[Thread PL: 20,000 | Tekuma Mayakon ] Planet Konats was rapidly disappearing as they broke the gravity well of the arid world. Slowly, Freid turned the ship around so the cockpit no longer faced his homeworld, the ship turning to see the vast emptiness of space, dotted with singular stars, as he took a deep breath. So... It worked. The Epoch had taken him off of his homeworld... Now to see if the magically enhanced hyper-drive blueprints his father had left behind would work. Turning to the side, right next to him, Freid opened up the map of the galaxy he had. The coordinates had to be adjusted for galactic drift over 19 years, but... There it was. Earth, the blue planet! Entering in the coordinates slowly, the Konatsian nodded - his father's home, and the home of Tekuma, who was probably starting to experience a hangover right about now. With that somewhat scary thought, Freid suddenly became keenly aware how there was just vacuum out there, and if anything went wrong... Well, he wouldn't have much time to regret it. With the press of a button, the young man activated the hyperdrive. For the first time since lift-off, the engine hidden in the bottom of the ship began to hum louder, as it built up energy - and shot the ship forward through a sub-dimension, streaks of different colors flying by the cockpit window. A window was already next-to-useless for space navigation, but while they were in transit, it was less useful than a goldfish bowl filled with sand. Since they didn't explode just yet, Freid squeezed his way back to the ladder, climbing down back to the living quarters. "Alright, we're on route. Should take us around 8 hours or so."

Tekuma was snoring, fast asleep with a twitching hand as in her sleep, the hangover had yet to start but it sure in the hell would once she woke up. The little baby girl in the crib close by was beginning to wake up, sniffling a little as she didn't know where she was or where her mother, Denim was. It caused the hybrid child to cry, the crying soft at first but eventually loud enough to draw the redheaded woman out of her drunken stupor / sleep.
Female instincts kicked in as she sat bolt upright, quickly preparing Silk a bottle and scooping up the child. The child took the bottle, drinking it as the cyborg cradled her gently. Why.. Why did I agree to take the child of my enemy? I couldn't just let the poor baby die, she didn't deserve to die... Wait.. if my actions in the present affect the future, could I make the future a better place?

Freid was just about to get some shut-eye himself when he suddenly heard... A baby crying? Oh right - Tekuma had that child from her enemy still with her... The young Konatsian had no idea why, but he wasn't about to say that he understood humans. Or women. Or human women. Really, he was pretty sure that he understood RED better, and she was an android woman - scary to think about how he was a bit closer to understanding someone like that... With a quick trip down the ladder in the hallway, the young man reached the humming generator powering the ship - it gave off a soft, yellow glow - and the storage containers next to it. Not having a kitchen was probably a bit of a design flaw, as was everything being so cramped, but it wasn't as if raw materials to build a bigger ship grew on trees on Konats...
Knocking on the door slightly before opening it, Freid saw Tekuma taking care of the kid. "Hey Tekuma. We're on route, give it a few hours and we'll be on Earth. Given that the hyperdrive doesn't fail and my calculations weren't off, of course. But I doubt that we're jumping straight into a black hole." A bottle of water and some beef jerky - that was about the best he could offer her, so he did.
"Kinda forgot to add a kitchen to the ship when I built it, but we won't be on-board for that long."

Tekuma blinked as Freid entered the room, offering her a bottle of water and beef jerky. Her tail wrapped around both of them, lifting them away and setting them beside her in a fluid motion. "Relax, everything's fine." She replied, despite feeling the headache come on causing her to grimace, the baby in her arms burped quietly before returning to drinking the milk formula.
Her tail would open the bag of jerky, grabbing a strand and popping it in her mouth. The tip looked dangerously sharp, but for her the cyborg was just fine putting it close to her face. "You got any painkillers? I feel like I got hit with a human vehicle."

"I might have something that could help... Hang on a minute." Freid eyed the very sharp, very dangerous looking tail of the cyborg girl as she was eating and couldn't help but feel a slight shiver. Geez, RED didn't look half as scary even when trying to BE scary, and RED was a full android! All machine bits, nothing organic, yet she seemed less intimidating and inhuman in so many ways. But Tekuma was an alright person, even if she looked very scary at times. With a nod, Freid closed the door to the room and went right back down to his storage compartments. He didn't have any medicine, really, but at least some tea that was usually good at clearing someone's head after a night of heavy drinking - Tekuma only had that one very light drink, but apparently, she wasn't exactly good with holding her liquor.
It took the Konatsian a bit to find the tea leaves, get water to boil - he used the drive's excess heat for that - and brew it all in a can, but eventually, he made his way back up the ladder once more. Pushing open the door to Tekuma's room, Freid walked inside holding a tray with the still steaming teacan and a cup, which he sat down on the ground with a small sigh. "There you go. Black thorn tea, usually pretty good with headaches. Tastes bitter, and it gets worse if you let it cool off. That's the best I got, unfortunately. Some people apparently know healing magic, but it isn't native to Konats, so I never got a chance to learn it."

Tekuma placed the girl back in her crib, the baby now sleepy after having eaten all it's little stomach could handle. Just thinking about the kid made her heart soften, looking at the innocent being. Freid's ki was going everywhere, the cyborg tracking it with her internal systems. He came back with something that smelled god awful, making her stomach churn in response to the smell.
Taking the tea, she blew on it slightly and drank some, almost immediately regretting it as it horribly upset her stomach. Putting a hand to her mouth, she threw up in the nearest trashcan, shaking as she did so. Once her episode was over, she'd glare rather angrily at him. "That tasted like someone dipped a sock in a bucket of mustard and sprinkled it with shit!"

On the scale of 1 to disaster, this one scored a solid ten. Freid was scratching the back of his head as Tekuma glared at him, unsure what to even say to that. Well, for one, he'd now have to clean that trash can once they landed on Earth... That would be an annoying task, for sure. Taking the tea back, Freid couldn't deny that it smelled horrible, but he never had such trouble drinking it before.
"Well, this stuff usually works for me... Don't really have anything else, I'm afraid. Drink some water, lay down, or take a shower - bathroom is the last room on the right - if you still got the headache." Freid had just used his one and only real trump card for dealing with a hangover, and it most certainly didn't work. The rest of his suggestions really were nothing more than ways to distract oneself... well besides the water thing, that really could help.

Tekuma groned, still not feeling the best and a throbbing headache didn't help. A bang would occur, a small bottle of painkillers as the cyborg proceeded to take two of the small red pills. Grunting, it disappeared again as she looked at him. "Apologies. Is there a place to train by any chance? Both of us could use it and I have a feeling you've never gotten your lights punched out before."

"You really need to show me how you do that." With some awe, the young Konatsian mage watched as the demon simply summoned some pills from thin air. Wait, if she was able to do that, why didn't she do so right away...? Oh well. He had forgotten about his own spells more than once when they could've helped him out, so who was he to talk... But he certainly wanted to learn how to do it now. That should make him far more able to enhance and improve his ship... Being able to just create what he needed from mana, the magic form of life energy. Though he wasn't even sure if Tekuma used mana for her abilities or raw Ki - with her being a cyborg and all, it was impossible for him to tell.
"Well, I didn't have the materials for a true training room, but there's a big room in the back. I was planning on installing some ritual altar later - I heard of a spell to increase gravity to strengthen those under it - but I never found the right pieces to build it. Come, I'll show you." explaining the ship's layout, Freid walked out of Tekuma's room, and - after nearly falling through the hole leading down into the engine room and closing it with an annoyed sigh - he lead her through the main corridor to the back, where a rather steep set of stairs lead down to a larger room.
Possibly the only place in the ship that wasn't so small that it could cause claustrophobic reactions, the larger room just had some boxes stacked on one wall, which also appeared to be a sealed loading ramp in the back of the ship - otherwise, it was empty, the floor the same mix of metal plates fused together covering the cables and thick tubes that ran underneath to power the sublight engines in the back of the ship. Turning back around, he scratched the back of his head slightly embarrassed.
"Not the best room, I admit. We gotta be careful though, the outer walls here lead right into outer space - so no fancy Ki or magic attacks, or we're going to end up very, very dead. Exiting the hyperdrive by method of getting expelled from the ship into vacuum would distribute our atoms across multiple star systems." With a quick movement, Freid untied the sword from his belt and leaned it against a wall, before taking up position on one side of the room, raising his fists slightly awkwardly to take up a boxing-like stance.
"I'm not too used to fighting without a blade, but I didn't pack any training swords. I doubt that my sword could even scratch your cybernetics, but I don't want to hurt your organic bits. This thing is sharp enough to go through bone like a hot knife through blue Ocariin cheese."

Tekuma was a user of magic and raw ki power. a combination of the two allowing her to summon things and vanish things from midair. Following Freid, the cyborg was semi-nervous about leaving the sleeping baby alone upstairs; but followed regardless. The Konatsian began speaking, albeit his ki hinted at not being a full-blood, much like her own before she'd been restored by the Blue Banner. He spoke of not having enough materials for this and that, and soon they came upon a large room with boxes in the corner. "Relax. It's fine" The cyborg replied once the male sunk into a fighting stance, Tekuma's own fight stance was similar to that of a preying mantis' standby position. "Well, I'll teach you how to fight without one. Step one, DODGE!" The last part was snapped, not a yell but not a normal voice tone as she'd rush the Konatsian hybrid with the intent to roundhouse kick his shoulder. Freid Nietzo Sorry I got my ass banned, shall we keep going? Thanks for being patient.)

[ Tekuma Mayakon Hey, no problem. Let's continue this and please don't blow up my ship! ] Tekuma looked so fluid when she went into her stance! Was that really all the result of her cybernetics? Being able to be programmed with fighting styles, that had to be a great advantage... Though Freid was still queasy about the idea of cybernetics in general. Having metal as part of his body... no thanks! He'd have to learn the old-fashioned way, by getting it beaten into him. And yes, Tekuma was willing to oblige on that... Freid's eyes widened as she short forward. Dodge? How? Where to? What was he supposed to do after the dodge? Why was she so fast? And how was his footwork supposed to look? So many thoughts raced into his mind at once that he almost got a migraine right then and there without even having moved! First, understand the enemy's movement. That was the same with and without a weapon, right? She was going for a punch... no, a kick! He had to evade it! But how? Ducking under it wasn't an option, he'd just get kicked in the head if he tried that. So to the side, of course! Freid swerved to the right, trying to keep his fisticuffs up like he had been taught, but it didn't quite work out. Without holding a sharp piece of metal in one hand, his entire balance was off - and he quite literally tripped over his own feet, had to drop his stance completely and swing his arms around wildly to not just fall on his behind, and THEN got kicked square in the shoulder to add insult to injury, knocking the Konatsian Hybrid straight to the ground with a loud 'THUNK' as he smashed onto the metal plates. "...Ow."

Tekuma hovered in the air with her arms folded, for once she had quite the poker face and her eyes glared in a condescending manner as she gazed coldly at Freid. "Learn not to rely on your blade, for if it gets broken and you're reduced to this, someone could easily.." With that, she'd cut off and land on the ground, attempting to grab his neck with her cybernetic arm. Successful or not, her voice was a deadly whisper. "Kill you."
If she'd grabbed onto his neck, the hybrid would have let go and stepped back with her arms folded. Sinking back into her stance fluidly, she moved her hand in a bring it on type gesture. Her cybernetics were slowly becoming one with her willpower, her mind and soul. What could be achieved once machine and soul fused together one day? Regardless, her mind began to wander as she browsed youtube in her head.

Freid, laying on his back like a confused beetle, was utterly unprepared for Tekuma to suddenly snatch him at the neck. All that could be heard from him was a slight 'eep', followed by a docile and agreeing nod to her assessment of his skills. Yes, he was utterly worthless without magic or weapons, without both, all of his strength meant nothing! He was easy pickings without them, and after seeing that giant monkey rampage, the danger of getting killed seemed a whole lot more... well, dangerous and real.
Getting back onto his feet, Freid unconsciously rubbed his neck slightly. Tekuma could be utterly terrifying if she wanted to be! He had to focus. Taking his rather awkward fighting position again - he still had no idea what to do with his arms really, and his balance was ruined - Freid now went on the offensive, or at least what could be called 'offensive' from him without a weapon.
Which is to say, he tripped over one of the uneven parts of the ground, lost every last bit of balance he still had, and was basically more falling towards Tekuma than anything else, wildly trying to land a swing on her. But no matter how easily she would probably dodge this, Freid would most certainly faceplant right into the ground afterwards. Today just wasn't his day.

Tekuma was only partially paying attention, watching a video about cats through her access to the bluenet. As the days went on, her cyborg parts only proved to be more and more useful as time went on. The mecha part of her brain allowed her to use radio waves to telepathically speak with artificial creations such as androids, while her organic mind did the same for other organic-minded beings. He attacked her but to no avail, as she gazed blankly at him once he hit the ground.
"You.. really need to learn balance." The female replied, putting a hand to her forehead and sighing. Picking him up by the scarf, she'd set him upright and stance herself. "See the way my feet are? They're spaced out and tilted out from my body to make my balance more coordinated. If you don't have good balance, you could have problems with the equilibrium in your ear. It's a fluid that sloshes in a protective bone barrier which helps you keep your balance."

"I know how to balance, just not how to attack without actually holding something in my hands." grumbling, annoyed at himself, Freid got back onto his feet and dusted himself off. He was embarrassing himself completely here, this was just humiliating! Still, he did take a look at Tekuma's stance - getting shown up by someone so obviously younger than himself... Gah, he couldn't let this continue! Spacing his feet a bit further apart, he decided to try something - turning mostly his right side towards Tekuma, the rest of his body was turned away, while keeping his head turned to look at her. Standing sideways like this, his vitals were now completely protected from a frontal assault - his right hand uneasily tried to grab a sword that wasn't there. This was his usual stance for swordsmanship when not having to use both hands for the blade.
"Also, disarming me usually isn't easy, you know. I've learned swordplay since childhood. Same with magic. If it wasn't for my human blood holding me back, I'd be stronger than most people on my planet." He thought about Captain Carama, and how he could quadruple his power when required - it would be so nice to be able to do that too. But as it stood, he was weaker than a pureblood, so he had to make up for it. "Either way... Here I come!"
Suddenly doing a quick dash forward, Freid brought forward his right leg to close in as far as he could, attempting to hook her leg behind his own to pin her into place - then his right hand flew upwards, towards her chin. Normally he'd be going for an upwards slash now, but without a sword, it was instead simply a fist. Following that attempt, success or failure, he would then attempt to use his already extended right leg to attempt a leg-sweep on the cyborg. He simply had to fight as if he had a sword, even if he lacked one for now! His movements were still somewhat clumsy and not perfectly executed, but at least he wasn't knocking himself over this time.
