The demoness nodded in brief greetings to the nurse. She opened her mouth to explain the situation, but the nurse had already seen Capper and was leading them to the emergency room. Good. the less delays, the better. she thought, pleased that the nurse was more concerned with helping her friend than interrogating them Jormungandr nodded to the nurse and turned to get Capper's armor off of him just in time to see the little saiyan collapse. her eyes widened, and she picked him up, hurriedly removing the armor and tossing it to the side as she rushed into the emergency room. she quickly glanced around before setting him atop the light blue blanket. As she waited for a doctor, she paced nervously, frequently looking back at Capper. "Those damn doctors better hurry up...." she muttered to herself. |

Capper was still barely conscious, but he felt... naked, for some reason. Maybe it was because his armor was taken off, something he had not fully processed yet. Soon enough, several doctors walked into the room, eyeing the small saiyan, startled murmurs and gasps about his condition being tossed between them. Capper weakly opned his eys while sprawled out on the bed, weakly trying to stand back up. One of the doctors walked over to Jormungandr, dressed in a white medical coat with a stethoscope around his neck. "I assume you're this child's legal guardian, miss?"
The doctor spoke, waiting for a confirmation. Flipping some papers on a clipboard while Capper fell back onto the bed while trying to stand up as the rest of the doctors began pulling out some syringes and medical tools, the leading doctor spoke once mor to Jor. "We're just going to need you to fill out a few forms and sign a few papers in the waiting room, we're going to need some space to study this child's conditions and operate on him. Please, follow me."
The doctor would then escort Jormungandr out of the room, guiding her back to the waiting room. While jormungandr would be signing her name on some papers, the doctors had began to knock the little saiyan on the bed out so they could operate, lifting up his limp arm and pointing a syringe full of a purple liquid towards it. "Alright, steady now, you're going to want to hit a vein with this..." A doctor spoke towards a surgeon in training while he had began to get ready to jab the syringe into Capper's arm. The saiyan opened his eyes weakly before they snapped open with a startled jolt when he saw the suspicious people with masked faces and the syringe pointed right towards his arm! Instincts kicking in, Capper's limp body stirred to life as his saiyan urge to survive kicked in, giving him some strength to move. Pushing aside the pain, Capper let out a shrill yell as he began to flail in the grip of the surgeons. "H-hey! Hold him down!" One spoke, all of them trying to pin the saiyan back to the bed. Slipping out of their grasp, Capper fell of the bed while the doctors clamored, trying to get the weak saiyan unconscious with the syringe so they could operate on them. Before it could be injected, Capper threw his arm forward, a ball of orange ki forming at the palm of his hand. Having summoned his own ki in desperation, the mechanic launched the orb at the vent shaft, causing the cover to break!
"S-someone stop that kid!!" Before the doctors could grab Capper, the saiyan dashed into the vents, quickly scampering around the corner with the pitter patter of his arms and legs brisking against the metal. Capper's earlier scream had probably got Jor and the doctor's attention. By the time they would enter the room, the saiyan was gone and all the doctors were clamoured around the smoking vent, clearly hit by a rather weak Ki blast. The leading doctor inhaled deeply, peering down the vent to see the saiyan crawling in there, rounding a corner and disappearing. "Oh... Oh kami. This has never happened before." |

Jormungandr sighed with relief as a doctor approached them. When asked if she was Capper's legal guardian, she shifted slightly. "well... no. He's an orphan." she explained, then added, "And he's not a kid." As she spoke, she frequently glanced at Capper. When handed the papers, she shrugged and skimmed through them, proceeding to sign anything she thought she had the authority to sign.
She winced as the doctor explained that they needed room to operate, and requested that she follow him, though she did not openly object. She was reluctant to let Capper out of her sight while he was in such bad shape, but knew that she could not help him, and so she followed the man out of the room, taking a seat in the waiting room and resuming her examination of the forms.
A yell sounded from the room Capper was in, and Jormungandr bolted out of her seat, rushing down the hall before anyone else even realized what was going on. When she saw the situation, she groaned, quickly discerning the basic gist of what had happened. "He usually can't use his ki... his fear must have made him desperate..." she muttered, then swore. "I should have been in here! He knows me, I could have calmed him down!" she hissed, before marching to the vent and catching a glimpse of Capper as he retreated. "You don't treat severely wounded ki users, then" she surmised as the doctor said that this had never happened before. "Cap's weak, but even so he's stronger than someone who can't use ki at all...." She cursed again, then called out, "Capper! it's okay! They're here to help you, not hurt you!" |

Capper had made his way through the vent, only his tail visible in the darkness of the labyrinth of air vents. Looking to the path ahead, Capper tried to squeeze his tiny body through a narrow passage, but to no avail. He could hear voiced behind him, causing the caged animal of a saiyan to turn around, his eyes barely even visible in the darkness of the vent. The saiyan's pupils were just tiny dots now, his frantic, shaky breaths never ceasing. He could barely think at this point- all the saiyan knew was that he was in danger and he had to run.... He had done a lot of running in the past, and those instincts of fight or flight were quickly churning inside the saiyan's brain. In an emotional state where he couldn't apply logic, the saiyan's head perked up a little when he heard Jormungandr's voice.
Capper flat-out turned his head and let out a primal hiss when Jormungandr tried to plead for him to come out. Out there was bad. All of those scary tools and scary people with the masks, shadowed from the light shining above, which Capper almost believed was the afterlife at this point in time. Having nowhere to run, Capper just turned back around, his Scouter shining on the narrow end of the path. There had to be a way out. He couldn't go there. Blood still draining from his form, Capper fell on the metal ground of the vent as he tried to crawl forward, but quickly forced himself back to his feet. If there was one thing common between all saiyans, it was their stubbornness and constant refusal of death, and Capper was clearly no exception. |

The serpent groaned as Capper hissed and turned back around, fleeing farther into the vents. "Capper, if you don't come out right now, YOU DO NOT GET TO EAT ANYTHING BUT BROCCOLI FOR THE NEXT MONTH!" she roared, desperately trying to use the enormous appetite most saiyans had to coerce her friend out of the vents. The demoness glanced at the doctors, scowling. "what are you doing just standing around?! find other entrances to the vent! FIND A WAY TO GET HIM OUT BEFORE HE DIES!" She bellowed, glaring at them. |
