"Dad!! Look at this!!" Capper would chime throughout his father's rather tranquil bar. Rain poured down outside, coupled by an occasional rumble of thunder from the clouds. The few customers that had arrived at the saiyan's bar huddled in the corners, watching the storm raging outside- having arrived for shelter instead of the goods in the family-friendly cafe. Wind howled and trees trembled as if they were cold and afraid while a soaked Capper trotted into the bar. Collard raised his head, raising a brow when spotting his doused son. He had been gone for a good hour... What was the boy up to? He was working on Etoru's limbs twenty-four seven as of late, but it seemed now that something else had grabbed his attention...
Trotting in with a rather large plastic bag, Capper would hop up onto the central bar, sitting across from Collard with a huge smile. "You aren't going to BELIEVE what I got my hands on! It's the peak of Earthling technology and entertainment!" Capper spoke while his father leaned forward curiously. He was happy to see that Capper was mostly out of the dumps now, to say the least. Remaining silent, Collard would watch with mild amusement while his son's tail waggled to and fro while he unwrapped something from the bag he carried in. It seemed like the tiny technician was bursting with liquid sunlight from within.
Inside was another box, this one plastered with some surreal, yet cartoony fictional characters of some kind dressed in odd clothing. The large box featured what appeared to be some kind of colorful, winged lion zoan in the center, dressed in a gray and blue trenchcoat with some kind of technological-looking shotgun of some kind...? Collard raised a brow at the absurd design, but that wasn't the end of his many questions at why this strange box excited his child. Pudgy majins dressed in wizard robes, pointy-eared saiyans wearing overly-complicated gis with long scarves and capes, and even a... red ogre female with a rather revealing choice of clothes on the center of the box. On the top, in a golden, elaborate old-timey font was plastered a title- "CHIMERAS AND COSMOS."
"Excuse me, but..." Collard began to question in a monotone voice. "...What exactly am I looking at?" The father of Capper asked, now sounding quite confused. "This!? This is only the very peak of virtual Earthling games!" Capper spoke, his voice resounding with some disbelief, like he couldn't believe Collard wasn't as excited as he was about this... thing. "It's about exploring space and beating baddies! You make a character and roleplay them in this ultimate choose-your-own-adventure, saving planets, galaxies, UNIVERSES-- or conquering them! All in this tiny little box!" Capper concluded, spreading his arms out with a big smile.
"...Don't people do that in real life?" Collard asked, earning a quick shocked galnce from Capper. The saiyan shook his head, speaking one more. "No-- this is different. Trust me." Closing his eyes, the saiyan spoke once more in a confident and cocky tone. "I met a group that played this game earlier-- I played as their one and only bard and pacifist! We avoided an ENTIRE boss battle by convincing the enemy to go into real estate." Capper spoke, leaning back against the chair with a roll of his eyes. Collard tilted his head, still unsure why this oddity of a game captured Capper's interest so well... "I, the great Capper, saved them from certain death, of couse." He spoke, earning a smile and a sigh from Collard. Well, if it made his son happy, he didn't have any complaints.
Shaking his head while Capper began to pull out the game from it's box, the father would speak to his son in a questioning tone again. "So... I'm assuming you want me to play?" The saiyan asked, tilting his head. Capper stopped unpacking the game for a moment, setting a semi-circular sphere onto the table. "Well, yeah. If you want to. We're going to need at least two players and a Cosmic Master to host the game." Collard was confused by the terminology Capper used. Spotting his father's newbie confusion once more, the boy would explain further with a shrug. "You know, someone to kinda host and mod the campaign. Like a storyteller." Capper explained. "Ah." Collard responded with a quick nod, despite still being somewhat confused. The boy began to flip on some switches on the tiny half-circle, while laying out a few manuals and "I'll do that this time around-- you should try playing as a character!" Capper spoke to his father with a smile, sliding over a brochure featuring some pictures of each playable species in the game, along with descriptions of their perks.
"But we're going to need more people to play this..." Capper spoke while Collard narrowed his eyes, trying to decipher the manual like a long forgotten ancient language containing the meaning of life. "Hey! Any of you wanna play Chimeras and Cosmos?!" Capper called out to the residents of the bar while he flipped on a device on the table. The customers eyed the saiyan before turning back to their meals, watching as the storm outside passed. "Tch, fine. Your loss." Capper spoke in response to the civilians' disinterest, crossing his arms with a pout.
The small sphere Capper set on the table flickered to life. An aperture on the top opened as a three-dimensional hologram was displayed, appearing as a menu of some kind, with typical options like "CREATE A CHARACTER", "RESUME GAME", "NEW FILE", and so on. With a sigh, Capper went to go load and continue his old game... But suddenly, the technician would raise his head up when his scouter beeped and the bell near the bar door chimed, signaling the approach of a new customer... and perhaps a new player?

Thread PL: 26,378 | HWs equipped, reducing PL to: 19,783 Today was a good day for Collan, to be fair almost everyday was a good day in his opinion, but there was something special about today. After having just finished the final episode of his favorite show he had binge watched known as 'Sii banzai'. Though once that was done, all he had decided to do was wander the streets of whatever city was currently closest to his ship.
The white haired wonder had been at this for a while, and was kind of getting bored, until he saw a building that had already been engrained in his head. It was Collard's bar! Collan had decided to remember this place as quickly as possible when he realized Capper was going to be living here, so seeing this place got him excited to have a chat with the little one again, maybe his father too if he was up for it.
So heading in, he slammed the door open in a way that only Collan would really call 'cool', and only saying one word..."Sup."
Short post, but only because I just needed to get in.

The young Saiyan sat in a chair at the counter, an empty glass in front of him. A giant glass in fact, one could compare it to being the size of his forearm and it was completely empty. He had drank all of the beverage inside, but he wasn't tipsy in the slightest. Maybe it was a Saiyan Biology thing or maybe...it was just because he had drank apple juice. Looking out a nearby window, the wind howled fiercely, causing the trees to sway and increasing the speed at which the rain met the ground. Thunder boomed loudly as lightning streaked across the sky. It was a storm outside. He had spoke to Collard briefly before as he was the bartender so of course he interacted with him. He didn't realize, however that Capper was there. So, he got up out of his seat and calmly walked over to his nephew, placing a hand on his shoulder as he leaned over and peered at his game. "Hey Cap! Watcha playin'?"
Sorry it's so short! In a rush!

Quickly following after Collan, Fan burst into the bar, a wild and excited grin on his face. He had actually been on his way to Fukurou Forest at the time, but upon noticing Collans immense powerlevel, he couldn't help but chase down the fighter. Once inside though, he caught a glimpse of something shiny, a hologram of sorts. Fan hadn't really been exposed to much technology and so was pretty interested in the small little or producing the hologram. he walked over to Capper, tapping him on the shoulder and asking- "yo... whats this shiny little ball thing?"

For all of his years of experience on Earth, Jax knew that it was generally not thought of as polite for one to go tumbling through a bar in such a state that they would only be wearing a torn up wearable blanket with nothing underneath to cover having their skin ripped and torn in such a way it was barely staying on to only barely stop one's blood from gushing in every direction possible, and no money to pay for the bottles of liquor they may or may not of forcibly taken from the counter. But after having just returned from a forced trip off-planet for the last few months, and fighting his way back to the planet, Jax really didn't care anymore. He didn't care about his image that he had spent his entire life to maintain, as the humble and respectable gentlemen of a former children's martial arts centered television star. No, all he wanted to do was drink his entire trip away, and just forget the mess as soon as possible. "I tell you all, they were weird, strange other-worldly beings! They were messing with my mind, and it was just not a-okay. And they had hordes of people, tons of people from worlds, collecting them. I was able to stop them, they would've probably gotten more of us!" Jax had started to spin in place, pointing to random vacant spots in the bar and addressing them while occasionally stoping to take a drink as his body continued to squirt blood around him. "Not that I have anything wrong with aliens. I'm not that type of guy, y'know. I have plenty of friends with the greenies and those horned fellahs. They're a groovy bunch. Heck, I even am close with a few of those tailes..."It was at this point he noticed a group amassing that the counter he had just recently ransacked, and one of which who was a familar face, something which Jax had not seen in quite a while. Or he had. But they were just virtual projections of people. Because of the experimental virtual reality he was subjugated to. It's complicated, and a whole mess, and you can probably read up on it somewhere else. But right now Jax didn't want to think about any of that, and he started to make his way to the counter. "CAPPER! BUDDY! HAS IT BEEN A GROOVY MINUTE!" He put his arm around the young Saiyan, making a smile that was fowl that it would cause even the bravest of souls to consider staying in the bar, and at the same time he all together forgot about the bottles he had in his hand, letting go of his grip and allowing the bottle to crash to the ground. "Mesa friends with this here space monkey! Aren't I, Capperoni?!"He turned over to the group, his eye catching the box laying on the counter. "Oh my unspecified god-figure, is that Chimichangas and Cosmoes? Me and my pops used to play that all the time."Jax was suddenly overcome with the memory of his father. After all that had happened to him lately, he had almost forgotten the man who had helped him to become the man he was today. A tear started to form in his eye, his mind ran over a montage of nostalgic images, as he blankly stared at the group with a pregnant pause. Luckily he was able to cut that short, as he was soon overwhelmed with a new type of feeling. Kneeling over, Jax began hurling at a rapid pace, almost flooding the floor with rainbow-covered goo, the last remains of the alterations placed upon his body. Once finished, he pulled himself together, and pulled on Capper's clothes. "If you're hosting a game, mind if I join in, buddy?"

"Hiya, Collan!" Capper rang when his friend entered the bar, seeming quite confident in himself today. The saiyan boy seemed much more chipper than when the white haired hybrid last met him as well. Collard raised his head with a smile when Rako approached, putting down the brochure about the game while Capper spoke to his slighly older uncle. "Uncle Rako? Long time no see!" He spoke, even though they had met only a few weeks prior. When he felt a tap on his other shoulder, the saiyan saw a blue-haired earthling, whom questioned what he was playing. "And, uh... You!" Capper spoke, raising a pair of finger guns with a meek smile.
"But what is this, you may ask? This is by far the best piece of Earthling entertainment in all of history, human!" Capper spoke in response to Fan's question in a confident tone. Collard picked up the little brochure again, speaking to the group while trying to decipher the fantasy terms in the packet. "It's apparently some kind of roleplaying game where you create characters and go on campaigns, according to my son here." Raising his head, Collard would eye two familiar faces, Rako and Collan. Turning to Fan, the saiyan father would clear his throat, introducing himself and Capper. "Oh, right. I am Collard Hofferson, owner of this bar. This is my son, Capper."
Capper nodded in response to his father's introductions, once again chiming in while fiddling with some menus on the holographic plane. "And boy is this game AWESOME! We need at least three people to start, including me, your host!" Spinning around in the swirling stool in front of the bar, Capper closed his eyes and raised a finger, speaking once more with confidence. "So if any of you wanna join, that would be fantasti- EEEYAAUAGH!"
Collard would jolt alongside Capper when a strange man dressed in literally nothing but a purple blanket snuck over, speaking loudly and wrapping his arm around the small saiyan technician. Capper's breathing increased while his tail flew upwards, every hair on his head and tail standing on end. Collard calmed down first, narrowing his eyes right at Jax- if looks could kill, Jax would be one big bloody mess right now. Well, more bloody than he already was. The saiyan father had been watching that purple nutcase for awhile, but now...? ". . ." Collard remained silent for now, processing what the best way to maul this man that dared touch his son was...
While Collard was giving his death glare, Capper was sent into panic mode. Who was this man? Why was he so buddy-buddy with him? Capper didn't recognize this purple-garbed man! Yet, the boy's eyes would widen with recognition when Jax called Capper a name he hadn't heard in a long time. "U-u-uh... J-Jax?! What happened to...?!" Capper spoke as some old memories resurfaced. He didn't appreciate being called the slur of a "space monkey," but that was the least of Capper's concerns. What in the name of the otherworlds above happened to Jax?!
"Y-yeah. It's... Chimeras and Cosmos, a-actually." Capper spoke, still uncomfortable around the mostly naked man. Sliding to another stool to put some distance between himself and the possibly insane man. Capper noted a longing, sad look in his quote on quote "friend's" eyes for a moment, tilting his head to the side while calming down a little. His empathy for that longing look was abruptly cut and replaced with disgust when Jax literally puked RAINBOWS. "OH GREAT GALAXIES WHY?!" Capper exclaimed, recoiling backwards. Collard finally decided he had enough of the malarkey and took action, extending an arm forward and picking up his son by the scruff of his shirt, and pulling the boy near his torso, holding his tiny, flighty son with one arm as Capper clutched his father's shirt in shock from Jax's sudden colorful vomit.
"...Look, pal." The father spoke, tapping his foot on the ground with a narrowed, hostile gaze directed to Jax. "Uh... D-dad?" Capper questioned, gritting his teeth when he saw the look in his father's eyes. Ever since Chire's death, the saiyan had been much more protective and jumpy at times. Collard would protect his surviving son with his life, and seeing this freak mess with his son was not something he would tolerate. "I don't appreciate you coming in and... disheveling in my bar and being too quarrelsome with MY son." The saiyan snapped his fingers, still holding Capper close to his chest. Flashes of blue circled the group before a dozen gazelle skulls appeared in the air, mouths opening as ki crackled. With a brilliant flash of light, the saiyan father's form flickered into a Super Saiyan! His power increased exponentially as energy began to gather in his summoned skulls. "This will be your first, and only warning." The saiyan spoke, lowering his hand as the energy in the many skulls' jaws faded.
"Disperse. Clean up this mess, if you will." Collard spoke to his summoned demons. The skulls quickly spread out- one of them grabbed a nearby mop in it's mouth and began to clean up the mess on the floor while others picked up a few menus and passed them around to customers. Sighing and powering back down into his base form, the brown-haired father folded his arms and spoke to the group in a calmer tone. "Now, are we going to play?" The overly protective father questioned.
"...Yeah! S-sure! Eheh..." Capper spoke meekly, hopping out of Collard's grip while menus flickered again on the holographic screen of the game. Approaching Jax cautiously, the saiyan would speak to the man in hopes of easing his worries after Collard's outburst. "Pssst." He spoke, scratching the back of his head. "Sorry about that... Dad's been kinda... protective ever since mom... uh..." Capper paused for a few sickly seconds, looking ill to his stomach- it almost seemed like Capper was about to puke out some rainbows as well! Still, he forced out that last, horrible word. "...Died."
"SO!" Capper spoke, clapping his hands together before hopping back up onto the school, opening up several character creation screens in front of each participant, should they have accepted to play the game prior. "First things first, you all need to create your characters and choose a special skill for them! You know, like swordsmanship, stealth, flight, strength, and so on." Capper concluded. Shaking his head, the saiyan would sit on the counter near his father as the Super Saiyan tore his attention from Jax, focusing on creating a character on the screen in front of him. "This whole thing is a holographic touchscreen. So go nuts!"

As Collan would look around the place, he'd be glad to see the person he came for greeting him. So walking forward, he watched as other people also approached the Saiyan mechanic. Appearntly someone else from the boy's family was here as well. Also here was appearntly a man that seemed to be stealing Collan's hair style, except Fan's was a disgusting blue. Well, blue was fine, but who would have it as a hair color? Though...the next person to come up, Collan wasn't too happy to remember. Jax...oh gods Jax! First time he met this guy, he tried to trick Collan out of his Zenni! And it didn't help when he was annoying as hell! But sadly the white haired wonder couldn't do anything about it. Today though this guy was going insane, he was throwing up rainbows of all things! Something told Collan that with Jax around...this wouldn't be one of his best days anymore. Enough of that though, hopefully Collard's little chat got him straight, as Capper had told everyone to make their characters in this game here that was in front of him...Chimeras and Cosmos? It sounded familiar to him, he did remember playing a lot of table top games as a kid...maybe he should get back into those. No matter, he just needed to focus on making the character. So tapping the screen he went straight to it, he thought he'd decide the characters features and skill before choosing their name. First looking through the races, he took a while before choosing what looked like a very metallic dragon that he could only describe as 'badass'. The skill though...took him a bit. You would think he'd go for something like being physically stronger, but no. He was wondering if he should use a skill that would make him either a 'good' character, or an 'interesting' character. Surprisingly going for the ladder, he went for the stealth skill. A few extra unimportant details that would drag this out later, he was finished. "I call him Rok."

The male Saiyan looked at the door as it chimed when a blue-haired male entered. He seemed to be a bit younger than the chocolate-colored Hofferson but his power was definitely equal to Rako's. Wait a minute...he realized just who this was! A while back he had climbed a tower with this boy and a girl by the name of Gira. "Oh hey, I know you. I climbed a tower with you that one time! That was fun!", the Saiyan said nonchalantly. He hadn't really thought much of it but it was a good experience for him. Quite the workout too, as it definitely got the blood pumping and Rako absolutely loved that. It was like fighting without the violence. But, his traing of thought, or train of reminisce, rather, was derailed when a man in an all purple blanket suit with seemingly nothing under made his way over to Rako's nephew, looking a bit banged up. He was screaming about how Aliens were messing with his mind. Strangely enough, however, that was kind of unbelievable to Rako and he himself was an alien. Next thing y'know he was gonna go running around talking about how he can see the future or something. Rako didn't trust this man and his mind-manipulating alien story one bit. Well, that was until he started to hurl rainbows all over the floor. The Dark-skinned saiyan watched in horror, his mouth gaping open as he raised his right brow. It wasn't shocking enough for him to open his eyes or anything but it was pretty damn nasty. When the man finished and yanked moved toward Capper to yank on him, Rako quickly backed away, moving a few feet back. "What the--? Did you just--? Why did you--? How did you--?", he stuttered, trying to squeeze multiple questions out of his mouth at once causing him to jump from question to question. But another question, one much more important popped into Rako's mind as his brother brought Capper closer to him and gave the man a rather unfriendly stare. What was that about? Could it be the recent loss of Chire that was putting him on edge? To be fair though, the man did just start spewing comments about mind-controlling alien stuff and then barf freaking RAINBOWS all over his floor so he couldn't blame him for moving Capper away. The boy then went over to chat with Jax apologize and reassure him, which made Rako smile. It was just proof that not all Saiyans are heartless killing machines like Rako believes his father thinks them to be. The silence didn't have to long of a life, however, as Capper began to speak to the group as a whole. Suddenly, in front of Rako popped up a screen. Was this some kind of...game? He hadn't really gotten into the human aspects of technology but he did know that games played on a virtual system was positively received by a lot of people. Even so, the former SSE member decided that today would be the day when he decided for himself whether or not these games were good enough. "Chimeras and Cosmos, eh? This game better be good Capper! This is my first Videogame so I wanna have a good first impression!"A wild grin smeared across his face, the Saiyan quickly went right into making a new character. Scrolling through the options, he made various choices, rotating his character multiple times occasionally letting a small "Uh huh..." or "Mhm..." come out to imply his satisfaction with the character he was making. Eventually, he came near the end of the process and the time came for him to choose what special skill his character would utilize. Thinking briefly, he decided he'd go for Strength. That way, he could fight anything that he believed he could throwdown with! Nodding, he pressed the 'Finish' button and then directed his full attention towards Capper. "Alright, all finished with my character!""His name is Loarus! I picked Strength for him, that way, he can tussle with anybody you threatens him or his friends!", the Saiyan said enthusiastically.
