#921 walked through the forest, thinking about what had happened. It had been several days since he had escaped from the hellish slave caravan, but he could still not get over what he had to do. So many died. So many destroyed under the rubble. But he couldn't let his mind rest on this. He had to move forward. He had to keep going. No matter what happened, he would keep going. That's why he was taking this walk. To get away from everyone, even Rafar, and clear his mind. He only hoped someone wouldn't interrupt him.
Unfortunately for the Android, his walk would be interrupted. An Arcosian was just past the treeline, and it seemed he was busy. Lord Retsu stood in a small clearning, all around him were logs, and various stumps. He had made the clearing himself in preparation for his new home. For now he was gathering resources so he could complete his goal.
He however turned his head, when his scouter warned him of a power level over 1000 approaching. It wasn't anything to worry about, but it was nice having a scouter telling him about things. He turned in the direction of 921 and looked about slowly, trying to see him through the treeline. "Hello out there!" He called.
#921 heard the arcosian, and waved his hand in response. He began walking towards him, clearly wanting to see what he was doing. The cyborg had come wanting to be alone, but he was intrigued by the arcosian being out here. He came over to the area, watching as the arcosian cut down trees and piled them up for lumber. "Hello there," He said, curious. "What brings an arcosian like you to Earth?"
He watched the Android's approach and crossed his arms. "I, like many others of my kind are Refugees. Our home planet was destroyed by the saiyans." He sighed. " I however am here because the planet I ruled over was destroyed."
He looked the Android up and down slowly. "A question for a question. What are you doing so far away from civilization?"
"Oh, I just like being out here. Away from everyone else. Helps me clear my mind, you know?" #921 said, averting the arcosians glance. This wasn't the whole truth, obviously, he hadn't mentioned the slave caravan, or the rampage from Rafar. But that wasn't a memory he would like to revisit. All the death, all the destruction, the chaos. It horrified him, and he didn't want to discuss it. "So, what are you doing with all that lumber?" He said, eager to change the topic.
The Arcosian Lord hummed at the Androids answer to his question. He took in the fact that he refused to look directly at him. As if he was guilty of something, but what Retsu had no idea. He brought his arms behind his back, Looking somewhat like a fighting stance yet there was no aggression in his movements.
"I'm collecting wood so that I may build myself a new home when the time is right." He shut his eyes and nodded. "Its what I've been trying to do since I arrived on this planet but a month or so ago."
There was a grin on Atreyu's face as he was sprinting out of the forest. Deeper in was where his pod originally landed years ago, just outside the deeper parts of the forest was a destroyed town. Courtesy of Atreyu. As he ran he had a lot on his mind. He had rarely left the forest with the exception of his early morning runs, but this was the first time he'd be permanently leaving. He had planned to now explore this planet since he was now strong enough to leave. Though these thoughts were interrupted, and Atreyu actually fell and rolled onto the ground, sitting as he felt an incredible power level. This one dwarfed his own, yet after being amazed by that one, he actually felt another similar to his own! He was surprised it didn't take long for him to find such strong people besides himself. It had only been twenty minutes at that! Though this power level wasn't going to put him down. He decided to run over to it and find out just exactly what it was.
"Ah. Interesting. Would you care for some help?" #921 said. It would help take his mind off of what happened, and perhaps give him a bit of a rest. It wouldn't be very hard, after all, all that he would need was to get some lumber. He quickly looked away however, upon his scouter alerting him about his power. He looked over, seeing a lean saiyan, running near them. He appeared to be surprised at the sight of them, and it intrigued #921. "Hello there! What brings you out here?" He yelled. All these people coming were great, perhaps #921 could train? Getting more powerful was always better, it helped him stop more suffering. Stop the chaos that kills so many.
"If you would like to help be my guest. But I cannot pay you." He said. "And if I could I wouldn't. Its not a task worth pay. Considering how simple it is to cut these trees down." He turned looking to another tree, before firing a ki ball at it, blowing a dozen or so trees apart. He'd then go and collect them.
As he lifted the tree's his scouter would warn him of another power level, close enough to the Androids. He turned slowly, only to catch a glimpse of a saiyan. He dropped the tree on the ground before holding his hand up, his icy aura appearing around him. "Stop right there, Monkey." He said.
he went over to the two, though was surprised to see two people. He went to the strong one first, but somewhere a bit farther out was somebody relatively close to his, and a few that dwarfed his, though he didn't understand why he couldn't sense this other person's energy! He pushed the though to the side as he was spoken to. "Ah! Hello! What brings me out here? Well.. I'm just leaving my home for the first ti-" He was cut off by the other, the one he surely didn't want to fight. The other had a power level way above his. He figured he'd have to stick to his good side. Atreyu turned his gaze to the one with the power level before speaking. "Err..Yes?"
Rafar staggered through the paths between the ancient pines, vaguely heading in the direction of his campground. He still wasn't sure what happened, he just remembered brief flashes of his time as an Oozaru. Then, he woke up with a splitting headache and a bad left leg. Hearing several voices up ahead, he stopped short, recognizing the modulated tones of 921 and the clipped sentences of Retsu. He wasn't sure who the third person was, and limped towards the conversation.
He watched Restu hurdle multiple ki blasts into the trees, stating he was making a house, and 921's offer to help. He hesitated at the tree line, not sure how 921 would react to him after the last time they met. Deciding to stay hidden for the moment, he watched Atreyu's awkward introduction and snorted in amusement.
"Maybe you should learn how to make a good impression before getting stronger." He muttered, barely audible.
#921 turned to Retsu "Stop. This man has done nothing to us. We should not immediately reach for our weapons. We must bring peace." He said, as he turned back to Atreyu "You do not need to answer to him. He is not any better than you." He soon pulled out a blade of energy, slashing through a tree, and pulling the tree up and throwing it on the ground. He soon shot out a thin blade of energy, cutting it in small pieces, and throwing them near the others. His scouter sensed a power level near his own, and he looked over. Walking to the power, he cut down a bush, seeing Rafar. "Rafar? That you?"
Retsu Narrowed his eyes at the newcomer, staying at the ready for a few moments before standing up. He crossed his arms and looked to the android who spoke before rolling his eyes. "I had to make sure he wasn't of hostile intent. I can't tell you how many fights I've gotten into since I arrived on this planet." He returned his Gaze to the newcomer before speaking up. "We're collecting wood, so that I may build a home. You can help, or you can leave."
His scouter let out a beep, telling him of a nearby power level trumping the other two. He turned towards it, only for Rafar to appear. "Fancy seeing you here, Rafar." He said. "Its been a few weeks since we last ran into each other. How have you been fairing?"
Rafar would start in surprise to 921's apparently unplanned revelation of his location. Warily walking into the clearing, he would dust himself off and say, "How are you two, haven't seen you in a while." He would then stand about half-way between the android and arocsian. "It is good to see you again Retsu, though this is a bit of a turnaround from our last meeting." Rafar would gesture to the surrounding trees and stumps. "Anyway, why are you cutting down the whole forest?" Rafar would ask in an attempt to cover up his obvious lurking. "Didn't think you were an environmentalist, but this is a bit extreme."
He would then look at 921, "Hey, sorry about before, I was kind of running out of options." He would say this awkwardly, vaguely remembering a flash of the android's friend Tim's crushed skull lying under a heavy beam. "Maybe our next outing should involve slightly less wanton destruction." He would ignore Atyreu, judging the pair's obvious indifference to the human as a sign of a low power level. He really needed to get a replacement scouter, it was kind of getting annoying.
Atreyu calmly observed them as he spoke, yet wasn't surprised at the new arrival since he could sense ki. Though for some reason, only two out of the three present he could sense, the other, he didnt understand why he couldn't yet that wasn't his top priority at the moment. As they all seemed to know each other, and conversed, he looked around. It seems the trees were being taken down, as he listened in on the strongest one saying how he was building a home, asking if he'd like to help.
He nodded and gave off a smile now, deciding he didn't have much going on, simply exploring the world now that he deemed himself strong enough. What would cutting down some trees do to harm him? Well, he'd actually been doing that since he was a kid! "Of course! I'd love to help out!" Atreyu held the smile a bit longer before strolling over to a grouping of trees, where he'd get to work to taking them down, one by one he'd punch it with enough force to drop the tree.
