He was out for a few days, and while he was out he'd go through spells of yelling in his sleep. His power would fluctuate wildly, and he would toss and turn, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. In his mind, he'd be brought back to finding his mother in a pool of blood only to learn that his own father had damned near killed her. He'd go back further then to the ridicule he'd received from purebred Saiyans... "Worthless mudblood. Nobody wants you." "Useless. You're not even a Super Saiyan yet! What do you expect to accomplishment?!""Maybe your mother SHOULD have terminated you before you were born!"He was haunted by his past, his power spiking. If Arias would have been listening, she'd hear him yell out in his sleep with a thunderous roar. "I am NOT a failure! I am not worthless!" And suddenly, she'd hear a huge explosion. If she ran into the room, she'd find Carva, smoke pouring from the palm of his hand...and a burning hole in the walls. Her mate's eyes would be wide with rage...and bleeding tears...

Arias quickly looked up from her meditation, throwing her ki out to prevent damage to the walls by negating his blasts. The concerned woman walked over to Carva, tending to the bleeding tears, feeling him over for injuries anew should there be any from the massive explosion.
Pulling a needle out of the first aid kit, she shuddered lightly. She hated needles. Prepping his arm, she'd inject him with a mild sedative. She didn't need him getting wound up in this condition.

He felt himself weakening as the sedatives took effect. The drug would travel from the needlepoint and I up his arm, through his veins, deadening the nerves keeping him awake. He would fall into a deep, deep sleep in which there would be no nightmares. There was now only darkness for Carva, which in this case was the best thing for him.
Long ago Carva had came close to becoming a terminated pregnancy, which would be why he was so adamant about making sure that Arias' own pregnancy went well. It was a strange feeling for him, as he'd never felt his heart warm for someone like her. At times, she could be abrasive and mean, but in that same vein he would find that attractive. He adored her, or else it would not have been so easy for her to sedate the beast.
That very next morning, he was vivified by glorious, warm rays of sunlight. A bit groggy, he sat up in the bed, his stark, black hair gleaming with a blue tint. He'd be a sight to see , his hair wild and everywhere like a protruding, black wildfire coming from his scalp. The stubborn hybrid gazed upon the beautiful form next to him and leaned over, brushing his lips on her forehead. “Arias ....my love..” his voice was delicate, soft...loving .
She and only she owned this tenderness in his heart. She'd saved him, again.

Arias was asleep, having fixed up the needlepoint area. Her hair was in her face, on its own it was really really fluffy. She felt him brush his lips over her forehead even in sleep, and rolled over groggily. "Five more minutes.." She grumbled, pulling the blanket around her.

If ever there was a time to conduct some light training, it was now. His mate was fast asleep in bed, covered up with her blankets. Make no mistake he did love her but he also had a duty as a Saiyan warrior and his duty was to never let his skills grow dull or his body grow soft.
The room was still spinning a bit from the mild sedative she'd put him out with, so he placed a foot off the bed onto the ground. This would reset his brain, and help him regain his equilibrium. Eventually he stood up and rubbed his forehead, blinking his eyes. Splitting fucking headache. He looked back at her and smirked. You were only concerned for me. I'll let you sleep in though.
He still moved with a slight limp as he walked toward the door, making sure he kept the bandages around his torso tight. He didn't need any ribs popping out of place and improperly healing after all. He winced slightly, not able to take in a full breath. A part of him thought this was a bad idea but another part, his pride, knew it had to be done.
He sighed as he stepped out into the biting cold of the Highlands that day, and groaned as he stretched and bounced back and forth on his tiptoes. His training would indeed be considered light as he practiced a few kick and punch combos. Hopefully Arias wouldn't be too pissed...

Arias lays in bed, still asleep as Carva sneaked out of bed and away from her. Grumbling lightly as her body picked up on a temperature change nearby. The fact he snuck out slowly registered in an always active piece of her mind, and as it came to a realization, she awoke with a rather angry aura.
Storming through the house, she threw the front door off its hinges. Her face was contorted in an angry expression. Angry was an understatement, she was PISSED. Growling angrily, the pissed Saiyaness stormed over to Carva, snow crunching under her fuzzy slippers. "Just what are you doing?" She asked, tail flicking behind her.

His mate? She was frightening to a normal man, but Carva had grown up around strong women. Which in turn actually made him more of a man than most men he'd ever met. As she came out there in her pajamas and fuzzy slippers, his emerald eyes fell on her. At first...it was just a snicker. Her slippers...her wild bedhead. But he couldn't help but stare at her. He held in his laughter as best he could.
Dropping his hands to his sides, he looked around for a moment, avoiding her eye contact. He was thinking...what to say? What to do? She was a woman...with Saiyan blood. So...he did something completely and utterly out of the blue. He did something most would consider insane.
He dropped down on one knee before her, staring up into her deep blue eyes. He said in the sweetest voice he could muster, being a gruff Saiyan warrior. "Arias...I respect your strength, and I do believe that your beauty dwarves even the queen's herself." He gave her that grin that he knew she loved so much. "It would be a great honor if you would...traditionally marry me?"
He knew she was pissed at him right now, but he also knew this was what he wanted. He waited with bated breath, on one knee before his mate, hair blowing in the wind.

Carva dropped on one knee before her, leaving the Saiyaness to merely stare at him. Was he just trying to get out of trouble? Sighing and rubbing her forehead, the pregnant woman looked down at her mate. "You really know how to piss me off, don't you?"
With a sigh as he grinned at her, the warrioress couldn't help but feel her heart soften somewhat. "You love able dumbass. Yes, I'll marry you." She replied, giving a small smile and dropping to her knees, hugging him close to her. The cold didn't bother her, for the warmth of love was greater than the chill.

When he dropped down on one knee that day and waited for her answer, it felt as if everything went into slow motion. The big, tough warrior's cheeks would turn red after he'd asked. Deep down, his pride would tell him that she should say yes. But deep down, a part of him told him that her Saiyan pride would make her shoot him down. As she sighed and looked at him, then said "yes", his battle scarred face would light up.
As she hugged him close to her, his own arms would go around her. He whisper into her ear. "I know that you want to kill me sometimes, as I am a pain in the ass but I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." A low chuckle arose from his chest and he stood, taking her hands in his and helping his pregnant mate to her feet. "Soooo...no matter how annoying I get don't, you know, kill me." He'd look at her, flashing a million Zenni smile, perfect teeth twinkling. The man had great detail hygiene.
He let her take it all in for a moment, then asked the question. "So when shall we go to Vegeta? I know I want you and I, and our child to be safe."

Arias would ponder the question about going to Vegeta. As much as she liked being on Earth, thanks to the cold which no longer bothered her, she remembers Walker and feels a chill slide down her spine. His warning rang in her ears, causing her tail to flick nervously.
"We can leave whenever you'd like, love." Arias replied softly. Ideally, soon but she'd let her newly named Fiancée to decide. A thought crept into her head about the name swapping ritual of marriage, commonly found on Earth.

The Next Day: Arias and Carva go shopping
An old Zoanthrope stood behind the counter in the downtown jewelry store. He was human, to be sure. But this human looked like a short, chubby cat with the darker face of a siamese breed. He wore a monocle over his right eye and was dressed in a pair of shiny black dress shoes, black slacks, a white dress shirt and a red vest, with Tiger print. He stood there with his paws on either side of a newspaper, green eyes following along with the words.
Ding.
His eyes looked up toward the door, and he did a double take as a near seven foot monster of a man strode in. This man was on a mission indeed, dressed in a set of navy blue armor with white trim, his long tail tied around his waist like a belt. He must have been frightening to the shop keep, he had dropped his newspaper, his mouth dropped wide open.
Carva, being the chivalrous warrior, held the door for his fiancee, making the comment..."Well, come on. It's time to pick out your ring, dearest." He'd wait for her to follow him into the shop, if in fact she wasn't busy window shopping outside...

Arias was actually a little bit shy about picking the ring, since rings were rather expensive and she didn't usually have expensive things. She wore black armor with white trims and a midnight blue inside color (instead of orange), and stays rather close to Carva.
"You know.. You could pick it." She whispered quietly, rubbing the back of her neck. Situations like his embarrassed her, as she'd really never been treated as well as Carva treated her.
A purple-gemmed pink ring with sparkles caught her eye, but the price was incredibly high so she would look for one cheaper, as to not spend too much. Carva may have noticed the interest in the ring she'd spotted, however.

Maybe it was the man's size, or maybe the SSE armor he wore. Either way, the feline shopkeeper shied backward as Carva paced behind Arias as she looked over the rings in the display case. The old shopkeeper would finally gather up the courage to say something after seeing that the two Saiyans apparently weren't here to kill. "Um...c-c-c-an I help you...with something?"
The public image of Carva was much different than that of what he'd shown Arias, and for good reason. He was still a loyal Saiyan, a warrior through and through. As a matter of fact, Arias' presence calmed his raging soul. Quite ironically.
The shopkeep's throat had a lump in it as Carva spoke, his voice cool and level. "My mate and I desire an engagement ring." He stated quite plainly, never one to speak to strangers at length. His large finger would indicate the ring Arias was looking at and he would look to her. "That one, right dearest?"

Arias noticed Carva saw the ring she had saw. The ring was very pretty, and was also shiny. Her favorite colors, the ring did attract her yet the cost was high. "I.. I ummm.. Yeah.." She stuttered softly, stepping back behind him.
The Saiyaness had a scarlet face, a little too shy about the ring. She was being near spoiled by Carva already, and didn't want to push her fiancé too far.

Carva found it odd that Arias was so shy in public with as proud as she was in their private lives and in battle. His stern expression almost cracked a bit as he saw their reflection in the store mirrors. A tall, muscular hybrid with a battle scarred face, his tail sliding from around his waist to slide around Arias and hug her behind him. Arias, a short, muscular well put together young woman. The two were a pair to be seen.
His tail sliding back around his waist, he looked at the shop keep with a cold death stare, emerald eyes gleaming in the shop's fluorescent lights. "She wants that one. How much is it, Earthling?" His finger indicated the same ring again.
The old shop keep stood there, frozen in fear. He was speechless.
Carva growled. "How....much....is....the....damned...ring?"
"Five hu-" the shop keep started, his voice shaking. The Saiyan was intimidating to be sure, glass vibrating throughout his shop as Carva's power fluctuated.
"You mean..." He grinned evilly. "...two hundred and fifty zenni, right?"
"What...I can't..." the Zoanthrope blinked his eyes, then put on a nervous smile. "...y-y-yes sir. Two hundred fifty zenni, and sizing? It's free! Shall I giftwrap it?"
Carva looked at Arias curiously for a moment, then realized the stupidity of such a question. He snapped at the old man, causing him to jump about three feet. Carva's voice was like the roar of a lion mixed with rolling thunder. "No you idiot, she already saw it so it would be pointless. Just have it sized..." He looked at Arias quizzically. "...dearest, what is your ring size? I mean, I know you're a ten..." He smirked at his little flirtatious comment toward his woman. "...but what is your ring size?"
