(Thread PL: 18,146)
Amongst the cold of the North, the warmth that swept over him was glorified indeed, but Treylech soon found that he wasn’t as well off as he had first presumed. There was darkness. He saw nothing. Then, he saw everything. The darkness was swept away by a vision of clouds. He could see clearly, but it left an unpleasant taste in his mouth.
Sort of.
The so called taste was his consciousness attempting to grasp the fact that he had no physical form anymore. There were clouds everywhere, making up the floor and somewhat in faltering path for all the other wisps around him. They all seemed to be in a line leading up to an oriental looking building adorned with fancy statues.
He followed the rest of the pack toward the building. It was strange how easy it was to move around without legs. It was both natural and unnerving at the same time. He pressed on through the line, not really sure what they were waiting for or why he was there to begin with.
He remembered light engulfing him right before he showed up. Something about a woman kept flashing through his thoughts.
It was about this time he realized that someone was guiding the crowd into the building. The blue skin and horns made him look like a demon, but his facial features and outfit made him look like a kind-hearted chauffer.
Treylech was confused, and rifled through his thoughts. In his distracted state he didn’t realize that he had entered the building. When he came back he realized he was standing before a behemoth of a man with red skin and horns. He was awestruck, but he finally realized what was going on.
He was about to get judged for his actions in life. This was it. The afterlife.

"NEXT!"
...
"Hell."
-CLACK-
"NEXT!"
...
The repeated sound of a gavel smacking a desk made of the finest mahogany echoed across the Check-In Station. The Mighty King Yemma was seemingly quite annoyed today. His gavel smashed into the desk much harder than usual, giving his assistants quite the fright whenever it came down.
"NEXT!"
Something seemed off about today. It wasn't the amount of souls coming through, nor was it the seemingly uppity attitude most of them gave him. No, the reason was that his lunch was late. Five hours late to be exact. He had been keeping count this whole time.
"NEXT!"
The Ogre grumbled to himself angrily, thumbing through his ancient tome as a timid soul nervously recounted its worst deed.
"A-a-a-and I stole from my mom once two months ago! I took money from her to buy the new Captain Nova straight-to-video movie that came out!"
He sighed. The poor fellow hadn't done much wrong, he was just a bit annoying. He quickly raised his gavel, announcing his judgement, before slamming it down.
"Heaven."
The quivering soul in front of him let out a surprised gasp, as his soul was lifted away to its eternal rest.
"NEXT!"
His next soul was a strange one. The puffy ball simply sat there, staring at Yemma. The Ogre King raised a brow in confusion. This happened on occasion, but it was always annoying. He sighed in annoyance, gripping his gavel tightly as he stared the soul down. "Look kid, I know this is a lot to take in, but you had that entire time you were in line to drink the scenery in! You're holding up the line! Try to make this quick, will ya?"
King Yemma quickly flipped through his book, looking for Treylech's page while he awaited a response from the seemingly dazed fellow.

(Lol that mahogany.)
Treylech wavered in place. More than likely he was trying to shake sense back into himself, but without a physical body it just looked a little rediculous. He drew his attention back to the ogre before him.
"Right. Not used to death. I'm sure you already know the bad things I've done. Most of it was theft trying to get money to save my mom from dying."
He was more accepting of her death now. He realized there was no more hesitation or sadness when he spoke of his mother, but he shrugged it off.
"After she died, I stole to eat. Other than that, the only bad thing I've done is knocked out a nurse on accident. You obviously choose where everyone goes, I don't care about myself. I just want to know where my mom went."
(She was kind, if you're wondering. Worst thing she did was cough on her neighbor. Lol)

Yemma sighed in relief as Treylech spoke. He was afraid he'd be sitting here all day waiting for him, but luckily the boy found his voice. He quickly spoke his piece, and as expected, there didn't seem to be much evil going for him.
"Your mother made her way topside to Heaven, same as you."
The Ogre quickly raised his gavel, smacking it down onto the table with less force than usual. In the next instant, a heavenly portal would open up above Treylech, slowly delivering him to Heaven.
"Enjoy the food up there! One of us has to..."
He muttered angrily to himself, picking up the phone on his desk and quickly dialing some numbers. He tapped his foot impatiently, having seemingly been put on hold as soon as the person on the other end picked up the phone.
