The formless cloud known as Greeve quietly hovered along, taking in his surroundings. Hell wasn't exactly what he had been expecting. Legends in the land of the living portrayed it as a nightmarish landscape where souls are tormented for all of eternity. And yet, apart from some areas where it was wasteland, parts of it were surprisingly pleasant. Souls floating around, mingling with eachother. It really wasn't that much different compared to the living world. This ultimately confused the deceased demon. If Hell wasn't so bad, then Heaven was no doubt better. So, if the Afterlife was like this, then why did the living fear death so much? Why did they go out of the way to resist it, and in the event that fails, use the dragonballs to completely undo it. Greeve would have to educate the poor souls once he returned to the land of the living. It was at that point that the demon noticed something. He didn't see or hear anything, but more sensed it. A strong presence, here in Hell. He had encountered powerful individuals here before, but something about this was different. It was similar to Plato's power, in that it felt like it had substance, instead of just being a formless spirit, but it lacked the darkness that the dead king possessed. It intrigued the demon of death, as he began to float over towards its source. It shouldn't be too hard to find. The more he could learn about this place, the better. Conan

"God, i'm really bored!" Conan would say to himself as he continued on his little walk. He was bored out of his mind! There were no good fighters down in Hell, even though most of the people in the living world that are strong were evil! It could have something to do with the wish the living made to rewind all the damage the SSE has caused, but why revive bad guys? Conan stopped and stared at the darkness for a moment. This is a really bad situation for him. There are no good opponents for Conan to face, and the strongest ones were in cloud form. Training really wouldn't get Conan anywhere, as he had already tried to train with two people, and failed. Conan sighed and sat down. "I might as well go back up to the world of the living. But, how would I do it? I mean, the only way I know of getting revived is getting wished back to life!" Conan looked at the ground with sad eyes, and then continued, "And if that IS the only way? Then i'm practically screwed." Tears started to fall from Conan's face as he realized that importance of this situation. Would he be condemned to a life down here in Hell? Or would someone come for him, someone who actually cared for him? As he continued to silently contemplate this shocking revelation, he sensed the power of a lone cloud floating towards him. Conan knew that this was a cloud because they were able to creep up on him silently, and the power of a cloud isn't that much, it was close to the power level of a regular human, and that's what Conan had sensed. He would get up and turn around to look at the newcomer.
Conan was correct. It was one of the cloud people. He could tell that it was one whom he had not met before, as most of the clouds would never think to follow Conan on one of his thinking trips. So, he decided to take it easy on the cloud and introduce himself. "Why hello. It seems that you're the one I sensed just a couple of seconds ago. You must be new here. I'll be glad to introduce you to the place. My name is Conan, a Saiyan warrior. What is your name?"

A Saiyan. Greeve hadn't expected to run into one of those here, at least not so soon. Then again, it made sense. Saiyans were warriors and plunderers by nature, and so it made sense that one would find itself in Hell. Though as he came upon this saiyan, its actions seemed to confuse Greeve. He was acting oddly polite to him, even friendly. This wasn't the actions of someone who was sent to Hell. And even then, why would he be so friendly towards him, a total stranger he met in HELL? If he had a head, he'd be tilting it in confusion. He did remember when he first came down here a sort of snake-like passage. One of the ogres called it Snake Way, something about falling off of it would lead to hell. Is that what happened to this one? He fell off into hell? The thought was almost humorous. Though there was one thing the demon was curious about. This was the third individual he found here that had a physical body, while the rest were only formless spirits. This saiyan must have been here for a while, though his strength was not that much stronger than his own. "My name is Greeve," the demon replied to his question, being polite, "And you're right. I only just arrived here not too long ago." He wondered what new information he could get from this one. Conan

Conan smiled. 'I knew he wasn't from around here!' The feeling of accomplishment flooded into Conan for the first time in many months. The sorrow that had enveloped him for many months had finally been sent away. "So you only arrived here recently, huh? Well that explains some things." Conan didn't mean to be rude by saying this. It was the truth! But, since he was only 15 years old, he could see the mistake of some people thinking that it was sass. "It's nice to meet you Greeve. I only died recently as well. In fact, I'm supposed to be up in heaven right now, but heaven is really boring, so I decided to fall down here." Conan inside his mind facepalmed. It sounded even stupider when he said it out loud. Even if he did for training, it was still very idiotic for him to fall down here with the worst of the worst. Conan then said very quickly after his first statement, "I know it was idiotic. Don't get me started on it. There's a tournament up in heaven and I can't even get back up there to fight in it! it really was a mistake of mine to fall down here." Greeve probably thought Conan was sent down here in the first place, but nope! Conan was different from others in his race. His trip from Vegeta to Earth had softened him. "Anyways, how did you get here?"

Greeve was a little surprised by the claims this Conan was making. He had originally been sent to Heaven, but decided to come down to hell? It was a little hard to believe. First off, Saiyans were notorious fighters and killers. The idea of one getting into Heaven seemed farfetched, especially since he was sent to hell for something similar. Secondly, why would anyone willingly come to hell? Unless they had a thirst for battle, like this individual did.
Then came the question as to how Greeve came down here. He figured telling the young Saiyan that he was sentenced here for killing people wouldn't put him on good terms with the boy. "I was killed, simple as that." he simply replied. There was no real reason to go into detail about it. "I am curious though as to how you came across your body. It was my understanding that you lost your form when you died. Yet here you are." Hopefully this boy would give him more information on the AL.

Conan frowned slightly when Greeve asked how Conan had gotten back his body. He really didn't have a direct answer for him. Conan wanted to assure him that he'll get a body soon enough, but if he was sent down here to Hell without falling from Heaven, then he couldn't be that good of a guy. If he wasn't that good of a guy, then he might not be able to get his body back. Conan always thought that he got his body back because he was a good person and he had used his own willpower to regain physical form. Maybe a little hope is all that Greeve needed. If Conan hadn't seen anyone with their own body, then Conan would have probably failed in regaining his body, and would also have wasted away in the deep depths of Hell, never to be seen again. But because of all the people he had met, all the people who hadn't gave up, he was able to pick himself back up and put his "life" back together. He forced himself to light that determined fire inside himself once again. And he succeeded. He was able to get his body back, and continue training to this day. So, after a couple minutes of thinking deeply and contemplating this question, he opened his mouth and said, "Well, how I got my body back is very complicated. I had to find myself, find what really made me, me. Then, I had to reignite the fire inside of me, restart my determination, the very thing that kept me going in the living world. Finally, I willed myself, thinking of all the things that I fought for, all the things I believed in, everyone who I cared about, and used my willpower to channel my cloudness into a physical form. At least, that's what I did." Conan ended off with a grin. He hoped that this would help Greeve reform himself into his physical self soon. "Hopefully, that helped," Conan said as he looked at Greeve. "Any more questions?"

Greeve hovered there, listening to the saiyan as he spoke about finding himself and willpower and other such stuff. For some reason, Greeve had the impression that it was a bit more than that. Otherwise he simply could have willed himself into his corpreal form. No, odds are this guy probably had no clue either. A shame. But there were individuals who had their bodies, so it was possible to get them back. Greeve would just have to keep searching for the means to do so, all the while taking in what the Afterlife had for him. "I do have another question," Greeve spoke up, changing topics, "You said you came from heaven, correct? So, how did you end up down here? This is the jail for the damned, the wicked who receive their rightful punishment. Why would you come down here, when you have paradise handed to you?"

"You think up there is Paradise? Well, sorry to shock you, but it really isn't." Conan didn't care if it surprised him. It was the honest truth, and the truth is what he was gonna give Greeve. "Yeah, I know what you're going to say. 'But isn't it a place where all fallen wish to be, or love to be?' Well, it wasn't satisfying enough for me. I couldn't find any strong fighters there, no one to train with, not even some decent conversation! But down here, a jail for the damned, it's as if its just begging me to fight everything down here! I mean, have you noticed what kind of beings lurk here? It gets me fired up just thinking about it!" He jumped up and down, just thinking about what he hasn't explored, thinking about what could be out there! Conan slowly calmed down and then said to Greeve, "And, also, I made a promise to myself. I can't train well up there, its too easy. The conditions up there are too, well, friendly! I needed somewhere where I could train in the harshest of conditions, and fight the deadliest of evils. And the only place that I could think of is, well, here!" Conan shrugged. He needed to fulfill this promise. Earth is going to be under siege some day once again, and he would need to be strong enough to face it. He was going to need help, but then if Conan was strong enough, he could actually be on the front lines instead of the sidelines, waiting to intervene and, most likely, die again! He looked at Greeve, and then looked back down towards his feet. "I promised.." He hesitated. Would this guy even take him seriously? Would he be like the others, who laughed or scoffed at the thought of something beyond the regular boundaries of Saiyan power? He decided to take a risk, and continued, "I promised myself that I would transcend the limit of a regular Super Saiyan, something beyond any form of power that could be rationalized. I want to be," Conan stopped. He didn't really think of a name yet for this supposed form. Super Saiyan Double ascended? 'No, that's stupid,' Conan thought to himself as he searched for a good name for this godly transformation. 'Oh, I know!' Conan thought as he looked Greeve in the cloud eyes. If he looked closely, he would see the steely eyes of a determined Saiyan warrior, with a deep want to protect his world. Greeve would see 15 years of battle, war, and pure courage. He would finally speak, in a serious tone, "A Super Saiyan 3."

Greeve would have raised an eyebrow if he was capable of it when Conan gave his reasons for being in hell. Too peaceful? Looking for people to fight? To train? To try and get out of this place? The demon would have shaken his head. This poor fool actually turned down paradise for his desire to fight and grow stronger. Saiyans were all alike in the end, willing to throw away a good thing in favour of strife.
"So power...that is why you're here? Such a waste. Though I can understand you lacking appropriate sparring partners up in heaven. The so-called righteous warriors fear death. They do everything they can to avoid it. Even perverting the very preciousness of life itself. Not that life has any real value at this point anyway." It truly irritated the demon of death. Life was intended to be fleeting, but these so called 'heroes' will do everything they can to avoid the end.

Conan looked at Greeve curiously. Heroes, who fought for righteous causes, who would give it all to protect their loved ones, not worthy of the title hero? Well, Conan somewhat agreed with that, and also completely disagreed with his logic. Sure, there were some cocky bastards who were heroes and somehow made it to heaven, but there were also true saviors; people who had given their whole lives to save the light and the innocent, one of those people including Conan. The other thing that pissed Conan off about Greeve was his idea of waste. God damn it, why did people have this point of view of the world? Conan's eyes saw the world through what it could be, and what kind of things he could achieve through hard work and determination, and this guy just comes along and says that all of that is a total waste? Well, Conan couldn't have any of that. He'd look at Greeve dead in the (cloud) eyes and say, with a slight edge in his tone, "Look, you may consider this training a waste, but to me, it means the world! And not just because i'm some random damn saiyan who likes to get his hands dirty once in a while, it's because i'm actually different from that kind of mindset. Hell, i've fought people of my own race who are complete maniacs and yet I haven't swayed from the path i've taken for myself. You may not be a fighter, you might not see the same thing I see, but I don't care what you think. There are other people with the same ideals of mine, and so I won't let one person judge me just from what they think. I bet you used to think these things too, but something changed, and now you're in this steaming pile of fire and death people call Hell. So don't even start about that bullshit, I made my choice, and I don't regret it either." When he finished, he took a deep breath and sighed. Conan had a lot of built up aggression within himself, and he blew off a little steam by yelling at Greeve. But, as he wasn't a kind of person to hold grudges on first glances, he would apologize to Greeve, saying, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean most of the stuff I said. It's just that I've been through a lot of things, and I still have a bit of a chip on my shoulder from those events." He'd then sit down, and wait for the rant Greeve would retort back at him.

Greeve floated there in silence as Conan went on his little rant. Apparently Greeve had hit a nerve in the Saiyan, not that Greeve really cared. Once the young man had stopped, he even apologized for what he had just said. A strange being. Though it seemed he was waiting for a retort, and Greeve would give him one.
"Why should I judge you? After all, you're acting in accordance to your own race. You merely have different reasons for gaining power than others of your kind. No, my issue is that even though the gods deemed you worthy enough of eternal reward, you decide to throw that generosity back in their faces. Not many people get to even enjoy that choice." The small cloud began to hover around Conan "For example, how many Namekians were granted the bliss of paradise after their world was destroyed? I would imagine such a peaceful race resulted in most of them. Enjoying the peace of Heaven, only to be then forcefully pulled back into the land of the living because someone had a guilty conscience. Now they're back in the land of the living, their planet ripe for more plundering, pillaging, and pain. Or perhaps the people of the Northern Capitol? After countless disasters, how many were granted heaven, only to be pulled back for more strife?"
The cloud stopped and changed directions, "But let's look on the other end of the spectrum. How many criminals, murders, and overall evil entities, were getting their just punishments in hell, only to be suddenly freed from that, allowed to go back to their cruel activities?" Greeve had made his way back to Conan's front. "Death is supposed to be something sacred. But there are those, so called 'heroes' who pervert it, dashing it aside for their own means." During this time, Greeve's voice had remained completely level, completely devoid of anger or any emotion.

Conan sighed. He was just like one of the other people he had met down here. 'oh well,' Conan thought. 'He was sent to Hell, you really can't blame him for acting like a jackass.' Conan would then look at Greeve and make an unconvincing smile. "Alright. It was nice to meet you, Greeve, but I'm gonna go continue my little walk through the lower levels of Hell. I advise you not to go there for now, since you have no body. There are dangerous demons rumored to roam these lower levels. I usually fight them for training. So, I'm gonna go now. I'll see you around, Greeve." Conan would start walking on his designated route to the lower levels. He'd spare one last pitiful look at Greeve, and continue down.
(Thread was getting a bit boring, so I wanted Conan to leave. If its okay with you, Greeve. I want PL please.)

Was that pity the cloud saw in the Saiyan's eyes as he turned to leave. Why did he have pity on him? If anything, the demon felt an empty sense of pity for the Saiyan. After all, his own lust for strength, his misguided views and his senseless desire to protect are why he'd stuck in hell in the first place. It was clear his words had fallen on deaf ears, but by this point, Greeve didn't expect anyone to understand. The allure of life was so strong it covered up its flaws, its pain, its misery. Death had been protrayed as something frightening for so long, when really it was the ultimate release. Only the wicked had a reason to fear death, and so far Hell wasn't as bad as people were making it out to be.
But Greeve didn't have time to dwell on him. In the grand scheme of things, he was unimportant. Greeve had to get his body back, get stronger, and return to the land of the living, so that he may continue his work. He could feel the energies of the Afterlife flowing through his incorporeal form. He had to find a way to use it to regain his form.
