Callion thought about finding a new place to frequent. This forest, while beautiful, seemed to attract nothing but trouble. First a dragon, then a Saiyan and now a giant monster who was currently attempting to incinerate him.
Speaking of, Callion's teeth clenched from the pain, though he knew that if he hadn't flared up his aura, this fire would've hurt far more than this. Fortunately, Callion had made the perfect distraction, though this creature didn't seem all that difficult to outsmart. Callion's eyes were narrowed, though he could still see the swirling red flames that surrounded him, and with an upward tilt of the head, he spotted the faint outline of the bearing down on the creature.
Callion grinned, the pain of his seared flesh not being able to quell his satisfaction.
All according to plan.
Suddenly, Callion continued to dash forward, his white aura still around him, though now that he put less effort into defending himself from the flame, Callion's outfit and exposed skin suffered a heavy cost. Making his way to an area directly under the beast's jaw, Callion waited until he heard the impact of the human's assault before he made his move.
The creature had assumed the human was being much too persistent in not getting killed and redoubled his fiery onslaught, unaware of its impending doom.
Once the impact had been made, Callion brought back his own fist. He felt bad about killing this creature, but if he left it alone, it could begin harming other Earthlings, which wasn't acceptable.
Bringing his fist up into a shattering uppercut, Callion and Hazerru's assault served in ending the creature, though the after effect was rather messy. The entirety of the creature's head exploded from the two impacts. Brain matter and blood doused the two fighters. Bits of its skull and teeth, some fractured and some whole while flying at the speed of shrapnel from a grenade, would scratch at the two of them, not enough to impale their trained skin. Loose skin slowly fell to the now scorched ground, not making much of an impact. The creature's eyeballs bounced a bit before slowly rolling to a stop some twenty feet away. The creature's massive body feel to the ground with a resounding THUD!
Callion panted a bit, covered in blood and brain matter. The entire upper half of his shirt was gone the only proof that it was there being the singed edges of what now only covered his abdomen. His arms were a raw pink, and still smoking. His sweatpants, once a bit high on his waist now resembled shorts as they didn't even go past his knees anymore. A brown furry tail could be seen lolling out of the right leg of his now ruined pants. His right leg, once a fine tan, was now a bright pink, with some parts of his skin being gone entirely. Callion's hair was surprisingly unaffected, though his face told a different story. Most of it was now bright pink and smoking, with most of his right cheek lacking some skin.
Callion stood there for a moment, still panting, before turning around and heading toward a bush, that had been reduced to about an eighth of its previous size due to the creature. A rustling could be heard as Callion seemed to be searching for something in that bush.

With tightly shut eyes, Hazerru hoped for the best as his legs impaled the monster's thick skull with ease. The colliding forces of their attacks resulted in a violent, loud explosion of viscera, brain matter and other gunk. The force of their attacks sent a power shockwave through the jungle, blowing the leaves directly off of surrounding bushes. Below them, the earth rippled and cracked from the intense impact, reaching all the way to the surrounding river, resulting in a stream of water slowly forming inside of the fresh cracks.
Hazerru let out a disgusted wail as he dragged himself out of the bloody remains of the lizard beast. His clothes, face and hair were stained with its brain matter and reeked of acidic death. The young fighter gagged and coughed intensely as his exhausted body fell to the floor. Holding his mouth shut, e scrambled and crawled his face to the river and threw his head over the ledge. Disgusted by the intense, putrid smell and the soggy feeling of blood and death staining his clothes, Hazerru puked straight into the river, panting and teary-eyed.
A small moment passed with Hazerru simply hanging there, struggling to breathe properly with all the disgusting smells combining around him. ''This...is...THE GROSSEST SHIT...'' The boy puffed out inbetween difficult breaths. Slowly, he crawled himself back up on his feet, teary eyes glancing around quickly to find the stranger that risked his life to save his.
He found the guy struggling to find something in a bush, Hazerru slowly limping over as he clutched his shoulder which was probably dislocated. ''H-hey...'' He said in a pained tone, groaning as he crouched down and placed his hand on the stranger's shoulder. ''You- uh...You okay? You smell like burnt steak...'' Atleast the smell beat the disgusting rancid smell of brain matter and bile...

Callion heard the unsettled remarks of the human, sighing a bit in relief. If he was disgusted by something, that meant his trauma wasn't too severe. That's how Callion's logic assessed the emotional state of the Human. Whether or not it was true remained to be seen.
A moment later, Callion felt a hand on his shoulder and heard the Human ask if he was alright. Callion was touched by the man's concerned, though he was currently trying to find something which held much more importance than his broken body.
Callion continued to rustle through the bush for a few more moments before an "Aha!" escaped his mouth. Straightening his back, Callion would turn to the human, his right hand extended toward the man. In his hand was the Human's glasses. The spectacles were a little scratched up but still functional.
"And I kind of look like it to," Callion replied with a grin, the stench in the air and his copious wounds not seeming to have much effect on him. His furry brow tail flopped harmlessly behind his right leg.
Callion's grin was replaced with a sort of frown as he appraised the human's condition after the attack. Nothing looked permanently damaged, though the man's shoulder seemed dislocated.
After finishing his silent assessment, Callion said "You should get that shoulder looked at before something permanently damages it. I'd offer to fix it for you, but I'm no medicine man." Callion took a moment to let that sink in before smiling again at the man and adding with a pat on the man's good shoulder, "Also. Nice job there, I'm glad you understood the strategy so quickly. You'll make a fine warrior. Speaking of warriors, where'd that other guy go?"
Callion turned his head to look at the area behind him for a moment before turning back around with a shrug.
"Eh. Doesn't matter! You did a nice job out there...uh...dude." Callion hesitated with the term "dude" as he wasn't sure if that was an applicable term given the current circumstance.

The boy looked on in curiosity at the stranger's silence, trying to peek over his shoulder to see what he was looking for. Hazerru stumbled back an inch and removed his hand as the stranger found what he was looking for...
Hazerru blinked a couple of times in pleasant surprise with widened eyes as his glasses were presented to him. He slowly accepted the damaged and scratched piece of scrap with a soft smile on his face. Placing it on his head, he cracked a wider smile and let out a small chuckle at his comment. Now that he mentioned it, he really did look like crap...Almost like he had a severe skin disease or something. ''Pretty sure you could use a doctor more than I could...Seriously, looks like you went skinny dipping in acid.'' Hazerru laughed a little to himself at his own shitty joke, glancing toward his shoulder for a quick moment. Thank god this happened all the time while training with his father, it was basically muscle memory for Hazerru at this point. Clenching his teeth in mild stinging pain, Hazerru gripped his upper arm and forced his shoulder back into its socket, letting out a soft grunt from the pain. ''...You never get used to that...''
Then, the stranger said something that totally took him by surprise...Atleast, somewhat. A warrior? Seemed like this guy had the wrong idea about him. He visibly leaned backwards, holding his hands up and shaking them with slight nervousness. ''Whoah, hold on- I'm no warrior...! I'm just Human!'' He let out with a slightly shocked tone. Never was he actually considered or seen as a fighter by anyone, besides MAYBE his father. It was then that Hazerru saw the furred, brown tail slowly waving from side to side near the stranger's leg. ''...Unlike you, apparently.'' His tone was a tad softer, almost as if he was disappointed. Maybe subconsciously, he was. The Saiyans DID invade and nearly slaughter his race, so it wasn't entirely unjustified. Recalling just how amazing this guy had been, though, Hazerru visibly shaked his head, shrugging off the shallow judgements. ''Well, whatever. You saved my ass back there!'' The friendly smile had returned, Hazerru now extending a hand toward the guy again. Second greetings were in place, since the guy was oh-so-obviously lying to him last time. ''Now stop being awkward and tell me your real name. Mine's Hazerru.'' Hazerru kept his hand held out, waiting to be shaken by the stranger. .

Callion nodded with respect as the man put his own shoulder back into place, though in the back of his mind he wondered what exactly skinny dipping was.
As the human tried to deny his ability to fight due to his race, Callion's brow furrowed a hit. He looked a bit miffed about something.
"I don't mean to preach to you about anything, but the circumstances of your birth don't determine what you grow into during life. You can be anything you choose to be. No matter where you came from beforehand."
With that, Callion gave the man another smile, though it faded as he spotted the man's eyes look down at the young warrior's legs. Callion was a bit confused before he felt the brush of something furry against his right leg. The young warrior put it all together. His tail was exposed. Panic immediately began to set in. The human must've thought a thousand awful things about him!
Oh goodness! No! I'm not like them! I'm different! Oh goodness, what if those animals killed his family? No! I should leave! What if he wants revenge? I'm sorry!
Then the human shook his head and referred to how Callion had saved his life. Callion's increased heartbeat persisted though the worry began to dissipate. The human even smiled at him! He asked for Callion's real name while providing his own. Hazerru.
Cool name.
Callion awkwardly scratched the back of his head, giving Hazerru a grin of his own.
"Uh...I'm Callion. Nice to meet you!" Callion felt a strange sense of relief, as he reached forward and grasped and shook the man's hand, now that he didn't have to hide who he was. At least for the time being.
Callion let out a chuckle before his vision seemed to blur as he stumbled forward a bit.
"Woah. Okay. I think the adrenaline's wearing off. Which means these," Callion gestured to his various wounds, "are gonna start hurting again. Which means it's time to go." With that, Callion released Hazerru's hand and began to walk back toward the small clearing he was meditating in. Pausing for a moment, Callion added an afterthought to his previous statement.
"It was nice meeting you, Mister Hazerru. I hope we meet again!" Callion raised an arm in farewell but immediately pulled it back down with a wince. With a small chuckle, Callion continued on to retrieve his things, before taking off into the air, the wind pushing against his scars to cause quite a bit of wincing.
Later that day, around evening time, Callion had returned to the more forest like section of the Bamboo Forest. The stars were beautiful against the night time sky. Callion's body stung as he leaned against the oak. In his hands were a brown leather book and a small fountain pen. Callion cracked open the book to a fresh page and began to scrawl in a messy Saiyan script.
Callion's Log. Entry 5
Today was quite an interesting day. What were once plans to simply meditate turned into a struggle for my life, and a harsh lesson in being too curious. Although, my curiosity didn't directly cause the struggle. I was minding my own business, trying to achieve som self-reflection, when I heard voices coming from somewhere. Being curious, I came across a human and a Saiyan! I made proper introductions with them once my attempts at stealth failed. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this Earth vocabulary. I believe I even used the term "dude" correctly.
Moving on, after meeting them, I returned to my meditation when the sound of the Human yelling caught my ear. I returned to find the human being assaulted by a ferocious monster! I quickly saved him from a fiery demise, and working together we eventually felled the great beast! Then, the Human, who's name I learned to be Hazerru quickly discovered that I was not, in fact, an Earthling. But to my surprise, he didn't seem to mind me lying or my Saiyan appearance. And I believe I have forged a new friendship! Maybe I can see Mister Hazerru again someday and we can do things that friends do. Whatever those may be. I finish off this entry with optimism and hope.
Exit Callion from thread! PL please! Great job guys!

The boy still felt kinda uncomfortable at his formal teachings and philosophies, which, in his eyes, were completely unnecessary. Hazerru knew damn well who and what he was, also understanding that it was subject to change. Then Hazerru remembered that this guy was a Saiyan. While they looked extremely human, they were still aliens. A completely different species, with their own traditions and culture. Hazerru figured that this was just how Saiyans spoke to eachother, and that he'd have to deal with it. Which...After what went down earlier, he was completely fine with. Once the stranger had announced his name. Hazerru repeated it after him. ''Callion, sounds way better than 'Calvin' doesn't it?'' He remarked with a puffy laugh, letting go of Callion's hand. Callion gestured to his wounds, visibly seeming as if he was in a lot more pain than before. Hazerru nodded, signalling that he understood it completely. With how fucked up Callion looked, he was surprised that he WASN'T screaming in pain, guy must have had some experience on his belt...
''It's fine, I should leave too, honestly...Not staying here...Cause, you know...'' Hazerru pointed backwards with his thumb, gesturing towards the bloated, rotting corpse of the slain lizard. ''Don't want his friends after me wanting revenge.'' The boy then waved his new friend off, having trouble lifting his arm completely due to the intense pain still searing through it, most likely due to a couple of fractures in the bones. ''Yeah! Seeya 'round, Cal!'' To think that one of the first friends Hazerru made on his adventure, it'd be a Saiyan... The race he easily held the most shallow hate towards, he now befriended. To put it bluntly, Hazerru was a damn racist when it came to the tailed warriors known as 'Saiyans'. For years, he's seen them as ruthless, brainless barbarians who only kill for shits and giggles, only caring about power...And nothing more. Then again, after the invasion...Who could blame him?
This guy...Callion. It was just what he needed, really. A Reality-Smack to get reminded that you can't judge anyone by their appearance or race...A simple lesson, but one that was easily forgotten.
Hazerru now stood alone in the broken and charred battleground, glancing towards the beast that attacked them. He continued to stare at it for a while, still having a hard time believing what just went down. His mind drew a blank as he began to float towards the sky, sticking a hand down his pocket to see if his phone was still there. To his surprise, it was! With a few scratches here and there, the device was still intact. Hazerru used the black, inactive screen as a mirror, surprised to see the amount of bruises, cuts, and burn wounds present on his face. With a long sigh, he slid his phone back into his pocket, floating towards the closest city that had access to a hospital.
