Defrosch Thread PL: 1,100 It was a sunny day in the forest, the birds sing and the branches of the trees whispered in the wind. The soft sounds of the landscape around her soothed her, like Mother Nature had gently enveloped her in a blanket of calm. The halfling was rather curious as to how many species of animal there were, and took it upon herself to investigate to find the answer if she could. Tekuma had her trusty notebook under her arm, pushing up her oval framed light blue glasses as she scanned the landscape around her. Every now and then she saw a new butterfly, and even a moose like creature. Instead of running away, it lowered its large head and allowed the young demon hybrid to pet the muzzle of the creature. An odd new ki touched upon her senses, one she hadn't felt before. It certainly didn't feel like any race she'd met and no books would describe the ki she felt. The mooselike animal left as the girl was distracted by the sudden ki. Deciding to investigate, she pushed up her glasses and proceeded towards the new ki.

[ Thread PL: 78,483] [ UT] Liquid Ki - Mist Active! Ki suppressed to 10000]
Having recently visited East Capitol, Defrosch decided to simply have a good old walk for a bit. Sure, flying was a great way to get around, but there are some things that you miss seeing if you're all the way above it. The Arcosian had also purchased a nice selection of foodstuffs, much like every other time he did whilst visiting East Capitol, but he asked his friend Cerci to take that all back to the Lookout. In the end, he only had his MP3 player with him, and he was singing along to whatever it is that was playing. He followed the clapping and drum beats by letting very tiny grape sized ki balls burst with various pop sounds. Now, he wasn't the greatest, but he didn't sound all that inexperienced... Even then, he made up for the faults in his singing with spirit! He even did a silly dance a few times as he walked along. Of course, he wasn't unaware of his surroundings. His ki senses were sharp as ever in detecting other presences and there was one nearby, but it wasn't strong enough to warrant much attention beyond outright noticing it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfeDEES5TEE song is here~

Tekuma jumped up into a tree, jumping from branch to branch and keeping her notebook from falling out from under her shoulder. The hybrid loved the feeling of air rushing past her face, the tree branches sturdy under her weight. Soon enough she met an Arcosian, who was singing.
Curiously, the teen put her notebook and pencil against the trunk on the branch, and hung down by her knees with a smile on her face a little ways in front of the black and teal Arcosian. "Well hello. What are you singing if I may ask? Nice singing voice." The girl had vivid red hair and bright green eyes under blue glasses and was wearing a tucked into her shorts T-shirt, which prevented it from falling down.

Defrosch was getting a fair bit into the song, getting increasingly more inclined to dance a bit more to it. While he did notice the foreign ki signature was coming this way, he didn't exactly expect them to stop and greet him. Not many people tend to do that. So, the Arcosian's thought process stopped quite abruptly in the middle of his song, with a comically blank expression on his face he looked over at the nosy redheaded teenager. "Uh, thanks kid-" Defrosch paused, actually registering that she had apparently heard him singing. "... You heard nothing. It was the wind. Magic singing wind. Yep." He blurted out. An altogether shocking and embarrassing attempt at a lie. Someone's a little self conscious about his singing capabilities, it seems...

Tekuma was rather amused, albeit when Defrosch lied her smile fades off her lips and she landed on the ground after turning her body so she landed on her feet."The wind is scientifically incapable of producing humanoid vocal sounds, it has no way to vibrate like the vocal chords we have do to produce voice. Or is the wind its own being, for the wind to sing a song is scientifically impossible."
The female shakes her head, not really appreciative of such an obvious lie. The girl knew a lot about science, enough to tell the black and teal Arcosian was lying. Tekuma's bright green eyes were serious, lips closed as she waited for his response.
"I merely complimented your singing. Take pride in your abilities, no matter what field they are in. People judge me for being half demon, but I know more than the average teenager." Replied the halfling.

Defrosch started to whistle innocently, as if nothing happened while resting his arms behind his head. Of course it was a stupid (yet comical) lie. Even he knew that. He just panicked, and that much was more plain to see than any bizarre last minute fabrication of facts he could pull from the ether. "Yeesh, you must got to some kinda hard-ass school if something that goofy cause that kinda reaction... My bad."
"Yeah, I dabble. Its not like I can attract birds by whistling or something-" The Arcosian shrugged, only just having noticed several new arrivals perched along his arms. Several local songbirds. "- Oh come on." Though their presence might not be a result of any harmonious sound he created, but more the aura of peace he had, that he seemed entirely ignorant of.
Defrosch blinked a few times, this kid was part demon? Indeed, her ki felt like something more than a typical human, that much is certain. "Well that sounds like a big heapin' load'a their problem. S'unhealthy to be close minded like that."

Tekuma scratched her head in a rather amused fashion as the songbirds landed atop his arms. The fact he seemed peaceful enough to attract the pretty birds, and Teluma felt something land on her right horn. She was curious to see the bird, and whistled in the song of the bird species on her head. The halfling held her hand out, the pretty gold and black bird perching on her wrist.
"Oh, look.. A Goldfeather bird. These things are so shy usually. Yeah, people can be narrow minded. People poke fun of my tail and horns. The girl scratched her head sheepishly,

"Y'know I really don't get it. A vast majority of Earth's population are Zoanthropes. They've got tails too. Horns as well maybe." Defrosch rolled his eyes, and the birds that perched upon him tilted their heads to the side, as if imitating the Arcosian's eye-roll. He didn't understand the need for such stupid judgemental mannerisms. Even so, he could relate, being someone that also has horns and a tail even if such features were fairly different.

"Zoanthropes? What are those. Are they the bipedal humanoid animals?" Tekuma was incredibly curious, tail swishing softly behind her as she looked at Defrosch. The Arcosian interested her, with the fact he was rather peaceful. She'd taken Arcosians to be evil and warmongering just like the Saiyans, yet Defrosch had some strange aura of calm about him.
Was he even male? Did Arcosians have genders, or was that some stereotype imposed on the genderless. Tekuma really didn't know but didn't want to bring it up. "You seem strong. A lot stronger than I am, at least."

"Uh... Yeah. They make a sizeable portion of the Earth's population; what with being native to the planet like Majins and Humans- well, that one's obvious, but you get it." A long time ago, Defrosch might have asked if the teenager had a sheltered life under a rock, but now, the thought didn't cross his mind.
After all, knowledge was the cure for ignorance; be it intended or simply due to lack of experience.
Defrosch looked up towards the birds, and gave them a quick whistle for their attention. "Alright you lot, go on. Go talk to Walker or somethin'." The birds began to fly around the two before landing near a bush and began to chirp among each other. In reviewing the situation the Arcosian wondered if Walker had birds perch on him before, he thought it would be a funny sight to see.
"Hm? Sure, I suppose I'm fairly strong, it isn't something I really think about often." Defrosch shrugged freely, before properly turning off his paused MP3 player and putting it away in an armor compartment. "Besides, what even is true strength?" He chuckled, having grown fond of silly metaphorical questions recently.

Defrosch mentioned Walker; a name Tekuma hadn't heard before yet was curious now as to who it was. She noted what other things he said, and the metaphorical question she replied to with an answer she thought genuine. "I believe true strength is drawn from being able to trust your family and those close to you, keeping a good bond with all of them and working together. You can't accomplish some things without allies."
The young hybrid seemed quite smart for her age, demonic tail hanging behind her as a bird perched on one of her horns; faintly amusing the hybridess. "Since when did we turn into roosting places? Also, who or what is Walker?" The question slipped her lips as her curiosity rose, if this Walker was a someone she wanted to meet them.

"Mhm. That's a good call." Defrosch nodded, the hybrid had a good response to the question. He couldn't tell for sure if she believed it or if she simply borrowed the ideal from someone else, but in some bizarre way it was refreshing to hear someone unexpected say what she had said.
"Pff, how should I know? I can't read bird-minds." At least not as long as he refrained from learning the art of telepathy... Last time he tried to figure it out he created an abnormal kiai technique. Defrosch did note the hybrid's curiosity, and he wondered how she would react if he would answer said curiosity as literally and as bluntly as possible. "Ah, Walker is a tree."

Tekuma truly believed her answer, honesty resonating in her tone as she looked into Defrosch's cyan eyes. Her conviction was clear, and the girl couldn't help but giggle at his statement about bird minds. "You know- I wonder if birds are genetically capable of conscious humanoid thought. Most scientists disprove this theory that they can speak and think in human ways, but look at the Zoanthropes and tell me animals aren't smart." A soft huff came from the female, faintly amused as she proceeded to speak again, only to freeze as the Arcosian spoke of a tree.
Not just any tree, A SENTIENT TREE. What the hell?! "That can't be right; it's physically impossible for trees to speak as they have no human vocal chords nor the lunglike structures to allow for humanoid speech or even thought patterns. What is this, it just doesn't make any scientific sense! Next thing you tell me is that the tree has a gender and can do something like magic for all I know!" It was clear the halfling was very disturbed by this news; obviously quite the science book junkie as well to know much more than she originally let on.

"Who knows. Without the ability to read bird-minds, I'll never know." Another bird had landed on Defrosch's shoulder, a little silver one with green feathers on its head that looked to big for the bird itself. It was yet another rare bird, an Emeraldine Lark. "So, until I have conclusive evidence of either outcome, I shall remain neutral on the subject. They are, however, quite clever."
Defrosch gave a snort as the hybrid teenager jumped a right over the chasm of conclusion and into the abyss of abrupt assumptions. Now, she wasn't exactly wrong per se. Either in her assumption that said tree was sentient or that they could not physically speak. "Perhaps you are being a bit hasty? For all we know birds can speak to trees, and for all you know, Walker is but one with a name." The Arcosian folded his arms, rather amused at the situation right now. "Though, lets say hypothetically that your guess was spot on. What then?"
