General Rules
1) Act maturely, friendly and responsibly. You are expected to express yourself in a civil and level-headed manner during discussion or debate, therefore insulting fellow members or staff is forbidden, as is any kind of discrimination, overly aggressive behaviour or general actions which are not deemed by staff to be polite and proper during your daily discourse. This includes discussions such as character critiques: if someone is uncomfortable taking criticism of their character, or disagrees with your perspective, you should drop the subject. Always be constructive.
2) Slang words and swear words are allowed, but not used in a manner used to offend or hurt another person. Discriminatory terms are NOT allowed in any sense. Finally, if we have any complaints about the amount of foul language used this rule could be changed, so try to limit yourself.
3) No explicit sexual content. This is a PG-13 site. Harassment will result in immediate removal from site.
4) Members must be logged in to post, guest posts won't be considered valid due to the potential for 'fraud'.
5) Bad behavior in the c-box will not be tolerated - treat it as an extension of the site. If requested by staff to stop a given discussion in cbox, you are to do so immediately - if requested by a fellow member, then you are also to respect their wishes unless staff expressly say otherwise. (Sometimes cbox is not the right place - If it is truly a discussion you wish to pursue further you should instead create a thread for it.) This also includes spoilers for new movies and TV shows. At least wait a week before you discuss them and give a warning.
6) Do not ask for staff stuff in the Cbox. If you see a staff member in the Cbox, please refrain from asking them to grade or approve something. If you feel like you've been waiting long enough for something like that to get taken care of, please send them a PM instead.
6b) Do not argue with a staff decision in the Cbox. There are three areas that could serve this function, depending on the context--the Suggestions board, the Grievances and Appeals board and Private Messaging functionality.
7) Do not vote on polls using alternate accounts, everyone only gets to vote once. Additionally, do not attempt to hide that an account is an alt
8) Plagiarism is expressly forbidden. You may not use writing or roleplay material taken from other sites, regardless of if you have written it or otherwise, due to the problem of plagiarism (stealing another's work). Often, even if you are the writer of the material, it will be unfit for our shared universe.
9) Every player profile must be named after their characters. While face claims are not required to reflect your character, it is strongly recommended to avoid confusion. In keeping with the shonen manga theme, no real-life face claims or avatar pictures are permitted.
10) Do not attempt to coerce members to join your forum in an underhanded manner. Feel free to make use of our advertising board.
11) Elements of characters can be denied by the staff team for not fitting in with the canonical Dragon Ball/Z setting. This can be something like its physical appearance or something tonally misplaced. For instance, a Namekian should not have feathery angel wings, or a character's backstory is way too dark or adult.
12) You do not talk about fight club.
Roleplay Rules
1) No godmodding, whatsoever. Godmodding means controlling your fellow RPer's actions, such as saying they are hit by an attack, or followed you, etc.
2) You cannot kill another member's character without their expressed permission during normal RP. Killing a character in a death enabled thread (DE/saga) if your character is in the position to do so is allowed, with admin permission and if the rules are set beforehand.
3) Using items and techniques your character does not have access to will result in punishment such as reduction of power-level/zeni or a ban.
4) This roleplay occurs in real time, with threads being set on the date they're posted. A thread does not progress in real time, with the date staying the same unless specifically stated.
5) Gross misuse of OOC knowledge - to alter gameplay in a way that negatively effects other characters or outcomes in a way that wouldn't have otherwise happened - will be punished.
6) You are allowed up to four separate characters. Each character must have an account. If you own more than one and a character is deemed to inactive, staff can ask you to either increase your activity with that character or delete it/kill it.
7) If you grow tired of a character, or come back from a hiatus and want to start afresh, you can transfer a certain amount of PL or zenni-value from your old character to a new one. This is up to 20,000 PL OR 10,000 zenni/zenni's worth of items. You can only do one transfer from this old character.
8) If you wish to attack or invade a named location or planet (ie. a "board") then you must do so in an Open DE-type thread (see below for thread types). Destroying a board town, city, or planet requires a 72 hour wait time from the time of the attack's generation to allow players an opportunity to respond. Destroying a planet requires a 1,000,000+ PL attack.
Training Rules
9) You are allowed to do 5 solo training posts per week (7 days, refreshes every Sunday at 7am GMT).
10) Of these, two can be gravity-based or shop-enhanced (and counts towards the five if you are doing it with a companion). Gravity trainings increase in increments of 10x, no skipping allowed.
Combat Rules
11) Fighters are considered equal in power within 80% power-level of the opponent. Fighters within 65% of the leading fighter can still achieve victory, though the difference in power is noticeable. Below this level and you have little chance of victory without team-work or special techniques.
12) More in-depth rules regarding combat can be found in the 'Mechanics' section.
