Name: Samda. This is a pun. The name is a combination of combining Sanda, the Japanese word for thunder, and the type of dance, samba.
Alias: None.
Species: Demon. More specially, oni, as in the same race as King Yemma and those that work for him.
Gender: Female
Age: Not sure how demons age relative to humans in DBZ, though for a human, she'd be in her 20's. So, the 200's perhaps?
Appearance:
Samda has a very distinctive look on Earth. For a member of her species that is a fighter, she is not particularly large. However, at 6'3” he is very tall and has a large amount of muscle mass in comparison to a human woman. However, this is might come off as natural because of her strength and doesn't entirely overshadow the feminine qualities of her face and figure. More noticeable, however, is her red skin, two horns jutting out of her short black hair, pointed ears, and her two blue striped tattoos on her cheeks.
As for the way she dresses, Samda prefers to dress casually, as you might tell from the picture. However, because of her jobs in the otherworld working for King Yemma, she has been known to wear a lot of formal wear that's required for the job. In her case, this was a woman's buisness suit, black. However, because of her work, and because she is a fighter, such suits are more often that not unkept, dirty, or ever tattered.
History: When Samda was born, the future was mostly laved out for her. Of course, she'd work under King Yemma in the celestial bureaucracy in some way or another. It was just the order of things for oni. She had a normal (for a demon)and mostly happy childhood, and was treated with love by her parents. She was taught her duties and educated her on how to perform them. She does believe she betrayed her parents or how they raised her, though they and others might think so. The problem was that she has simply found herself bored.
Samda's first major decision in life was requesting to become a warden for hell/the HFIL instead of starting as a simple clerk as she was expected. Her reasons were simple, and two fold. The first was that the job was an important one. Keeping those vile souls in hell/the HFIL kept both the living and the dead safe. Having such a duty seemed like a great honor and goal to strive for. The second was that the very idea of it was simply exciting. She would observe and even combat the most wicked beings ever birthed. Concerned and worried for the safety of their child, these reasons were precisely why her parents forbid it. She applied anyway, and it was discovered that she had potential, especially for her age and abilities with ki, and thus she was to be trained. Although still angry about their daughter's insubordination, that she was deemed fit for the job but them slightly at ease about her safety.
As a trainee, Samda found herself in a lot of trouble. Two types were the most prominante. The first was her tendency to mock and provoke the prisoners, and to be provoked by them. The second is merely getting lost, and thus wandering into the dangerous landscapes of hell/the HFIL and accidentally having to experience some of its punishments herself. On multiple occasions, she barely survived. However, by fighting some of the most ferocious souls imaginable, and by enduring the tortures of hell itself, Samda had become strong. She had become strong enough to be a true warden, feared by many in hell/the HFIL.
However, eventually, it seemed like her job had become, well, a job. She had fallen into routines and there seemed to be fighters in hell/the HFIL that it seemed like she could never match no matter how hard she trained. She had to either avoid them or call in the like of the otherworld's tournament fighters in for assistance; this proved embarrassing.
One day, on patrol, Samda found a grouping of prisoners that seemed suspicious. Particularity the formation that seemed like guards, and the sounds of chanting. Bursting through the ranks, she saw what seemed to be a sorcerer trying to create a portal. It was a smal magical circle, only able to fit one person inside at a time. However, Samda's knowledge of magic was limited, so she knew not how to stop the spell, and time was precious. Also, she was overwhelmed by sheer numbers of powerful fighters ready to transported. The fight seemed futile and she ended up staying within the magical circle trying to push others out. It began to be clear that she herself would be transported, and in a last ditch effort, sent a bolt of lighting into the sorcerer, killing in him and preventing him form opening another portal. However, she still was teleported, winding up in the world of the living and on the planet Earth.
Samda knows not how to go back home to the otherworld or how to contact her family or King Yemma. However, she does know that Earth is a whole new mysterious and exciting world for her to explore.
Starting Planet: Earth.
Techniques:
Offensive
[N1] Heavy Metal Thunder. Oni are known in legend to control the weather, particularly creating thunder storms. As such, Samda has the ability to shoot a bolt of lighting from between her two horns or alternatively her fingers by snapping them. This is treated like a normal ki beam offensive technique. The name comes from a line in the song Born to be Wild, tieing into the pun of name for both lightning and a musical theme.
