It was a cool fall afternoon on Earth, and Melo sat on his porch looking into the view that he had. His house was built in the forest on top of a mountain, meaning that he had a lot of view that he could take in. Despite living in that same house for about 7 years, he never got tired of it nor it’s view. He also found something new to look at or something new to get sort of excited about. That was Melo’s true problem, he never really got excited about anything, yet when something came by that was actually exciting Melo tries to hide his feelings and act tough.
Today was just a normal afternoon to be honest, Melo had his cup of green tea to relax him, and a few biscuits set on his coffee table. All that Melo could see were trees, leaves, and a few animals here and there. He enjoyed listening to the sounds that the animals made and he could always listen to them and just feel relaxed. Yet, it wasn’t like Melo had anything better to do. He was a training slave, nor was he a social Saiyan. He had arrived to Earth about 8 years ago, and he never befriended a soul. All he did was do his own thing and live his own life. He trained here and there, but he was still pretty muscular, and pretty fit.
Times like these allowed Melo to just flash back to his past and think about all the fun times he had on Vegeta. He would think about his father, and mother working together for his benefit even though he was a trashy child at the time. He loved them and just wanted to seem them once more, he wanted them to come pick him up and take him back home. While he enjoyed living on Earth, going back to Vegeta was what Melo really wanted; deep down. He specifically remembered this one fight where he almost beat his father
“LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT! A FEW MORE ATTACKS AND YOU’LL BE DOING BETTER! MOVE IT MELO!”
There wasn't much Melo could do other than be annoyed. His father thought he was all that, but he was just a low class warrior. He felt the tension arise with this subject and wanted to tell him the hard yet honest truth. The idea behind is was te fact that his father just wasn't on the same level as Melo. While only 9 years of age, his potential was much higher than his father would ever reach.
He smirked at his old man and said out loud, "You got my statistics right? The fact that I'm on a whole other level than you Dad. You know that right?" Melo couldn't help but giggle, since he knew his father couldn't deny it. Yet what would come out of his father's mouth wasn't only shocking but also nothing but honesty. "You know what potential is right son. It means that you showed the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. Exactly what it means, realize the word future in there. Do you really think you can fulfill your potential without training? No son, you'll be as trashy as I am now if you don't train. And who would you train with? Nobody cares about a low class warrior family like us on Vegeta so I'm such training you; whether you like it or not."
That made Melo's smile turn into a frown very swiftly. He couldn't say a word, all he did was walk over to a training dummy and punch it with all his force. That resulted in it flying out of their backyard into a house about 20 miles away. His father was obviously shocked at the fact that he could make a dummy fly that far back. It was astonishing for a young one of Melo's age, which proved to him just how large his potential actually was. He was smiling yet Melo was still frowning, and his father decided to cheer him up.
"How about this son. We can finally have that training fight that you've been longing for. How about that? How does that sound."
Even though Melo tries to act tough and older, he still was a child inside, and hearing that he could finally spar with his father after asking him too for about 2 years lit his face with joy and happiness. He began to jump around, then realized what was actually going to happen so he began to stretch as well. He then got in his battle stance and got ready to fight his father. His father did the same and then they immediately went at it. The fight was very interesting as they were around tied in Power level, yet his father had the experience and the skill. Melo only knew about a few attack combos, yet when he father got him into his grip Melo could barely get out.
Melo was trashed throughout the fight, until the end where he got fairly mad of himself and his performance and finally decided to fight with his all. He stood back up and looked at his father in the eyes, gave him a smirk and flashed towards him. He then swooped him down with his legs and began punching him in the face from above. He was doing some work on his father, and he knew it. Then his father generated an energy ball and hit Melo in the stomach with it. That flew him away, and rendered him unable to fight.
"See squirt, you're still not strong enough. Just give it a few years, haha."
God were memories great to think about. Yet, by the time Melo was back to his present self he was tearing up just thinking about his parents. How he missed them and how he wanted them to come back. While he had doubts about whether or not they were still alive, he still had to believe. For his own sake.
