The sun bore down on the floating palace in the sky known as the lookout. Etoru was lying forward against the balcony, staring into the blank cloudless sky with a bored, stubborn pout. The child wasn't really able to do much with both, half his arm and leg missing, which really closed a lot of options on having fun. The kid didn't really have many friends, so he wasn't really expecting any visitors. For the past few weeks, he really just either stayed home at the lookout, or at the Serpent School's Dojo, occasionally watching some training go down. Besides that, he was surprisingly fine about the whole thing. Of course he's a little down for losing his limbs, and everything else that went down on Namek, but he's been through a lot. Etoru was holding up well...excluding his boredom of course.
"Agghhh....sooo, boooored...." He groaned, hanging his head. The young Saiyan Hybrid pouted as he pondered on what to do, which is what he usually did. "This blows....you know what...forget it, I'm going out..." The child turned around, hobbled back inside with the help of a staff, and grabbed a beige colored cloak that was hanging on the wall. It drooped over his form from the neck down, hiding everything including his limbs of course. Despite being fine about it, he really did seem kind of self conscious when people commented on it. Best to keep it out of sight.
The boy made his way downstairs and onto the lookout. He walked passed the trees planted in the middle of the tiles, and towards the edge of the floating sky palace which was facing eastwards. The boy stared down at the sheets of clouds beneath him nervously. Ever since losing his limbs, he wasn't able to properly fly. The missing weight threw him off balance, and so he just stuck too his staff for transportation. Despite knowing this however, the child leaned forward, letting gravity take control as he fell off the look out. His soft youthful cheeks were pulled back from the wind crashing into it. "Egggggghhhhaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!"
Etoru let his ki be expelled from his body pushing downwards in his efforts to fly. It slowed him down for the most part, but then he began wobbling in the air. "W-Whoaaa! E-Eas--YYY!!!!" His body was thrown forward as he soared towards the ground. He was about to crash into a small farmhouse before he made an awkward yet convenient loop in the air. The child at this point, had no idea where he was going. More importantly, he didn't know how on Earth he was going to come to a stop. He flew towards a large jungle region area known as Bamboo Forest. The boy began soaring towards a bunch of trees at full speed. "EEEEEEP!" He crashed through a bunch of leaves and branches, getting smacked and hit left and right! Eventually, he hit the earth coming to a stop. His cheek lied in the soft grass as he groaned in pain and exhaustion. "Owwwwww....." He frowned, pushing himself up slowly with his one hand that stretched out of his cloak. He sat on his rear and looked around for his staff. Once he found it, he gripped it and planted it into the ground before pushing himself up.
Etoru looked around blankly, before his eyes widened slowly. It sparkled a bit in both, joy and awe. "Whoa..." The area was filled with bright, vibrant and unique flowers spread out in the area. A clean, clear stream ran down a small hill, feeding a glistening pond. The pond had lily-pads floating on it while different forms of plant life circled it. Dragon flies and frogs surrounded it as well as other insects and animals. A dear trotted down the path to drink from the stream. Etoru giggled a bit while he observed this peaceful area. He seemed a little startled however when a blue jay landed onto his shoulder. He stared at it blankly, cocking his head a bit. The bird did the same before letting out a little tweet and flying away. Etoru smiled, holding his staff with the one arm that poked out his cloak. He really wanted to explore this area a little more. The boy laughed to himself however, when he thought of the odds of encountering someone here. It seemed that no matter where he went, no matter how quiet the area, someone always managed to pop bye.

The forest was beautiful that day. The summer flowers were in full bloom, the trees were swaying with the gentle wind, and the nearby stream was flowing softly through the meadow. All was calm for Soilderp, for once. He could actually rest his weary muscles and take in the beauty of his old forest abode. Soilderp lay under the bamboo trees, letting his legs rest after the long trek to the forest. Everything was quiet, in fact, it was almost like the calm before the storm. Soilderp stood up and stretched his relaxed muscles. Life was good, and nothing was going to change that. As he began to stand, something began to crash through the upper canopy. Suddenly, a young boy hit the ground, his staff flying away from him. He quickly grabbed it and stood himself up. This was strange. Some random kid just fell from the sky. Clearly he had to be at least a little stronger than most people, as he survived the fall from all the way out of thee sky. Soilderp walked over to the child. "A-are you okay? You fell all the way from up there." He took a second to get a better look at the boy. He had black hair, and what seemed to be a tail. Was he a Saiyan? He quickly remembered his manners. "By the way, the name's Soilderp! Nice to meet ya! And you are?....

<< Previous ThreadFOREST ADVENTURE
Guardia's dream ended abruptly, as he was shaken back into reality. His single eye opened, it's metallic lid faintly batting against his eye when he blinked. The sword laid in his dark sheath, debating whether or not he should get up. If he had muscles, they would feel weak, just like his energy. The blade let out an exasperated sigh, groaning as he rolled out of his scabbard. What time was it? How long had he been asleep? Did he have clothes on-- oh right. He was stuck in a sword. All of these questions and more shot through the blade's mind as he let out a loud yawn, ready to start the day.
Guardia peeked out of his beige and gold scabbard, eye blinking softly as he eyes his surroundings. He and Chai had found a nice cave to crash in behind a cascade. Morning light trickled onto the thick foliage littered about the cave. The plants were copious enough to make the ground feel squishy and soft, making the cavern an optimal resting place in terms of comfort. Chai still seemed to be fast asleep. The goat zoan softly snored as a bubble expanded and contracted on his nose, arms folded behind his head... He seemed comfortable- Guardia assumed it was best not to wake his dear partner yet.
Floating into the air, the sword would inhale deeply before he rushed out from behind the small waterfall hiding the cave's entrance. Water flew into his eye and crashed against his form. He was almost knocked off balance, but the blade managed to get out of the wall of water in time, shaking himself off with a grunt. 'Alright! I'm awake! What do you have for us today, day...?' Guardia spoke telepathically, to no one in particular.
The clearing in front of Guardia was a glorious expanse of grass and meadow flowers, grass rustling gently in the breeze. There was a narrow brook flowing through it choked with weeds, connected to the waterfall cave that housed Chai and himself. Tall water-mint with pale lilac flowers, like dozens of tiny bells were growing at the edge of the brook. A doe and buck sipped the refreshing river water together at the other end of the meadow. After noting the presence of the sentient blade, the two deer picked up their heads and dashed off into the woods with agility and grace that Guardia could only dream of attaining with his released form. Birds were singing, flowers were blooming... It was a beautiful day, really.
Plopping himself down near the edge of the river, Guardia stared at his own reflection for a moment. Even now, he wasn't completely used to seeing a limbless sword staring right back at him... Sighing, Guardia's form qould briefly jolt when the trees rustled, and something-- no, someone came crashing into the meadow from above! Turning around as some birds chirped and flew out of the shaking trees, the sword saw a cloaked blur land against the ground with a thud... Well, that wasn't normal. Then again, people had their ways of crashing in to bump into himself and Chai.
Guardia saw another strange person dash through the foliage and to the fallen child. The second stranger sported horns and a tail... A fellow demon, perhaps? His mostly human body gave Guardia the hint that he could be one of those strange hybrids, though. Guardia was confused as to why a mighty demon would want to have an affair with a puny human, but what was done was done.
Dislodging his blade from the ground after a moment's struggle, Guardia would float into the air and into the trees, causing the branches above to falter and rustle as he hopped from branch to branch, trying to stay in the shadows for now. Landing on a thick branch above Etoru and Soldierp, Guardia would lean down and take a good look at the scene unfolding below him.
Ah! That boy-- he was the same one that EGG had a fuss over back at Bing's dojo. Guardia grimaced at the reminder of his foe's good self, but shook it aside for now. What was someone without an arm and a leg doing out here? Guardia noted the cloak covering his missing limbs, but kept silent in the foliage above for now. The other demon approached Etoru, asking if he was okay. The kindness confused Guardia for a moment- why would a puny human take time out of their short life to help someone they didn't even know? Perhaps it was that old "Chai Syndrome", as Guardia had called it. No matter what, the goat went out of his way to help others. Was it duty? Was it empathy? Was it pity? Guardia couldn't be sure.
Then the boy introduced himself as... Soldierp? Guardia quickly disconnected his telepathy from everyone nearby so nobody would hear him, and roared with a fit of laughter! What kind of parents named their child that?! Boy-- did he feel sorry for this "Soldierp...." Guardia calmed down, now putting a crossguard to where his chin would be, if he still had one. How did one even pronounce that name to begin with? He couldn't remember how the hybrid below said it...
Shaking his form like a head, the blade finally found it about time to introduce himself. There was no point in hiding anymore- he knew Etoru was nice enough, and the boy with the strange name did go out of his way to try and help the fallen child. Doing a quick flip in the air, Guardia would land in front of the two, bending down as some dirt flickered off the ground when he landed. Curling back up into a straight position while floating off the ground, the blade would eye the two with a curious expression before speaking. 'Oi. What's going on in this neck of the woods?'
Guardia spoke, floating above the two and orbiting around them once. 'Last time I checked the weather forecast, it didn't say it would be raining saiyans.' Guardia remarked with a roll of his eye, now floating upside down near Soldierp with a closed eye. Quickly flying backwards and opening his eye to put some distance between these two, just in case, Guardia would fold his crossguards and tap the tip of his blade against the ground, waiting for a response. Despite being inanimate, the sword sure could express himself.

Etoru looked around, observing his surroundings and absorbing the welcoming feeling of his place. It truly was beautiful. However, he was quickly distracted. He heard footsteps in the distance getting louder and louder as it crushed the stray leaves, twigs, and grass in its path. An odd looking man came through the trees and towards Etoru asking if he was okay, which earned a puzzle look from the young hybrid. "Uh...yeah dude, I'm fi--" The child was immediately cut off as he went straight into introducing himself. Etoru looked around awkwardly while clearing his throat. "Uh huh..." He nodded slowly, pretending to be interested. "That's a um, nice name..."
The boy frowned. "This guys weird...." He thought. Etoru was going to end this encounter short and go his own way before a rather odd sword floated down from the tree! And it talked! Wait a minute...that was--! Etoru immediately recognized the blade from Bing's serpent training. His comment made Etoru's cheeks grow a tinge of red. "Raining Saiyains huh....I-I meant to land that..." He growled. "If you got a problem say it to my face!" His immature tantrum caused the wild life around the trio to scatter, though he didn't really care. Etoru was too bratty to take an insult. ---
Sorry for the wait guys~

He could tell that he'd already lost the boy. As the sword floated down his attention fully shifted to him, completely leaving Soilderp behind. Maybe Soilderp had been TOO quick with his introductions and made him weird out. Soilderp, of course, was really good at this. Living in a forest alone for so long didn't make it easy for him to communicate with others about, well, anything. He was always too quick or too abrupt or he interrupted them and din't mind the manners that he didn't even know.
But they didn't know that. They thought he was similar to them (except maybe the sword) and just wasn't interesting, possibly even annoying. Know it was time to move on.
Oh yeah the sword; the sword could speak. It clearly knew he Etoru was and wanted to see him for some reason. He mentioned a word Soilderp did not know. Saiyan? What was that? The way he spoke it sounded like a race of people, but he had never heard of any Saiyans.
Suddenly, the boy flew into a fit of anger. Soilderp backed up as he didn't want to annoy him farther. He noticed that the wildlife that had gathered around him earlier had began to scatter. Soilderp slowly began to speak.
"Look, man, don't get riled up about him. He just a sword, he can't exactly do much. There's no need to be angry."
Soilderp slowly edged closer and closer to the child.

Guardia's eyelid curled up with a trace of amusement when the hybrid child began to fume, speaking in a hostile hiss while he brought up the fact that he meant to stick his landing. 'Well, ya failed at that, kid.' Guardia thought to himself, rolling his eye. But if he had a problem, the child demanded that the sword said it to Etoru's face. the wildlife fled the scene, as if anticipating the impending conflict between Etoru and Guardia. 'Don't blame me.' Guardia proclaimed with a shrug of his crossguards, speaking in a calm coo with a side of snark and disrespect. 'After all, sarcasm is the body's natural defense against stupidity.' The sentient blade proclaimed, waggling his metallic brow knowingly. Getting under a person's skin was just another way of getting to know a person in Guardia's eyes. And boy, it was a fun way.
Then, the oddly named Soilderp opened his mouth. Guardia's eye widened in response to the young one's comment, before narrowing into a slit. 'Can't do anything...?!' The sword began, his voice repressing unclear emotions- none positive. The sword hopped forwards, floating back into the air while speaking in a growl to the demon hybrid in front of him. Clearly, this blade wasn't the most level headed. 'Listen here, you bloody ninny.' Guardia began. 'I am Guardia- the strongest demon of my clan, and it's unquestioned leader!' He fumed, floating up to the boy and whipping his blade forward so that it's tip was just inches from the horned boy's throat. Narrowing his eye, the sword would chime with his telepathy, still quite peeved. 'Trust me when I say I can wreck your shit any day, even if my soul is trapped and restrained in this blade. I'll cut you!'
'A demon losing to an inanimate object...' The sword concluded, glancing off to the side as his blade of energy flickered, inching a little closer to Soilderp's throat. 'I'm sure you don't want to feel that shame, no?' The demonic sword concluded, flying back into a resting position on the ground. His narrowed eye still locked onto the other demon, he'd speak one final time in a growl, briefly eyeing Etoru for a moment to see his reaction to all this. 'So don't try me.'

"S-Sarcasm--w-why you little...." Etoru's eyes narrowed at the blade. This guy...this guy really got under his skin! With Capper, it was different! Capper just had sass....this guy was a complete jerk! Etoru made an attempt to lunge at the sword, only to trip and face-plant into the dirt due to his missing limbs. "Egh....." He furrowed his brows as he glared up at the floating sword. What made this whole ordeal even worse however, was the fact that he wasn't even focused on Etoru anymore! He was focused on that weird demon guy!
The little hotheaded hybrid grit his teeth. However...despite all his rage and frustration towards the blade---he felt some sort of connection between the two. Both were...well, handicapped at the moment. Both seemed to be underestimated, Etoru being a boy, and Guardia being...well a sword. And, although the relation wasn't towards him exactly, Etoru did have a spirit trapped in his own body. But still, he insulted Etoru, and he was going to pay dearly for it! "All I wanted was an adventure...but fine! Take thisssss!!!!" Etoru launched himself off the ground in a burst of speed, a white aura engulfing his tiny form. Etoru's foot was stretched out ready to kick the demon into a tree! However, due to two missing limbs, his course was set blindly...and he was launching straight towards Soilderp! ---- [N1] Serpent Style Used: 112,940 damage headed towards Soilderp!

'Ohohoho! Someone's angry. Tell me, kid. Who ties your shoelaces for you?' The blade remarked, his metallic eyelid curling up in response to Etoru's irritation. The child tried to tackle Guardia, only for the blade to leisurely lean out of the way, resulting in the child coming short and face-planting into the ground. Guardia let loose a hearty chuckle, floating upwards and around to land behind Etoru- he could do this all day! It was then Soilderp spoke to Guardia, resulting in the brief, already covered and written scuffle between the two demons.
After the blade was done threatening the boy, the sword would quickly whip around when he heard the child yell out, lunging forwards to attack! Guardia's eye widened, but the boy would soar right past Guardia and hit Soilderp, presumably knocking the hybrid far into the sky and out of sight... '...Welp.' The blade remarked, adjusting his posture to be stiff and straight. 'You either have really poor aim, or hated that guy just as much as I did.' Guardia commented, glancing off to the side. 'If the latter, then good job! I like that. Maybe you aren't as dullard as I thought, uh... What's your name, again? I'm Guardia.' Guardia closed his eye, lowering his crossguards and positioning them as if he had his non-existant hands on his hips.
Meanwhile, the loud bang of Soilderp blasting off into the skies would cause a certain zoan's ears to twitch. Chai's single eye slowly opened, blinking wearily a few times. Yawning, the goat took a moment to sit up and let his aching form droop. The sound of the rushing waterfall and the crisp forest air was indeed refreshing, though... But where was Guardia? He wasn't in his sheath, nor his little pool in the back of the cave, or even his leafy hammock. Was Chai spoiling Guardia..? Maybe.
Moseying around the waterfall, Chai would focus his senses to lock onto his partner, and another eerily familiar energy. Who was that, again? It rang several bells, but Chai couldn't put a finger on it. Taking into the skies, Chai would quickly soar over, glancing down to see Guardia interacting with Bing's adopted kid, Etoru. And judging by the look on the child's face, he was not happy. 'Oh, goody...' The otherworldly zoan thought, running his hand down his face. Diving down, Chai would land behind Etoru and Guardia, quickly clearing his throat to gain the attention of the two. 'Oh! Hello, partner!' Guardia chimed cheerily, floating besides Chai. Still, the goat did not seem very amused. "Guardia... Were you being rude again?"
'What?! No! I'm just stating facts, you bloke.' Chai sighed, closing his eyes and rubbing the bridge of his nose. Once Guardia's words were translated from his own strange language, Chai could confirm the sword was indeed being rude. "Kais above, why me..." The goat spoke quietly to himself, before quickly turning to Etoru with a concerned frown.

"I TIE MY OWN SHOE LACES YOU STUPID LITTLE--EEP! OH MY GOSH!" And with that, Soilderp was sent flying through the sky's, twinkling away. Etoru lost balance and fell to the ground onto his bum. "Oof! E-Egh..." He stared up at Guardia, a frustrated expression building up on his face. The sword made a snarky comment about his aim, cause Etoru to grit his teeth. He began grinding it, back and forth, glaring at the demon. "...Alright... Guardia ...if I had my arm and leg right now...oohoho....."
Etoru's breathing intensified. He hasn't been pushed this much in a while! His face was getting all red, and his cheeks puffing up. Then he heard someone clear his throat...and realized it was the owner of the blade before him! Etoru picked up his staff, and pulled himself up. "Facts....facts?!?" The boy dashed towards the sword again with the staff above his head, ready to swing it down on him unless he was stopped. Given his current situation, he wasn't as fast, and his aim wasn't as great. "I'LL SHOW YOU FACTS YOU JEEEERK!"

Guardia's eyelid curled up in response to Etoru's comment about his missing limbs. 'Ohoho! The same could be said for a demon as mighty as myself.' The sword snapped, narrowing his single eye with a trace of amusement. Sure, Guardia was currently stuck in a sword with all his limbs tied behind his back, but hey! At least he could get his arms and legs BACK. It wasn't like a wee saiyan child could just regrow their limbs like a Namekian, or just buy new ones from some shop, right? It didn't work that way, Guardia thought.
Soon enough, Chai arrived, and Guardia's "Snark Meter" continued to rise, along with Etoru's "Urge to Kill Meter." The boy attempted to swing his staff at the sword, causing Chai's eyes to widen. Etoru was weak, but still powerful and fast compared to the two rookie warriors. Before Guardia could move out of the way, Chai positioned himself between Guardia and Etoru with his back turned to the boy. His staff would land against Chai's back with a thud, causing the goat to let out a quick grunt and fall to his knees. 'C-Chai!' Guardia called in concern, his eye widening. Pupil become white with a black sclera, the sword's power level would momentarily triple. 'Oh, kid. You just made a big mistake hurting my partne--'
The sword spoke with an eerie threat, but before he could finish, Chai would reach a hand out and shove the blade back into his sheath! Guardia let out a quick yelp, letting out some muffled threats and cries when the goat locked him into his scabbard with a sigh. His back stung quite a bit from the blow, but it was nothing to get upset over. While Guardia squirmed like a worm in his sheath, Chai would let out a sigh and stand tall, stretching his legs and backs briefly with his hands on his hips, letting off a quick sigh.
"Welp." Chai spoke with a strained bluntness, turning his form around to face Etoru. The one-eyed goat knelt down to the young hybrid's level with a forced smile in an attempt to ease the situation. "I, uh... Apologize for Guardia's actions. Between you and me, he's kind of a big 'ol butt sometimes." The goat zoan expressed, glancing off to the side with a smile and an eyebrow waggle. "But he's kind enough if you get to know him, I promise." The goat concluded, remembering his first encounter with the sword. Sure, there was some automatic respect from the blade to the Crimson Strikers' leader, but he was disobedient and disloyal for a long time.
Still trying to ignore the blade's muffled threats and comments from his sheath, the otherworldy fighter would plop himself down on a nearby rock, putting his hands on his back and giving it a good stretch. "But you pack a punch for someone so young, I'll tell you that." Chai offered a quick compliment to ease the tension-ridden air. Narrowing his eyes briefly, Chai put a hand on his chin. He had seen this kid somewhere before-- Chai had met him once back when he sparred against Bing at the Serpent Dojo, yes... But was there more to this kid's familiarity? "...You seem familiar, though." Chai omitted, tilting his head to the side. Guardia seemed to have mostly quailed and given up struggling now. "...What's your name, again?"

Etoru growled as he swung his staff over his head. Though directed at Guardia, he once gain, missed his target! The wooden staff collided into the goat zoanthrope's back, causing the man to grunt, fighting back the pain running through his nerves. Etoru blinked, surprised at where the staff hit, and stumbled back slightly. He pushed the staff into the ground to balance himself, staring at the goat man. Etoru glared at Guardia as his power began to rise. "What! What! You think I'm scared of you! You're just a stupid old sword!!!" Chai gripped the hilt, and shoved the demon sword into the sheathe.
Etoru breathed heavily, anger still fuming within him. Chai stood up, and it was obvious by the way he got up that pain was pulsing through his body. He turned around facing Etoru, and the proceeded to squat to become eye level with the child. Etoru's eyes were teary. Etoru never cried from pure anger before. Gosh that blade really got on his nerves. Etoru sniffled, glaring at Chai. "K-Kind of?! No! He's a huge butt! A huge one!" If he wasn't that angry, he'd probably find amusement in that quote. Etoru sniffed, glaring at the sheathe and back at the goat. "If I got to know him, I'd hate him even more..." Etoru raised his forearm, wiping his eyes before giving a stubborn pout.
Etoru frowned, turning his cheek at his next comment. "Hmph. Age is just a number." He huffed. Though, despite his power, if you excluded his current situation with his missing limbs, he'd still be at a disadvantage when it comes to combat experience. He was still too young, but with recent battles, SERIOUS, battles, he's gained a bit of knowledge from that for sure. "Yeah, I recognize you too...you're one of those jerks that want to steal my spot as the one who represents the Serpent School." He grumbled. "The name's Etoru. Etoru Aeum. The first, and the best student, and the son, and friend, and anything else good you can imagine, of Bing-Gan."

The otherworldly zoan's eyes softened with a sigh- Guardia sure got under this kid's skin. Chai didn't blame Etoru, though. When the sword and goat were just first getting to know each other, the sassy sword infuriated Chai with his rudeness. Luckily, with time, his impolite nature devolved into snark as he gained respect for his wielder. But it would take a lot to ease tensions between the sword demon and saiyan hybrid now, it seemed. Chai hadn't seen someone this upset by Guardia in a long time.
Etoru was also familiar with Chai, recognizing the goat man from the Serpent School Dojo. Chai couldn't help but to chuckle at his comment of "stealing his spot of who represents the serpent school." "Ah, don't worry about me." The goat spoke with a dismissive wave. "You're leagues above me in terms of power. I doubt anyone would be able to take that spot from you for a looooooooong time." The benign goat zoanthrope reassured, recalling the energy he felt when Etoru knocked away that strange demon hybrid... Chai had a long way to go to attain that kind of power. He'd need every little bit he could get in order to return to his home and save his world- but first things first. Get strong. And quick. Time was ticking here, and back in his homeworld- who knew how the rest of the Crimson Strikers were faring...
Shaking his head, Chai would be snapped back to reality with Etoru's introduction. He felt like he had heard that name before... But where? Guardia violently shook in his sheath, a louder, yet muffled telepathic cry echoing. 'HHWWWWUT?!' The sword's muffled cry echoed as he tried to escape his confines once more. He knew that name! It was the name of that tattletale who told Bing about their universe-hopper in the first place! If it weren't for this SNITCH, they would have all made it to this world without any problems, unbeknownst to Chai. "Guardia, hush." Chai commanded in a more stern tone, using his own ki to condense a barrier around the scabbard to stop the sword's squirming. "You're grounded. Think about what you said, now." He proclaimed, sending a glare back to the sheathed sword.
But hearing that this kid was apparently the SON of his once sworn foe was certainly shocking. "Really, now?" The goat questioned, raising a brow while Guardia continued to squirm. "That's a surprise." Chai remarked, standing back up with another stretch. His back still ached a little from that blow. "So, what brings you out to these woods? Me and Guardia are just wanderers." Chai questioned with a quick huff.
