I think anything steeper than 20,000 is too much, given the 'level' of rewards the balls give, which we haven't ironed out, but I doubt they'd be worth 100k zenni/pl.
As for Scargot, he did ICly create the balls before vanishing, and he's still arguably the Kami. did he leave OOCly yet? I don't mind having them be 'created' even if he's gone.

Not the Dragon Balls. I meant the Radar.
I'm not sure about Scargot.

Yeah, I know. I figured the dragon radar would seek to reduce the price of trying for a ball, or give you a free shot at a ball every x days.

Didn't think that. That could work out! In which case, 20,000 could work out for us.

If you have the radar you can get a free 1-7 roll every week or something.

Indeed. Do we know if there's a code that we can implement for dice rolling that's available to this board type?

VDICEAnother thing the radar might do is eliminate the chance of rolling for a dragon ball you already have, which could save you a lot of hassle.

If memory serves, the radar ran about 50k in the console games when they turned it into a buyable option. So that could be the base starting point for buying a radar. no lower though since it is and was a very unique piece of tech that no longer held value with the passing of time until now. But I do have something to point out. The dragon balls are made, put into circulation and they are finally all gathered to make a wish. What will be the cool down method of re using them? It took a year for the dragon balls to recharge in the show.

I want to say realtime year. What would be the level of power these Dragon Balls have, btw?

It seems like there is a consensus forming around a lottery concept.
Nai-Ran brought this point up, and I agree that it might be necessary to have the Dragon Ball owners be challenge-able if the challenger has a Dragon Radar, so that they can then activate a DE wherein if they win they take the balls from the loser. It'd make a lot of RP sense. "Hey, my radar says you have the ball."
I'm going to try and formalize these ideas soon into a post and put it up for a vote so we can move forward on this. I personally like the idea of everyone starting out with only 1 ball and not being able to buy more after that, that way there is much more of a long arc regarding their collection (which may take a year, given the gap).

I'm not really a big fan of the whole "dragon ball owners can be challanged" concept. That will literally turn the site into even more of a power level grind than it already is, simply because you'd have to maintain the #1 spot in order to keep a dragon ball. Like, say, right now. If say, I had a Dragon Ball, and Reikiko wanted it, she could one-shot me and take it. Hell, she could one-shot Vipoi and take it if she wanted to. For a site that prides itself on "Storytelling" it seems stupid to include something competetive like that.

How would you ever gather all of the Dragon Balls if the owners couldn't be challenged? Much of the manga deals with people being challenged/challenging for the balls(Red Ribbon, Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, etc.). Not being able to fight for the Dragon Balls seems a bit off. The site is of course about a story, but it's a story about a show that centered on fighting people, and much of the time over these objects.

There were also instances of people taking dragon balls from other people without fighting, because they knew they'd lose. Like Gohand and Krillin digging up the Dragon Balls on Namek to steal them away from Freiza without fighting the Ginyu Force. Or Pilaf in BoG when he went to steal them away from Bulma's birthday cuz he couldn't fight the Z-Figthers.

*facepalms* For a setting that prides itself on fighting, people are kind of scared to fight when risks are involved.
Silliness aside, there are some potential counters to that argument:
First and foremost:
Dragon Ball Challenge: If for some reason or another Reikiko figures out you have a DB, and has interest in getting them? There's no story-based excuse she couldn't take it from you by force like Frieza did to the Namekians. However, 'safety in numbers'. Since a challenge would possibly count as a Open thread (perhaps a mini-saga type) there's nothing stopping you from playing tactical and trying to get the advantage of numbers. For example: Vipoi + Ninjin + Daiki = Too much for me to handle, even Vipoi + one of those would likely force me to go onto my full capacities.
Hide & seek It's illogical for someone to have 'all' the DBs on them at a time (unless like you'd have enough guards to carry them all). For example, what if Reikiko retrieves a DB from someone? It would still force her to look for the remaining ones, and would have to hide hers somewhere. That means she'd either need to get a guardian to protect them, or genuinely hope that nobody has a radar and finds them before she returns.
To remove a competitive aspect, from a shonen setting makes me seriously wonder if this is about balance, or out of concern/Fear about those on top possibly being able to threaten those with the DBs. If one is truly concerned about something like this, then perhaps add a 'cooldown' for DB challenges? Like you can only challenge someone for a DB fight ever x amount of time.
