“Oh I have seen how they talk down about other races Emer… I have lived here on Earth for over two decades. So they have called me things I dare not repeat as the insults can be rather disgusting. The only thing is that for all the rude and nasty people there are good people who will sooner give you the shirt off their back then harm you. You just have to find the right people…”
Her words coming out without any malice on the words just a matter of fact way of speaking. It was obvious that she had meant every word she spoke. Though the words stopped as they walked along. The heat was starting to get the better of her when she noticed the tail lifted in the air to help block the sun. This simple gesture made her smile as it showed a kindness that seemed to just exude off of the Ryashi that she could easily befriend. A combined voice would echo out from within Mimikko.
“Thank you Nai-Ran. The heat was starting to get to us.”
Obviously both Lilith and Mimi where grateful and she chuckled lightly as Mimikko was back fully in control of herself. She had not spoken as such in quite a long while. Though her gaze followed Emer as they made it to the cave’s entrance. The small platform where he went to seemed unsafe to her but if he was comfortable she was not going to interfere with him. :: Anything that makes him happy… He has lived a much worse life then I did while in my servitude. I can only imagine how painful his memories would be if we shared them with one another… I doubt he would get much from me yet I would feel a lot that would overwhelm me…::
“Oh thank you Nai-Ran… This seems like such a pleasant place within such a hostile enviorment. You have a knack for surviving out here… Maybe somemore Ryashi should come to Earth and work some outposts out here for the travelers. I can assume you have seen with the haste most cut across the Diablo Desert as they call this area. I honestly think it would be a good thing.” She shrugged as she seemed to be thinking farther outside the box then what most others would speak about.
“I hope that you do not mind me being here for the rest of today and leave in the morning tomorrow. As it would make my travel much easier to be able to travel and I think so long as you are here I will visit each time I pass along this area. And a Paozaosarus? Really she helped you fight one of those? That is something as last time I saw her she could barely do anything but scream and whine. I still wonder just how much she is like her father though.” As she walked into the cave she spoke softly and once inside she would find herself somewhere to sit down. Flopping down after setting aside her sword on a small table.
Looking around at all the pillows and fabrics made her smile as she closed her eyes as she remembered the last time she was somewhere like this. Such memories where easy for her to recall especially when they where happy ones even though it had been two decades since she had the experiences she remembered. Opening her eyes she spoke back up. “Such a lovely home you have Nai. I mean this is so comfortable. So much unlike the lands outside of the cave You ever think of just staying here on Earth?”

((Spoke with Emer in the Cbox. The posting order for this thread is now Mimikku > Nai-Ran > Emer.))
Nai-Ran chuckled lightly at Mimikku’s suggestion as she moved to curl up on her favorite napping rock just outside the cave entrance. Its smooth surface was already nice and warm thanks to the blazing sun that always glared down at the desert sands. ”Perhaps something like that could be implemented in the distant future, but with the way things currently are I don’t see an idea like that being very successful. I’m afraid that humans aren’t used to we Ryashi. My people are unknown to them, and fear tends to stem from the unknown more often than not. I’m just grateful that not every human I’ve met has run away screaming at the sight of my tail.” It was bad enough that that was the expected reaction to a single serpentine being. There was no way that a whole group of them would get a better reception. Such a trading post wouldn’t get any business.
”My offer still stands to take all of the time you need. It’s no trouble at all,” the young woman confirmed. While it was true that she and Emer had been on their way to Mt. Paozu to see if they could find any more fruit for him, they still had plenty to last for the next several days. The suggestion had been more of a whim than anything else. Nai-Ran had wanted to do some more exploring of the world around her. She had only seen a very small amount of the large mountain that loomed in the distance. Going there to look for fruit had been a perfect excuse to see what all it had to offer. Of course they would still be looking for fruit since it was a pretty important task, but that didn’t mean that’s all they would be doing once they got up there. ”She most certainly did. It would seem that she’s done some growing up since you last encountered her.”
Nai-Ran’s lips were still curved into their usual smile at the mention of her possibly living out the rest of her days on Earth. However, if Mimikku was paying close enough attention, she could see a brief look of melancholy appear on the face of the serpentine lass. ”Well...” she started off slowly. ”I don’t plan on going anywhere for quite some time. You see, I’m here on something my people refer to as the Ritual of Discovery. Think of it as a sort of long term training mission. I plan on remaining on this world for at least a few years, but some Ryashi have been known to stay for a decade on which ever world that they end up travelling to.” It was true that she was enjoying her stay on Earth quite a bit. There had been a few bumps in the road, but there had been nothing all that bad so far that she wasn’t able to overcome. ”As for making Earth my permanent residence... I’m afraid my father would never allow such a thing,” she finally answered, though her tone was noticeably lower than before.
No matter what happened here on Earth, the young woman could never picture herself defying General Kan-Basu like that. It had always been a bit difficult trying to live up to his expectations of her; at times it definitely felt like he was more of a particularly strict instructor than her father. Still, she understood that the man had always had a lot to deal with. Not only was he in charge of taking care of the Rujju Sands, he had also raised her as a single parent since she had been three years old. Besides, it’s not like he had been cruel to her. He allowed her to practice fighting and spend time with her friends even if there were always heavy restrictions placed on both activities. Nai-Ran still respected him quite a bit and had no room to complain.

Emer sat up above the cave thinking to himself, it had been a while since he just sat and listened to others. It reminded him of the day he had been back at the saiyan school, sure it had been a very painful experience there during the sparring. But during the classroom, it had been the only time that he had actually been able to relax completely. Listening to the twins talk to one another had set him to relaxing, but here he was getting that nostalgic feeling with Nai and the other kagami within the cave. Opening his eyes slightly, he listened on about how Nai had been sent here on some kind of exotic mission or something, it seemed that he wasn't the only one on a mission, both of them seemed to be as well. Suddenly something caught his interest about her staying here on earth, Emer hadn't thought about it himself, what would he do after he freed his species... Let alone where he'd reside...
Shaking his head slightly, he ignored the thoughts and went back to where he was nearly asleep, he was somewhere in between sleep and being awake, because he had still heard them talking about other topics. Then a very faint mumble came from Nai as she talked about how her father would not approve of her residing on earth. A small laugh came from him, they could see that he was totally relaxed at the moment. "Well, I guess we'll just have to persuade 'Father'. Because a child can do anything they wish, when the grow of age, they'll just have to suffer the consequences of the said action. Be it losing your family, and being removed from it. Or just going without their blessings." He said remembering back to how he had been when younger. He was slightly temperamental when he was a child, which showed today. But now it had come down to simply saiyans that regarded his anger.
"As for me, I thought over your question Nai, and once I free my people... I may just disappear completely... There's no place for me to stay afterwards, and certainly can't stay with the Kagami. They may not admit it, but the Kagami's true nature isn't to fight, instead they try to get along with the race they live with. It's in our nature to copy something that is near us. Over time we'll take on their shape, and eventually become like them. If the Kagami become like me, who's to say that it'll be for the best? I mean... They'll become blood thirsty for the saiyans as well, and will want to destroy all of them as well.." He stated looking down at his fist before clenching and releasing it. "I can't have them all become like me, that'd take the fun out of having me around." He said with a small smile on his face. Though now Nai knew that Emer had planned from the beginning to never show his face to the rest of his race after freeing them. And the reason now was out before her.
"This half saiyan you speak of, Ninjin or whatever, when she comes I'm not sure how I will react, but I will do whatever you say when you hold my contract. As you've wished me not to speak ill of her before, I shall not. You also wish that I bring no harm to her, That I too shall not do." He stated looking down at Nai. His eyes had lost any emotion in them when he spoke about the half saiyan coming here, they seemed cold and deprived of life at the moment. "Though, if you weren't the one to hold my contract as of the moment, I would certainly kill her on sight." He rolled over to where his back was facing them, a small sigh escaping his lips. "And yes, I would do it, even if that Kagami in there was to step in my way, No one will stop me from destroying them, not even my own kind." He said referring to Mimikku inside of the cave.
Mimikku could tell by his cold tone, he had been truthful about killing her if she had stepped in his way should he go after Ninjin. As cold as it may be, she could feel some relief knowing he wasn't going to try anything as long as Nai held onto his contract. "But... Just like when those saiyans came to your cave... I couldn't bring myself to kill that one girl, I let her go because she was young. I just couldn't feel the rage I had when the shorter man pissed me off... That entire time, I couldn't feel the rage I had before..." He seemed to be upset by that, but it was true. The saiyans that had stopped by her cave not to long ago, and had tried to fight them, he had been unable to bring himself to kill the teen like girl that called herself Aspa, simply cause he didn't have the rage to do so anymore... Maybe it was because she had been so young, as she stated in saiyan years she wasn't even a full fledged woman, which mean she was probably around the age of seventeen...

“Maybe your people should become allies with this planet and the other ones not within the control of the Saiyans or the FTO. Though I can see why they wouldn’t if either was pushing against them rather hard. I mean the saiyans while Ruto was calm and sweet. Most are bloodthirsty bastards who are not all that worth the blood they spill when your blade crosses their throats… As for the other races.. I can safely say the worst has to be those Changelings. So cold, calculating, and strong… Yet they will bleed all the same if their heads are cut off…” As she spoke it was obvious that Lilith took her over as she spoke of the other races. It was as if the Goddess within Mimikko was there to protect her from the evils of the other races.
As Nai-Ran spoke to her about Ninjin a smile crossed her face. Almost like a parent hearing news of a child for the first time in a very lng time. “That is good to hear… It is good to know she is so strong and using her strength in good ways. I know she had before with the news reports I saw of her saving civilians and standing between a person who was going to try and kill them and the innocents. It is.. good to know.”
Speaking in such a way brought back out the normal side of Mimi. She had noticed the pale fall over her as she spoke about her father. Such a thing is not something someone should feel was what Mimi thought to herself but she had no place to talk. As she never did get to know her parents as she was taken away and sold when she was but a infant. “You know that defying someone who is overbearing can lead to good things for yourself Nai-Ran… I can say that the first time I defied Ruto… Made him reconsider how he saw me. I became something more than just a slave to him. He noticed my fire and started treating me with respect… and tenderness.”
Her words cut off as she listened to Emer speak after Nai finished talking about her father. She gave a nod of acknowledgement as it was true that the Kagami are not fighters. They would prefer to just live their lives without intereference. “It is true… what Emer says. Most Kagami are like me except they are submissive in every essence of the word. They listen to every command, every demand of their contract holder. Literally if he or she told you to do unspeakable things for them.. you did it without hesitation.” Though as he spoke about Ninjin and his own degree that he would only temper his weapon if Nai-Ran told him to. Otherwise it would be a fight between the young half saiyan and with Emer. A sigh escaped her lips but even she froze as his words came out that even she would be killed should she step in the middle of it. The chill ran down her spine as she closed her eyes and looked away from him.
“I understand that you would kill me I I stood between you and Ninjin… The issue is I cannot allow you to harm her if I am able Emer. You know what a command from your contract holder means to you… This was the final command he gave me before he released me from the contract he had on me. It was the one condition I had to agree to before he released me from my contract by burning it atop a hill near one of the great watering holes on Appodora. He set me free and…”
Going quiet as she made certain to not say the rest of it as she knew he hated saiyans and what she had done would easily make her a saiyan sympathizer in his eyes. One that his rampage would include at one point or another.

”The thought has crossed my mind, if only for a brief moment. Appodorra is always looking for new trade partners. As much as I would rather stay hidden from the public eye, perhaps it might be a necessity to venture out into populated areas more often. I’m not counting on it making too much of a difference in how those who are native to this planet see me, but I suppose there’s some hope that it could get them more used to my appearance,” Nai-Ran sighed. She didn’t like the expressions that most people wore when they looked at her almost every time she had chosen to leave the Diablo Desert. Hiding from their gaze all the way out there was definitely the option that made her the most comfortable. Still, she wanted to make a difference, didn’t she?
Lilith had once again made her presence known while they were discussing the issue. Mimikku seemed to share Nai-Ran ideals for the most part on how everyone deserved a chance to prove themselves no matter what they had been born as. The spirit that inhabited her body seemed to side more with Emer on that matter though. The serpentine lass somewhat understood why they would feel that way, but it didn’t make it any easier to accept that kind of thought process. One couldn’t choose what form they entered life as...
Nai-Ran looked up at Emer with wide eyes. He was still resting on the ledge above the mouth of the cave, looking like he was half asleep. However, the large Kagami man had been listening and caught the serpentine lass’s comment about her father. He commented about ‘persuading’ her father to let her do as she pleased, to which Mimikku seemed to agree. ”I could never do something like that,” the young woman insisted with a firm shake of her head. ”This is the path that was decided for me since I could barely slither on my own. My father, General Kan-Basu, is the current ruler of the Rujju Sands. It’s his wish to keep that title within the Rassuto Clan. Our clan has always been a small one. The only ones that still carry the name are him and myself. I’m the only one that he would be happy with passing his position to when he retires one day.”
Emer changed the subject to the question she had asked him to think about. He informed her that he had come up with an answer for himself. Nai-Ran perked up a little bit before actually hearing his answer, which caused her spirit to droop a little bit. She had hoped to be making some major progress in her quest of showing him that there was more to life than bloodshed and vengeance. Unfortunately, it was far too soon for any type of celebration there... Still, it had only been a few days. These things took time, especially with how long his hatred for the race had been ingrained in his mind. She couldn’t lose hope. Besides, the fact that he didn’t go into a blind rage at the mere sight of a Saiyan was good at least.
”If you’re worried about other Kagami mimicking your exploits, would it not be better to make yourself into something you would be happy with them looking up to instead?” she asked quietly, her eyes locked on the large rock she sat on top of. Mimikku had added in that there was truth to what he was saying about their people being influenced by such behavior and how they were submissive by nature. Nai-Ran certainly didn’t need to be reminded of some of the things they were ordered to do since Emer’s memories were still somewhat fresh in her mind. Not only that, but she knew all too well that he intended to perish in his one-man pursuit of liberating his people. Irith and Alith had both informed her of it. Not only was it going to be a suicide mission, but one that likely wouldn’t put much of a dent in the Saiyans’ hold over the Kagami.
”Mimikku, do you also eat primarily fruit? Sometimes I have to be reminded that most species eat more than one meal per day, so I would like to have an idea of what to prepare for the evening meal as soon as possible,” she said in a hasty attempt to change the subject. There was talk of the two missions of the Kagami in her presence being conflicted, which would likely have led to even more bloodshed had Emer not decided to hold off on attacking Ninjin due to the contract. Again, as much as Nai-Ran disliked the idea of her holding someone’s life in her hands, it was something she was thankful for at that very moment.

Emer sat there for a moment listening to the other girls as they responded. It seemed that Mimikku believed that anyone could change, and it made the Kagami make a small grunt in disbelief though he spoke no more on the subject. That was until Nai began to talk about her father he let a small laugh escape his mouth before he spoke. "A true father as you state would not force their youngling into such a position. I see no need to make a child of mine, or any others take a position they do not care for. And it seems to me that you are unhappy with going back at any time. Maybe for a visit you would enjoy it, but to stay there would not be your ideal solution." He said judging it all on the way she had spoken. Mimikku mentioned about how their two missions would be absolute regardless of what was said between them. "Then, I do hope you understand after today, should we meet again it won't be pleasant."
Suddenly Alith began to speak in his head. 'Hey, she holds my sister don't forget that, we goddesses aren't immune to death either, if our host dies, we die permanently ourselves. If you get rid of us on your own choice, we're simply placed back into another host. But should the user die while holding us close to them, then we die along with them. Our grandmother had meet the same fate not to long ago.' Emer laid there silently after his statement which could make the atmosphere become awkward but he was talking to Alith inside of his head. ' I told you did I not... You're just a stepping stone till I can make it towards my goal, once I make it there, before I die I shall release y'all... But should your sister and her host step in my way, I have no quarrel killing them.' Suddenly Nai spoke about him changing himself, the Kagami turned his head towards her, hanging it upside down from the cliffs edge.
"I wish not to recreate myself into a false being, I am but the harbinger of death for the saiyans. I will not stop till I destroy them all, even if it costs me my life." He seemed to be serious about this. Then he began to think a bit about how he let Aspa escape with her life. "I need to correct my mistake of the other day and letting a few of them filthy things go..." He said disappointed in himself. He spoke about bringing them down and eventually freeing his race, but just the other day, he allowed one that had been young escape to live. How could he call himself the Harbinger, when he let the child escape. Feeling a little bit down he shook his head looking down at Mimikku, "But... I suppose it doesn't have to mean we are enemies... I did let one escape not to long ago... Maybe I can overlook another." Suddenly a thought went through his mind, just what the hell was he thinking when he said that.
Somewhat angry at himself Emer let a small huff out, and pointed his hand out towards the rocks a bit, suddenly a giant Ki beam seemed to screech and tear through the land as he let his anger flow out into it. Little did he know that Nai's washbasin had been there with some clothes still in it. Suddenly they could smell a fire as clothes and boards alike began to disintegrate into nothing. Suddenly what was left of what seemed to be a bra, with just wires and a small bit of the pad inside of the clothing floated down in front of everyone. Starring slightly at the small piece of wire and clothing left he cleared his throat slightly. "Umm..." Was all he could say at the moment. He knew he screwed up when he destroyed that, but how was he suppose to know it had been over in the hollows, I mean she normally keeps the thing beside her cave, right where the clothing wire had been.

“Took the village where I live about five years to get adjusted to my appearance… I do not know how long it would honestly take people to get adjusted to you Nai-Ran.” Speaking up rather simply and plainly Mimikko knew the prejudice of humans where a long held thing that had thankfully began to subside over the decades since she had been on the planet. Though certain areas are more progressive than others and not many would bat an eye at her. Places like the major cities would be more inclined to not bother her than the most rural of places. Though it seemed that nai-Ran had had some encounters with the folk of the Spinach Wastes which was a rather notorious area with their distrust of outsiders.
As Nai spoek after Emer made his comments about her father it made Mimi shrink a little. As she felt no connection whatsoever toward a father or mother figure. The closest thing she had was Lilith who had attached herself to Mimikko at an early age. So the second voice in her head was something she had grown with and had never not had there. “Well at least you know there is a palce that is hospitable for your people here on Earth should you ever wish to have a settlement and or setup a trading post on the planet.”
She trailed off her thoughts as she listened to the two of them go back and forth. Within her mind Lilith poked at her. :: Hey Mimi. I know it is good an all to find not only another Kagami but an Appardoran. But be careful. I do not like the vibes I get from our fellow. Despite having Mother and Sister within him he seems wild and a loose cannon. Be careful revealing things around him especially your little secret. I know Lily. I will be careful I mean I cannot act as a stranger to someone should we both agree to who will know everything about my life and I his. I have a feeling that Ms. Nai-Ran also knows his painful tale firsthand. As it is customary for a Kagami to share the memories with their contract holder::
She snapped back from her conversation as Nai-Ran asked her about her choice in food. Giving a shrug of her shoulders she spoke up. “Personally I only eat twice a day. Usually after I awaken and just before I head to bed, Though a snack of some fruit sounds like a great idea.”
Giving them both a cheery smile as she leaned back against the rock a hand resting on her stomach as she heard Emer get a little huffy and fire off a blast of ki. Glancing in the air as some clothing came floating down made her laugh at Emer as the bra landed on him. “I would start running Emer… Either that or grab some Zeni as I think you need to buy our friend here some new clothing…” As she spoke she chuckled to herself her hand not moving from her stomach.

Post by Nai-Ran on Oct 8, 2014 20:12:16 GMT
The young woman grew quiet. How could she honestly be expected to throw away sixteen years of work like that? It was true that she wasn’t really looking forward to the day in which she took father’s place and that she had made that fact known to him on several occasions, subtle as they may have been. However, he had his reasons for keeping her on that path. There had been a lot of time and effort put into turning her into someone worthy of such a position in Ryashi society. Dropping all of that because she was fond of living life on Earth seemed like an incredibly childish and selfish decision. Nai-Ran had to admit that it sounded kind of nice, but that didn’t make it the right choice.
Emer wasn’t too keen on Nai-Ran’s idea to strive to be someone his fellow Kagami could look up to. It had been worth a shot, but the young woman had gotten roughly the same answer she had been expecting. He then moved into talking about the fight with the Saiyans that happened not too long ago. The Ryashi hadn’t paid much attention to Emer’s fight with the younger Saiyan woman since she had been preoccupied with their leader at the time. Right before the combat actually started was when she noticed the drastic change in his emotional state. She wasn’t exactly sure how it had triggered, but Nai-Ran knew it had something to do with her experiencing his memories when their blood was mixed. Even with all of that going on, she was still shocked that he had let her go.
”Is that so?” she asked, turning back to Mimikku. ”I’ll have to see what we have. Up until Emer started staying with me, I had mostly just stocked up on meat. There’s not much variety in the way of fruit at the moment, but we have plenty to last for a few days. Emer, did-” Suddenly, Emer shot out a blast of ki from where he continued to sit above the mouth of the cave, hitting some rocks not too far from the conversing ladies. Nai-Ran looked up at him with a troubled expression and was about to ask what was wrong when her nose was assaulted with the smell of burning fabric.
”Oh no! I completely forgot!” she yelped. Since they were trying to go somewhere earlier, Nai-Ran hadn’t had time to properly put her clothes away once they had finished drying. She hadn’t had what she had left in the wash basin for very long since the only outfit she had brought to Earth with her was the black and gold one she was currently wearing. It would appear that it would continue to stay that way for the time being. The most that remained of the clothes she had bought was nothing more than a bunch of tiny, charred tatters of cloth that were slowly drifting back down to the ground. While she could easily get by without any extra outfits, the young woman had been looking forward to having some more variety in her wardrobe.
The only article of clothing left that was somewhat recognizable was one of the new bras Nai-Ran had picked up. As luck would have it, it happened to land almost perfectly in the center of where the three of them had been gathered. Nai-Ran’s cheeks turned a shade of rosy red as she slithered over to what was left of the garment, quickly snatching it up and shoving it behind her back so it was hidden from view. She didn’t really know why she was so embarrassed about it. It’s not like she had actually worn the thing yet, and she most definitely wasn’t going to wear it now. It could barely even be identified as a bra anymore. Even so, she would rather not have her undergarments on display like that.
”It looks like I’m going to interacting with humans again sooner rather than later. It’s another opportunity to get them more used to me, right? Ahaha...” Nai-Ran commented, finishing with a bit of nervous laughter. She found that her face had been turning red quite often as of late. Things were so different here than they were in Ryashi high society...

Emer sat there for a moment as he watched Nai, it seemed to be a funny little incident after a bit he saw her turning a bit red. A small laugh finally escaping the Kagami's lips. It had been actually a full hearted laugh not one that was forced. Finally the laughing came to a stop from Emer as he wiped his face off slightly. "I'm sorry, but that was funny. You act as if you're embarrassed that you have to wear something so common to human females on this earth. Would you prefer us to assume that when your shirt gets wet there, that you'd be wearing no bra instead?" He stated teasing her a bit about her reaction. Laying back down and turning to the sky he let a small sigh escape from him. "I guess that's what I needed today, I needed a good laugh one that I could enjoy." Suddenly Alith began to speak to him, from within again, but this time the others could hear her out loud.
"You know, it's rude to imagine her like that Emer, I mean sure if she would rather assume that , you don't need to picture wh-" Suddenly the voice went silent as he cleared his throat. "I didn't exactly imagine it yet, so I would stop there before you give me ideas." Swinging up into a sitting position he simply slid off of his small bedding above he reached down removing his Cowl, he didn't need to be wearing the weights all the time. As he removed the red and black article of clothing from his body, he felt the warmth of the sun against his body. His hair changing into a variety of colors. "It's been a while since I've just allowed my body to take in the sunlight like this." Looking down at Nai he hopped down before turning around towards Mimikku, she could of caught a glimpse of his back full of scars, and all down his arm. And notice a stub of just another one there. His front had been a bit better than his back. But each scar on the front of him seemed to flow towards the heart where it was cleared.
"I guess the Elder's sayings hadn't been wrong. On the outside the heart may look as if it was fine, as there will be no markings, but inside, it is destroyed by scars of pain, and memories." He said looking at the clear little circle. Turning around towards Nai he tapped that small part of his chest. "Hey, Put a scar here so it could show that it isn't completely unmarked, I mean every time I fight, I've never been touched beside my heart." He stated with a small smile. "Though, I guess that's because I'm pointing at a strange area." He was actually pointing towards his right side of his chest. "I was born with my heart being on the right side instead of my left." He stated looking at the freaky circle. Now that would be news even for Nai, that he has never gotten a mark there. "And I'm sure Mimikku remembers that all roads lead to the heart. As the Kagami elders would say." He said looking his own body.
"I guess they really do..." A loud laugh escaped his lips as he seemed to be in a better mood after Nai turned red. "And, I'm sure I'll make up for the garment she is missing now. I can always help her earn more. I'll just participate in a tournament that is coming up soon. Nothing major, but a nice little Minor League that will be happening for rewards." He said clenching his fist. "If I win this so called tournament, I'll probably forget about Nai staying in the sand and stuff. I'll take her advice and get a Capsule house, but it'll be specially made, to fit both of us inside of it. Make things easier for her to access, and probably make a special room of heated coals." He said the last one looking devilishly at Nai. Heated coal was lovely for snakes, as long as they stayed at one hundred and ten degrees, like sun bathing rocks that snakes love, Laying on them was great for muscle relief.

Mimikko had no reason to not believe Emer that the man had let the saiyan go. As Ruto had taught her that they let certain weaker people escape to spread fear into the masses whenever he would head out to conquer or fight. A tactic of fear of the opponent was what he had called it. With a slight shrug she was about to respond when Emer fired off and she smelled the fabrics as well. She could not hold back the laughter though as she sat there laughing right alongside the goddess within her. “Y..You blew up… That is… so great…” The combined voice coming from her giving her laugh an almost echo to it as the paired team laughed at the predicament.
As the blush crossed Nai-Ran’s face she gave a wave at her as if trying to draw her attention. “At least your chest is decently sized.. I mean look at me. I am barely there in comparison.” She spoke as she smiled and chuckled again. The personal attack on herself doing nothing to really change her cheery demeanor. Though her mind did go back to what Nai had said before the explosion. A finger raised to her chin as she touched it.
As Emer dropped to the ground before her she noticed his scars and once again felt horrible for him. All the scars he got on his body where in the sharp contrast to Mimi. All of her scars are internal and mental than the physical ones like he has. Hearing him offer himself to Nai for her to give him another scar she almost cried out in protest but bit her tongue. It was customary for her people to do radical things in atonement. When she heard him address her she nodded. “It is true… and sometimes those scars on the heart never heal. The will always feel as fresh as the day they where carved upon it. And I think that would be great for her as I could go speak with the humans as they do not seem to mind me and I do not bother them all that much… As for meat I am fine with anything you have Nai-Ran.. As I said I have been here long enough to adapt to my new homeworld…”

”It’s... It’s not that. Such garments aren’t supposed to be put on display...” Nai-Ran spoke in a sort of nervous, matter-of-factly tone. She was still trying to sound like proper lady she was raised to be despite the odd little predicament she currently found herself in. Her gaze was fixated on a random point along the Southern horizon, avoiding any possible eye contact for the moment. The bright red blush on her face didn’t show any signs of going away anytime soon. The comments that the serpentine lass was getting weren’t doing anything to expedite the process either. Both Kagami were getting a good laugh out of the situation, and she could hear Lilith joining in as well.
”Wh-What?!” Nai-Ran squeaked, covering her chest instinctively when Alith spoke up about the images in Emer’s mind, her ruined undergarment still balled up in her fist. The Ryashi wasn’t exactly sure what covering her chest with her arms could possibly do about someone’s mental image of her. She couldn’t help it though; this was getting her so flustered! The young woman was slightly relieved when tall man assured her that he was imagining no such images, but her arms stayed right where they were. ”Um... Y-Yes. Alith, there’s no need to go any further.”
”I-I don’t know what you’re talking about!” she responded hastily to Mimikku’s comment about her chest size. It wasn’t her decision as to how far her chest grew! Why did she feel the need to call attention to it?! They were so mean to tease her like this... Still, at least the mood was a lot lighter than before, even if it was due to how humorous they found Nai-Ran’s reactions when she got all embarrassed like that...
Emer removed his cowl and joined the two of them on ground. Doing so had revealed his scarred up form, missing arm, and opalescent hair. The Kagami spoke briefly about his scars and one for the few spots on his chest that was clear of any sort of mar before making an absolutely baffling request. ”You can’t possibly be serious...” Nai-Ran remarked with a look of confusion. The blush still prominent on her face, but the tone of her voice was back to normal. Mimikku’s response wasn’t making the strange request of his any more appealing. The mention that Emer had been born with some type of birth defect that caused his heart to be located on the opposite side of his chest didn’t bother her at all. ”I couldn’t... Why would you ever want something like that? You don’t feel like you have enough as it is?”
Shifting her focus to the idea of Emer entering a tournament to earn some money, Nai-Ran shook her head. ”There’s no need to worry about that. I’ve still got a little bit left over from my shopping trip in Satan City, remember? That should be plenty to afford an extra set of clothing or two,” the serpentine lass insisted. ”I don’t want you pushing yourself too hard. Your body’s taken a lot of damage already over the years. It needs a break, and not a short one, either.” The mention of Emer getting a capsule house brought a smile to her face, even if she didn’t approve of him entering a fighting tournament so soon after their scuffle with the unwanted guests that has shown up the other day. Besides, she liked her cave. She didn’t have to worry about leaving the end of her tail half-way through the tiny door frames that humans seemed to be so fond of, and the sensation of her scales sliding over the hot sand was unbeatable. Admittedly, a room of hot coals sounded kind of nice, but she wasn’t really sure what to make of the odd look he had given her when he brought it up.
”Meat? Fruit? That’s entirely up to you. Though, if meat’s more your preference, I don’t suppose you could give me a few pointers on how to cook it, could you? I’m still experimenting with the seasonings that humans use, so any advice would be more than welcomed,” she replied. It had crossed her mind to try to pick up a cookbook last time she was in Satan City, but the few she flipped through all featured ingredients that she either didn’t have access to all the way out there, or hadn’t the faintest idea what they were in the first place.

Emer just stood there laughing at how embarassed Nai seemed to be. Clearing his throat slightly he nodded towards her. "I'm being pretty serious about this, and it's not because I don't have enough, it's cause I did destroy your stuff." He said with a small smile on his face. Suddenly Alith alerted him to something for a minute. Standing there, it seemed that Irith was getting a bit weaker, as she had been repairing his body for so long. And he hadn't give nher the true rest she needed. Looking around slightly, Emer gave a slight bow to Nai. "I'm sorry, I'll be taking a leave for a little while." His voice seemed to be cold, and held no objections within it. Walking over to where his cowl was, Emer bent down and grabbed everything of his before starting to fly up slightly. He needed a place to be alone for a little while.
Suddenly the idea hit him. He should probably go to the top of a mountain for a little while, so he could let Irith relax without letting his body be disturbed by anyone around him. Taking a deep breath he didn't even look back at the two females, before he seemed to disappear at a blinding speed, he was using his after image and flight to boost himself along at a alarming quick rate. Sure it was a little painful on his body, he was gonna need to stay away from people, because even though he said they had just been a stepping stone in his way, he did still care for the two spirits within him. Sides Mt.Paozu had fruit for him to eat, so he'd everything he needed to survive for a while. Emer hadn't left anything behind, not even some of his clothes, everything went with him when he suddenly just left.

Mimikko was chuckling right alongside the other two as the embarrassing situation was defused by the obvious levity of the situation. Though as she stood there she felt something from Emer through Lilith who suddenly stopped laughing. Inside of her mind Lilith nudged her not to say anything outwardly and to let Emer go without disrupting him. When he left she watched him go as she shook her head before she spoke up softly. “Nai-Ran.. The thing is we have been servants for several generations by now. We are used to physical or mental anguish whenever we step out of line. So his request for physical punishment is something he is used to. Just as I am used to mental anguish…”
Her mind went to what Emer had spoken about to repay Nai-Ran though as she finished talking. Shaking her head she sighed and spoke up. “And I think his offer was genuine. I know for a fact on my own if I had done something like that I would of taken what punishment I had from my contract holder and then I would have to repay them. Right now I am lucky I have Zeni from living here as long as I have. So I can imagine that a warrior for the Kagami as Emer seems to be. Such a tournament would be his way of assisting you even though I feel you could care less about that and instead you would rather him not get hurt.”
“I think that is what he has left to go do… or both me and Lilith hope that is what he is going to do. Such a beating upon his body is traumatic and can tax our resolve and sap the goddess’ strength. Though he is lucky to have two within him so the effect would be lessened somewhat but eventually he will need to stop…” Speaking as she stopped shaking her head she glanced back in the direction he had left in. Her gaze stayed there as she sighed once again.
“I guess that my experiences where obviously so much different than his. I was treated well… hell I was treated as well as a wife for Ruto for the last few years of his life. Even though I have had to kill in his name and to protect him from the more bloodthirsty…” Her voice slipped as she turned and walked into the cave proper. There was a slight change to her posture as she walked along.
“So you said something about learning about the cooking of the Earthlings. Well we can help with that. Mimi here has learned a lot in her time here. I can cook alongside you and even show you a few Kagami cooking techniques so that you can make some edibles for Emer when he returns. If you would like me to do so that is?” Lilith came through as a rather playful and energetic smile came on Mimi’s face and her red eyes seemingly glowed as the goddess held control over the woman.

”It was an accident. At least part of it’s my fault for leaving it out,“ Nai-Ran argued. It had taken her a few moments to even register that the request was linked to the objects that had perished in the blast. She couldn’t believe that that had been immediately what he would turn to over such a miniscule incident. The only things harmed due to his actions were some clothes and a wash basin, both of which were easily replaceable. To carve into someone’s flesh over something like that was unthinkable...
Emer suddenly gave the Ryashi a quick bow and spoke up about taking his leave for the time being. Without giving any other information other than that he would be gone for ‘a while’, he quickly gathered up his belongings. ”Wait, what? Where are you-“ she started to ask, but he was already gone. Where did that come from? Was it something she said?
Mimikku spoke up about the mentality behind why Emer had wished her to give him a scar. Even with the female Kagami’s explanation, it didn’t make Nai-Ran feel any better about it. ”You shouldn’t have to get used to something like that though. Nobody should. Even then, it’s not like he meant to. I left the laundry in a spot I shouldn’t have,“ she sighed, still looking off in the direction he had taken off in. By now he was long gone. ”Besides, we’re only waiting for the proper documents to be processed before he’s free from his contract. The sooner he gets used to not having to take such abuse like that, the better. Right?“
Nai-Ran seriously hoped he wasn’t off to go join a tournament as the female Kagami had stated. She had been correct in her assumption that the Ryashi would rather have him just take it easy for now. At this rate, she would have to try restraining him with her tail to get him to slow down. He was just so stubborn... ”When he needs to stop, will he actually do so? That’s my biggest concern right now.“
”From what I saw when our blood combined, it sounds like your experiences were as different as night and day. As much as I dislike the term, I don’t believe he ever had an ‘owner’ he actually cared about. Those feelings are understandable though. Some of the things those above him put him through were truly atrocious and would have easily destroyed someone with a weaker will.“ The Ryashi was still having nightmares about some of the things she saw in his head. Luckily she had found that some of the incense purchased from Satan City helped make images her subconscious was showing her fuzzier, which helped a little. Though, some of them had the opposite effect and made them even more vivid than before. Nai-Ran was basically flipping a coin if she wanted to try a new scent when she retired to her makeshift bed chamber for the night.
With a deep breath, the serpentine lass’s facial expression brightened up. This was no time to be gloomy; she still had a guest. ”If you’re willing to teach me, I’m more than willing to learn,“ she piped up with a smile on her face. She then slithered over to the cave entrance to join Mimikku and eagerly await her lesson. ”I need all of the help I can get. I don’t think the last meal I made agreed with Emer’s stomach.“

“No it is something we should not be used to Nai.. Yet we are. Our lives are usually hard and we are yet resilient. Our bodies and minds sustained by the goddesses. And that is a good thing. The day we receive our release from our contracts usually is within the week of our death. What happened with myself is something of a rarity. I remember the day Ruto told me I was free. He approached me as I stood on the porch of one of the small cabins on one of the lakes on Appodorra. I was standing there awaiting him to call for me as he had for years when he just appeared beside me he had a small folder in his hands. I had been taught to assist him with his paperwork so he could focus on fighting as he grew up so this was not something new. When I began to read the document I… well broke down would be an understatement. But to answer you some of us get used to such abuse. It becomes a part of us and something we are used to.”
It was obvious as she had spoken of her old master she was beaming. It was something of a sense of pride for her to of helped as she had. “And the answer to that is I do not know. I mean he is rather stubborn a lot like the saiyans we live with. And wait you combined blood with Emer? So you have seen what he has experienced… You are a lucky woman as most of us will not do that except to someone we trust or our Contract Holder should they request it. I can now understand why you want him to relax. I mean if you have seen his memories then you will know all his pain.”
She walked over toward Nai-Ran and placed a hand onto the other woman’s shoulder almost reassuring her about what she had done for Emer. Though her cheerful response to her offer to cook food for the pair of them made Mimikko smile. “I would be glad to teach you everything I know so long as you do the same for me. I mean I would love to learn some of the Ryashi cooking traditions. I understand what I saw back then was just what you show outsiders. So I would love to learn that and then I will teach you what I know. Would you care if I stayed here for say a week or two and we could teach one another? I know that Ninjin will still be out there if I stayed here and that you said she might come here for a visit. So staying here might be a better idea then wandering the countryside looking for her.”
Speaking as she walked over toward where Nai would indicate the food was as she began to mumble to herself as if she was talking with Lilith but not loud enough for Nai to hear. Smiling she spoke up. “Well I think it depends on the way we where raised depends a lot on what we are used to. I mean I was raised as a sparring partner for my master. So I was given everything I could to be strong for him. Then he used my strength and skill with my speed and I became something of a silent blade for him. “
Motioning toward the wakizashi that was placed at her lower back aimed toward her right hand. “Taught me how to use that with such skill. That we could fight for hours in sparring matches and never once land a blow on one another.” As she spoke she began to look through the remnants of the Paozaosarus Nai had brought back with her. Grabbing one of the slabs she would begin to get into the intricacy of the way to prepare and cook the meat without just blasting it and charring it into a black lump.
