[Heavy Weights EQUIP]
Ever since Basil had returned to Earth from Namek, he'd been somewhat lazy. The forced trip from his ''home'' in the wastes of Vegeta had left him longing for that nice, homely feeling once again. He figured instead of investing in real estate, he could possibly find something quite a bit like it to ease his homesickness somewhere on Earth; the place was littered with fighters left and right, so it would probably serve as a good forward base for him to establish the peckin' order. He'd been floating through the clouds using his Pod's ground-facing camera for what seemed like ages, but he just couldn't seem to pick out anything good. The South sector of the planet was where he once fought Mr. Britches and split him in half with a Fastball. He was somewhat familiar with the geography, and knew that there happened to be a lot of farmland there. It was also scorching hot, usually. The West seemed pretty temperate, although half of the frickin' place was covered in sand. Basil didn't like sand. Quicksand, especially. The East was also home to a lot of farmers, but Basil had actually been using his noodle for once. If the South and East had free food (well, it would be free after he showed up, anyways) it would probably be best to not hide out there to avoid issues with law enforcement and cameras. The North, however, was what he had finally settled on. For one, it was ridiculously cold, so almost nobody wanted to be there. There was a city, sure, but he was going to find a nice little tucked in spot where nobody would bug him after his food raids. Floating along as he enjoyed a swig of grog and a fistful of strawberry barbecue tasty pasty, his scanners finally dialed in on one region in particular; it was called the Yunzabit Highlands, evidently. It reminded him a lot of home, only colder. Landing his pod on a cliff-side, he would touch down gently before opening up the entry hatch with a few lightning-quick finger flicks of button interface.
Exiting in all of his knee-high glory, he'd place his hands on his hips before one moved to smooth out his amazing hairdo and the other began flipping through Scouter settings. If he was gonna make a home here, he'd have some work to do. He could bundle up to beat the cold, but a fire was always better. He'd need some wood, probably. Luckily he already had plenty of food in his stash from a raid or two staged when he first came back to Earth, primarily scoured from the South and East when he combed the regions for a good place to live. He began trekking along in the snow, his arms loaded with supplies because real bad-asses didn't need more than one trip. Peering around as he left tracks in the white powdery snow, he'd spot a cave in the distance as the wind began to pick up. Deciding it was as good a place as any, he headed for it and peeked inside to see a big lumpy shadow in the back corner. Leaving his stuff at the entrance, he would tiptoe carefully inside as he kept his gaze locked on the mystery creature. Whistling quietly, the shadow stirred with a low growl before rolling about in annoyance, going back to its previous echoing snoring. Gripping a nearby stick, Basil tapped his way through the darkness before creeping up on it. There was a branch just in front of its form littered with delicious-looking berries, and Basil knew he had to have them. Slowly and carefully attempting to pluck it away, a massive paw slapped down on his hand. He felt a huge, warm form begin nestling closer to him; what was this thing?
Turning on a low-power flashlight attachment on his Scouter, whatever it was looked like it was covered in scraggly brown fur, and one of its paws was just about the size of the Makyan's entire body. Its breath smelled like a dirty fish tank, and it really wanted to keep those berries. It seemed they were at an impasse. Basil gets what Basil wants! He began poking and prodding the creature with the stick, right up until the point its eyes opened and bore through his. It was all snuggly in its sleep, but now that it had been awakened and realized it had food to protect, it got grumpy awfully quick. Skittering to his feet as the creature roared viciously and darted after him, he ran to the mouth of the cave before slipping around the corner and hiding against the wall, summoning the Mighty Mallet into his hand. As the bear sniffed and snorted at the air, it turned and stared him down before rising to its hind legs, stepping forward with an awkward, bobbing gait to attempt to body slam the pint-sized villain. Poking his tongue out of his mouth, Basil lined up the drive; right as the beast came down he heaved the Mighty Mallet and cracked it dead center in a driving golf swing, watching it soar over a distant hilltop and crash through a sheet of ice into a chilly lake. Cupping a hand to his mouth to yell and taunt the beast, he guffawed briefly before quieting himself.
''FOOOOOORE! FINDAHS KEEPAHS, DWEEB!''
He would then enter his fancy, brand-spankin' new cave. Banishing the Mallet for now, he would scoop up his supplies and move them to the rear of the cave, withdrawing a tiny capsule with the ingredients for basic campfire that would last around a day; it would hold him over until he went to get some himself, anyway. As he stared around the space, he smiled to himself. He was beginning to feel better already!
