Only a short while ago, she had already told herself that she'd NEVER, EVER visit the Fortuneteller's Desert in the western region. Diablo Desert was already a disgusting place to visit because of the temperatures, and only something she did because of the people she knew... But well, you didn't get stronger by complaining about heat, you got stronger by training despite the heat. However, there were still limits to what a single Kitsune warrior could deal with... And this intense heat in the middle of the day was her limit. Thankfully, she had found this oasis to relax in a bit - clear water, some slight green vegetation next to it, even some palm trees.
The shade of the palm trees helped, at least slightly. Hinawa leaned against the tree with an exhausted sigh - her weighted clothes were cutting right into her arms and legs. They were a pair of detachable sleeves and boots, way heavier than a normal human could even move in, but for someone like her, they were just light training weights. With the heat came a lot of sweating, naturally, and that just allowed them to really cut deeply and being rather uncomfortable... but hey, there was a way out of that. And without much thinking, she just jumped into the slightly cooler water of the oasis, diving down deep enough so that only her fox-eared head was still above water. Yeah... This was a lot nicer.
Thread PL: 13,360 | Ki setting active, bringing PL down to: 1,000Is this really the best course of action? Rinsuji's voice went through Collan's head. "Of course it is! Why wouldn't putting myself through this make me strong enough?" Collan had been flying through the Fortuneteller's Desert, trying to find the perfect spot here to train. For a while, he's been doing any sort of training he can think of.
They did work, but he was doing them all to see which worked the best, the current one he's trying...putting himself through torture while he trains. He had decided the unbearable heat of a desert would be good enough to count as torture. So, he came here. But suddenly, he'd come to a halt.
He had actually started to sense another energy here. Perhaps someone who also came here to train? Maybe someone who's lost and had the miss fortune of not being able to learn how to fly. Never the less, Collan had began speeding towards the source of the energy to find out who it was.
Once he had gotten to said energy source, it seemed to be a young girl. Her energy screamed human, but they looked quite...peculiar. The had certain parts of them that are like that of an animals. Is this what happens when a human and a Zoan breed? He flew down, looking at the girl. "Why hello there! Do you happened to be lost?" Collan usually was quick to greetings, and this person didn't look too bad. So he just went ahead and asked the question.
Was that a larger power source approaching her? As Hinawa let out a content sigh in the cooling water, her senses began to pick something up. They didn't work exactly in the same manner as the senses of normal martial artists - she more sensed the change in the air, the possible danger, and put it in relation to her own strength, like a wild animal or predator might. And to those senses, the power approaching her was basically a drop in the bucket, barely noticeable to her at first, though she quickly noted that to a normal human, that power was already horrifyingly strong. So most definitely either a martial artist or one of those super-strong aliens...
Whoever this person was, they immediately approached the Zoanthrope woman. Looking up at him, she shook her head slightly with a short smile - what a kind guy, actually being worried about a stranger. The world would probably kick that out of him soon enough, but for now, she'd be nice in return. Not everyone had to be as jaded as her, after all. "No, I'm not lost. Just underestimated the heat, that's all."
With a rather large yawn that she didn't even try to hide, Hinawa rose back out of the oasis, landing on the sand next to it with supernatural grace. She was dripping wet from head to toe, but that really didn't matter to her - the heat was going to dry that off soon enough, after all. "Thought I'd cool down a bit here. I tell you, one hundred pushups in this heat is already too much... Really, this place is utterly worthless for my purposes. Anyway, I'm Hinawa Hyoukai - and you are?"
Well contrary to what Collan thought, this person wasn't lost. This girl would introduce herself as Hinawa, appearntly they had the same idea as Collan when it came to training. "Well, if we're being formal and using our last names as well, I am Collan Vixen. Also, if you think 100 push ups in the heat is bad, try 100 push ups with multiplied gravity. Almost broke every bone in my body from how quickly I fell onto the floor."
He decided to sit down, looking around while he talked. "Man, most of this place just looks the same as every where else in this region of the world." Agreed Rinsuji added I'll just be going for now And just like that, Collan could no longer feel the presence of his old friend in his head. Hinawa Short post is short.
