Emer stood there for a little while, his eyes closing slightly as he listened to the girl speak. She had been asking a lot of questions lately, but it seemed she was getting more interested by the moment. A small smile appeared on his face when she asked about the contract, and if she should expect anything with the blood. "The only thing about the blood, is formality, or so it would seem. But the one that trades blood with me, will have my thoughts and actions fill their head, and they'll see my past. It's because of Alith being inside me that this happens. If I hadn't of used the blessing, then there'd be nothing noticeable besides for a small smear of DNA transferring to one another."
Standing there for a moment, he made a small disgusting noise, as the woman seemed to freak out over Nai's body. "Humans, always judging before getting to know something." With that he turned his attention back to the girl. It seemed that she had a point about his body. A small grunt came from him as he responded. "I don't see a point, It'll continue to gain scars and burns to it... And even if it does break down, it's because I kept fighting without giving up." He seemed to be thinking of something as he spoke. Because his words had drifted slightly, as he pondered about why he was continuing to be rude to her, soon she'd experience everything he had felt. His pain, his past, and his memories would be with her. Before he could finish his thoughts she had asked another important question.
This time, was what was the limits upon his contract. A small smile came to his face as he looked down at her, it seemed his foul mood was somewhat gone, as he began to think rationally as this girl had shown nothing but care towards the Kagami. "Anything goes, you can kill me, you can mate with me. You can cook me, and even eat me. As long as you hold the contract there is no bars. You can tell me whatever to do, even walk around in nothing but a pair of shoes, with a stick in my ass if you desire." He stated looking back at the counter, he leaned against it with his elbow resting on the clear surface, while his hand supported his head. "The only thing you can't do, is release me, you'll get a contract nullification in six weeks or so, depending if the saiyans send it."
Looking over at Nai his smile faded. "And when you get the nullification, it'll be the same as signing this contract, you'll share my blood, and place a signature on the paper. That allows me my freedom." Small steps could be heard as he had been talking, it seemed that the woman was still going through the mountain of paperwork behind the desk. The air inside the building was stiff, as if there had been one of those cheap ass incense was lit. "The air in this place is rotten, I can't believe humans can love the smell of those things... It smells like someone set their hair on fire." The smell was often referred to as New Car smell. One in which he thought was unpleasant.
Turning his attention back to the girl, his voice was cold and hard anymore, instead it was soft, and while not entirely kind, it had a gentleness to it. "I'm curious though, why are you going through all this? Why have you decided to come with me, despite just meeting me? And why are you buying my contract?" he fired these questions off at her, in a near rapid response. Though something took control of him as soon as he calmed down. The goddess Alith taking over his body, moved over to Nai, and simply place the hand on her chin and raised it slightly. Almost touching nose to nose the female voice rang out of him once more. "Be wary child, the things you see will not be pleasant should you take this contract, you will see the times of unpleasantness he has suffered. Especially with other males, that had lacked the touch of females, and craved for some... Pleasure." With that Emer had control of his body again. When he saw how close Nai was to his face, he quickly backed away clearing his throat. "I am sorry about that..."

”In that case, thank you for the warning. That would have been quite a shock to pop into my head out of the blue like that,” Nai-Ran replied as the two of them waited in the lobby for the employee to return. To be honest, Emer’s answer had left her on edge a little bit. What is it that she would see when their blood connected? There was no illusion about the possibility of the images being happy ones. The Ryashi would have to prepare for the worst when the time came.
The young woman shook her head at Emer’s reaction to the woman but decided not to say anything about it this time around. If humans are similar to most Ryashi, than fearing the unknown was instinctual for them. It just so happened that Nai-Ran was the unknown in this case. She wasn’t about to hate them for it no matter how unnerving it was. Not everyone could simply stand up and combat their fears on a whim.
Once Emer started to list off possibilities for his contract holder, Nai-Ran listened eagerly. However, she couldn’t help but feel herself noticeably cringe at each and every one. Were these things that those who kept slaves actually did with them? It was no wonder the punishments were so strict for those involved! Initially the young woman had envisioned them being used to manual labor, various chores, or bodyguards. Though, that was bad enough since the person in question would be doing such things against their will.
At the very end of his list, he started to speak about the terms of his release. That’s what she had been waiting for. However, much to her dismay, it wasn’t quite as simple as she had been hoping. Six weeks? Here Nai-Ran was imagining a dramatic ripping up of said contract once it had been passed over the counter. Oh well, she supposed it was better than nothing. At the very least she was on the right track.
Emer’s comment about the stench in the air tore Nai-Ran from her thoughts. Faint puffs of smoke could be seen wafting through the air coming from a burning incense stick on the woman’s desk. She took a big whiff of the smoke for herself. It was an interesting one for sure. She didn’t find it necessarily bad per say, but it didn’t smell like one that she would go out and buy more of after getting her first whiff. Crimson eyes quickly glanced at her own newly bought incense burner that was poking out of the top of one of her shopping bags. Hopefully he wouldn’t have an issue with any of the scents that she had grabbed up since he would be staying with her for a while.
”Well, I,” Nai-Ran began to answer Emer’s string of questions when she was cut off by him taking her chin in his hand. Alith’s voice flowed from his mouth, warning her about the images she would see when their blood connected. She was especially concerned about instances where males had in fact taken advantage of the ‘mating with him’ example that he had listed off a few moments ago. The young woman’s eyes went wide as she gulped. It would appear that she REALLY had to prepare herself for the worst. ”Noted.”
The woman returned with the necessary paperwork for Nai-Ran to sign and timidly slid it on the desk in from of her as the Ryashi was trying to catch her breath. Her heart was already racing, and she hadn’t even seen any of these images yet! ”That’s alright. The warning was appreciated,” she said after regaining as much of her composure as she could. The young woman turned to face the desk and began attending to the documents in front of her, signing her name with a flourish on each one.
”Is that all that needs to be done? Aside from combining our blood, at least,” she asked. Before waiting for an answer, Nai-Ran decided to preemptively remove the long, black gloves from her arms. There was no point in staining her favorite pair of gloves with her indigo-colored blood. Once everything was over and done with, she figured she could answer Emer's questions about her intentions for him. Originally she wanted to spring it on him once she was able to grant his freedom, but six weeks was a little long to keep someone guessing.

Emer stood there for a moment, as he looked at the girl, the worker had brought back the paperwork from earlier. A soft smile appeared on his face, as she signed it, he didn't know why he was at the moment, but he had guessed it was because for once she was about to see what he has been through. And when she does, she could honestly say she knows his pain. When she asked the question if there was anything else to do, he shook his head and brought his hand up to his face, he took his first finger and bit into it till it bleed and held it towards her. "There we go, it seems that now is the time to make this contract complete right?" He said looking at her, his eyes void of emotions for now, which should relax her, for what she was about to see. When the two of them placed their fingers together, to mix the blood the images and memories began to fill her head.
The first memory she would see, that had been so strong in his mind, was the first day he had been sold to the saiyans. His mother begging them not to take her son, that he was too young, the grey headed saiyan being persistent and taking the young boy anyway. This was the first memory he ever possessed, and that was being taken away from his family. The next one was him being dressed as a girl by the two saiyan twins he had been bought for, they took advantage of the young male, experiencing his body, doing things that no kid should. They dressed him in clothes that would be disgraceful for most people, and made him walk around the house in nothing but his boots as he had stated earlier. His childhood faded away, as later in the teen years began to fill her mind. This time it would be in the academy. The young Kagami was used as a field dummy.
The twin females would use him as a practice test, training their skills, the pain of each punch flowing into Nai's memories. Every time he got a new burn, a new bruise, a broken rib it was all there. Everything had been so crisp in clean in her mind as if it had happened to her. It was no longer just in the mind of the male. Soon the memories faded and went further into his life. Each emotion that he had felt, was transferred to her, all the meetings he had. The fights, and then his time he had to go with the twins and their father on a mission. There she saw the beast that looked as if it had been a giant mantis, with blades sharper than any sword. It was slicing through the rocks, and screaming loudly as it approached them. Then the pain of a burning sear went through his arm. As it was disintegrated molecule by molecule. It was essentially evaporated. When she saw what he had seen, the arm gone like ashes in the wind. The father behind him, a giant hole in his chest.
The memory continues as he fought to get the girls out of there. His back being torn into by those claws, as he protected the twins carrying their father. Fighting the enemies with his fist and feet. Brand new cuts burning into his flesh, almost feeling as if she had it done to her. She could feel the agony that he had experienced. And worst of all, could feel how close he was to passing out. Soon it skipped as he last saw the cave crumble down on top of the monster. He had been tired and couldn't remember much. Though the next image was crisp and clear in his face. The girls punching him, hitting him with their own attacks. Blaming him for their fathers death. Though a fellow warrior had stopped them, explaining that now wasn't the time. The three of them left the Kagami there to die. The blood running out of his body, as he was burned from their blast, and beaten to a pulp.
The next image, was him crawling to a space pod. Monsters slowly getting closer to him as he crawled inside of it. His breath was ragged, as he felt several of his bones had been broken. Then it all faded away, the tiredness overcoming his body at the brink of death. That's when Alith had first come to the young male. The warm embrace over his body, as if a woman holding her child, it enveloped his body, making the aching in his body stop. And it felt so peaceful, he was finally relaxed. The memory fades as it goes to another image. A male saiyan standing in front of him, holding up the contract. He spoke of how he had been sold to the saiyan army. His previous owners had sold him to the saiyan army, and there he would be a grunt, doing anything his commanding officer commanded him to do. If he had disobeyed, he would be punished.
Needless to say, it had happened sooner than one would think. Their first mission, the males had been denied their pleasure before leaving. As the Kagami was summoned into the tent, the memories of all the other kagami's filled his mine. The males doing different acts with the saiyans, some giving them a personal blow. Others bending over and begging for their so called masters to give it to them. When ordered himself to undress, Emer had denied the order, and upon that, pain filled the mind. Intolerable pain, as the saiyans constantly and continually beat him down, holding his head up to make use of his mouth, they had stripped him down, burned him, put new scars upon his body. Marks caused by their energy, some by their own hands. Then the next act he could never forget. They took turns using his ass to their pleasure.
The feeling could be felt in Nai, she could feel everything he had felt at that time. When they where done taking turns with him, they had left him laying in the floor. Telling him to get ready for the next battle. Hardly able to walk, Emer placed the armor back on himself. The battle to come, took pain to a whole new level. As he was already hurt from before, just moving now took a lot out of him. The faces of children and the elderly dying before his hand, as he killed them in cold blood. No thoughts had filled his head. And he didn't seem to displace any difference between them and the soldiers. His orders where to kill everyone that had come within his site. And well, he was doing exactly that, women, children, it didn't matter to him he killed them. This single campaign went on for three months. And each night he would attend to several of the saiyans at once. It had become almost like something natural. She saw all that he had, and what he had done.
Soon that memory ended as he went to several other missions, killing off thousands of innocent creatures, pleasuring saiyans now not just males, but females as well. As they had begun to allow females to join on the escapade, he wasn't just pleasuring one sex now, but had grown accustomed to doing whatever they had requested. Then came his most recent mission. The boy memories of standing around all the dead bodies of his comrades, the boy named Plum, and then the two twins finally seeing that the Kagami had still be alive. They cursed him, and even wished him for dead. But soon that image was replaced as the enemy had come out of hiding, the four of them the only survivors of the first wave. Plum being ripped right before his eyes, then the blessing of irith filled his body. Aliths cold nature took over him, and his memories replaced.
The next image was him landing on earth, where he had meet, Holly and the acrosian in the frozen mountain on his first landing. Then the next thing she saw had been the tournament. And then the woman he had fought, she had started as a small thing. Then she grew into something massive, with teeth that had been sharper than knives, each one at least two inches long. She felt the pain of him losing that tournament, the blessing causing his body to implode on itself, causing his muscles to rip apart each time he used it. The next image however was of Nai, his feelings and thoughts flooded. He had thought she was cute, but her kindness had touched his heart. Then it turned into sour feelings as she found he figured she just wanted a slave. As his emotions where revealed, but truth be told he was happy that he had seen some kindness in this world. Suddenly it all ended and the worker asked. "Um... Ma'am you going to finish the paperwork?" As Emer stood there looking at her.
He said one thing. "Now you know what I feel..."

Nai-Ran followed Emer’s lead and bit down on one of her now exposed fingers, her fang puncturing the skin with ease. She paused for a moment, staring at the bead of dark bluish-purple fluid that was gradually seeping up from the small wound. What was she getting herself into? Come to regret this later or not, there was no getting cold scales now. It was time to take the plunge.
Doing her best to steel herself for what was to come, the Ryashi pressed her bleeding finger against his. The world around her seemed to melt away in an instant, and she soon found herself experiencing events in a completely different time and place through Emer’s point of view. As she had predicted, the memories weren’t pleasant ones. In fact, no amount of mental preparation could have possibly prepared her for what she was now going through.
A family that was torn apart... Humiliation at the hands of a pair of Saiyan twins... Being used for target practice... Losing an arm... Flesh ripped into by foul beasts... Beaten and left for dead... Sold into the Saiyan army... Passed around as a “pleasure toy”... Countless bloody battle after bloody battle... The ground littered with corpses as far as the eye could see... Alith entering his body... Coming to Earth...
Every single injury Emer had ever endured, Nai-Ran felt it. Every time he was shamed, she was there feeling that as well. The Ryashi had never experienced anything even remotely similar to what was happening here. It hurt. She wanted no more of it. Why? Why wouldn’t it stop?
When Nai-Ran finally came back to her senses, she found that she had fallen to the floor and been writhing around wildly. Even when she realized she was once again back in the Capsule Corporation building, she kept eyes closed up tight and was desperately clutching at the sides of her face. She wanted to curl up in a corner and hide in the coils of her long tail. She wanted to start sobbing. She wanted to vomit. The images and sensations that she had experienced in that brief period of time wouldn’t be forgotten for a long time, if ever.
The young woman dared to open her eyes for just a moment to look down at her arms. There wasn’t a single mar on her skin aside from the tiny point on her finger that she had pricked with her fang let alone having her entire arm missing. However, she immediately shut them again as if she was afraid that she might see more. The marks still felt like they were there even if they were nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, a stern voice cut through all of the chaos in her mind. It belonged to her father. ’Nai-Ran, you’re a lady. Ladies aren’t allowed to show any negative emotion where others can see them. Get ahold of yourself.’
The Ryashi stilled her writhing, though she was still twitching a bit. It didn’t matter how horrid the images were that she had just seen, nor would it matter how long they would stay with her. For a long time she was taught that she had to mask any negative feelings she might have while in the presence of others. A young woman of high society and the next potential leader of the Rujju Sands couldn’t be seen in such a state. Not only was it disgraceful, it made one look weak. How was she supposed to handle the problems of others and keep things orderly if she couldn’t even keep her own affairs under control? Perhaps that behavior had been acceptable when she was three, but it certainly wasn’t now.
After a couple of deep breaths, Nai-Ran carefully picked herself up from off the floor and slithered back over to the front desk. ”Oh, y-yes. M-My sincerest apologies f-for the delay. I thought I was f-f-finished,” she stuttered, trying get her quivering lower lip to cooperate. She was obviously still quite shaken from the ordeal and would stay that way for a while, but she was making an effort to steady herself. The young woman would have to find time to slip away for a bit at some point later to deal with these emotions of hers. For now she continued to fill out the necessary paperwork as instructed by the employee, though her penmanship was notably less smooth than when she had begun.
Once the woman was satisfied, she gave Nai-Ran a weak nod and swiped up the paperwork. "It looks like you’re all set. Thank you very much for using Capsule Corporation. I’ll go ahead and get this sent off to where it needs to go. Please... err... come again!" she said rather quickly before once again disappearing into the back room.
Trembling, Nai-Ran turned back to Emer. A forced smile plastered on her face as she was still attempting to calm down. She didn’t really know what there was to say to him about what she saw. At the very least, there was nothing to say about it in her current state of mind. She might decide later to exchange some words on the subject when she had a clear head, providing that he was willing to talk about it. After all, they had at least six weeks together.
”W-W-Well then, shall we be off? I think the-there’s at least one m-more stop we should m-make before departing from th-this city, unless you had something you wanted to t-take care of first,” she suggested. ”I live out in the D-D-Diablo Desert. If we p-put together what little I h-have left with what you h-have, we should be-be able to get you one of th-those handy little c-capsule houses. You might l-l-like something with air conditioning.”
Nai-Ran gingerly picked up her bags once more with unstable hands and slithered over to the door, holding it open for Emer as she continued to speak with him. ”Th-that is, unless y-you would rather sp-spend your money elsewhere. I w-would recommend picking one up th-though. I’m n-not too keen on sharing my bed chamber with non-related m-males. It wouldn’t be-be proper for a lady. Besides, I-I’ve never seen any other spe-species that are built for d-desert climate like we Ryashi are. It w-would do you s-some good to have some sh-shelter from the desert sun.”

Emer stood there for a little bit, looking down at the girl seeming to wither and twist in agony for a while. A small tsk came out of his mouth as he watched her for what seemed to be forever. Finally it seemed that she had opened her eyes, looking around at what was around her. A soft smile on his face, to greet her when she finally looked at him. "Well, it seems that this part is done... Now I suppose it's time for us to go, at least for now you got me to do whatever you wish." He stated looking over at her as she began to pick up her bags. It seemed that she had been shaken pretty bad. Feeling a bit guilty about it himself, he walked over to Nai, as she was speaking about a few more stops.
He'd place his hand on her head, listening to the girl speak about the desert, he rubbed her head softly, as he had the saiyan twin, when he was on his final mission. It was a soft touch, even with hands that had been this rough. He looked forward towards the doors of the building they had been he listened to her for just a little bit, speaking about how she didn't feel comfortable sharing a bed with a non-related male, that made him laugh a little bit before speaking about that part. "Well, technically I'm no longer non-related, well in some ways I am... I happen to still be a stranger to you, as we've just meet, but that could also be said you know me more than anything." He said closing his eyes, letting his emotions relax themselves, he remembered those memories, and had them with him constantly.
"Now, lets get to this last stop in this city for you, as for me don't worry about the capsule house, I lived on planets that got hotter than the desert here, and I've survived with no roof before, all it'll manage to do, is probably make my body a bit tanner than what it is currently." He said making a joke out of it. As he began to walk out he turned around to her, a small sad look seemed to linger in his eyes as he spoke. "I'm sorry you went through all that, no one should feel what I have... And no one should see the things that I have... Nor experience them yet you got the full course." It was then that she could see, even if he portrayed himself as emotionless, he was always battling down the anger that had risen within him. Which one could guess had made it where it was easier to push others away. Holding his hand out to her, he spoke calmly.
"I'll take the bags, at least till you stopped the stuttering and have gotten control of yourself." Without letting her decline the young Kagami took them out of her hands, slinging them over his back gently, to make sure any perishable objects where not crushed, and nothing was broken. He turned his back towards her and began to walk away, the best thing for her, would be to get her moving, at least for her to forget what she had seen, it would be better to get her out of that place. Suddenly Alith was inside his head speaking. 'That girl, I feel sorry for her... She just experienced what I did when I first entered your body... I had no emotions when I had been Iriths warrior, but as soon as I entered you, and those memories flowed into my own, I nearly cried. She's doing well holding back the emotions she has, even if she has that fake smile.'
Looking over Nai Emer couldn't help but frown a bit, though to Nai it seemed he was just saddened at her stuttering at the moment, or it would seem that way. 'She's trying to act proper, but if anything she's probably shivering at the moment for what has happened to her... I'm honestly surprised that this woman can keep such a facade up, I'd of broken down several times over myself. But that's probably because I'm still getting over it.' Nai could see his eyes changing slight colors, representing that he had Alith talking to him, fading from red to orange and back again. 'Well... You know she took this on without any prior knowledge of your life... You should atleast let he know what she was about to see.' A small chuckle escaped Emer's lips. 'I think you did that yourself though, I mean you got close to her, and made me look like an idiot, being nose to nose to a complete stranger... Well not a stranger any more."
Suddenly Emer felt light headed once more. He looked down at his bandages and shook his head slightly. ' I can't believe I forgot for a moment, the shape I am in. I let her experience all that, even the pain from the tournament, she has to be shivering... She had the full force just piled onto her, all that pain. On our home planet the elders did this to pass down the knowledge of their time to the younger ones. The Blood bonding that most experience... At least she only broke down for that long though...' Emer thought for a moment before choosing his words. "And uh... Don't ponder to long over what you saw... And well, I'm glad you're still alright, puts a smile on my face... Try to stay that way." She could see the slight smile on his face, though he hadn't turned towards her.

The Ryashi closed her eyes as Emer placed his hand upon her head. It was actually surprisingly gentle for someone who had been through so much. She took a couple more deep breaths as she continued to try to push back any emotions that were interfering with keeping her composure. In the end she was still feeling unstable after everything that had happened, but it did help calm her nerves a tiny bit.
Nai-Ran returned his laugh after he made his comment, though it was still sounding slightly forced. That much couldn’t be helped at the moment. ”Technicality or not, an unwed lady’s bed chamber is n-no place for anyone aside from said unwed lady,” she insisted. The serpentine lass continued on with her chipper demeanor regardless of what she was feeling deep down. Okay, perhaps it wasn’t all that deep down since she was having a bit of difficulty trying to pass off this little façade of hers as acting natural.
”No need to worry y-yourself over me. Like I said, I’m stronger than I look.” It was all she could really think to say when confronted with what she had seen. Had he had not known exactly what sights and sensations had popped into her mind the moment that their blood had made contact, the young woman would have tried to pass them off as not being all that bad. There was absolutely no way that that would go over well in this situation though. She would just have to keep at it and hoped the trembling ceased.
When offered to have her bags carried for her, Nai-Ran shook her head and was about to speak up in protest about it. However, Emer gave her no chance to do so. He quickly grabbed up her shopping bags and carefully slung them over her shoulder. Nai-Ran bit her lower lip for a moment before sighing and deciding to forget about it. It’s not like what she had purchased was all that heavy. All that was in there was bedding, cookware, and a couple of other odds and ends. If he really wanted to carry them for her, she would go along with it. Though, with the way he kept pushing himself like that, it was starting to look like a possibility that she might have to carry him back to her cave.
”Thank you for your concern. I’ll see wh-what I can do about that,” she commented, looking up and just barely seeing the edge of the smile on his face despite having his back turned to her. It had been a long day. A good night’s rest would probably do the both of them wonders.
As the two of them wandered down the street, the sun was just beginning to fall behind the city’s skyline. It wouldn’t be too long before nightfall. There weren’t all that many people left to share the sidewalk with, and most appeared to be on their way home so they didn’t really have time to stop and stare. The shops would be closing down soon as well. Thankfully, the particular store she had seen earlier wasn’t too far away.
”Whether you’ll be able to survive without one or not, h-h-having somewhere to rest without being exposed to the elements is important. It’s not wise to push yourself past your limits every chance you get. Your b-body and m-mind need to be able to recuperate on occasion. Personally, I think having your own space is also important,” Nai-Ran explained. Something about the fact that he wasn’t just going to go along with acquiring such a thing didn’t shock her. However, she did note that he didn’t flat out refuse. Maybe he was mulling it over. ”If you really don’t want to com-combine our funds and purchase one right now, then I suppose th-there’s not much I can do about that. Just don’t be surprised if I hand you one out of the blue at some point. I would get one for myself if they made a model that I could easily fit inside and use without n-needing legs.”
Nai-Ran located the moderately sized shop that she had spotted earlier with a bunch of different pictures of capsule houses, as well as their respective capsules that contained them. However, she stopped in front of the large window and turned to Emer rather than going inside. After all, there wouldn’t be much point to browsing what they had if he didn’t feel like picking one up. ”B-Besides, you may very well decide to leave my company in roughly six weeks or so. Having a portable shelter may come in handy.”

Emer looked down at the girl slightly, and he let a small laugh escape his lips. It seemed that she was going to continue the little facade of being ok, when he knew that she had nearly experienced nearly an entire life time of misery in just a few second. Emer let a small yawn escape his lips as the sun began dropping behind them. Turning his attention to the small globe, it glowed with multiple colors, ranging from orange to blue. Back to a orange and slowly turned to a purple color. A soft smile appeared on his face as he spoke. "That is one image, that kept me going." He said looking at the highlighted sky before turning his attention back to Nai.
She mentioned his body once more as the bandages seemed to be turning to the soft crimson color. "I suppose I shouldn't push myself to often then... If that's what you desire." He said looking at her. He seemed to be different... He wasn't so stubborn now that she held his contract, but he still shook his head gently about having him buy a capsule house. "I wouldn't know how to work this thing you call air conditioning... I've grown up in a cave my entire life pretty much. There's not really any weather that would mess with my body. In fact, it's healthier for me to be within the heat. It'll allow me to sweat out any toxins that would begin to fill my body." He turned to look at the bags he carried, noticing they had been for someone just moving into a place.
'Sides, It wouldn't be right anyway, for me to take anymore of her money, she's already bought the contract, and that alone had cost more than his weights had. But it seemed that she was just looking out for me... Guess I'll repay that kindness at some point' His eyes seemed to just be staring into hers, without him saying anything, in fact he was deep in thought, so his eyes where displaying many different emotions at once. And they hadn't left her scarlet like eyes. Finally his thoughts where broken by her speaking about him leaving her side in six weeks. A soft laugh escaped his lips as he looked to the sky. "Depends, if you get rid of me, than I'll be gone. Other than that, you're the first to show me kindness, so I might just stick around for a while, till you get tired of me anyway."
Emer began walking away from the shop, before turning around looking at her, his entire personality seemed to be lighter after he shared the blood bond with her. "I'm sorry that you went through that, but it's allowed you to see the darkness in my soul. So I have nothing to hide from you, I'll be able to act myself. Believe it or not, I like to have fun. I smile sometimes when something nice happens, other times I can be an asshole and have a stubborn head." He said tapping his skull slightly, "That could possibly be split fifty-fifty with the goddess inside of my head. As she is more stubborn than I at some points. But I guess that's all women..." He said thinking back to how his mother had been. A small shiver went down his spine. "They can truly be scary.."
'You're damn right we can be scary. You're lucky I don't take a big ass bat and ram it up your ass." A small laugh escaped Emer and he looked towards Nai. "You don't wanna know what Alith just said, but it was a funny comment." Though he noticed her still stammering a bit in her sentence, the Kagami set the bags down, before suddenly approaching the half snake woman. His arm wrapped around her slightly bringing her in with a tight hug. "Hey, you don't have to keep the facade around me, just let it go. If you continue to fake your emotions, you'll break and probably become like me. A half sociopath being, that kills for a living." He said in a joking tone as he pulled away from her. "See what I mean, I'm a bit crazy, I got a talking woman in my head. Two of them at that..." He said remembering Irith.

”My re-requests of you during our time together will be very limited, but it would make me feel a lot better if you w-weren’t so harsh on your body. Give it some time to rest so that it can heal properly. You’ll hear a lot less badgering from me, th-that’s for sure,” the young woman commented with a wink in Emer’s direction. Back on Appodorra, Nai-Ran was a bit notorious for playing the typically ‘big sister’ role whenever either of her combat instructors set up a group training day. She could be grating if she had to be.
The Ryashi let out a small sigh alongside a shrug of her shoulders when her suggestion to buy a capsule house was declined. ”S-S-Suit yourself, but don’t be surprised when I spring one on you anyway sometime in the near future,” Nai-Ran replied. She made a mental note to return here at some point and grab one up anyway. Emer didn’t necessarily have to use it if he really didn’t want to, but she wouldn’t feel right at all if his only option to sleep at night was just out in the desert sand somewhere.
”Well, once the paperwork has been all taken care of and y-your custody has been given to me in its entirety, that decision will be com-completely up to you,” she spoke with a smile in response to what he would do after six weeks had passed. ”You’re certainly w-welcome to stay as long as you wish. There’s not much in the Diablo Desert aside from the cave in which I’ve made my home, but I wouldn’t turn down th-the company. The only thing I ask you to do in the meantime is give my earlier question some more thought. Y-You know, the one about what you want out of life.”
Nai-Ran began to slither away from the small shop not far behind Emer. There wasn’t any point in lingering any longer if there were no more purchases to be made. It would be dark long before they made it to the Diablo Desert, so perhaps their best course of action would be to set out as soon as possible. It was going to be a long trip for Nai-Ran with her mind in such a state. She didn’t see any feasible way to slip away on her own at any point between here and their destination without raising any suspicions. At least the mood on the outside was a lot lighter than it had been earlier. That would make it more bearable.
”Like I said, there’s no need for any ap-apologies there. I’m alright. My decision to go through with it was my own and no one else’s,” the serpentine lass continued to insist. She knew that the way she was carrying herself wasn’t doing her any favors in proving her point, but she wasn’t about to let up on her unconvincing charade. If nothing else, she at least didn’t have to work hard at changing the subject since Emer was keen to do that all on his own. ”Ohoho, we women can indeed be s-scary if that’s what we desire. It all de-depends on whether you cross us or not,” Nai-Ran commented, accenting it with a bit of a devious laugh. It sounded a bit off since she was still stuttering with her words. Either way, her comment was made to sound even better when Emer pointed out that Alrith had also said something on the matter.
Suddenly, Emer placed her bags on the sidewalk and scooped her into a tight hug. Her bright red eyes went wide and she could feel her face flush a bit. Okay, that one was DEFINITELY new. Being born into high society, spontaneous hugs simply weren’t something that was done in the circle of people with whom she associated with. Even her three closest friends gave her warning beforehand, and they were all somewhat petite females that fit the image of the typical Ryashi heiress. Oh well, it wasn’t so bad. Just a little surprising was all. ”Crazy isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It keeps the boredom away.”
Once she was put down, Nai-Ran turned to face her new friend and folded her hands neatly in her lap. ”I... I appreciate your concern, and I may sound like quite the hypocrite when I say this, b-but I’m afraid that that’s a request I simply can’t comply with.” Her forced smile didn’t leave her face, but there was a slight somberness to her tone as she talked. ”I understand that I’m failing to wear th-th-this mask correctly. I would like to apologize if it’s causing you any stress. However, to remove it would be neglecting years upon years of training, and that’s not something I can afford to do,” she explained before slithering further down the street. The young woman had already had one major slip up today. She wasn’t about to allow herself another.
”The Diablo Desert is to the South of here. If y-you’re certain that you have no other business to take care of in the city, then I would suggest that we get a move on. I believe it should take a-about two hours from here.”

Emer stood there for a moment as she spoke, it seemed that she wasn't going to give up the facade, nor buying him a house. Walking beside the woman, he was deep in thought about what had been discussed, she had admitted that being crazy would make for some nice entertainment, and then she spoke that it would be up to him whether or not he stayed around. A soft smile on his face as he looked to the sky. "I guess that depends on how these six weeks go, I don't think it'll be right if I leave a woman all alone... It'd just be plain rude..." He said looking over at her, a sly smile on his face. She'd be able to notice the smaller cuts on his nose now, as he was relaxing without a serious face.
Leaning down the male picked up the bags and started walking along with her. Before he spoke, "Besides, if you buy me a capsule home, I'm probably going to get it modified, to where you can fit in there yourself. Have it like a giant place we both can stay in. Well, even if we have our own rooms in that sense... Since you don't like having a non related male in your room..." He said looking towards the sunset in front of them as they walked, his mind had been a bit busy now, as Alit had begun talking to him, it seemed that the conversation from before was still going. But now it had toned down slightly, as he began to think about what he would be doing with his life.
'So... What do you plan to do Emer? You think you'll be able to live a peaceful life after your freedom?' Alith was curious as he had the offer of his freedom in his grasp. 'Sadly no, I won't be able to stay in a peaceful life, I may even die away from this place... I need to free my race, and destroy the saiyan empire... I don't think she'll mind too much though. Once I'm gone, she doesn't need to know about my death.' He didn't think anything else about the topic before he began to look around a bit, listening to Nai as she continued to speak about how she had been trained that way for years upon years, and it would seem that they both had their own paths to so to speak. Suddenly he blacked out for a moment knowing that Alith had forcefully taken over his body.
"Nai, this man is an idiot, I've grown to know him over this past few years... But I do want you to know, that he plans to die doing what he believes in... He figured It would be best not to tell you about this... I mean he doesn't take in regards of friends, and if he does stay after those six weeks, I wouldn't get to use to him... Matter of fact, he knows in order to set his people free... He'll die." With that Alith seemed to fade. To emer it felt as if he had just went blank in the mind before looking over at Nai. "I know this feeling, Alith took over didn't she?" He said slightly confused.
Suddenly his eyes and hair turned to a different color, it wasn't the orange of when Alith had been inside him, but now they where a light blue, nearly like that of the sky. "I don't think we've meet yet..." A soft woman like voice escaped his lips. It was soothing and soft, it was unearthly, as it had several pitches to it. "I am Irith the protector of the goddesses. Emer is lost is his struggle of revenge, and as Alith said, It would lead to his death... Even at the cost of freeing his people, his body would give out in the end... With you showing him kindness, he's been questioning himself. I'm glad he meet someone like that for once... When I first had been taken into his body, I cringed at the memories he possessed."
She continued walking for Emer, so it would seem as if he had never stopped. "His body right now, even though he won't tell you, is tearing muscle by muscle, and each tendon is snapping on it's own. The pain he feels is intolerable for most mortals... And yet he keeps his sanity.... He will probably crash as soon as you get to the cave... Maybe even before that, as he used our power at the tournament, to try and win... Was a foolish mistake to grant him the blessing, but It was needed, otherwise he'd have died..." The goddess made his scarred face appear like it did before all the scars, it was clear of any wounds, and seemed to be a bit more in color. As it was darker with his soft red eyes looking at her. The eyes seemed so kind, as they held no anger.
They had been a softer shade of red back in the past. "Don't mistake his looks to have always been like they are now. He used to be a sweet thing, even during the times of the academy, it was after he had been sold, he turned into a... lost soul..." With that Irith seemed to fade as his hair turned to the snow white under his hood. He seemed to continue walking, his scars reappearing on his face, his eyes the dark bloody red they had been. "Welp... It seems we got a long way to go... and tt seems that it won't be any different than on a march... Hope you can keep up with me Nai-ran." He stated looking at her.

”Perhaps. You would be a free man at th-that point. If that’s how you wish to use it, then by all means. You won’t hear any complaints f-from me,” Nai-Ran pointed out. When he smiled at her, she noticed that he had even more cuts than she had first realized. It was still hard to believe he was still walking around with his body in such a state. Had she not been an emotional wreck on the inside and if she thought she could have gotten away with it, she would have hoisted him onto her back and insisted on carrying him the rest of the way, much like she had done with Houri when they had first met.
”If such a thing can be done with ca-capsule houses then I would be willing to give it a try. There will be no guarantees that I would sleep in there while in the desert though. I like the feeling of sand beneath my scales. It r-reminds me of home,” the young woman agreed. She hadn’t the faintest idea that you could ask for modifications on things that you bought. You could do no such thing in Appodorran markets. If you weren’t satisfied with what the merchant carried, you would have to come back another day.
Nai-Ran sighed as the two of them approached the city limits. She still couldn’t believe that she was leaving Satan City as a slave owner. Sure, it was only temporary, but her father would be absolutely furious with her if he knew about it. She couldn’t help but imagine him glaring daggers at her from behind and giving her a harsh lecture about how foolish this decision of hers was. The young woman kept trying to reassure herself that he would understand once she had set Emer free, but the image wasn’t leaving her. As if the disturbing mental images still fresh in her mind that she was desperately trying to push down weren’t already enough...
Suddenly, Alrith’s voice once again sprang forth from Emer’s mouth, relaying an alarming message. Even after all of this, he was planning on dying? Setting one’s race free was in fact a noble goal, but how was he hoping to accomplish it? Something told her that his method didn’t involve diplomacy in any way. Was he planning on travelling to their home world and going crazy on every Saiyan he saw? That wouldn’t serve to free anybody. No, the most that would happen in the scenario is taking a few Saiyans to the grave with you. Surely Emer couldn’t really be thinking about trying anything so ridiculous... Then again, the images she had seen when experiencing his memories had been awfully gruesome. After witnessing all that, Nai-Ran wouldn’t really put it past him.
When Emer’s voice returned to normal, he asked if Alith had taken over again. Nai-Ran nodded slowly. She wasn’t really sure if she should tell him what she had heard or not. If Emer knew that she was aware of what he was planning on doing, he might not have been as receptive to her hospitality that she was planning on showing during his stay with her. Of course she was going to try to talk him out of it. However, if he remained oblivious to her knowledge of it, she might be able to use a more subtle approach to things.
Even if Nai-Ran wanted to inform the tall Kagami about the words Alrith had spoken to her, she didn’t get the opportunity before he changed yet again. His eyes and hair both shifted to a shade of light blue, and another feminine voice had replaced his own. It wasn’t Alrith this time; Nai-Ran didn’t recognize this one at all. She introduced herself as Irith. Ah, so this was the goddess that Emer spoke so highly of. It also must have been what he meant when he said he had two women in his head. Nai-Ran felt the urge to stop and bow as low to the ground as she could since she was in the presence of such a powerful and respected deity, but she still wasn’t in her right mind at the moment. At the very least she managed a small bow; hopefully Irith wouldn’t be offended at such a gesture. ”It is tr-truly an honor that a woman of such power and importance would g-grace me with her presence. My name is Nai-Ran of the Rassuto, a Ryashi that hails from the desert planet of Appodorra. Please, call me Nai-Ran,” she introduced herself.
The young woman listened very carefully as Irith further explained Emer’s situation. Once again, Nai-Ran found herself wincing at the fact that the man’s body was going to completely break down if he kept going like he was. She really, really didn’t want to bring up the fact that he technically had to take orders from her for the next six weeks, but she would if that’s what it took for him to take a break and allow himself to recover.
Irith temporarily made the scars on Emer’s face vanish, going on to talk about how he hadn’t always been like that. Nai-Ran believed it. After all, she had been there inside of his head for some of those memories. He definitely had a kind side to him even with everything else that was going on, which was promising. Hopefully Nai-Ran’s efforts would be enough to change his mind about the suicide mission he seemed to be planning.
The scars quickly reappeared back on Emer’s face; his voice returned to normal once again. He seemed to be oblivious that Irith had possessed his body just now. Nai-Ran intended to keep it that way. Even if he really did decide to set out on his own once he had been set free, she was determined to do what she could to attempt to show him there was more to life than fighting for survival or vengeance. Trying to heal the scars that were below the surface wasn’t going to be an easy task. The Ryashi was going to try though.
”There’s n-no rush; the Diable Desert isn’t going anywhere. Please don’t hesitate to speak up if y-you need a breather,” she replied with a smile. With that, off they went.

Will Nai-Ran be able to handle Emer's proposed contract? Will Emer and Nai-Ran be okay on a planet full of dangerous humans and other beings? It's hard to tell when all sorts of issues like cars are involved, but find out next time on Dragon Ball: World of Souls. If they can survive Diablo Desert...
