It is said that a true Saiyan warrior will never give up, even in death. Even in death, Carva wandered the depths of Hell. First, he would find the information. He'd learn of a special energy needed to reform a soul's physical body, and he'd then go on to find this mystical energy. He'd answer riddles from a rat in the Forest of the Damned. He'd free the souls of a thousand dead warriors by defeating a worm...risking his own existence.
For what? Simple. He had to become physical once again, and get his vengeance on those who'd wronged him. Breech, Plato...even Walker. But...as he floated along with Madam Crowe and Master Gouda, he couldn't help be think of something else...his mate. Her arms around him, the smell of her hair. She would be pleased to see him once again in his physical state.
Upon the horizon stood a huge set of stone monoliths, arranged in a circle, a large slab of stone engraved with ancient ruins in the center. He would look down at the old lady, his voice questioning. "What, may I ask, is that? Where are we going?"
Madam Crowe stepped toward the stone slab as the three entered the circle, answering Carva quite matter of factly. "This, my dear boy, is the Fated Circle. Legend has it that when an offering of Shoki is made, along with a lost soul that said soul can retrieve themselves."
"Hrmf..." Carva huffed, folding his ghostly arms over his chest. "...for your sake, you'd best hope that you are right. I'm not sure how much longer I can stand being..." He growled. "...feeling...so weak."
"Relax Lord Carva." The old rat snickered. "After all, if it doesn't work what are you going to do? Haunt us eternally?"
Gouda and Crowe looked at one another, sharing a good laugh at the expense of Carva. The cloudy warrior's form would turn dark for a moment and he would snap at them. "Oh just shut the Hell up and do it already, will you?!"
The old woman mumbled as Carva barked orders, taking Gouda with her as she stepped up to the stone slab. The sky in Hell was black that day, the cloud's gathering over the spot where they now stood. There could be a storm brewing...or it could be the influx of Shoki leaking from cloud Carva.
Upon the slap laid what appeared to be a body, but...it wasn't necessarily what Carva had in mind. It was better...sleeker. The body would look exactly as he had in life, but not as bulky. Just tall, and toned to the point where there was not an ounce of body fat on it. And...it had a tail.
The woman began to chant an incantation as Gouda spoke a mantra. "Spirits of the underworld gather...gather and welcome this soul. This is the soul of a warrior, a brave and merciless fighter...his name is Carva, and he has come to reclaim what he once was! Welcome him...welcome him into this new body so that he may no longer be lost!"
"Argo megata tecuros...etos aluda fretchka! Muna, Muna etos...fetchka letos CARVA!"
Thunder rumbled, and the sky...those acrid black clouds...they lit up with bright flashed of lightning. The blue Shoki energy would begin to leak forth from Carva, the warrior's ghost screaming out in pain...as if he was being ripped from reality itself. The Shoki itself would form a glowing vacuum of blue energy, the energy surrounding the new body becoming a bright orange.
The body inhaled sharply, pulling the cloud of Carva into it. Suddenly...
...everything was silent.
Thump.
Thump thump.
He sat there on the slab for a moment, feeling the heat of Hell tingling against his skin. Carva was alive...and in hell. The feeling of having a heart beat had felt so new to the Saiyan warrior as he stood, stretching his muscles then throwing a few lunches at the air with a wicked grin. "Ohhhhhh yessssss. Back in action...now..." He tilted his head toward Crowe and Gouda, insidious intent in his eyes. "...about that extra bit of Shoki..."
Madam Crowe would step forward, extending a hand palm up. She'd been using the energy to stay young, and Carva knew this. "Yes. We upheld the end of our bargain, Gouda and I. Now it's your turn."
The large hybrid looked from side to side, then shook his head. "No. I never said you could have it." He'd say, his smile fading as he raised his left hand, a small seed of orange energy growing. "But I can give you a different kind of energy...one which will end your suffering. You won't even worry about being young anymore!"
The startled, and weakened Madam Crowe quickly stepped backwards as the warrior charged his attack. "Wait...w-w-what are you doing?! Don't do this! I-"
"Die, witch."
Crowe screamed out as the attack left Carva's hand, and began to run as fast as she could in the opposite direction, the powerful ball of energy following her and eventually catching up. The woman cried out in agony as she was engulfed in the burst of orange ki, and eventually...was erased from existence.
Carva's cold gaze fell on the rat next. "You still want to make jokes, old man? Or do you want to be erased too?"
"N-n-no...none at all, sir! Nothing funny about the situation, I'm a priest! Don't kill me!" The rat dropped onto his knees, staring at Carva through pleading eyes.
Carva simply chuckled and turned his back on Gouda. "Hrmf. I'll spare you, rat. But only because there's something I want...really badly. You just stay your ass here and do whatever it is that priests do in Hell, you useless sack of shit." His orange aura flared brightly, and he'd fly off into the skies of Hell with a loud cackle.
Carva had his body back...it was time to find his mate.
