[Thread PL: 20,351, Heavy Weights On, Reduced PL: 5,088][ Ramina ]
Kale sat on the couch in Ramina's home while he watched his favorite anime series about a young crew of pirates that aimed to be the best in the world. There was enough natural lighting inside the house thanks to the rays of the sunshine that filtered through the window a few feet away. As the intro to the series played, the Saiyan looked out the window to his left to watch the city life of East Capitol outside. He noted that it wasn't very cloudy out today. Today was a day of the weekend which meant that his mate's store below was currently closed. And it was a good thing, too, because there was something that Kale desperately needed to discuss with Ramina. Despite the calmness of the outside world and the feel-good anime on the television screen, there was an air of unease and nervousness surrounding him today. "Ramina." kale breathed sighed. His tail twitched softly as he felt anxiety rattling around inside of him. Something was definitely on the Saiyan's mind. He wanted to speak to Ramina desperately but he was, in all honesty, afraid to. Imagine that, a member of a warrior race was afraid of a conversation. |

Ramina was laying next to Kale on the sofa, relaxing in the warm aura given off by her mate as she TV played it's show. She was rather calm today, having woken up in an alright mood and staying that way for the most of the day. Scratching behind her ear with her front paw, her head rested on his shoulder as she heard his heart rate increase. Almost automatically, she perked her ears up at him.
"Are you alright?! You're shaking, your heartbeat's increased, whats wrong?" Her orange eyes softened with concern, the want to figure out what was wrong with her lover making her paw at his face. "Tell me.. please?" She asked, giving him the cat equivalent of puppy-dog eyes to try to calm him down. Her tail was curled behind her, fluffed up with concern for the male.

Kale's eyes looked to Ramina. Her beauty was as incredible as ever. "I..." the Saiyan trailed off. With a gulp, he attempted to collect his thoughts. How am I going to ask her?
Kale exhaled once again. Well, he thought, here goes nothing. His tail wrapped around Ramina's waist. Kale took her paws into his hands, turning to face her now. "I'm all right, sweetheart." He assured her. "But...About the other night." The memories of that special night that Ramina and Kale shared made his cheeks flush softly. It was a night that he would remember for the rest of his life.
Kale's eyes looked into Ramina's longingly. "I think that you should get a pregnancy test." There. He said it. It was all out in the open, now. Now all that he had to do was wait for Ramina to speak.

Ramina felt his tail curl around her waist; previously having trailed off after a single word. He assured her he was alright after taking her paws in his hands, flushing slightly as he began something about the other night. What he said next made her eyebrows fly sky-high in surprise, almost off her face in a comical manner. "A.... pregnancy test?" She repeated, blinking as her eyebrows returned to their natural positions on her face.
"...You think I'm pregnant? It's not like I have a test I can whip out of midair to take in the first place, I'll do it but you have to go get one." The last part was amusing, headbutting her lover gently. "Don't worry. I'm sure it'll probably be negative." Turning back to the anime, her tail curled onto her lap and she pet it absentmindedly as the TV played the show. What.....

"What?" Kale asked bewildered by the notion that Ramina proposed to him. "I have to get the test kit?" Well, this was going to be interesting. He never imagined himself walking into a store and buying a pregnancy test. "Well, okay." Kale offered a warm smile. His hand was placed against her cheek. He caressed her, running his hand along Ramina's soft fur. Then, Kale would move to pull her into a loving kiss if she allowed.
"I'll head on out, then," the Saiyan mused in an affectionate voice. Kale moved off of the couch and stretched himself out. "I shouldn't be long, love." He turned to look at her. Every time he saw her his face lit up by instinct. "It's a slow day. So there shouldn't be any long lines. I love you, hun." Those words could always bring joy to the Saiyan. After giving his goodbyes, Kale made his way to the door to begin his adventure of buying a pregnancy test.

Ramina looked at him as he seemed bewildered by the fact he had to get it; something she found rather amusing as he drew her into a gentle, loving kiss. She purred softly as he stretched, before getting up. "Love you too.. don't go oozaru while you're out." Yawning sleepily, she laid on the sofa to relax and wait for him to come back; watching the anime to some extent while dozing off as well.
She indeed ended up dozing off, dreaming about the first time they met and the fact she was purring would probably indicate it. The next dream was of yarn and kittens, and the store being decorated with christmas lights and snow outside. of course there was snow right now; but she couldn't wait for winter that was for sure. The snow was always so cold, but so fluffy at the same time.

As Kale promised, it didn't take very long for the lovestruck Saiyan to find his way to a drug store. The sliding glass automatic doors opened once Kale placed his booted foot onto the mat. He continued his way into the store with his tail wrapped around his waste in the typical fashion for Saiyans. "Okay let's see here. What isle do I need to go to?" He was feeling a tad shy just by being here.
Kale groaned quietly in annoyance with himself. "Pull yourself together," he uttered in a hushed voice. "You're just here to get a pregnancy test. There's nothing wrong with that, and no one will judge you!" With a sigh, he calmed himself. "Who cares what people think? Nobody knows you."
The Saiyan located the particular isle that he needed to be in so that he could grab a pregnancy test. "Here it is." Kale grabbed one of the boxes from its shelf. "This looks like what she needs."
Eventually, the possible soon-to-be father arrived back at Ramina's home. He entered to find that Ramina was still dozing on the couch like a cat. Which was normal being that she was a snow leopard. "Honey, I'm back."

Ramina was dozing sleepily, one of her front paws twitching as she slept. In her dream, she was flying through the air and feeling the wind on her fur, which in reality made her tail sway back and forth from hanging off the edge of the sofa. The male had gotten in while her guard was down, and once she heard his voice she snapped out of her light sleep and almost jumped a mile high.
"Oh sweet kami it's just you." She replied, holding her heart for a moment before opening her paw to get the box from her lover. Walking into the bathroom, she did what she had to do and gave it back to him, having misread it as negative. "See, I told you it's negative" She replied, even though.... there was clearly a vertical line through that minus, likely to send her mate reeling.

And indeed did that extra line send Kale's mind into a state of shock. He could almost hear his heart pumping in his ears. Negative. She said negative. As in a single line. But there's a plus sign on here! That means...! The Saiyan brought his free hand up to his mouth. He continued to stare at the result unable to believe its reading. Did she look at it in bad lighting?
"Ramina...This test isn't a negative!" Kale wasn't sure whether to be overjoyed or terrified. He always wanted to have children of his own since he was twenty years old. But now that he was going to be a dad, was he even ready?
Kale needed to be 100 percent sure of what he wanted. The test result was just staring him in the face, taunting him almost. The Saiyan was madly in love with Ramina. He did want to settle down with her and raise a family eventually. He just didn't realize how soon Life would kickstart that process. "Oh Kami, I'm going to be a dad!" He knew, now. He was positive (just like the test) that he wanted to father children with Ramina. Thinking about it brought a proud smile to the Saiyan's face.

Ramina looked at Kale, who had a face of complete shock for reasons she didn't know. His hand went up to his mouth, causing the cat's brow to go up in surprise. They went comically higher once he spoke to her that it was positive, sending her reeling as well. She was incredibly surprised but looked down at her stomach, silence filling the room briefly. "...Oh Kami, We're parents."
Looking up at him, she noticed the proud smile and flung her arms around his neck with a purr rumbling strongly in her throat. "I'm so happy.. Are you sure you want to go through with this?" She asked, nosing his cheek gently and hugging him closely.

Kale held his love tightly. He nodded happily. "Of course I want to go through this with you, Ramina." The Saiyan kissed his mate softly on the forehead. "You make me happy. And I have a good feeling that we will make great parents."
With that notion, Kale brushed a strand of hair away from Ramina's eye. "I know that you will be a wonderful mother. We will both be incredible parents. I promise." Thoughts of what the child would look like swirled around in the father-to-be's mind. Would they be completely zoan in features? Or Saiyan? Perhaps they would look like a hybrid of sorts. Only time would tell.

Ramina's tail started wagging behind her happily, her orange eyes having lighted up with excitement. When he told her she was sure, it brought relief to the cat that he was alright with this. She purred a bit more when he brushed a strand of her black hair out of her eyes; revealing the gorgeous amber orbs once more. "You.. You make me happy too." She replied softly, tilting her head as the zoan offered a loving smile to her mate. "Also, I'm hungry are you?"

Kale's stomach rumbled loudly at the mention of food. Almost comically, the Saiyan placed a hand on his belly. "Are you kidding? I've been starving all day!" His voice dripped with sorrow as liquid formed at the corners of his eyes. "I've been so nervous I couldn't eat!"
In truth, it was as if Kale's stomach reached a point where it was close to causing ulcers by eating itself from lack of food. His abdomen was even cramping from the pain of starvation. "I know that Saiyans can last a few weeks without food, but I'm seriously about to implode! Do you know of a cheap yet good quality restaurant?"
The Saiyan looked into his zoan mate's eyes, hoping that she could help him in this desperate situation. If anything, he was giving her puppy eyes. "I literally will die if I don't eat." An exaggeration at best.

Ramina let go and took a few steps back, putting her paws on her hips. Of course he was 'starving'; all Saiyans had the desire to just eat and eat. He gave her puppy dog eyes, to which the cat laughed. "I have plenty of leftover food in the fridge, go and have some." He was exaggerating for sure, but the cat decided to humor him and play along with it. "Also, don't go dying on me or you'll be paying child support from the afterlife."
The last part was an intentional tease to play with her lover, following him into the kitchen if he went and opening the fridge to leftover containers full of food. "I sometimes cook more than I can eat, so I have very many leftovers for you to eat. If I need to make more I will, I'll have to be eating well myself since I'm expecting kittens." Scratching behind her ear, the fluffy black appendage twitched adorably in response.

The Saiyan's eyes lit up, almost twinkling like stars. "Leftovers?" Kale repeated with joy. Oh man, I bet she's an amazing cook! He hurriedly entered the kitchen and swung open the refrigerator. Just as Ramina had promised, there was a vast collection of food in Tupperware containers. To Kale, it was like peering into a dragon's horde of gold and other treasures.
"All of these are for me?" the Saiyan asked in a faux disbelief. With his mouth now watering up and essentially becoming an ocean, Kale grabbed as many leftovers as he could muster. There was so much food that he grabbed, it towered haphazardly while he attempted to balance it all in his arms. "Woah, easy!" Kale looked nervous, more so worried that he would end up ruining the food.
The Saiyan managed to place the food on the kitchen table. It was a miraculous feat, no doubt! Kale was so starving that he could not wait any longer! And just like that, he tore off the first container's cover and began to engorge himself while trying his best not to make a mess.
