As you're seeing the title, this thread's going to be dedicated to an idea Fleece came up with, in the process of speaking about making Light Weights free (seen here).
The idea of the weights, as was being talked of briefly in the thread, the weights would adjust between the amounts of 25, 50, and 75, to be represented by different articles of clothing! Now, the idea is that, for each article removed, for that amount of time, you recover some more of your power, but you lose the amount of gains shed off (obviously 3 tiers of this).
Its prospect would be that it would be slightly more expensive, as was being discussed again, but I personally don't see the reason for why these 'Full body weights' would require the increase, when they would be operating on the same idea as the rest.
However, if they had NO limits... Well, there'd have to be some number crunching there to talk about it. Going to be presenting a different option about this, to incorporate the difference.
Pieter's/Alaistair's/Koldar's proposal, with no limits and adjustability:
Light: Power is reduced by 12.5%, but only offer 6.75%.
Medium: Power is reduced by 25%, but only offer 12.5%.
Heavy: Power is reduced by 37.5%, but only 18.75%.
These items are seen is unusable, after hitting the 190,000 mark, and has been deemed a prospect to avoid upon getting a gravity chamber training level to above that! My proposal is to, 1) Remove the limit of weights, 2) Reduce their overall gains and the amount they reduce power level by half their current values, and 3) Permit the players to being able to use them with other items. Before it is dismissed, I'd like to introduce this mentality to gravity:
Players intending to use weights with gravity must adjust themselves to the weight in a previous thread before they can take those weights into the gravity chamber, and must adapt to the weight there!
What this will mean is, with the current 2 gravity chamber threads a week, if they wish to take their weights in with them. They must take their time to adjust their body to the new weight that they introduce on themselves in that gravity, before they can advance to their weighted training to the next stage of gravity for them. It is hard work to do for the characters.
