The android girl flashed her entry card and proceeded to walk in and head for the bunkers. She still had a minor headache from hitting her head on the control panel during the communication with Cipher, but nothing that was incapacitating. Freid had introduced her to a strange drink that was addictive and made her feel strange a few weeks ago, but she hadn't drunk any since.
She was still fairly scratched up and still in her bloody clothes from when she was beaten into the ground by Denim, a long scar over her right eye. Silence reigned as nobody dared mess with the teenager, who didn't mess with them in return as she walked. Part of her wondered how ViPoi was doing, and another part of her wanted to see Cipher.

When the Pale Rider had touched down, the first thing Cipher did was escort his family to their living quarters. Once that was finished, the android set out in search of Tekuma. When he had spoken to her over the Bluenet, the girl looked like utter hell, and Cipher was going to make good on his promise to make her take some leave. Running herself ragged wouldn't do the BBA any favours. He was going to make the woman take a break!
Thankfully, it wasn't hard to find her. After all, Tekuma's distinct appearance wasn't something most people forgot, and judging by their reactions, the girl had developed a fearsome reputation since she came back. The android almost paused when his eyes fell on her. The woman was a complete wreck! "When was the last time you had any sleep?" Cipher asked as he approached her, "Or bathed for that matter."

Tekuma was busy putting on her labcoat when Cipher came along, looking up at him with her jade green eyes. He asked her two questions, and she moved to internally groan and towards her lab. "I don't know, why? I don't keep track of my sleeping records when I have a job to do." A person tried to convince her once she met him further down the hall to rest, and she made a low growling sound and flashed her aura to make him stutter and leave.
Sighing, she'd gesture with her tail for the four-armed android to follow if he wanted to talk to her, and would search her pocket for a key which she used to unlock her lab door. Snapping on her goggles and gloves, the girl looked just like when Cipher met her along with Mu-Kal back in the city; but she was far stronger than most expected since her change to becoming a full android. "I don't need sleep anymore, my supervisors turned me into a full android."

Cipher let out a sigh. "Because Tekuma, if your little display during our last conversation is any indication, you're literally running yourself into the ground. I can understand you wanting to do your best for the BBA, but that doesn't mean working yourself to death to do it. I don't want that, and I can assure you, Vipoi doesn't want that." He looked over her in annoyance, "And to be honest, you look like you came out of a warzone. Honestly, you CAN take a break once in a while." While he couldn't doubt Tekuma's dedication, this was rediculous.
When she mentioned she had been turned into a full android, Cipher's eyes narrowed. "I was not informed of this. Who authorized it? Was Dr. Slouch involved?" He didn't like the idea of people simply converting others into androids just for the sake of it. If Tekuma was willing, and it had been authorized by one of the higher ups, like the good doctor, then Cipher would let it go.

Tekuma looked at Cipher, knowing he was concerned and he brought up a good point; she did look like a warzone. Snapping her fingers, the bloody clothing she has was instantly replaced by new ones. "I'm fine, I swear!" She replied, stubborn but not wanting to seem weak to her supervisor. "Uhhhh... I forget his name, why? Definitely wasn't Dr. Slouch though." She replied, scratching her head.
Moving to get out a few bits of equipment, she'd sigh. "I don't need to eat or drink or sleep anymore unlike you, I don't give off body odors like cyborgs do. Getting converted was something to help me better myself; and I should've seen you coming. I was talking to my supervisors when they offered me that so I took it. I know for sure Vi wasn't involved; he's too busy to be in things of my level. You remind me of my dad."

Well, at least she looked a little better, though her body was still scratched up. Hearing how she approved of the conversion, Cipher found himself relaxing. If it was something she wanted, he couldn't object. But there were things he could object to. "You may not need to eat, or sleep, but even machines can wear themselves down if overworked." he crossed his arms, looking down at the smaller android, "And while I applaud your enthusiasm, you're not good to anyone if you work yourself to destruction."
As she compared him to her late father, Cipher raised an eyebrow. "I'll take that as a compliment. And I'm sure your father wouldn't want you overworking yourself either." He took a step towards her, "That's why I'm putting you on temporary leave. Go, relax, get used to your new body and recover. You went through a lot on Konats, and we want you at your peak."

Tekuma looked at Cipher, who seemed to ease up a little and continued to speak. His next sentences stuck her at a heavy bolt speed, and she froze as a result. He'd mentioned a touchy subject with her, the failure to save her parents bringing her close to the brink of tears. "I.. I... You know my father's dead, right." She replied quietly, her voice an odd near-whisper and slightly choked.
"I don't know what else to do, I spend most of my days in here and even late into the night! What am I supposed to do, just sit there like a derp and do nothing? I can't not do something, I have to do something to help!" Getting a bit frustrated, the vial in her hand which was thankfully empty was suddenly crushed. Magically flicking the shards into a trashcan, she growled and would move to storm out of the room.

Cipher had not intended on bringing old wounds to the surface when he mentioned her father. Cipher's expression softened, seeing hos upset the girl was, as he took a step forward, putting a hand gently on her shoulder. "I don't expect you to simply sit around and do nothing. You're free to do whatever you wish. Go to a spa, see a movie, travel, do whatever you like. Consider this a vacation, a time to relax and take care of yourself."
He gave her a warm smile. "And believe me Tekuma, you have been a great help. You've already done plenty and we appreciate it. You deserve to have a break now and again, especially now that there isn't some horrible disaster looming on the horizon." Was this why Tekuma was working herself to the bone? She felt like she wasn't of any use to the organization. Cipher considered every member of the BBA a valid contributor to their operations, and he was going to let Tekuma know that.

Tekuma felt his hand on her shoulder, tempted to tell him to bug off. "Does it look like I live anywhere but HQ? I don't. I have no living relatives, my parents and everyone I know and love is dead. You can't even COMPREHEND what I feel like right now." Her teeth were bared in a low hiss, her aura slowly crackling around her. Trying to calm herself back down, it took her a minute as she saw his warm smile.
On the android's pale face she saw her father's face, the warm smile making her remember what she'd lost on that day. Tears from her eyes began to slide down her cheeks, and she bit her lower lip. Her body racked with suppressed sobs, soul aching with the desire to bring her parents back. She missed their constant reassurance, their love and affection. Sure she was thought about, but was it really the same?
"I want my dad back.... I miss my parents, if only I could have saved them. Why am I so useless? I can't do anything right, if I could have she wouldn't have died. He wouldn't have died. I would have been able to save my grandparents from dying at the hands of the Saiyans on invasion day, instead of cowering in the Kami-damn corner!" Tears came in quicker succession, radiating an aura of despair and loneliness.

Cipher understood a lot more than Tekuma realized. "Tekuma, when I was first created, my own creator rejected me, and for years afterwards, I was literally a wandering bum. No home, no family, no friends, no future. It was only after the BBA found me and took me in that I started getting my life together. Now, I have a fiance, a daughter, and once we've found a suitable location, a good place to live." He looked into her eyes, "Yes, you lost a lot. But that doesn't mean you have nothing. You can rebuild, get your life back on track. You don't need to simply surrender yourself to your work to give your life meaning."
Of course, more pain was starting to surface. The poor girl blamed herself for the loss of her family. Cipher reached forward and pulled the girl into a gentle hug. "You couldn't do anything back then. Nobody blames you for what happened." He looked down at the sobbing android, "And I can assure you your family doesn't either. There is an existence after this one, and where your family is, nothing can hurt them."

Tekuma listened despite the tears racking her body, and she was happy at least he had someone that loved him. She only had Tomo, the adventurous young hybrid boy who she'd terrified with her new enhancements. "If I surrender to it, it takes away the pain." She whispered quietly, barely able to voice through the choking sobs racking her body. "...I could have done SOMETHING! I could have gotten them out of the burning house alive.. They should be in this existence, not that one!"
"I want them back! I want to feel like I have purpose. I want to be hugged and loved by my parents. Every day they'd be there for me, helping me with everything. I got kicked out of school for my cybernetic enhancements, I was too disruptive of the normal function. As if being part demon previously didn't help." He drew her into a warm hug, which caused her to bawl even harder than before. "I want love like my parents gave to me.. but they're gone, and I..." She cut off, continuing her lonely, pained crying.

Cipher looked down sadly at the girl was she cried, holding onto him. He wished there was something he could do. He knew that it was possible for people to return from the dead, but he had a distinct impression that Tekuma's family were not the kind of people capable of it.
"We're here for you."
Cipher blinked and looked back to see Porsalynne standing in the doorway, Charlene by her side. "Porsalynne..." Cipher murmured as his fiance approached them. The female android rested a gentle hand on Tekuma's shoulder. "I know it hurts. But just know you're never alone. We're here for you." "Yeah," Charlene said, looking up at the android and giving her a smile. "The BBA's like a big family in itself, and we're always here to support you." Cipher couldn't help but smile at his family's support.

Tekuma cried into the chest of the older android, her tears soaking the clothing the male was wearing. A familiar voice reached her ears, a hand on her shoulder making the dejected teen lookup at Porsalynne and Charlene. "T..Thanks guys." She whispered hoarsely, moving out of Cipher's embrace. "I.. I'm sorry for breaking down on you." She was still on the verge of more tears, feeling incredibly depressed.
Her head was still down, taking off her labcoat and putting away her gear, shutting her lab down with her tail trailing on the ground. Without being able to work on what she wanted to, it left her lost. "I.. I wish I could have a vacation with my parents. We were going to go to the beach the day they got killed, and it was going to be a birthday gift. The day I got older was the day they died, it is all my fault.."

"Don't say that," Porsalynne said, motherly concern in her eyes as she looked at the sad android, "What happened to your parents wasn't your fault. There was nothing you could have done. Don't ever blame yourself for it." She gave Tekuma a comforting smile, "If anything, I'd say your parents would be proud of how far you've come."
Cipher smiled. "Exactly. You've come so far and done so much. How many people can claim they've been to other planets, or seen or studied the things you've done?" Charlene watched quietly, pondering all the while. "Well, if you want something to do, me and Mom can take you out for a good time. Just so you're not alone. Show you how to have fun again." Porsalynne clapped her hands together a bright smile on her face. "That sounds like a wonderful idea! That way, you wont have to be alone. What do you say?"

Tekuma looked at them with pain and loneliness glimmering in her eyes, which were fresh with tears being suppressed. She listened to them, Both older adults giving her reassurance and compliments. It lifted her spirits a bit, and Charlene's offer made her surprised and Porsalynne rather excited. Giving a semi-sheepish grin, the android shrugged in response. "I don't see why not."
