Back at the peaks of the Frozen North, you could hear a sudden growl echo across the plains. Beastly, not wanting to welcome anyone. Rather, it was just the hybrid Raida waking up; his yawn even caused small rocks to crack down from the ceiling of the small cave that he made his bed. It wasn’t soft at all, but it provided with shelter for the night. As he rubbed his eyes, Raida would quickly scan the area around him with eyes of a pure-blooded predator; they would land on a certain ki concentration in the shrubbery, one that was moving quite fast. His body jerked as he leaped from his earlier position and all the way to the source of the ki in an instant, kicking up the source that appeared to be a wild boar. It lead out a loud scream before losing its life landing on Raida’s open palm. A cracking sound could be heard from its broken spine, settling as he moved back to his shelter. He threw the breakfast on the ground and proceeded to devour the upper part of its body, keeping the rest for dinner later. Oh, how tasty it was; Raida rarely had the occasion to smile, except in times like these. He wiped meat and fur off his mouth with a satisfied burp, before moving out of the resting place to make sure that nothing had made its unwelcomed presence around here…
Mt. Paozu was rather calming, more so than Mt. Frappe with the lack of consistent avalanches and rather excessive snow. Now the worst he had dealt with so far was merely rain or the occasional animal. He walked out of the moderately sized marble home, looking upon the smaller tree line that he left standing around the terrain he cleared for his structure. He hoped to see these trees grow to a much larger size with time, but was content with the current positioning of the trees as they stood there. The small deciduous oaks were in good health, their small leaves a brighter green than the namekian himself; but this was only a sign of their impending growth and increase in size over time. The other trees further into the forest were all fully grown, placed at almost randomly undecided positions around one another. He could hear hundreds of birds, chirping in the trees in and around the area next to him. The consistent sounds would take some time adjusting to, but contrary to the sounds he had come to like the small sparrows that would occasionally come to him seeking nourishment, even when he had nothing they still came and the thought of this brought him joy.
"Holy shit... did I forget something at the cave?!?"
The thought flashed across his mind, instantaneously setting him into a momentary setting of confusion and concern. In a mere moment he launched himself into the air and flew towards the northern mountains, unconcerned on who may spot him or notice his power... not that he knew how to suppress it or anything.
His eyes scanned the entire area. Bushes, rocks, puddles, everything was checked by Raida and his predator-like setting. Luckily, his resting place didn’t appear to have been visited by any rivals or other animals, which confirmed its safety. Now, he calmed down a little and yawned, welcoming the morning. A small tear would trickle down his cheek by the yawn, but he didn’t sleep early last night anyways. A small fracture of a bone was still stuck between his teeth, which he tried to move off with a finger. Although, something interrupted the draconian saiyan; as his eyes moved up, he caught a scent of a stranger approaching. Any wild animal would protect their territory from whatever intruded them, so he launched himself up in the air with a tall leap, spotting the dot in the distance. He would stand in the way of whoever appeared, growling with eyes that shone green and the setting of a beast… a dragon, in which a silhouette would form itself behind him. That draconian beast, in the form of a hybrid wild-boy…
Namorel Powerlevel: 5,130 [Base -75% Heavy Weights]
Almost nothing drew Namorel's attention as he launched himself forward, leaving the southern hemisphere in a fury to make it to the north. Even the scouter resting on his face didn't bother him, not realizing it was there as he flew forward. The wind whipped his cape wildly as he flew, rippling wildly. His eyes were narrowed and would net be visible from any distance aside from head on. He could see the mountain peaks rising rather slowly in the distance, a rather significant one at that. IT came to a surprise to him when the beeping on his scouter indicated that there was a moderatly irregular power level nearby. He stopped for a moment to examine the number, not being able to discern a difference between his own and the number indicated on the small screen. Rather considering the number and following the tracker to its location to investigate, it wasn't like he didn't have the time to kill, he had nowhere specific to be.
He could smell it. He could almost hear it. The presence of an intruder was definitely near. It caused Raida’s animalistic instincts to take charge; his teeth pressed together, the green aura boiling and his intimidating appearance should be enough to scare away whoever dared to enter his territory. However, something else was to be sensed; Raida could see a dot of ki in the distance. Now, the wild boy had no idea of what ki was, so he guessed that he was just tricking his own mind as he shook his head. Concentrate at moments like these… whoever was around here had to pay.
A moment passed, before Raida took off. It was time to chase the intruder out, instead of waiting for its arrival. You could see a green flame scattering the clouds as he flew, practically looking like a Japanese dragon soaring through the sky. It was a rather beautiful view, but he was anything but embracing beauty at the moment. If you looked closely, you could see the green dragon charge right at you, before braking mid-air until it stood right before you; however, no apparent dragon had arrived. Before the strange and green person was Raida, all fired up and with a serious look on his face. The silhouette of a dragon just wouldn’t leave his side, nor would it ever fade away…
A clear sky, a beautiful setting for the interaction Namorel was sure was going to occur. The clouds were few and those that were in the sky floated gently at Namorel's level. He stopped for a moment to allow his cape to float gently int he wind at this altitude, his weights making flying a more tenuous activity, but overall he knew these efforts would be rewarding. It took no time however for the scouter to light up again and train Namorel's eyes to a green figure rising into the sky. The entity was unlike anything Namorel had seen before and he was rather curious about it, watching ti with trained eyes as he continued its flight upwards, tearing the clouds in half as it reached Namorel's level.
"You must be the power I picked up on my scouter."
He said to the green clad entity, only coming to realize it was a saiyan of some variety. He was an odd one, Namore knew not how else to reply. Instead waiting for the saiyan to speak to him instead on whatever reason he had for interrupting Namorel's flight through the terrain. He was in fact on a tight schedule to get back to Mt. Frappe.
The green, strangely-looking guy talked to him. He talked words that Raida could understand… however, Raida was quite confused of his statement. Nonetheless did he send a cold look right into Namorel’s eyes, before replying: “Who are you?” Meanwhile, the young saiyan felt something else surge out of Namorel; still not knowing the term ki, he appeared quite aware of whatever power that Namorel had shown out. “You… This is my territory,” he continued with the same intimidation as earlier. Every wild animal had a territory of their own, and every predator kept theirs in a high level of protection. They wouldn’t let a single fly enter their home without facing a threat, and Raida was of the same conviction. Therefore, he looked ready to fight, not thinking of this person’s intentions yet. He only wanted to defend his home from yet an unknown guy that might’ve not been a threat at all…
"You've entered my home... so fight me," he spoke to the green being. It was rather unusual for Raida to say anything to an intruder; he would usually just chase them away at first sight. However, after his experience back at the city, he grew a little into this thing called 'martial arts' and how one challenged an enemy/opponent. If this guy was a threat, then he would make sure to do his best to erase the issue. If not, then he would most likely have a little fun in this early morning...
"Territory? That is an interesting perspective of land claiming... I may borrow that."
The namekian would interject sarcastically as he listened to the saiyan before him. He was a peculiar and very animalistic individual that admittedly reminded Namorel of Noxa in a way, but even Noxa had some symblance of refinement to her attitude, at least in the company of others... he had no idea how she fared on her own and he was unsure if he wanted to to be honest, she was a peculiar enough individual when she had people around her and Namorel could only guess that small bit of human dissolved some when she was on her own and that thought both scared and intrigued him. Meanwhile the saiyan requested a fight with Namorel, the namekian considered taking off his weights to fight, but knew that if he did he would gain no benefit from them... so he should see how this individual fights and if he stands a chance before resorting to that.
The namekian silently nodded as he turned to a plateau and flew to it, motioning for the saiyan to follow him. The impromptu arena was mostly flat at the top and would be the perfect setting for their fight. Be it a spar or a real fight Namorel was very interested. He rested his feet gently on the gassy stone of the plateau and took his stance, spreading his feet about three feet apart and turning his left foot inward as it rested in the front of the stance. His weight in this form was centered perfectly and offered him maximum efficiency in movement options from there. His waist stood perfectly center of this form, rising up to his torso that set back slightly, but not to a huge degree. His arms were spread apart, one rising above his head and lurching forward and extended some, ending in a clawed hand position, his claws facing inwards. Meanwhile his other arms stayed bent at his side and his fist clenched. His form resembled a snake, the rattle resting and beside the coiled body, leading to the head that hung, ready to strike at any moment. This stance would appear to be an open one, but only a fool would attack it directly.
It appeared that the green man accepted, giving by his nod. Raida smiled confidently, but was still a little sceptic about this person and his connection to this place; he mentioned that he may have borrowed it, which sounded quite unreal for the hybrid. Predators didn’t share territories in general, so what was this guy meaning? Maybe he was making fun of Raida? That thought made him grin his teeth in fury for a brief moment, before settling his focus once more as he would follow the namekian to a specific plateau.
He landed his feet on the flat floor, watching the other fighter prepare himself. Something was very odd about him; rather, a lot was odd about this individual. His appearance, his smell, even his stance was strange to Raida. Somehow, he could feel his blood rush across his veins faster than usual; perhaps it was due to excitement? Remembering what he saw back then, he moved his foot across the floor, until it stuck out compared to the other foot that rested in the center of his position. Having a good foothold at the moment, he fixed his eyes at the namekian, before charging in an arc around him, using his hands to grab the ground and pull him forward. Despite the green aura that leaked out of his skin, it resembled the run of a gepard, while Raida closed up beside Namorel, sending an open palm with outstretched fingers towards his waist.
Namorel Powerlevel: 5,130 [-75% Heavy Weight Reduction]
Namorel watched the saiyan charge at him, almost laying low to the ground as he drew closer to the namekian. Namorel realized it was reminiscent to that of a wild animal, perhaps his style was born form his living in these mountains or he taught himself based on the activities of the animals he was around. His ki took a similar shape as it leaked from his body as he charged at Namorel. The saiyan attempted a low blow at Namorel's waist, but Namorel would not allow this as he jumped into the air and would come down unto the saiyan with his knee bent, focused on knocking the wild saiyan to the side with a swift kick, perhaps even closing in with another follow up kick. He hoped this fight would be one to remember and as it continued he pushed aside his original reason to come to the north, more intent on fighting this saiyan now.
Just as the saiyan attempted to launch his nails into the Namekian’s waist, the figure of that green man disappeared just as Raida’s attack was a few inches from connection. His attack was aimed quite low, in which Raida could quickly grab onto the granite beneath him and swung his heels upwards, soon to launch himself towards Namorel, who appeared to follow up with a quick kick. From that angle, Raida couldn’t but pull his knee towards the kick in order to block it, but as soon as he recovered from the heavy impact, he launched himself back onto the surface.
One kick, and Raida could already feel that a direct hit from this guy would leave him open, perhaps deciding the battle’s result. With a faint smile, he charged up again and proceeded to pull the Namekian to a corner with a volley of claws, punches, knees and kicks; if that happened, then he might find a chance to launch out his newly-discovered technique…
Namorel Powerlevel: 5,130 [Base -75% Heavy Weights]
It was a quick moment as Raida was knocked to the side after the kick ultimately failed to end the fight quickly. This rather disappointed Namorel as he was hoping to get to the mountains soon, but this was a persistent opponent and he found himself to be having quite a bit of fun. This opponent, while not in his unweighted combat range was on rather equal grounds with him in this weighted form. He knew that he would probably not have to go into his Great Namek transformation to deal with the opponent.
"Good, show me more of your strength."
NAmorel said to his opponent, watching as he launched back at the namekian with intent to strike. Namorel formed a set of gauntlets that together equaled out to about sixty percent of his power level to those that could sense them. they covered down to his elbows and completely covered his hands as he once more took a stance to combat the retaliation of this opponent.
Words came out of the green man’s mouth, revealing his interest for the battle and a prompt for Raida to step up a bit. Yes, the boy understood very well what was said there; he wasn’t a fool. In fact, those words boosted his courage as he suddenly found himself quite close to the phenomenon that was happening. Bright light covered the hands of the green fighter, the same atmosphere as the fierce blasts that Raida could fire off from his mouth… wait, there was that!
He was close by, the opponent was open (or so it looked like), in which Raida found a smooth chance to launch out his ki blast; his mouth would open up widely, and from the middle of his mouth hole, a green ki ball was pressed together. It was only a matter of such a small amount of time, before the ki blast was fired off towards the green man’s head…
Namorel Powerlevel: 5,130 [Base -75% Heavy Weights]
Namorel watched, waiting for the saiyan to strike him. Had he not made it obvious enough that he was promptly giving his opponent an opening, or was he? This fighter had a peculiar manner to him that Namorel found very intriguing. It was informal manner he had seen similarly in Noxa the first time he fought her except this one showed some symbolism of traning to it.. perhaps something brief? He did not really know and even if he asked the question a further answer may still elude him. He kept his eyes on the opponent though as he kept his illusion of a lowered guard. Compared to Namorel under the weights he was a formidable foe, but were the namekian to take the weighted clothing off it would be too much in his advantage to be entertaining.
It would be an instant later before the saiyan once more threw an attack at the namekian, it didn't appear to be one of great force, but it was once Namorel would need to block with an attack of his won charge. Unleashing a large sword of ki from his right hand, slashing it in front of himself to block the blast. Following this up with a charge towards the saiyan with the blade in his right hand, ready to slash at him were an opening to make itself present.
Raida was assured that he’d been better at firing the ki blast out this time, compared to his other times where he needed more concentration to release this strangely new power out. Although, the green guy was all strange and mysterious himself, and Raida was unaware of his true potential. As the blast seemed to reach its destination, Namorel appeared to cut it away with his hand. Huh? Was that even possible? Raida didn’t find himself that weak, but he would receive the answer a moment later as Namorel approached him rapidly, aiming his ki-cloaked palm at the half-breed. He didn’t find the situation suitable to dodge, but used his hands to grab Namorel’s ki sword with a lot of difficulty. It even caused his feet to dig deep into the mountain surface, while he did his best to keep Namorel at place. Who knew, maybe it would turn off? Either way, Raida could still feel the damage coming from it as he wasn’t that skilled at blocking things, not to mention his beginner knowledge about the way of ki.
