Okay so due to some events I have planned in the future my mind has been on the Fission Mechanics we have in place at the moment. Right now, Fission serves mostly as a detriment and there isn't any reason to consider it unless it's for IC reasoning. For example: right now Helix and Xylo are connected and due to that Helix has been dead (due to no fault of his own) for quite some time now because Xylo got murderized on Namek. The only slight upside is that one of them can drag them out of the afterlife (but that could also be seen as a downside if someone wanted to stay in the afterlife or someone was busy getting training.)
For potential upsides I was thinking:
>The character splitting a piece of themselves can opt to sacrifice an amount of their base power level to give the fission character a higher starting power level (I was thinking up to 50k)
>If one of the players doesn't wish to play as the character any longer they can choose to merge with their fission (ala Kami and Piccolo) transferring half of their base power level to their other half but at the cost of their character.
>A dragon ball wish could be added to sever the ties between the two characters. If this wish is made the characters will not be able to be merged again and they'd be treated as two separate characters

Id assume in the case of the wish being used that Namekian's can still fuse, ye? It doesn't say Namekian's have to be fissions to fuse after all.

If this wish is made the characters will not be able to be merged again and they'd be treated as two separate characters I'm going to go through each point you made as best as I can. But, I will open up with what I commented with before: Fissioned characters, in a specific case, two Namekians who were originally one that have split into two, are created that way via their player deciding to do so. Before anyone finalizes their character, I'm sure they are aware of the in's and out's of the mechanics with this. And now, Point One: I can't really get behind this due to the nature of Namekian fission. It's assumed that the power is split 50/50 when a Namekian can separate, such is the case with Kami and Piccolo Daimao. However, also in the case of those two, one can opt to become incredibly more powerful than the other on their own. Piccolo surpasses Kami in the 3 years that past after his "birth" at the end of DB and continued to do so until Kami realizes he's better off adding his own power to Piccolo and fusing with him to create a "Super" Namekian. Point Two: We already have this implemented on the Namekian page. Along with all techniques. Point Three: In my opinion, the Dragon Balls are not strong enough to sever the ties of Fission. Piccolo himself was unable to fission into Kami and Piccolo again, as confirmed by himself in the Cell Arc, so I can't see any Dragon Ball being powerful enough to sever the ties of fission as well. I guess I'll apologize for being a Negative Nancy of sorts when it comes to this, but I'm just trying to keep it real as far as the canon goes. Although I can't really think of a way to accommodate for your third point, how about for your first point we allow Namekians who create minions via breeding / eggs to be able to add their own PL up to a certain point? As in, they can opt to permanently remove a certain percentage of their own base PL to infuse into their offspring / minion? Or maybe even extend this to new characters that other people would play, such as the sons of Xylo or any other Namekian? Maybe up to 10% so a base character would lose 10% of their PL, but the 75% minion would be bumped up to an 80% minion, or the Namekian's son would start with a higher base PL after the transfer. To prevent early game abuse of smaller PL Namekians I'd put a cap of needing to be at least 100k tier PL to be able to do this.

I'm thinking in terms of races other than Namekians at this point to be honest, though the idea of them being able to infuse power into a minion seems more like it should be a Mazouku trait for their children than a character fission.

That's fair, but you have to keep them in mind. Namekian characters would be the baseline for permanent, non-Potara Fusion and Fission, in my opinion. It'd be difficult to have mechanics for one race and not really another.
