It was finally time...
The sound of leather boots flopping back and forth in an uneven manner atop a smooth tiled filled the air as Scampi Shrimp moved about the Sacred Lookout. The young, lilac-haired, farmboy had stepped in a combination of a nervous pace and a limp as he kept his gaze away from the lookout's entrance. Sitting idly by near him was a rather large figure covered head to toe in a hooded cloak. While the boy seemed to externalize his worries in the form of nervous fidgets and constant movement the figure contrasted him as it remained still, presumably internalizing it's thoughts on the situation. Both however seemed to jump out of their skins as an agonized cry managed to slip free from the Lookout's entrance.
"Gosh, I reckon Maeve's going through a lot..." The southern drawl of the young man rolled off his tongue. He clasped his arms around himself as he fought back a shudder. "I really hope she's alright, I'm sure Ma and Akemi are makin' the best of it for her but still... It's worrisome. What do y'all think stranger?" He asked looking to the cloaked figure, giving it a nudge on the shoulder when it seemingly brushed him off.
"...She's stronger than you give her credit for." A curt but distinctly feminine tone responded, betraying the size of the figure. Scampi would catch the faintest hint of a golden flash come from the hood as she cut a glare his way. "I didn't come out of concern, I know she'll be fine." She crossed her arms before leaning back against an apple tree and casting her gaze upward. "You fragile mortals needn't worry for a demon let alone a god." She clicked her tongue as a strange sense of pride seemed to lace her words.
"Fragile?!" Scampi growled, fuming a bit. "Cause I care bout Maeve? Naw! I ain't fragile! Yer just cold blooded!" He punctuated his accusation with a thrust and a point. A spark darted between their eyes before both of their attentions where cut back to the lookout as yet another pained grunt caught their attention.
"...I hope she's okay." The figure muttered under her breath.

[Thread PL: 345,140 | Enlightenment (x16P) Active! Current PL: 5,522,240!] "Crap crap crap! I'm late, I know it!"The frantic Former Guardian shot through the sky like a bullet, his ghostly Ki aura leaving a cloud-like trail behind him as he sped towards the Lookout. In his hands were a stack of baskets, filled with toys and clothes for a new-born baby. The stack was almost as tall as an Oozaru. How it wasn't being swept away by the winds due to Bing's high speed were a mystery to everyone. As the Lookout came into view, his senses told him quite a few people had gathered upon the floating plateau, and by his estimate there would be at least a few more on the way. He tripled his speed, causing him to accidentally over-shoot the Lookout by about a good mile. Skidding to a stop in mid-air, he'd spin in place, before rocketing back towards his destination. In just a few short moments, he'd land on the Lookout, causing a massive cloud of dust to shoot into the air around him upon his rather harsh landing. He took a few shallow breaths, placing the stack of large baskets filled to the brim on the ground next to him. Bing took a deep breath, placing his hands on his knees as he bent over to regain composure. As he returned to a standing position, he noticed those who'd arrived. The distinct Ki of a demon coming from the hooded figure betrayed the anonymous persons connection to Maeve, but the strange farmboy was a mystery. He waved to the two awkwardly, before coming forwards. "Hello strange boy and sister-in-law! How's it going? I didn't miss it did I?"His senses told him he was early, but it never hurt to be polite and ask.

Kais above how much is that guy carrying?!" A rogue bag full of various baby clothes and other related items had almost flown into Defrosch's face as he followed Bing. Thankfully before it was lost to the world below, Defrosch's good friend Cerci had gracefully caught what looked to be the fourth bag of stuff so far. "Dunno, but it seems we've salvaged all of it! Lets get a move on!" The duo had noticed Bing rocket past Fukurou Forest, where they were investigating yet another lead on some mystical treasure, it was a small lead, but a lead nonetheless. Either way, they would make it back to the Lookout in time for the biggest event since Shenron's summoning a few days prior. The two landed off to the side mere moments after Bing. Waving away the cloud of dust, Cerci gently placed the dislodged bags next to the massive pile that Bing brought. "Crikey, how'd you manage to buy all that? This kid of yours is gonna be absolutely set if you're working with a budget like this." She rested her hands on her hips whilst getting a decent look at the pile. Defrosch on the other hand, eyed the farmer lad and the cloaked figure curiously. They were at the very least friends of Maeve, or they wouldn't even be here, but one could never be too cautious. Bing confirmed the familial tie that the large cloaked individual had, and it made sense; their ki was similar enough to reach that conclusion... Their height in comparison however, less so. "I'd imagine you'd know if you missed out on your own kid being born, dude." Defrosch rolled his shoulders, somewhat impatiently... The vibe of this gathering was vastly different from that of the wish. Both were tense, yes... But this was something else. 'I wonder how shes doing...'

Etoru walked out of the palace anxiously. He knew what was going on and decided it'd be best to distract himself with coloring or something. Though, he knew it wasn't going to work. Not with all those screams that appeared every now and then. What had him confused was seeing two strange faces. "Uh...are you guys doctors...you sure don't look like doctors..." The child asked nervously. It wasn't long before Defrosch and Bing came about, followed by Cerci.
The boy looked at all the baby supplies in his hands. He narrowed his eyes, a bit of envy taking over. "All he got me was a stupid gi..." The boy thought. "Guysss....she doesn't sound very good...I'm worried...why can't we go inside and check on her...??" He pouted, slumping his arms. "Just a peek...!" He whined.

"Howdy Y'all! I'm Scampi Shri-"
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"
The towering figure shouted, cutting off the farmboy as she removed her hood to reveal her scaled, pointed ears, soft but scarred face, pale gold eyes, mess of pink hair, and her sharp headfins. If there were any doubt that she was a Rakshasa there was little remaining. She stomped toward Bing with a glower as her eyes sparked with fury. "I ought to punch you off this platform for doing this to my sister! Leaving her heavy with child only to disappear!" She snarled clenching her fists fighting back every urge to sock the grinning idiot before her. "Then to top it off you show up late! If you think you're going to ruin my niece or nephew you've got another thing coming! You got that?!" She snapped, stomping her foot to punctuate her frustration with the former Kami.
She stopped however as another cry from Maeve practically shook the lookout. Bridget's headfins sunk to the sides of her face as she looked to the entrance. Her worry and concern for her little sister were no longer hidden by the hood making it apparent to everyone just how taxing the situation was on the towering demoness.
Scampi meanwhile moved beside Etoru and pat his shoulder almost like an older brother. "Don't worry partner! My Ma is in there with her, she's pretty experienced with this sort of thing I'll tell you hwhat." The southerner said giving the younger boy an enthusiastic thumbs up.
"Helping Farm animals is much different than helping a demoness you idiot." Bridget snapped, once again glaring at Scampi as she redirected her frustrations. "That's why Akemi is in there to help as well!" She grumbled, crossing her arms in a huff.
"S-suppose yer right..." The young man stammered as his confidence wavered. He scratched at his lilac mop of hair awakwardly and looked about.
He blinked however as he settled his gaze on Defrosch. "W-What in tarnation is Lady Rime doing here?!" He yelped, jumping about a foot in the air despite his limp. "Wait no. Y'all ain't Rime...What in tarnation are you doin here spaceman? Come fer revenge while Maeve is weak?!" He snapped readying his wooden blade just in case.

Bing's bright smile was wiped away when Bridget's furious voice rang out. She lowered her hood as she chastised the former Guardian, only to receive a barking at from Bing in return. "Hey! I didn't mean to get killed and turned into a cyborg against my will! It took me a long time to get out of that situation, and if you haven't noticed, the reason I was late is because I had to pick up presents and I don't even know if it's a girl or a--"
Maeve suddenly let out an earth-shattering cry, throwing Bing's focus out of the window. "Boy! I wish I could help somehow... There's got to be something..."
The Soon-to-be Father barely noticed Defrosch and Cerci's arrival. The duo had picked up what bits of Bing's mountain had fallen away, which he was quite thankful for. He turned to Cerci, explaining how he came across such immense fundage. "Well, they used my likeness in a video game a while back. I guess it got pretty popular, so they keep leaving bags of money at my doorstep."
He paused, staring at the two curiously. "I, uh... I don't think I've met you before, miss. Are you two... uh... Together?"
Bing simply stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do with himself. He wasn't needed inside, but what was he doing outside? The best he could do was wait, and that was excruciating. He could sense the wildly pulsating Ki from his fiancee, as well as the monstrously powerful Ki coming from the child that was yet to be named.
He sat next to the pile of toys, shoulders slumping in worry. His mind was lost in thought, wondering about too many things.

Both Defrosch and Cerci gasped somewhat mockingly as Bing caught one hell of a vocal reprimanding "Oooh, busteeeeddddd!" The two snickered quietly while looking towards the human before giving Etoru an enthusiastic wave. "Hello, Etoru! How’ve you been?" Cerci gave the boy a short bow in greeting. "Maeve will be fine, I’m sure of it~"
Defrosch ultimately couldn't contain himself and burst out into full on laughter, seeing the others scramble and panic on such a momentous and positive occasion just felt odd to him. "Dheheh, oh, sheesh, sorry, sorry. Its just-- I reckon you’ve just gotta put a bit more faith in em, thats all." After calming himself, his gaze fell upon the towering dragoness that was apparently Maeve's sister of all things. "Well hes here now, isn’t he? Don’t you see the massive pile of things he went out and got to prepare for his kid?" The Arcosian gestured to the aforementioned pile somewhere behind him, which gave an uncharacteristically ominous creak under its own weight. "... Though I suppose it might be a bit much. It's the thou--" Giving the farm-boy a disappointed stare after being interrupted, he didn’t fully register what the guy was saying. "It's the thought that counts." He would repeat slowly and more audibly, clearly more bothered that he was cut off than much else.
Now with his attention on the lad, Defrosch folded his arms looking between the wooden training sword and the boy’s face. Perhaps the two met and bonded over the shared fascination for swordplay. Defrosch briefly entertained the idea that Maeve might tutor people in the ways of the sword, she certainly seemed the type that would. "I'd ask ya the same thing, but y'know, I'm thinking you're a friend of Maeve's, cuz why would ya be here otherwise? Also, Maeve? Weak? As if."
'Ohhh, he must be the Serpent Master EX guy.. Huh, neat.' Cerci shrugged at Bing’s comment while Defrosch was busy. "Oh yeah, sure. As together as people that are currently occupying the same vague amount of space at roughly the same time." The mysterious magic hunter would give Bing a more formal bow, having only met him for the first time. It was a gesture that indicated a very disciplined or perhaps royal upbringing. "I am Cerci Garyl, current master of the Cricket Martial Arts school. Defrosch has told me a fair bit about you, Bing. I hear you have origins within the Serpent Style. It is quite rare to find people that have knowledge of that discipline much less an actual practitioner."

"I've been...good...I guess." Etoru muttered to the elderly woman in response with a glum tone. He continued to stare at the door worryingly. She seemed like she was in so much pain! And all they could do was just stand outside and wait. It was so stupid. Besides that, Etoru didn't know how people had babies, but if it hurts so much why do it? It didn't make any sense.
The tall hooded figure suddenly yelled out at Bing's arrival. Etoru blinked, staring at the scene confused before he noticed something. That tall lady looked just like....another terrible scream coming from the room. Etoru frowned and anxiously stared at the door. He sighed, slumping his arms a bit before he felt someone pat his shoulder. The boy turned his head, looking up towards the farm boy. He felt slightly reassured, but his reassurance was swept aside pretty quickly when that tall, Maeve looking character, corrected him. The boy decided it was best to distract himself and just hope for the best, and so he did. "Erm....do you...know Ms.Maeve? You look a lot like her..." he muttered.

"Listen spaceman as fer long as ya ain't gonna hurt Maeve we'll be peachy as pie." Scampi said with a near pout as he sheathed the wooden training sword. He turned away defiantly as he scuffed his boot against the ivory tiles and limped beside Bing. The young man sighed softly as he plopped down beside him. The farm boy threw his head back as he took a look up at the blue sky.
"So y'all are the Pop right?" Scampi asked looking aside to the silver haired young man. "We never been introduced. I'm Scampi Shrimp, me and my family took Maeve in before she got..." He waves his arms around as if to encompass all of the lookout in his wide sweeping declaration. "...All this."
Bridget's fiery gaze turned on the boy now as he spoke up to her. The sight of the child caused her glare to soften only slightly as she looked him over. "We look similar little whelp, because I am her older sister." She explained, flicking her tail a bit as she tried to relax a bit. "I am Bridget of the Rakshasa clan, and I..." She paused suddenly as she turned to the lookout. her headfins shooting up in alarm.
"...It's gotten quiet."

Bing's attention turned to Cerci for a few brief moments. He had heard of quite a few schools from his father, but the Cricket school was, admittedly, something he'd heard little about. He smiled at her, his worry dissipating slightly. "It's good to meet a fellow master of the fighting arts. I'm honestly a bit surprised you'd even heard of the Serpent Style before Defrosch told you. Its reach wasn't very long before it was lost to time." The Serpent Master relaxed a bit, his slumped-over posture lessening in extremity. "Perhaps one day we can spar. I'd love to see what the Cricket School has in store."
His attention was caught by Scampi, who'd sat down next to him. The boy was scrawny, but he seemed to have a lot of courage despite this. His Ki was strong as well. Much tougher than the average Human. Bing smiled at the boy, nodding to answer his question. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Shrimp. I'm Bing Gan. I used to be the Guardian of this place before I uh... Died." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Though he tried to think of something else to say, his focus was taken away when Bridget spoke.
He noticed it only a few moments after Bridget did. There was no screaming, whaling or any other loud noises. It was deathly silent. Bing's mind raced in a million different directions at once. Was Maeve alright? Was the baby alright? Was there more than one baby? Bing's breath caught in his throat as he stared at the doorway.

"Aw, c'mon, chin up, Etoru~ Like I said, Maeve will be just fine." Cerci smiled at the youngster before looking to Bing.
"Well, yeah. Admittedly, I didn't get to know much besides the rise of popularity after the 2750 Tenkaichi Budokai and the sudden... Well, disappearance. Grandma didn't really say too much, but she sure as heck payed attention to the world of martial arts, there were a scarce few whispers floating about too. Other than that, yeah--" Cerci pointed over her shoulder with her thumb at Defrosch. "-- That dope told me what he knew, and I gotta say, I'm pretty interested. I'd love to have a sparring match some time when you're free."
Defrosch on the other hand tilted his head slightly at Scampi. Spaceman? Really? That was pretty low-tier on the insult-o-meter, to the point where it was almost endearingly funny. "I wouldn't dream of it. She is a friend. Though... You could stand to use your manners and properly introduce yourself instead of suddenly berating someone for something as superficial as their appearance. I can already tell there is more to you than what I see. To that end--" The Arcosian gave the purple haired lad a short two fingered salute. "-- If you haven't heard already, my name is Defrosch, though I am not of this world my kind are not known as 'Spacemen', we are Arcosians." Defrosch leaned over lowering his voice somewhat, almost to the level of a whisper. "I will admit though, my people aren't exactly known for being very nice, I guess I'm something of a statistical outlier or whatever."
Straightening up once more, Defrosch simply leaned on a nearby entrance pillar, patiently awaiting for the ordeal inside the lookout to be over. Concerns flared up among the group. Bridget stared down the door, and Bing was almost ready to flip out of his skin. Though he was also concerned, Defrosch was still an observant individual. While the others panicked, he did what he did best and sharpened his senses further than normal, focusing primarily on the inside of the lookout...

Etoru flinched a bit as Maeve's sister's eyes locked onto his form. It was just as intense as Maeve's glare...! And if that didn't prove them to be sisters, the insult shot at him just proved they shared the same blood! "I'm not a whelp..."[/i][/b] Etoru grumbled. However, she seemed to be on alert and pointed out the obvious, which of course, Etoru didn't really realize until now. Silence lingered in the air. --- Shorty...sorry for the wait. In the absence of the screams a hush washed over the lookout. It was only a moment or so but both Bridget and Scampi stared toward the entrance for what felt like an eternity. In reality, just a few seconds would tick away before the sounds of footsteps came from the Lookout's entrance. Soon, a familiar fox demon would emerge. She smiled from ear to ear as she formally addressed the group.
"He-llo Everyone~"
She rolled her greeting out in a sing song voice. It was as if she were completely at ease despite the tense atmosphere of stress and worry that seemed to permeate the otherwise sacred lookout. Perhaps that was one of the perks of being ancient. Still, even despite her apparent lax attitude she seemed to be moving quickly. She didn't waste time on pleasantries or words. She moved to Bing and took his hand into hers. "She's requested to see you first..." She simply said.
...Before placing a hand on Etoru's shoulder.
"...And you as well mister Etoru." She teased the boy giving his shoulder a little squeeze before pulling Bing and pushing the boy toward the entrance. "Come come! We can't leave her waiting!" Her smile only seemed to grow as she started dragging them along into the shaded archway.
"W-wait!" Bridget called out, holding up a clawed hand stopping the kitsune's progress. The blonde demoness looked back to the towering dragoness with her emerald eyes.
"Is Maeve alright?" Bridget asked, concern betraying her normally hard and intimidating features. "Don't just leave us hanging here not knowing!" She growled, her fiery persona returning in an instant. The lax attitude the elder demoness seemed to rub her the wrong way.
"Oh!" Akemi blinked before flashing a smile. "The mother and baby are both healthy. There's nothing to worry about but we can't all swarm in. Respect her wishes and wait okay?" She nodded her head once before turning once more to the entrance.
Bridget let out a relieved sigh before stepping away. Scampi meanwhile, took this time to turn his attention back to Defrosch and his companion Cerci. "I'm powerful sorry Spaceman! Y'all misunderstood." He scratched the back of his neck while showing off his missing tooth with his full grin. "The Shrimp folk practice them ideals of Southern Hospitality and what-not most the time I tell ya hwhat! Sure as spit we are loyal like a mule with a carrot y'all understand?" He laughed, swatting Defrosch on the shoulder with his full force. "Some bad 'Cosian folk came round tussled with me and my pa before shootin' me with one of them laser fingers ya hear? Now I'm still walkin' with a gimp and actin jumpier than a jackrabbit on a griddle when seein' y'all lookin' like her!"
He rubbed his nose with his finger as he looked aside. It seemed the boy was more than willing to trust the Alien after that simple correction. He was already ready to be friends with the stranger.

Bing's apprehension and fear subsided at the sight of Akemi. The godly fox was always a good sign, and her jovial nature brought his anxiety down even further. The tailed woman moved forwards, asking for Bing to accompany her back inside. His voice caught in his throat, but after a brief moment of pause, he found the right words.
"... Let's go."
He followed behind Akemi, a slight smile on his face.

'Hm. All is well.' Defrosch remained at peace, giving Akemi a respectful nod when she emerged from the Lookout, but chose to remain silent otherwise. Maeve clearly requested that Bing and Etoru were the first to meet the newborn, and Defrosch wasn't going to disrespect her wishes.
Cerci on the other hand, decided to make a joke with our Arcosian hero. "What? You can just floop through the walls and you're not gonna just take a tiiiiny peek? I know for a fact you're curious~!"
Defrosch rolled his eyes, barely hiding a grin under his mouth-guard. "There shall be none of that. I can wait, and so can the rest of you." He gestured to Bridget and Scampi by spreading his hands outward. Scampi made an awkward apology, but it was an apology nonetheless. "Yahuh. Now don't you worry none, I get it." Standing fairly straight, even when the farm-boy gave him a whack on the shoulder, Defrosch quirked an eyebrow. Scampi wasn't bluffing, he was certainly stronger than the average human. "Maybe when you're in better shape we could spar, how 'bout it?"
