DISCLAIMER: This might sound like a rant, but I'm actually looking for advice on what to do next, hence why I put it in general discussion.
So, after seven months of not posting anything whatsoever to this site, I finally decided to get off of my lazy butt and make a thread which would officially end my time in hell. But just to be safe, I decided to check the rules of the site to see if anything had changed. It was like playing "Papers, Please", but with more Power Levels and less Artstoska. Anyways, just as I thought that nothing had changed, one thread caught my eye. One labeled "NPC Restrictions". The gist of it is that for non-purchased NPCS:
1. They can't have explicit PLs.
2. They can't have extraordinary forms such as SSJ.
3. NPC-controlled factions and gangs can exist, but they can't have any plot importance.
4. They must be "plot-irrelevant, in that they have no individual role that majorly effects the shared story".
For those of you have rp'd with me in the past, you probably know exactly where this is going. For those of you who haven't rp'd with me, or for those who don't know my character at all, Jican is a Saiyan who decides that the SSE's ways were wrong and decided to flee to Earth. He ends up befriending Shibo, a laid back Majin, and they go on adventures together. Shibo has not been purchased as a character, and therefore must fall under these 4 rules.
The issue here is that Shibo is well, a fighter just like 99% of the other people on this site. If Jican fights someone, Shibo fights as well and that has the potential to be relevant to the "shared story". What's worse is that simply cutting off Shibo just wouldn't work. I can't kill him off since as of right now he's already dead, and I can't have him get some sort of injury that prevents him from fighting because Majin's don't really have bones. And even if I DID find some way to make him irrelevant, it just wouldn't work. It's like trying to play a Mario and Luigi game without Luigi, or trying to play Ice Climbers with only Popo.
Now to some, this might sound like "cHaNgE tHe RuLeS jUsT fOr Me" but that's not what I'm saying at all. What I AM asking, however, is for your advice. How would you guys go about changing a tag-team duo to just one person?
