I l-love you...Good........night...
Good night, Tomoyo.
This will be the most restful sleep you’ll ever get.
...I hope I wake up early tomorrow...I still need to wrap the presents...
Darkness. That was all that Tomoyo could see. At first, it hurt... but then it didn't. The darkness wasn't pushing in on him, it was him; it comforted him in the absence of sight, it wrapped around him like a blanket in the cold. No, this darkness wasn't harmful, it wasn't scary. This darkness was that of peace and relief...
And then the darkness ran red. Chaos, emotion, despair, passion, memories. All of these things and more flooded back into Tomoyo's mind. There was no more darkness, there was scarlet and blue, green and black. With the return of color came the return of thought, the return of feeling, and the return of his mind. It was as if a blindfold had been suddenly lifted from over the hybrid's eyes as all at once the colors blended into a searing white that ripped at the child's retinas. "AAAAAAAH!" Screaming, for now he had lungs, and gripping at his eyes, for now he had hands, Tomoyo desperately shook the head he now possessed back and forth in hopes of relieving the pain he now received.
And all at once it stopped. The pain disappeared, the light dimmed down from a burning white flame to a creamy yellow hue. The world around him became real. Tomoyo was on some sort of stone bridge of sorts. There were clouds, bright yellow clouds that looked like cotton candy surrounding the world for just about far as Tomoyo could see. But those weren't the only clouds, since there were even tiny white clouds that floated in front of and behind Tomo too! "W-Where am I?" The child hastily echoed, his voice sounding almost like it was muffled behind a layer of blankets when it finally became audible... now that Tomo noticed it, he couldn't really feel his legs. Looking down to see if maybe he was injured, the problem became almost instantly evident:
He had no legs.
"W-W-WHERE ARE MY LEGS!?!?!?" The hybrid spirit lacking any living blood screamed in fright as his ghostly pale tail swished back and forth in accordance to his emotion. He was floating! In fact his entire body was levitating as some sort of white fluffy, Tomo shaped cloud that seemed to be the form he was stuck in. How did this happen!? At any other time Tomoyo would have been positively ecstatic that he was flying; heck, that had been his dream for as long as he could remember, but losing his legs in exchange was not a fair trade off he would have approved!
"Psst. Hey kid, shut up." The cloud behind Tomo suddenly spoke up, bumping Tomo lightly; though for something as light as an 11 year old shaped cloud, the force of the bump nearly sent him careening off the edge. "Zip it or you might get us both sent to HFIL!"
Eyes widening into large, powdery saucers; the half Human's "heart" felt like it was beating a mile a minute. "W-Where am I? What are you? Where's Teku? Where's Noxa?"
"SHHHHH!" The spirit once more shushed the child, this time leering dangerously close enough to suggest he was about to bump the kid again. "Look. Imma make this short and sweet." Turning in a small circle for a moment, as if organizing its thoughts, the gruff voiced cloud once more continued its explanation. "Long story short, you're dead. Too bad, so sad, keep moving. I don't know anything about ya, or this Noka and Texu, but I'm guessing you got some friends you'll see later too... maybe... dependin' on where you end up. Now shut up and read the stupid sign." Gesturing towards said sign that was steadily becoming visible as the line progressed, the weird cloud person soon shut up either fed up with the child or simply not trying to mess up his chances.
Tomoyo craned his neck to spot what the sign said, reading it out silently to himself while still trying to wrap his head around all of this. "Purest and most good hearted deed... and my wickedest deed. Be honest, because lying to King Yemma will weigh heavily against you... who's king Yemma?" Wait, there was a king in heaven and hell? Was that god? Was God's name actually Yemma?! "Woah... I wonder if he has a beard." Musing to himself about the appearance and possible presence of God, the child was aptly distracted until the amount of time it took his soul to finally enter the check in station.
Taking notice of the large desk inside of the gigantic building, his eyes widened in amazement at the sight before finally coming to a realization...
He completely forgot to come up with his good and bad deeds.
