“General,” it wasn’t even a permanent promotion, more of a field promotion in lieu of any living imperials capable of holding the title. Vennel was mulling over the results of her meeting the other day with Habana. She’d need to assemble the troops, as it were, and she now had the clearance to do so. But where to have the meet up, was the question. Well, the answer to her question came sooner than she expected. A passerby on the densely packed streets of the saiyan capital bumped into her, which snapped her attention back into focus as she looked up and noticed where she was. As luck would have it, she was standing just half a block down the street from the square that bordered the Radittsu District and the part of Cacumber she was in. It wasn’t the most discrete of locations, but it served as a good point to meet up and find a new place to have their meeting. Her own house was lacking, and very far out of the way, the Hofferson address she got from the imperial databanks was located in the low class housing district, much like her old apartment was, and the others had military lodgings, as far as she knew. As she walked towards the square, the saiyan woman reached up for her scouter. Having even just the temporary rank she had, she was given clearance to look up the specific scouter IDs of the individuals she needed to contact. A message would be sent out to the Hofferson family scouters, Purika, and Kaza, which read: “Your presence has been requested at the Western Square by General Vennel.” The message was even tagged as urgent, in addition to the usual encryptions that signified it was an official missive from the Imperial high command. This, she hoped, would be enough to get their attention that this meeting was of high import, and should be kept rather mum. Upon reaching the Square, she waited at the street corner, overlooking the rest of the square. Carts of goods were parked, where merchants peddled their goods, mostly of food or tech shops made up the brick and mortar establishments, while the more temporary carts offered lower priced goods coming from non-commissioned merchants, most of whom were slave races who’d gained limited freedoms one way or another- at least, thats what Vennel had assumed of them. Her eyes darted around, looking for signs of anyone that might be a spy, or some sort of wandering ear that didn’t need to be present when discussing delicate information. The slightest sign of which would make her mind up concerning moving the place in which she’d discuss their plans, but thankfully she saw nothing of the sort. More specifically, she saw there was a restaurant that was known for it’s foreign cuisine from Kabocha, though none of the staff seemed to be Kabochan, as far as she could see. If anything, that would serve as a place they could meet, discuss the operation, and even catch a meal. Now the waiting game began, hoping that she’d not be left waiting too terribly long, the newly minted field general would bide her time.

Purika sat on the couch in his father’s house, having gone there before a soon to be battle just in case it was the last time he got to see them. He was confident that he was going to come back perfectly fine, though. He wore his black jumpsuit along with his traditional saiyan armor, bearing the elite crest. Him, his brothers, and his father were enjoying themselves right now. Purika took a few gulps out of the beer in his hand as his brother cracked some jokes, having a good time.
He made a mental note to train his brothers when he returned. He had gotten plenty strong, so why leave them out? While they were enjoying themselves, Purika’s scouter made a beep. Purika tapped the button on his scouter, opening up the message that was labeled as important and even being sent from high command. Had the time come for him to fulfill his duty? He hoped so, he was just itching to fight or destroy something.
Purika read the message, it was from General Vennel. “So she’s been appointed General now…”, Purika thought. He rose from the cushioned couch, closing out the message as he read the location. He turned to his family. “I suppose it's time for me to head into action.”, Purika said, “See you guys.” After his family said goodbye, Purika exited the house and looked up to the sky.
His crimson aura burst out around him before he darted into the sky, heading towards Western Plaza. He already knew where it was, having passed it on multiple occasions. Once he was over the square, he halted himself and his aura disappeared. His scouter calculated the Generals power level, which was his first time seeing her maximum. He descended from the sky and down in front of her.
“General.”, he said, acknowledging her. “What do you require me for?”, he asked, knowing the most obvious answer was for war. He folded his arms while waiting for a reply.

In the upper districts of the Cacumber Capitol, Kaza had recently moved out of her crummy apartment and had been assigned a proper place to stay. Turns out a promotion came with more than just bragging rights! The greatest part about having a bigger home was that she finally had enough room to stash away all of her equipment and construction tools.
Stacks of cardboard boxes filled with all sorts of junk were stashed away in the corner of her living room. She had yet to properly decorate the place, nor did she really feel like it. With an exciting war looming on the horizon, Kaza had little time to care about things such as decorations. What she did care about, however, was a special project she had been working on...
A personal robot, so to speak. Built mostly for combat, but also to help her around in things she was too lazy to do on her own.
The best part? Kaza was finally done building a prototype!
The satisfied Majin lifted up her protective goggles, and smiled with glee as she finally finished touching up the inside wiring of her little robo-bot, which she aptly named Proto. Shutting the compartment, Kaza activated the robot by pressing a button on the remote controller it came with. With a mechanical whirr, the robot sprung to life, standing on two legs shakily before its metal head turned to Kaza.
''Greetings. How may I, be of assistance too-day?'' It spoke to its creator in a robotic tone. Kaza snickered, knowing just the way to test if her project actually worked the way she wanted it to. ''Insult me.''
''Bitch. You smell like angst and those red lines on your face make no sense, motherfucker. KRRZZT!''
''Perfect.''
It seemed her prototype was a success. Kaza had yet to install any combat-related systems inside of the robot, nor enhance its capabilities with Resilium, but it was working exactly how she wanted it to so far. Suddenly, however, a screen present on the robot's chest lit up. ''You have an incoming message from: [General Vennel]. Do you wish to read it?'' It blapped at her. The robot was directly linked to Kaza's scouter, explaining why it was able to pick up the message Vennel sent her. ''...Wait- General?'' Kaza said in confusion, before snickering amusedly. ''That's cute! Boot it up, Proto.'' She waved a hand, and the robot complied.
After listening to Vennel's message, Kaza could probably guess what was to happen next. The Western Square wasn't exactly a place to be heading out to war, so it definitely wasn't that. More obvious would probably be that they were going to talk things over one last time, just to make sure everyone was up-to-date with their plans. While Kaza already knew what they were going to be doing, she didn't see any problem in talking it over again. Who knows, maybe some new information was dug up on Xylo?
''Alright, thanks, Proto.'' Kaza nodded, and turned her robot off once more. With all that said and done, Kaza left her home with a satisfied smile on her face. Finally having finished construction on her robot did put her in a better mood, even with war looming over her and her Empire.
Taking off to the skies, it wouldn't be long until Kaza arrived near the Western part of the Cacumber Capitol. Touching down on the ground, her eyes scanned around, trying to find the familiar face of her comrade. Instead of that, though, Kaza could directly feel her energy not too far off from her, as well as someone elses...Was that...-
''Purika?''
Neat. Well, Kaza certainly wasn't expecting him to be there as well. Chances are that Vennel didn't tell Kaza due to...Well, obvious reasons. As much as Kaza wasn't looking forward to having to work together with that bozo, she really didn't have a choice in the matter. So the Majin Officer simply swallowed her frustration and turned the corner, meeting face to face with her comrades.
She greeted both of them with brief nod and half-smile, snapping a quick salute before folding her arms. ''What's up, you two? Didn't think Purika would be joining us, honestly. He gonna be helping us with our little...You know, plan?'' She asked curiously. A shred of doubt was hidden in her tone, wondering if Purika really was the best choice for their mission. Kaza wondered something, though, why was he here, but not Kizuki? Realizing this, Kaza sent their General a quick telepathic message.
''So uh, why's the dumbass joining us? Did something happen to Kizuki, or...?''

"Capper did it. You owe me twenty bags of Crunchies."
"Chire, I have no idea what you are talking about."
Collard looked away from his book, glancing down at his wife, whom was lying down on the lower trundle of their bunk bed. "I believed he could do it from the very beginning, and you know that." The father saiyan spoke in a blunt tone, closing his novel. Chire's expression wasn't that amused, to say the least. The robust mother rolled her eyes with a groan in response to Collard when he spoke. "Thirty bags. Thirty-five if you don't want me to tell Capper you bet against him." The parent spoke in a smug and knowing tone, causing Collard's eyes to widen. Looking down at the conceitedly proud Chire, Collard would narrow his eyes. "You WOULDN'T."The son of the brains and brawn duo had recently applied as an officer to the Solar Empire. The gods had been exceptionally merciful as of late, and wouldn't you know, the little weakling got the promotion! The new officer rubbed it in whenever he got the chance, and rightly so. It wasn't everyday you could say that you met a saiyan officer with a power level of twenty. Collard doubted that Capper would get the job, but Chire, Chire believed in her kid right from the start! "Oh, I don't know Collard..." Chire spoke, twiddling her thumbs with her family's signature smug smile. "It's pretty easy to start talking when your mouth isn't full of chips." Collard narrowed his eyes, a few beads of nervous sweat dripping down his head all the same. Sighing once more, Collard would lean off of his bed and speak in a threatening tone to his wife. "Bet or no bet, buying thirty-five bags of Crunchies is a RIDICULOUS expenditure." Collard sighed, folding his arms and lying back on his bed, staring at the rotating ceiling fan. "I'm sure Courgi would agree." "How about I ask him?" Chire spoke, whipping out her Z-phone. After minimizing her video on Baotube of Capper and Etoru's fight, which had around five hundred views now, Chire would send a quick text to Courgi, whom was currently in the other room being upgraded by her son. After a few moments, a response came in from the robotic grandfather. "He says to get him two bags." "CHIRE!" Collard shouted, loosing his cool. HE threw up shaking hands into the air, an eye twitching in irritation. "I DON'T EVEN HAVE A COUPON!" The father proclaimed, earning a hearty laugh from his wife. Collard took a breath in, shaking his head and rubbing the bridge of his nose in clear agitation. "Kami, I swear." The father mused before his eyes drifted to the still smug Chire, whom was waggling her eyebrows. "Fine. Deal. Done. Just don't tell Capper." A smile spread across the female's face quicker than Capper would run from Xylo. "Yessssss!"But before the two could organize the details of the Crunchies situation, another ping would echo from Chire's Z-Phone. "What, is my father demanding more bags of Crunchies?" Collard spoke in a tired tone with another sigh. Chire let out a quick grunt, flipping open her messages to see a text from an unknown number. Odd... "Oh... Oh shit." Chire remarked, her eyes widening. "Wait, what is it?" Collard questioned, rolling to the side of his bed and leaning off, hanging upside-down to look at Chire's phone. "Well, looks like they up and replaced Mayze. Some general Vennel lady wants to see us! All of us!" Chire proclaimed, letting Collard see her phone... The name was oddly familiar to Chire, but it rang a few bells in Collard's brain. "You mean Ms.Not-Queen?" "Yeah, her."
The two exchanged quick chuckles before Chire stood up out of her bed, stretching her muscles. Still in her PJs, along with Collard, she'd trot out of the room and call out to her son and mentor. "HEY C--- OFFICER CAPPER! COURGI! URGENT ORDERS!"
Peering into Capper's room, Chire would be met by her son and husband's father glancing up from their work, with Courgi hunched over and sitting down so Capper could fiddle with the systems and wiring in his back. Capper raised a brow, but seemed pleased that his mother addressed him by his title. "General Vennel is requesting us all pronto at the West square, so you two better get your rears in gear!" Chire needlessly yelled, despite the short distance between them. Capper covered his ears while the exposed Courgi seemed to spark a little. "General who?" Capper questioned, rubbing the side of his head. He had been working on Courgi for a few days now... This put quite the damper in his plans, so the reasoning for a call had better be good, general or no general. "The not-queen." Chire answered blatantly, repeating Collard's words.
Capper put his hand to his chin, digging into the corners of his mind. Finally, recognition flashed. "Ohhhhhh, her! I know her!" Capper remembered, recalling Vennel's short rule over Vegeta- it was promptly cut short by Zucceta swiping the rug out from under the saiyan. A shame, really.
Collard soon emerged from behind Chire, though the mother quickly dashed outside, still in her navy blue pajamas. Collard sighed, looking down to his own green sleep-wear... Would they really have to meet such a high ranking SSE member in these clothes? Chire didn't seem to care, or even notice... Shrugging as Capper slapped Courgi's metal exterior panels back on, Collard would follow his wife, picking up Capper and placing the boy on his shoulders before taking into the air with a half-built Courgi in tow.
Capper had grown to enjoy flying, so long as they were close to the ground. Arms outstretched with a smile on his face, Capper's eyes would only open when his scouter would let off a sudden beep, detecting high power levels gathering below, and one smaller (and also suppressed, unbeknownst to Capper) power level.
Collard narrowed his eyes, glancing across the area before just barely recognizing Vennel. She was... different, to say the least. Even though they met on Konats a few months prior, the difference in her strength was staggering. Shaking his head, Collard would gesture for his family to follow as they dove to the ground, skidding over to the temporary General, along with her saiyan and majin comrades.
Collard rolled his shoulders after little officer hopped off, standing in the front and center of all the assembled Hoffersons. "Officer Capper Hofferson reporting for duty, General!" Capper spoke with a quick salute, walking over to Vennel. "Oh, and these guys are here also." He gestured to his family. Courgi was trying to keep one of his loosley screwed, but upgraded armor pieces in place, while Chire continued to give an uncomfortable Collard a smug glare. What a team.
Now noticing the other summoned fighters, Capper would briefly send Kaza a quick smile, remembering the majin from Konats- she was nice enough. And then there was.. Purika. What was that clod doing here? Capper sent him a dirty glare before glancing back to Vennel, folding his arms and leaning against his grandfather's metal leg, tail lashing about. "It's not every day we great and mighty Hoffersons get summons. So, what's the hubbub?" Capper spoke, clearly having a confidence boost from his new rank, although his arrogance increased tenfold...

It had been quite a while since Vennel had people watched. She recalled doing that a lot when she still considered herself a low class warrior, slumming around the bars in Radittsu. Watching newly commissioned saiyan and alien youths alike parade around like they owned the place, so full of pride. She even remembered a time when she was like them. It made her sick to her stomach. Many did not deserve the right to serve the empire, not yet. But with a real fight so close on the horizon, many would soon find that battle field to be their last, and the truly worthy would rise above the corpses of their brothers and sisters. Her thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice coming from above her. The first to arrive made himself known, Purika. He greeted her by her title, which was fitting for a rank and file soldier like himself. When last she met him, they had sparred and she only displayed a small portion of her full power, but with the title of General now hinging on her success, she felt it more prudent to display what she was capable of, so that those under her command would respect the strides she’d taken to get to that point. Purika, refusing to hesitate on the matter, asked promptly what the purpose of his summons was for. Vennel merely remained quiet, however. It wouldn’t make sense to explain herself over and over, given the number of people requested. And even explaining as much would have been a waste of breath, as she could feel the various powers converging, having almost arrived by this point. Which she appreciated, promptness and swiftness were paramount to this operation’s success. She had honestly worried she’d have to whip a group of slackers into shape before taking off, so it was refreshing to see she made good picks. The next to arrive, carried a familiar voice, and an associated smell that was less familiar. Kaza, who faintly smelled of grease and oil, no doubt from her newly picked up hobby of electronics and robotics. She hardly expected the majin to be quite so affected by her most recent absorptions. At the time of the deeds, she wasn’t familiar with that aspect of her people, but soon came to understand it through exchanges between herself and the periwinkle power house. Her demeanor brightened upon seeing Kaza’s arrival, and replied to her mental message. Kizuki isn’t a commissioned soldier, therefore I can’t bring him to these sorts of talks, even if this is a rather public space. We’ll fill him in, but this is more for yourself and the other hands I brought on for the job.Hopefully, her reply would be enough to satiate the majin’s curiosity, before the newly minted general inclined her head once more, seeing a few figures rapidly approaching their location. She could only assume them to be the Hofferson’s. She’d heard a good deal of things about them, and read more, from official reports. While not boasting any notable power himself, the young Capper had managed to get a promotion for his exemplary service. She could respect his achievements, even if she held nothing but contempt for a ‘soldier’ with so little power. And to her surprise, he brought not only his father, but a woman who seemed to be of comparable age, so assumedly his mother, and an aging android who appeared to possess saiyanoid qualities. She couldn’t tell which came first for him, though. Still, the “gang,” was all here now. So she wouldn’t delay much further, and would begin the proceedings. “ First of all, congratulations are in order. Firstly, for those among you who’ve received promotions for your service to the Empire. Secondly, to all of you, for your selection by my hand, and with our Queen’s blessing, for the chance of a life time. But first, why don’t we talk more in private?” She pointed across the street at the aforementioned Kabochan establishment, quaintly called “Li’l Pumpkin Eatery,” as evidenced by the store’s front window displaying the name proudly in weathered red paint. Leading the group across, she’d approach the doors, thrusting them open. The establishment wasn’t anything too fancy. Simple wood tables and chairs made up the majority of the seating arrangements. A few corner booths could be spotted as well, with a bar located up a half step area in order to separate it from the rest of the dining area. The day was still young, so not many had come to this restaurant that was geared towards heavier meals like dinners. They’d be greeted by a timid looking Kagami girl who sheepishly looked one way and then another, at the sight of so many saiyan soldiers. “ U-uhm, welcome. Can I g-get you a table…?” Vennel nodded. “ Yes, and I’d like to rent this establishment out for the rest of our meal. Put it on my tab.” She likely could cover the costs out of pocket, not that she had spent much of the money she’d gotten from her job back on Konats yet, only covering what costs were needed for a new attack ball and then pocketing the rest should the need ever arise. The woman nodded but seemed concerned all the same before she spoke up once more. “ Uhm, and who’s t-tab should I put that down as?” “ Vennel- General Vennel.” The girl’s face quickly reddened as she nodded profusely. “ O-of course! Sit where ever y-you like.” With a cheeky grin, Vennel took her seat over at a long table that was situated in the corner, away from the direct view of the street from the large store front window. It would allow anyone who wished to look outside, but due to the difference in lighting, a street passerby wouldn’t notice them if he just glanced at the window. The few patrons who were in the building were being asked by the establishment’s staff to vacate as soon as possible, and they would be compensated for their meals. It seemed the title of General carried a good deal of weight. After everyone was situated, the young, brown haired woman would proceed to explain at least a bit more plainly what was to come of their meeting, where they could leisurely discuss the topic at hand. As she prepared to speak, the waitress poked her head out from around the corner, and wanted to take orders from everyone. Vennel merely ordered a glass of water for now herself, though the rest were clear to order whatever they wish, many were probably hungry or thirsty and would be able to eat whatever they wished, given the entire expenditure was on the general’s tab. Once the orders were taken care of, Vennel would get under way with her explanation. “ Now then, the reason I’ve called you all here is because I have chosen the six of you for an important mission. As you may have heard, Xylo has not only captured and incorporated the Arcosian Empire, but is now beginning his assault on Beppa. He’s over extended, and that’s why we, shall be taking arguably the most important mission of this stage in the war. The conquering of the Arcosian territories. If you wish to back out now, you’re more than welcome to. However, I will be assigning you lot to different assault targets, and it will be your job to keep in open communication with myself and central command here on Vegeta about what your actions are on the ground. That way we can best adapt and accomplish our goals. Any questions?” She hadn’t yet explained who would go where, when they’d leave, and those details, because she first wanted to allow for anyone who backed out now, to have far more limited information, less risk of information leaks this way. And without an office of her own yet, this was the best she could do in terms of privacy. Leaning forward in her chair, Vennel glanced around the table, in an effort to meet the eyes of all those present, eager to hear what they had to say so far.

Purika’s question had yet to be answered, so he just remained silent, the answer was pretty obvious anyways. Purika stood calmly in place, his eyes scanning around the area at the crowd. He was sure he wasn’t the only one who’d been requesting, so he kept an eye out for someone who looked pretty interesting. While he was scanning the crowd, he noticed an all too familiar person. It was a blue majin by the name of Kaza.
“I should’ve expected she'd be here.”, he thought to himself. Purika kept his opinion of her from getting in the way of what the General requested of them. The majin greeted the two, receiving an upwards nod from Purika. So they had discussed some sort of plan together? Purika wondered what it was, but he never heard the General reply to her question.
She also had her power suppressed, which is why he couldn’t sense her approaching. His eyes went back to scanning the crowd, the General still not having said anything which must’ve meant that more people were on the way. Purika could only wonder who else would be joining them? Purika sensed some people flying overhead, which caused him to direct his attention upwards and tilt his head. From what he could see, two of them weren’t in their traditional armor, except in pajamas.
They touched down beside the queen. Why was that little brat here? Purika could perfectly understand Kaza, but not that brat. He also noticed that he put ‘Officer’ beside his name, had this boy really surpassed him in rank? That just wouldn’t do, one of these days he’d have to apply for the rank.
He wasn’t going to be told what to do my a teenage weakling. Purika raised his hand a bit from behind his folded arms, showing a nice, warm, and welcoming middle finger to Capper. Purika lowered it a second or so afterward. Capper’s next words amused him, “great and mighty Hoffersons”. Purika could help to laugh under his breath, a grin emerging.
The General finally spoke out, Purika figuring that everyone she requested had arrived on the scene. Purika nodded in response to her statement, his eyes shifting over to where she was pointing. Purika read the name of where she was pointing too, which read out “Li’l Pumpkin Eatery”. As the General began her approach to the eatery, Purika followed right behind, following her into the establishment and observing the interior. While the General spoke to the Kagami Girl, he minded his own business and continued observing.
Once the General picked her table of choice, Purika followed along and pulled his chair back from the table and sat. It seemed all of the people except for the group started to clear out the building so they could talk in private. The waitress came from around the corner and asked for what they wanted. After Vennel spoke, he requested a fruit beverage. He wasn’t hungry or anything since he’d just left his father's house.
The General finally began describing her intentions, giving them a chance to back out. She also notified them about Xylo’s presence on Beppa, something that he’d heard about already. There was no way Purika was backing out, he was itching to do something. Purika hastily made his reply afterward. “I have no questions.”, he replied.
He also was being given the chance to conquer an arcosian world, which seemed like fun to him. He figured he could get a lot of recognition for that, but that wasn’t the point. His main focus was to serve the empire.

Oh, thank god, Kizuki wasn't out of the game yet. For a second, Kaza actually thought that Purika would be replacing him on their mission. She let out a relieved sigh as she nodded. ''Oh okay, that's good. Almost thought this bag of bricks was gonna take his place...'' She quickly responded before joining the group, waiting alongside them.
Not long after, the final member(s) of their little secret assault squad joined their side. The small Saiyan boy named Capper, along with his family of complete powerhouses. Her eyes widened as he walked up to them, Kaza could clearly remember him from the meeting they had on Konats! She could recall his dad being insanely powerful, and able to access the Super Saiyan transformation...No wonder why Vennel chose them for this mission.
And he seemed to get a promotion as well...? Interesting.
He was obviously too weak to have gotten it due to his strength. This lead Kaza to believe his promotion was based on different reasons. Perhaps his family? Or his own smarts? Nevertheless, they were a welcome addition.
...Purika didn't seem to think the same though, promptly flipping the kid off infront of his planet-busting parents. Again, the soldier showed just how smart he really was. The anwser was: 'not'.
''Good to see you again, and your pops, too!'' Kaza greeted them nodding toward the father, and then glancing at the other family members. ''Oh, and the rest. The name's Kaza, recently promoted to Officer, nice to meet you two as well.'' She introduced herself to who she assumed was Capper's mother, as well as the older, mechanical fellow. From the looks of things, his...robotics, weren't quite finished yet, but they still intrigued Kaza...
Probably some of Breech shining through. Kaza felt like getting a closer look at his robo-parts, but that was for a different time, maybe.
Vennel spoke up to the bunch, and Kaza more or less nodded in agreement. Sure, the promotion felt nice, and so were the perks that came along with it, but she didn't think of it as that big a deal. The fact that Vennel was promoted to General did amuse her quite a bit, though. It wasn't exactly comparable to being the Queen, although, it was better than nothing.
With folded arms, Kaza followed her comrades into the Kabochan eatery that was prompty vacated by nearly everyone after Vennel said a few words. Seeing everyone leaving like that, silently obeying her orders without a single shred of doubt...Damn, it felt somewhat good to her- and she wasn't even the one that did it!
As she passed the Kagami girl, Kaza gave her a thick, cold glare. Disgusting slave races...The fact that they were even allowed to have jobs now...Disgusting. Just the idea of having them walk around in the Capitol sickened Kaza. The Kagami couldn't help but eep and scuttle back as the Majin Officer glared at her.
Grabbing a chair and setting it up near the table the rest sat at, Kaza sat back with folded arms as she listened to Vennel's explanation. Most of the plan was already more than known to Kaza, as she had explained it back when they met up with Kizuki. She had to admit, though, the idea of bringing along other people as 'diversions', more or less, was quite the genius idea. Xylo certainly didn't have enough forces to defend three planets at once, and even if he did, it'd spread his troops way too thin, allowing for a clean sweep of his stronger allies.
Kaza smiled and nodded with an arrogant expression during the rest of her explanation, acting as if she knew fully well what her intentions were and whatnot. When asked if there were any questions, Kaza remained silent for a while, before deciding that she'd add a bit to the explanation, in case it wasn't obvious why they were doing such things.
''All of us are powerful enough to take the planets on our own. Only the strongest of Xylo's allies could hope to stop us, really. By spreading out and attacking all three of the remaining Arcosian planets, while Xylo's troops are caught in the crossfire on Beppa as well, we'd spread out his forces even more.''
The Majin grinned, cocking her head to the side arrogantly.
''Xylo would more or less have to choose which of his planets to defend! This probably means one of us will have a tough fight on their hands, BUT!'' She paused, leaning in closer to the group with a low snicker. ''That means the rest of us can easily take his territory and claim it for the Empire!''
With an oddly ominous air to her, she clasped her hands together, and balanced her chin on it as she leaned over the table. ''Even if you're having trouble, keep your scouters open with both 'Jeets and the rest of us, call for backup when needed- yadda yadda! This plan's practically bulletproof, Xylo won't know what hit him!''
Now that she added her piece, Kaza let out a weirdly satisfied sigh as she leaned backwards once more, resting her back on the chair she sat on with a smug grin. For now, she'd simply wait and see if anyone else had anything to add. If not, Kaza could prepare herself to leave again and get some last minute training in. Her expression didn't show it, but the idea of fighting Xylo and his Apocalypse Egg did rile up some weird anxiety inside of her.

Capper smiled back to Kaza in response to her greeting, eyes momentarily widening when she spoke of recently being promoted to officer as well. "Good to see ya again, my fellow Officer!" Capper beamed, though his smile quickly became condescending when his eyes drifted to Purika. "...It's good to see our ranking only holds the most capable of soldiers." He spoke, shaking his head before gesturing to the rest of his family, introducing the Hofferson Squadron one by one. "I'm Capper, that's my dad Collard, my mom Chire, and grandpa Courgi. We're the best the Hoffersons have to offer!"
Capper stood proudly with his hands on his hips, eyes closed while he silently boasted his ranking. Opening one of his eyes would cause the boy's expression to contort into disgust when Purika flipped him and his family off. The nerve! Was this man stupid, challenging a team of three planet-busters?! Capper couldn't recall if Purika was a super saiyan or not, but he REALLY doubted an idiot like him could ascend to the legendary state. The other Hoffersons were just as peeved as Capper, it seemed. Chire and Collard promptly let their auras flare gold, hair turning a the brilliant yellow of a Super Saiyan. Despite their glow fading away, the Mastered Super Saiyans kept up the state with a casual demeanor- no flashy lights for now. Collard crackled his knuckles, Chire rolled her shoulders, while Courgi gave a look would pierce right through the ever so selfish Purika. Did he really want to cross the great and mighty Hofferson family now...?
Nonetheless, Vennel was quick to change the topic, earning a collective sigh of relief from the family, though Chire and Collard held their powered up states, just in case. The temporary General was quick to congratulate Kaza and Capper's promotions, and then the general group for being selected for this mysterious mission. But it was best to talk in private in the nearby restaurant, it seemed... The group nodded, following their new leader into the establishment.
Everyone inside was promptly evacuated with a few words from the general, causing Capper to let out a slightly impressed whistle. Man, whatever their mission was, it must be important! He was really curious now. After a brief interaction with a Kagami waitress, whom would receive a curious head-tilt from Capper and a death glare from Kaza, the new squad would find themselves seated at a table. Chire yawned, stretching out and putting her hands behind her golden hair.
Vennel opened her mouth to speak, though she was interrupted by a waiter taking everyone's orders. Chire sent a sweating Collard a cheeky grin- thankfully bags of Crunchies weren't on the menu, though. One by one, each of the hungering family members requested their orders, save for Courgi, whom lacked a stomach to begin with now thanks to his robotification.
"I'll have a small... uh, Chocolate Tu... Tuffle--- is that how you pronounce it?- Oh, uh, Truffle with cream cheese, please!"
"TEN WELL-DONE MEAT TUBES, PRONTO! AND WITH A SIDE OF KABOCHAN MASHROOMS TOO!"
"...Just a water."
With everyone's food on the way, Vennel would begin the mission briefing. Xylo had annexed the Arcosian Empire, no big surprise there, and the war was at it's peak. So, the Hoffersons, Purika, Kaza, and Vennel would be taking the important task of... taking the Arcosian territories? "Ohoho, ALL my yes!" Chire remarked, raising a fist. "It's been ages since I conquered a planet. Nothing but dumb fetch quests nowadays... Collard, Courgi, you'll come too, right?!" Chire spoke, eyes sparkling like stars. Collard put a hand to his chin, closing his eyes. "...Eh, orders are orders. I am retired, but just this once is fine." Collard spoke with a shrug. "When the kid gets done with my upgrades, I too will lend you my strength." Courgi responded, earning a triumphant "WOOOOOO!" from Chire.
The group would all be tasked with different planets, who gets what was a mystery for now. Capper bit his lip, some doubt filling his mind. Xylo most certainly would NOT be happy about this. And he wouldn't spare Capper another time. Yet, Kaza and Purika seemed confident... Was it better to trust their judgement, or his own cautiousness?
"Uh... I have a question." Capper spoke, raising a hand into the air briefly before clasping his palms together, twiddling his thumbs. "Who's getting what planet? There's Yardrat, Arcose, the Brenchias...." Capper spoke, listing off what main systems he knew with his fingers. Shaking his head, the boy finally decided to voice his doubts as well. "I agree this is an... optimal course of action compared to other possible movements, but whichever of us has to fight Xylo... Well..." Capper trailed off, glancing to the side. Having seen the demonic Namekian's power first hand, Capper had every right to be doubtful. "There's no doubt Xylo is stronger than before. And there's Ouroboros out there somewhere as well..." He paused, closing his eyes. "Whoever has to fight him will be in quite a pickle. But, someone's gotta take the bullet, I suppose."
"I kinda hope we get to fight him." Chire remarked first, earning a shocked and panicked glare from her son. "M-mom!" Capper stammered while his mother explained herself. "He killed me before, and I want to teach him what for. With me, your pops, and grandpa Courgi, I'm sure we can give Xylo one hell of a fight, kiddo!" She beamed, though her vigor dissipated when she caught eye of Capper's frightful concern. "....It won't be like before. I can promise you that."
"Well, I'm all game." Collard remarked, earning a grunt of affirmation from his android father. "When will we be departing for our planets, also? Are we going right away, or is there some time to prepare?" The father questioned, earning a nod from Capper. As uncertain as he was, this could be a chance to prove himself. Even though he was weak, he was a force to be reckoned with. The unified power of the Hoffersons was nothing to be tampered with.

As refreshments were quickly brought to the table, everyone’s order was met and sussed out by the kagami. On top of everyone’s requests, complimentary waters were passed around to each person present. Purika had quickly earned the ire of those around him, in typical low class style. She could hardly fault him in this situation, or be bothered to correct or punish him. The low powered Capper would have to assert his authority over those below him. And saiyans responded best to shows of force, so it would be in his hands how he overcame those sorts of things. So his little stunt before they came in was to be expected. But Vennel was rather pleased to hear that Kaza was so enthusiastically gung-ho for their attack. It helped to keep Vennel’s hope up about the future of the Empire. Capper’s mother, Chire, also seemed particularly amped for the temporary general’s declaration of their attack. Warmed her heart to see that her people could still get excited for that sort of thing. And to make things more impressive, it seemed that she too was capable of ascension, and boasted a hearty powerlevel herself. But then came the real question, the green, slug-man shaped question in everyone’s mind. Xylo. Vennel looked across the table at Capper, as his parents seemed to talk amongst themselves about the topic. The truth was, with any luck, they wouldn’t have to put themselves in danger. They’d get to capture a planet, probably meeting minimal resistance, and return victorious. “ Concerning Xylo, with any luck he should be keeping the safety of Arcose as his number one priority. Kaza and I will be attacking there, as the vanguard, to draw his attention there. Shortly after we touch down, is when I want you all to commence your legs of the operation. I know he’s likely very powerful, far more so than our most recent intelligence can tell us.” The rest, didn’t need to be said. Anyone who could make estimations based on context clues, would be able to tell Vennel was taking the point position against Xylo and his egg. It was imperative with this group that everyone stuck to the plan or else it would fall through, and she could only rely on herself to at the very least, hold the slug-man and the brunt of his forces off for their attacks to be a success. And alone, she probably wouldn’t be able to pull it off, but with Kaza, and hopefully with her preparations underway, she’d have the back up she’d need to see the day through. The matter of which planet was the destination for which person though, remained to be answered. And of course, naturally, time was of the essence, so Vennel delayed no further. “ As for your destinations, I am sending the Hofferson family to the Brenchias, Given your numbers, you should have an easier time of capturing the twin worlds. And Purika, you will capture Yardrat. Remember, your enemies should be few in number. If some how you find yourself out matched or out numbered, do whatever it takes to survive. Your lives are valuable, if you should fail on your own to capture your objective, keep in open communication with us, and we will find a way to regroup and make sure Yardrat and the Brenchias, become the latest editions to our Empire.” The way things were shaping up, she felt hopeful for their attacks. Recent reports showed that the brunt of the Arcosian forces were either on Arcose itself, or attacking Beppa with Xylo’s main forces. That meant the other two planets would be left poorly defended, and more ripe for the taking. In all honesty, they were the real goal. Every since Kizuki’s disappearance, Vennel felt less and less confident about her own objective. She hadn’t told Kaza yet though, would suck the morale out of her as she was now. Best now she exude confidence and keep the charade going just a bit longer. Vennel pushed against the table, her chair scooting away as she rose up to her feet. Looking at those gathered here, she rose her glass of water up to them. “ A toast! May you all find glory on the battlefield. Do our Empire proud.” While not alcohol, she’d need to be sober, at least for now. Drinking her glass, she’d nod to the group she’d gathered there. One last parting word for them before she herself left to finish preparations and head out. “ Do what you need to in order to prepare. We leave in four days. Enjoy your meals. They’re on me.” It was weird to think, that after all this time, they were finally going to be doing this. A toothy grin on her face, she walked out of the establishment, but not before paying the Kagami girl with a credit chip with enough to cover their expenses and then some, for the clearing out of the restaurant. And so it began. The final days of preparation were underway.

Capper’s over-protective parent entered their super saiyan transformations at the sight of Purika’s middle fingers. “A saiyan needs his parent’s to protect him… how cute.”, Purika said. He wasn’t scared of Capper’s parents, and if he were Capper, he’d be super embarrassed at what his parents just did. What saiyan parent would stand for their child being such a… weakling. If he was Purika’s child, he’d whip him into shape.
He remained silent after he replied, folding his arms as he sat. He shifted his eyes over towards Kaza as she added in her comment, nodding in response to what she said, agreeing with her. “Just in case we won’t be able to use our scouters, I learned how to use Telepathy.”, he said, informing the group. Then Capper had his question and explained that he was cautious. His mom spoke after him, wanting to fight Xylo, who’d killed her before. “So, she fought Xylo…?”, Purika thought as his eyes looked over to Chire. Purika was skeptical whether she did it or not, but he put it aside. Then the father said he was all for it, and asked another question. Everyone, except for him, was talking quite a bit. Purika just wasn’t one that talked a lot. Vennel spoke once more, being the most important person here, Purika swung his head around to her and listened closely. Purika listened to what she had to say, fully. “Sounds like a plan.”, Purika said as a grin formed on his lips. Purika looked over to her as she rose from her chair. That meant she was finished, but what about when they were leaving? She spoke again, but it wasn’t about the date, it was a toast. Purika rose his glass of fruit beverage in the air as she rose her water, listening as she made the toast. “For the Empire!”, Purika said, grinning. After he spoke, he gulped down the rest of his fruit beverage and sat the glass down. Finally, Vennel gave them the date they would be leaving. “Four days… I can get some good training done in that time. I'll be ready.”, he said. Vennel left, so he felt it was his time to leave also, he had some training to get done. Purika scooted his chair from the table and stood, walking past the Kagami girl and taking his leave. He stood right outside as his crimson aura flared around him. He darted up into the air, soaring through the air towards Shemha’s dojo.
