Marcel heard as the footsteps coming from the Maijin grew closer, and closer. He refused to look at her as she placed an arm on his shoulder, explaining to the hybrid about how she made for the perfect partner for this situation. He sighed before shaking his head slowly. "I know I can't hurt you. I'm actually glad I can't." he admitted, chuckling a bit at how funny it sounded to him. "It's the fact that I TRIED to hurt you is what's bothering me." he added as his smile returned to a frown. "You offered to help me when we both know full well that you didn't have to, but I instead repay you by trying to kill you..." he said, his tone lowered as he rested a hand on the cold floor. "I know this was the plan, but...." he shook his head once again. "I don't know." He slowly turned his head to the side as Shemha spoke again, his eyes not glancing towards her, but facing the ground. Her words were truthful, inspiring even, but he still couldn't shake this lingering feeling of doubt he had. He then turned his head back to the wall, and started to think. Did he really have the willpower to continue on with this? That was a good question. Despite his outburst, and with help from Shemha, he was able to temporarily tame the demon inside of him. He also thought back on the actual positive things that have happened to him in his life, but also the negative which could explain the difficulty he had with stopping completely. Some progress was made, and he couldn't deny it. Marcel began to get back up on his feet, wincing a bit from the pain as he continued to hold his side. "Despite the stuff that happened, I feel that some progress was made which I owe you a thanks for, so yes..." he turned around now facing the Maijin with a small reassured smile on his face. "I believe I have the will to continue on with this." he claimed before attempting to take a bow, only to be stopped by the pain. He then chuckled a bit at his failed attempt. "I will be sure to repay you." he said reassuringly. "I'm not sure how, but I will figure something out." he said. Whether she wanted him to, or not, the hybrid was determined to pay her back no matter what. Shemha

”Oh please. What is it you want to repay me for, allowing you to strike me in the face? I am not so primitive to believe that one favor deserves another. Besides, if we are to be friends it is my understanding that no tally is kept in that sort of relationship.” A small shrug coming with the words. To her this whole idea of friendship was something new, something introduced by Noxa and in all honesty a concept she just didn’t grasp. Yet, she had offered to help him and he treated her with respect, wasn’t that the start of what you would call friendship?
Her eyes dropped to look at his side, noting how he still held it. Apparently she struck him harder than she truly meant to. Hopefully no serious damage was done. In so many encounters she was the weaker party, all those she met surpassing her in power. That alone often made her wonder what she did wrong to always trail others, her strength always second in the room. Since she joined the SSE her goal was to grow stronger, but even as she did others eclipsed her. Perhaps, when it came down to it, she wasn’t meant to be a warrior? So used to that perspective, she hadn’t realized she might have hurt him.
”Why don’t we call it a day then? There is no reason to stress or injure yourself.” She suggested, already turning on her way to the door. As each step took her closer she glanced back over her shoulder in his direction. ”You are welcome to stay here and rest if you like. The lounge area of the ship has rather nice accommodations…or take one of the guest quarters if you feel the need to take a nap.” The invitation was an open one, again something he could take or leave just like this session. More and more the Majin found herself being friendly, likely thanks to the influence of those who treated her with kindness. She had always been impressionable.

"No, no, it's not that." Marcel said as he shook his head. "Unlike most people I've come across, you....were willing to help me. I've lived all of my life with people avoiding me, and to have someone like you to come along it's just..." Marcel took a deep breathe, smiling a bit. "I'm sorry, but I'm going to repay you, Shemha. Whether you want me to, or not." He claimed. "I'm not sure how I will now...but I will." he said, trying to bow once again, but getting stopped by the pain coming from his side, and stomach once again. Despite still seeming calm, and quiet, he felt overjoyed with all of this. She even said that they were friends! Something he has never had before. Was this really how friendship was like? His eyes followed the Maijin as she started to make her way to the door, nodding in agreement about calling it a day, before looking off into space. After what had happened, and what he's feeling right now, Marcel knew that he needed to rest. If they had kept going, he could've ended up with something broken. Despite how she looked, Shemha was strong, and is someone to not be taken lightly. He knew that she was holding back, but the pain was still strong. It made the hybrid think a bit about his own strength....He didn't just have to combat his inner demons, he had to get stronger as well if he's aiming to protect this planet from whatever dangers are out there. Marcel returned his attention to the Maijin as she offered that he could rest here. Again, he was taken by the woman's hospitality. "I really appreciate it, but I don't want to be more of a bother than I already am." he shook his head as he followed her out, his hand still on his side, and the bruise on his forehead showing no signs of fading. Willing to concede the point as it seemed he wanted to repay this debt he owed her, Shemha would let him bring balance in whatever way he chose. Just because she didn't believe in it, didn't mean he couldn't. As for the invitation though, she would soon insist he remain and rest. The Enigma was a large ship with several guest rooms yet no one ever stayed in them. Her foresight lead her to the purchase of the larger, more spacious ship and there was finally a way to utilize her investment. At the very least he could relax in the lounge, it's couches and chairs plenty comfortable if he refused to take an actual room for himself.
Out into the lounge she went, the Majin in the lead as they moved down the hallway they first entered. It opened up into the lavish recreation area, complete with a selection of furniture and it's own bar. The majority of the furniture was a mixture of soft blue material and wooden accents. Design wise it was not her doing, the layout and composition of the items in the room to be credited to the production company. She had always found it odd though how much her skin color stood out against it, might that have been the reason for the color? As for the bar it sported an underlit marble countertop, with a sturdy wooden base. All it missed was the bartender standing behind it.
Like most things on her ship, the stocked bar sat mostly untouched, bottles of various spirits full to the brim. If a group of teenagers ever broke in the collection of worldly and otherworldly booze would be a gold mine. That was an unlikely scenario though, the vessel often sealed tight and with Shemha scouter needed to open it from the outside.
”Trust me, it is no bother. The entire point of all this is for others to enjoy the comforts when aboard.” Even the soft chairs mattered little to her, her malleable body comfortable in anything no matter how hard or rough. With a spin, she dropped onto one of the chairs, head cocked to the side a little. ”I feel like I have asked a lot about you...is there anything you wish to know about me?” While she wanted to be polite, she also figured the more she offered the more he might offer in return. There was plenty she still didn't know about the man she so readily invited to her ship.

Law once again found himself looking around the well kept ship as he followed the Maijin down the hall. It wasn't until she opened up the entrance to the recreation area that he'd look forward. He stood there once again in amazement, his eyes widening at the untouched beauty of this large room. A party could be thrown in this room alone! Not that Marcel would want any of that. The idea of being around so many people just made him shudder. He started to walk in as Shemha talked a little about the area, his eyes still observing the room. "I-I'll stay for a little, if that is fine with you." he said as his eyes were now set on the bar. Who knows how long "a little" will be. It's as if this very room has taken the hybrid captive with it's siren calls. Marcel took a seat at the bar, finally removing his hand from his side. The pain was still there, but he was getting use to it. Never has he seen such a neat display of liquor in his entire life, nor has he ever took a sip of the devil's nectar as some call it. It's not that he was against drinking alcoholic beverages, he just never saw the reason to do so, or to go into a bar. He stared up at the drinks as Shemha spoke once again, having yet another internal struggle, this time about if he should ask her if he could try something. Even if he did, and she said yes, what would he drink? He had no clue what most of the things up there even were. The hybrid finally looked over to Shemha a few seconds after she finished talking. He still had a bit of a "in the clouds" look on his face from wondering about the drinks that he didn't process what she asked him right away. He blinked a few times as his expression went back to normal. "O-oh!" he shook his head quickly as he got out of his little trance before looking at the Maijin once more. "Actually, I do have a question." he said, placing a hand on the counter top. "Your body..." he took a quick pause, and thought about what he just said, shifting his eyes as he scratched his cheek with an index finger. That was a horrible way of starting the question...."Err, I mean...How were you able to shape your body around like you did back in the other room? Do you not have bones?" he asked. Despite not being in his right mind during that whole ordeal, Marcel still remembered the things that happened. This Maijin species was already interesting to him, but after seeing what she did with her own body, it made him even more curious. What was up with her biology!? She was like taffy, or.... Bubblegum.... Shemha

Glad to hear he decided to stay she watched him take a seat at the bar. For a moment, he looked almost star struck. There was no denying that her ship and the lounge especially were rather fancy in terms of spacecraft, but the awe had quickly worn off on her. Material items were…secondary to her in many respects. She understood and valued what they provided, like a means to travel between worlds, but she never really attached a societal value to them. The only people she wished to impress were those she swore her allegiance to and the only way to do that was to be stronger than she was. The Queen of Saiyans could care less about a fancy ship.
When he was finally able to refocus on her, she was equally pleased he was curious enough about her to ask a question. Even when he worded it in a way that he felt awkwardly about, the words “your body” far more direct than he likely wanted to be, she didn’t seem phased in the least. Not much of a sexual creature, for she had no reason to be, he could very well have said “You have a sexy body” and she wouldn’t even flinch. Heck, her friend Noxa stripped down in the middle of the lounge to dry herself off after getting caught in the rain and Shemha didn’t bat an eye.
As he found the courage to continue, eyes cast to the side, what he was curious about was one of her more unique abilities. Many that saw it likely found it strange, shape shifting far from your normal skill.
”Well, I am able to shift my form at will thanks to my magical origins. I will be honest and tell you, I am not sure how exactly it works, but all I have to do is will my body to move and it does. The truth of the intricacies is lost to the ages.” One of her small shrugs came along with the vague explanation. Sadly there wasn’t much more she could say, but another example might help him understand, seeing it when he wasn’t enraged.
Seated on the chair Shemha willed her body to shift. Like back in the gravity chamber, her form melted away from its standard humanoid shape. For an instant she looked more like a red blob splattered over the chair. Even her clothes disappeared, that revealing that they themselves were nothing more than a shifted and colored section of her magical tissue. Not more than a second after it began, the shift was complete. Instead of being seated in the chair like she was a moment ago, the Majin rested upside down. Knees bent over the top of the seat, her head hung down to almost touch the floor, the tentacle that was her hair laying along the soft carpet.
”See? Simple.”

"Magical?" the hybrid questioned with a slight tilt to the head. So, her species has some sort of magical background? Marcel was open minded enough to believe in magic, but an entire species that formed through magic was another thing. It appeared that the Majin herself didn't know much about the ability, it was just something that happens. His head straightened as Shemha began to morph her body, trying to show the hybrid a closer example of the ability he was most curious about. It was as if she turned into a pile of goo that slowly dripped down the seat, but what really caught his eyes were that her clothes morphed with her! With his eyebrows raised, he began to put the pieces together. Those...weren't....really...clothes! It was simply just a part of her body. Was her body morphing ability really that advanced!? He was both amazed, and now a bit embarrassed...If this is true than technically all of this time, she has been walking around naked. His head lowered quickly once that thought rolled through his head. He felt ashamed at how quickly his mind could go into the gutters. It was a trait most males shared, and it had to be something he had to live with. Once the Majin has spoken again, Marcel glanced up to see that she was now reformed, but upside down. "I never would've thought that anyone would be capable of such an...advanced morphing ability." Marcel claimed, his tone crossed between impressed, and hesitant. He rose his head all the way back up, and cleared his throat before smiling a bit. His head then shifted back to the display of liquor which led him to his next question. "Are you a drinker?" he asked, not taking his eyes off of the display. "There's nothing wrong with it if you are, I'm just curious. Despite being old enough to do so, I have never tasted any alcoholic beverages..." he confessed as he leaned back more into the chair. "I don't have anything against it, I just never saw the reason to buy any...nor go into a bar. I've always heard that those places were packed with people, and usually end with these "bar fights." he then turned his head back to the Majin before his eyes shifted towards the rest of the other end of the area. "I was never good at being around a large group." "Oh." he looked back to Shemha. "If there are anymore things you wish to know about me, I'd still be happy to answer." he said, smiling a bit. Although it hasn't even been a full day yet, Marcel felt that he could trust the Majin more now. They were after all friends now, something that still brought a smile to his face whenever he thought about it. Shemha

A small smile decorated her face as he commented on her ability to shift her form at will. Surprisingly he had handled it with far more poise than most. On several occasions in her past her sudden transition into a new shape or her choice to reshape for a particular situation had drawn shocked and even fearful responses. Marcel looked to be intrigued more than anything. Compared to many he was indeed a strange boy, full of emotions and power he feared yet curious about the world and people around him. On top of it all, he strove to protect others if only his own inner demons wouldn't get in the way.
”I drink occasionally.” Shemha replied as she rolled off the chair, legs flopping over her head until her feet met the floor and she stood in a rather graceful, fluid motion. ”Although, I wouldn’t say I am an expert in when it comes to alcohol. There are several drinks I enjoy, but I have only recently begun to learn how they are mixed.” Since her night with Noxa at the bar, her time spent watching the bartender and how he presented their drinks, Shemha had begun to investigate the skill herself. Rather modest most of the time, she would not flaunt the growing talent she possessed when it came to mixing delicious drinks.
”Would you like to try something?”She asked as her footsteps carried her over towards the business side of the bar. That same small smile on her face, her hands came to rest on the cool marble surface that was the bar top. ”Well, if I am allowed to ask anything, could you tell me about your father? I only ask because you have mentioned him, but never gone into detail.” Not exactly the truth, but she wanted to know about whatever his other half was. From what she saw in the gravity chamber it was most definitely not human, that dark aura not what she was used to seeing in those that possessed human blood.

After a nod to Shemha's first answer, Marcel shifted his body a bit to get more comfortable. It was good that she wasn't an alcoholic. Law has heard about the amount of damage alcohol could do to ones body if they consumed so much, and felt bad for those who succumbed to the devil's nectar, but he started to wonder. Are Majin's capable of falling victim to alcohol poisoning, or kidney failure?....Do Majins even have kidneys!? "Interesting." Marcel commented with as he watched her get back on her feet. "I know even less about mixing drinks than alcohol, nor have I ever see anyone do it." he then looked back up at the display after she offered, wondering what he should select. All of the drinks up there seemed alien to him, and not just the ones that originated from other planets...."Actually..." looking back at her. "If it isn't any trouble, can you...surprise me?" he asked, with a nervous smile. He felt silly not knowing anything about these things. Most young adults would be out partying, and getting drunk off of beverages like this, but of course Marcel isn't a normal young adult. The hybrid blinked his eyes once at the woman's question. "Oh?" was all Marcel was able to say before going silent for a few seconds. He still felt a bit nervous about this. What would she think if he told her the truth about his father? He clasped his hands together on the counter, his thumbs twiddling as he looked down at them. He felt like he could trust her now, but there was still the feeling of doubt in the back of his head. What if she doesn't wish to be friends anymore if she finds out the truth? But she has already told him a lot about herself without any signs of hesitance, it would only be nice to return the favor. "My father..." he finally spoke, breathing in, and out before continuing. "Is a demon...from this demon realm, I believe what it's called." He continued to look down at his twiddling thumbs. "....That's all that I know about him however..." he shyly glanced back up to Shemha then back down. "Once I was old enough, my mother told me of my father's race, and that they were never married....They didn't even love each other. She told me that what they had was more of a "heat of the moment" sort of thing. Even she didn't know his name..." he told the Majin all that he knew, and all that his mother told him although what she had told him wasn't exactly the truth...His mother was "assaulted" by a group of demons from a small clan in the Demon Realm which resulted in one of them impregnating her. She could never bring herself to tell Marcel just yet both because of the pain it could bring to him, and her. She told the hybrid's step father however, and they planned to one day tell him together, but unfortunately things went south resulting in the mother abandoning the two, and the step father dying sometime later. Marcel was very much in the dark about his father as Shemha. "If you...hate me now, or wish for me to leave...I understand." he said as his hands unclasped, resting flat on the counter as if he were getting ready to get up. Shemha

Based on her experience the other night with Noxa, alcohol was able to affect her body. Magical or now, she still possessed blood and that blood still fed into her tissues. Rather new to the consumption of alcohol beyond the occasional glass of wine while accompanying her former master, it turned out she was a little bit of a lightweight. With only two Pina Coladas in her, the Majin required assistance to return to her ship. Luckily Noxa was nice enough to do just that or who knows where the red skinned female might have ended up. Her weak tolerance was something she needed to work on.
”Surprise you, of course.” She accepted the request and with a turn on her heel she moved to open the cabinet. Focused on getting his drink she didn’t see how nervous her got about the question, but she could hear the hesitance in his voice. The subject was a touchy one, that she understood, but she was glad to have asked about it. When he finally did come out with it, her reaction was minimal. In fact, she didn’t flinch or make a single comment about the second half of his heritage.
By the time he explain what his mother shared with him, the Majin had returned to the bar itself. In her left hand she held a bottle of dark colored alcohol and her right held a similarly dark bottle of cola. The bottle of rum was a popular brand known as Captain Mo, a picture of a space vessel captain with his leg propped up on an asteroid dominated its label. As he continued she began to mix the simple drink. With a small glass set up on the table, she poured the rum to a three count before she came to an abrupt stop.
Next came three gently placed ice cubes, the Majin almost having forgotten the frozen squares of water. To top it off she used the cola, filling the glass almost to the brim. The beverage crackled and fizzed as the carbonated cola settled with the colder ice cubes. Just as he finished stating his understanding if she were to ask him to leave, she slid the drink over. The gesture alone should make it clear Shemha had no intention of any such thing.
”Why would I ask you to leave when I just made you a drink? What an incredible waste of alcohol that would be.” She attempted to joke in order to lighten the situation. Not the most skilled when it came to humor, she still made the effort. ”That is a common drink, rum and coke, so give it a try. As for your father, regardless of what you know or think of him, it is no reason not to embrace that side of yourself.” Shemha remarked, being perfectly honest. Everything in your life shaped who you were so she saw no regard in fearing a part of yourself that you could not change.
”How do you like the drink?”

After hearing the sound of a cup sliding against the counter, Marcel moved his head up a bit to see the drink resting between his hands. His eyes widened some as Shemha began to speak. The drink, and the little joke she made was enough for the hybrid to understand. She...didn't want him to leave!? His head rose up more until he was able to see the Majin. He just looked at her as she explained how he should still be able to embrace that half no matter what. He just stared at her a bit dumbfounded that she hasn't thrown him out, or shunned him! After she had asked hm about the drink, he was still looking at her for a few more seconds until he blinked a few. coming back to his senses. "A-ah, right. The drink." he looked down at it, grabbing the small glass cup with on of his hands. It was cold to the touch. Without much hesitation, he held the cup towards his mouth, bent his head back a bit, and swallowed the mix beverage in one gulp before quickly placing the cup back on the counter, not hard enough to shatter it thankfully with a big sigh. After seeing some people drinking around the city, he assumed that's how everyone drunk their alcohol, quick, and to the point. He recognized the taste of the cola, but the rum was something new, adding more flavor to the coke which he actually found satisfying. There was also the usual burning sensation in his nostrils from drinking a soda, but now joined with a burning sensation in his throat that didn't really bother him, only making a quick, small smirk as a reaction. Could it be that his odd genetics gave him a high tolerance to such drinks? It did for spicy foods, so why not? But even if it did, a few more of those would probably end up with him being, well....not their in the head. "This is really good." he complimented with a smile. The smile wasn't just for enjoying that delicious drink, but it was also because he was finally able to get the truth about his father off of his chest to someone, and that that someone didn't react to it negatively at all. Although it worked well this time, he still wasn't confident enough to just be out in the open with it to everyone he comes across. "Shemha?" Law started to play with the cup a little, sliding it from side to side as the small smile remained on his face. "...Thank you." he managed to say both for the drink, but especially for understanding as he still looked at the cup. Shemha

To say she was surprised at how he downed the beverage was a bit of an understatement. Sure in bars she witnessed others do something similar, but usually those were men or women who often found themselves emptying several glasses a night. A moment ago Marcel mentioned he wasn’t familiar with the stuff, yet now he slammed it down like he was a pro. After her initial shock, she could only slowly shake her head. Perhaps that other side of him had more influence over his day to day actions than he really realized, for the shy boy she often found looking away from her was not shy with alcohol.
”It is one of the more popular drinks. I personally prefer something fruit flavored, but I have to say rum and cola is not bad.” That was the reason she had chosen it in the first place, wanting to give him something simple and common to try as he tested the waters. Apparently she had chosen correctly.
When he said her name, she paused, focus brought fully to him as her dark eyes met his. ”Yes?” The makeshift bartender near motionless as she waited for him to continue. When he thanked her, her brow lifted before a small smile curled her lips. ”Don’t worry about it, I have plenty of alcohol.”
Even though she spoke those words, the surprisingly gently expression on her face made it clear she understood that is not what he was thanking her for. With the rare display of emotion, Shemha only let it show for a moment before she extended her hand.
”Would you like another?”

Law looked up at Shemha, returning the smile. He wasn't sure himself if she understood what he was thanking her for, but the smile she gave to him was nothing, but reassuring. Out of all the things that could've happen, he never thought that he'd make...a friend. Progress has been made with his anger issues although only a minor one, he was still proud of the progress he made nonetheless, and he was extremely grateful for the Majin who took the time to help him out, even showing him hospitality. But out of all of this, he was relieved to meet someone who didn't give a damn about his...monstrous mixed genetics. Although Shemha told him that he should accept where he has came from, Marcel still had doubts about both halves of himself...mainly his demonic half. He still needed to learn more about both sides, but he didn't wish to bother the Majin anymore with these questions. He watched as she extended her hand, offering another drink. He smiled a bit before shaking his head. "No thank you." he said as he slid the empty cup back to her. "Perhaps another time. I should really be getting back to the for...err, home." He said rubbing the back of his head, quickly stopping himself from saying forest. He honestly had no real problem telling people he lived in a forest, but at this moment, he felt that it would've left a bad impression with his new friend. There he goes, smiling sheepishly again as he thought of that word...friend. After standing up from his seat, Marcel took another bow at the woman, the pain he was feeling from the damage she inflicted on him barely there now. "I'm looking forward to meeting you again in the future, Shemha. Hopefully I'll figure out how to repay you when the day comes." he nodded as he looked at her. "I shall see myself out." As he made his way to the exit, the hybrid turned his head back towards Shemha, a small smile on his face as he gave another small nod before leaving. -Exit- PL please! Shemha

When he refused the second drink, Shemha responded with a small nod. While he liked the beverage, he wasn’t prepared to start trucking through a number of them. Tolerance or not, they would eventually get into his system and take some effect. All things considered, their short spurt of combat specifically, he must have been on the tired side. She assumed that burst of power he displayed was in itself taxing, never mind the solid blows she landed on him.
”Of course, I am sure we will meet each other again. In fact, whenever you feel like a visit, you may stop by. Although…don’t come busting in if I am not here.” Shemha remarked with a small smile. Just fine with him seeing himself out, she took a break from cleaning the glass he so recently used to give a small nod as he stepped away from the bar again.
”Until meet again, Marcel.” The polite farewell what was to be expected from the well-mannered Majin. As she watched him leave the lounge and disappear down the hallway on his way to the entry ramp, she was pleased with what transpired. Slowly, but surely she became acquainted with various individuals on Earth. The more she came to know and the more their backgrounds varied, the more beneficial it would prove to her. If only her growing group of friends knew all the thoughts that floated behind those delicate features.
