Bandages? Encapsulated. Senzu? Two beans total. Traveling cloak? Loose and concealing. Ki Sense? Properly functioning. Ki Suppression? ...Discomforting. Floating at an increasingly irritating pace, a certain hybrid Saiyan approached the Tenka'ichi Budokai grounds. This time, another accompanied this cloaked hybrid. A hue of forest green, that became partially tarnished by another similar hue...it practically clung to him. Brief conversation was made telepathically as the two traveled to their destination, however it wasn't of much importance. Small talk, at best. This hybrid wasn't one to mind the excess weight, however some particularly special cargo was shifting flight from a luxury to a chore. Eight months of mere waiting...their time was nigh upon the two. 'They've been kicking quite often, husband.'
'Likely that Saiyan DNA of mine, isn't it?'
'Surely, yes~'These two, one simply named Celmaru Waterfield, was a hopeful participant in this demon's tournament. The hybrid's guest, the seaweed woman Phae Waterfield, was a mere spectator. Given what Celmaru had viewed from the tournament's announcement, Ki Suppression was a necessity to prevent outrage...or perhaps even disheartened opponents. The majority of those that the hybrid had met were just about where he himself was just a few months ago. If he wasn't able to be fair in some manner, then shame would surely befall him. As the two descended upon the grounds, a brief breeze revealed the hybrid's black boots, even a trace of blue jeans. 'Be careful, husband~!'
'Of course, Phae.'The seaweed woman slipped away from her husband, only to lean in; pushing away the hood for a moment for a cheek's kiss. With that light push, the lower tip of a jagged facial scar would be visible...even a fragile grin. Staring as the "bloated" seaweed woman took flight, likely to sit among the potential crowd during this bout, Celmaru cleared his throat as he stepped towards the registry. Scribbling down his initials, evidently with a particular curvature within their letters, the hybrid was prepared to finally participate in this event.

'Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh,Boy, Oh, Boy--' 'Shush, Guardia, I'm trying to write.'
Chai, the goat warrior from another, very cruddy universe, and his demon-in-a-sword for a faithful partner, Guardia, had caught ear if this tournament. Wanting to improve their strength for the rather cliche cause of saving their world, the two fighters had signed up for the tournament, although Guardia was currently trying very hard to stay still in his sheath, since he would most likely have to pass as your everyday non-sentient sword to fight with Chai. It wasn't like Guardia could fight on his own- he needed a wielder! Chai was just finishing signing himself up, just going by his actual name unlike some people. First, Chai had passed a familiar blue female Arcosian- Polara. She was... familiar for some reason. No, it wasn't because he already met her a few weeks ago. Had he seen her in his universe?... The goat couldn't remember. There was a rather tall cloaked fighter as well, who Chai decided to avoid for now. Both of their powers were higher than his own. But together, Guardia and Chai were a formidable force! Or so they liked to think. Another Arcodian was nearby, this one with jet black bio-armor and silver gems. It seemed he was familiar with Polara as well! Fourth came--- oh. Oh...Levlidian! The man was obsessed with killing Chai back in his own universe- just looking at the saiyan sent a little chill down Chai's spine. No. This was not his Levlidian. This was not the same entity that hunted him down. And he had to recognize him as a different person. But for now, Chai did not want to initiate contact with the tailless saiyan. Next came a... saibaman? Things were getting stranger by the second! But the jovial little creature sent a long lost smile across Chai's face. It warmed his heart to see others have the happiness that was impossible in his home. Next up came another person that Chai couldn't identify. This one was strong too- too strong for Chai and Guardia to face right now. Still, the goat cocked his head to the side when the black haired man headed away from the group. Chai would take a seat next to Marcel, his one good eye facing the man while his missing one was concealed on the other side of his face. "Perfect weather for a tournament, no?" The goat spoke, folding his arms behind his head as he spoke to Marcel. "I saw you signing up a little while ago. I might be weaker than most of these people, but it would be an honor to fight someone as strong as yourself in this event." Chai spoke with a smile, trying to keep himself out of the dumps for now.
Looking back over to the gathering fighters, Chai noted the presence of another saiyan in black and yellow armor, along with an apparent human garbed in black clothes. Next came someone who Chai recognized- Duri! A faint smile spread across Chai's face, which quickly faded when the man spoke of a "20,000 and under club." And he registered himself as "Z!" And Guardia thought Chai was an edgelord. "Yoooo, Duri!" Chai called out his acquaintance by his name. "There is no Twenty-Thousand-And-Under-Club, silly goose!" Chai called in a somewhat mocking tone, just teasing the saiyan a little while still sitting next to Marcel. Chai chuckled to himself, closing his eyes before a familiar power snapped him back to reality. Collan! A smile spread across the goat's face when he recognized his dear friend's power. "Excuse me for a moment, I have to go greet my friend." Chai spoke to Marcel as he stood up, trotting over to Collan with a wave.
"Howdy, Collan! Long time no see!" Chai spoke as he approached Collan, coming to stop near him after his friend finished signing up. The hilt on Chai's belt shook a little as the goat sat down next to his friend, causing the goat to smile with a pair of closed eyes. "Looks like Guardia's happy to see you too. You're signing up as well?" Chai turned to Collan, a rare smile on his face. The goat was in a great mood, seeing everyone here so happy... "With my luck, I'm getting the feeling that the two of us are going to have that spar I was talking about earlier..." Chai spoke, stretching his arms up with a yawn. He hadn't got much sleep with his occasional nightmares, but the goat was going to train his ass off to ready himself for this tournament. "So, any training tips for a wee weak fighter like Guardia and myself?" Chai asked Collan. Sure, Chai knew how to train, but he wanted to see how and why this Collan was stronger than his Collan. While they were talking, another saiyan had arrived, along with a small child that also wanted to enter. Chai watched as the vendor begrudgingly allowed the boy to enter. Chai chimed up, directing a quick holler to little Tomoyo. "Wishing you luck, kiddo! There's plenty of strong folks here. Wanna train sometime?!" The one-eyed goat yelled, giving the boy a quick wave as well with a toothy smile. Last came another apparent human, although Chai sensed a trace of Saiyan inside him... This one was very weak, but Chai figured he was suppressing his ki- he could fly and was signing up in a fighting tournament, after all! But for now, Chai and his partner were just happy that everyone else was happy in this peaceful world....

(Thread PL: 10,479,701)
Vi-Poi had been watching the gathering storm of chi for a decent while now, and with the doffing a hood noticed something.
“So he is participating,” Vi-Poi mused to himself. Hanging prone from ten thousand feet up was no discomfort for the android – though he did present an odd view for the occasional passenger jet. Any passengers glancing out their little windows would spy a blue-haired teenager lying flat, peering over the edge of a fluffy white cloud. They wouldn’t find this denizen of the air wearing any cherubic robes -- he was in his Bombers’ cap, stonewashed jeans, scuffy sneakers, and a neon purple t-shirt from Electric Funk Armada’s New Sounds Tour ’03. A big battleship that looked a bit like a seaborne Big Blu was drawn on the front, sporting absurdly large cannons that were shooting out varihued music notes.
He was floating high above the Budokai grounds, his keen android eyes and 3D Scan Mode watching the ant-like fighters below, but there was one in particular he was paying attention to: the quiet Saiyan from the Lookout. “He’s hiding his power, but it’s him.” The other energy signals he detected weren’t near as high. The results of the tournament would be a forgone conclusion.
So what, we’re gonna spend our day fighting all those people? Aww man. I thought we were gonna go check out that new Majin Bros game!
“He’s probably a Super Saiyan. Walker must train with him.”
I dunno if he’s a Super Saiyan, but I know you’re Super Sucky for bringing us here. This isn’t even the official World Tournament! This is just some low-rent fight fest. Who even cares?
Ignoring Poi’s ghost, Vi-Poi flipped from the cloud and fell fast. The air whipped and whistled around him, howling in his ears as more and more of the white-tiled Budokai grounds came into view, the gathered crowd growing more distinct. He landed in the midst of the warriors, registering himself to fight, glancing at Celmaru when the spaces between them cleared.

It wasn't every day that some random schmuck called out for a tournament in the Budokai grounds, but Hinawa wouldn't be against this happening more often. She had snatched a flier up by sheer chance, and raced over as fast as she could - she was a martial artist, after all. Fighting was in her blood more than it was for even some Saiyans, and competition was one of the few things able to take her mind off of the increasingly complex relationship problems she had with Emer, Levlidian, Marcel, and a bunch of other people lately. Balancing a personal life was a lot harder than she remembered.
Landing with her usual unnatural grace at the site of the tournament, her sixth sense easily picked up Lev's energy in the crowd, despite how much he was suppressing it. There were literally tons of people here, some she knew, most she had never seen before - but their energies were all incredibly great. Well, apart from the guy who registered right before her, he felt like he had no energy at all - that couldn't really be true, though, right? Oh well, Hinawa Hyoukai entered her name into the tournament. This would be fun.

As the tournaments sign-ups came to a close, a certain grey-haired individual would jot his name down on the sign-up sheet just in time. He smiled happily, walking towards the tournament grounds to inspect the goings-on. Lots of people had shown up for the event, but who could blame them? The last time a tournament was held on the Budokai grounds, it was quite the wild event, or so Bing had heard. It was the ninth Centurrial Conference, and Oozaru apparently crashed the party. It was the main reason why the peace treaty between the empires of the galaxy fell to pieces. Bing had to wonder how things would have gone if the conference wasn't interrupted so suddenly. The Former Guardian arrived on the tiles, his eyes falling on Vipoi. A smile came to his face as he hopped towards his friend, landing directly next to the Premier. He gave the leader of the Blue Banner a playful salute, before speaking. "Yo! I'm surprised you're not at the launch for the new Majin Bros. I heard it's got some kind of hands-free controller thing as a pre-order bonus. It's beating Serpent Master EX: Turbo in sales by a fair bit because of that." His eyes traveled around the arena as he waited for Vipoi's response. A ton of powerful fighters were gathered here today, some of which were human's just like him. Perhaps one of them would be a future defender of Earth.

“Well, a lot of competitors. This ought to be interesting.” Tourit said, shuffling through the list of fighters. He looked at the cast of people that had shown up. “Well, new faces and old faces. That’s good. Guess I had better announce the first match.” Tourit grabbed a microphone and got onto the tournament stage to make his announcement. “Greetings, competitors, and viewers alike! I’m honored that so many could make it!” Tourit watched as the rather large crowd started cheering. He hadn’t expected so many spectators, and was both pleased and nervous. “The rules are simple: You win by either knocking your opponent out cold, or sending them out of the arena, and into the grass. No killing, maiming, or dismantling of your opponent’s limbs, and no weapons. The first match will start in around five hours, and will be between Vi-Poi and Hinawa! So, grab a comfortable seat and get ready to be blown away! Not literally, of course.” After finishing, Tourit rushed off the stage and into his small room in the stands where he could view the fights.”
(Each fight will be in its own separate thread. The first matches participants will get messages and will start at 6PM Eastern time today)
