mortal restrains around their physical body have been lifted, granting them the means to strengthen the very power of their soul.
By spending time in hell or heaven a person will find their soul slowly absorbing tiny fragments of lingering essence, perhaps former villains or heroes whose mere presence alone already has left behind that residue. It's rather fascinating to note that within heaven and hell there is an unusual pair of individuals, known as 'The Soul Traders'. Those peculiar individuals seem to be willing to trade one's soul essence in exchange for various boons.
How to obtain Soul Power:
By roleplaying in the afterlife, either through solo threads or group threads a person is capable of obtaining this new currency, in the same nature as Soul Power. Soul Power, due to its potential usefulness will only possess three potential 'bonus' modifiers. Group, Afterlife saga (only allowed if a large enough amount of players are in the afterlife) and Master training. Aside from those Soul Power will be obtained by using the regular grading method.
Master Training:
Once a week (or maybe twice) a player is allowed to train with a master/tutor. This will serve as a solo with a similar effect to capped Gravity Training. This basically involves the player training alongside the tutor they were given after their 'application'. This training also serves for them to formally train a canon technique.
Soul Power Shop:
The Soul Power shop is special, in the sense that it will have a standard set of items, but also a potential 'rare sale', the rare sale basically happening like this.
Standard sale:
PL or Zeni: 1:.25 ratio (1 Soul Power for 0.25 PL/Zeni)
Master Swap: 2000>3000 Soul Power (allows them to re-apply for a new master, the cost increases the more often you ask for a swap.)
Physical Vessel: 5000 Soul Power (Cuts your potential revive cooldown by a x period (maybe a week), also needed if you want to learn special/ultimates)
Basic Technique: 2500 (Allows you to learn a basic technique from a tutor, doesn't take a slot)
Special Technique: 5000 (allows you to learn a special technique from a tutor, no slot)
Ultimate Technique: 10000 (Allows you to learn the ultimate technique from a tutor, no slot, only one can be learned at a time, or perhaps only one can be used a thread)
Wipe Techniques: 4000 Soul Power (allows a player to clear up/forget any number of techniques they know and learn new techniques, kind of like a reset)
Rebirth card: 200k Soul Power (the most difficult thing to obtain. Since people seem to adamant about the idea of swapping to a new race, or remake their character and such) By spending 200k Soul Power the person is basically able to change their character. This can be anything from only a race, or their gender, to a whole remake basically a free recreate option. Keeping in mind that it takes a heavy 200k (imagine 200k PL) I'd say it's a fair deal for end-game users, or those who really want to retire their stuff without starting anew entirely. Maybe even add a temporary -x% PL while one is rebirthed so they are adjusting to their body.
Special sale:
Now the tricky thing, every x-period of time an active mod is appointed to handle the 'special' sale. This moderator basically picks 1~2 items from a set list, and basically posts those up during a day (preferred random). Those items come in limited quantities, and only can be purchased once a sale by each member, and are limited to one specific item purchase during their sale period (so no stocking up on Soul Power and buying neat things) for example.
PL or Zeni exchange: 1:1 ratio (limited to a x% of the player's PL. For example someone with 100k PL can only buy up to.... when they reach 150k PL for example. this % is just an example, a specific number will discussed later on)
Delicious Fruit of Might: 6000 Soul Power (+12k PL for half the price)
Bottle of HolyFanta water: 6000 Soul Power (+12K PL for half the price)
Specific Master card: 5000 Soul Power (allows a player to select a master of their choice, if they meet the requirements for learning their moves)
Houdini Card: 100k Soul Power (free revive/counts as being revived by the dragon balls)
Special Master Card: Auction (basically bidding, with the highest bid getting the card)
-Note, Holy Water and Fruit of Might are the same, just for heaven/hell members
