Somewhere amongst the towering buildings of the Cacumber Capital, we find the hybrid known as Carva. At six foot six inches tall, built like the perfect machine of war, this man wore the Saiyan Solar Empire armor with pride. He stood atop the tallest building in the city, his hazel eyes scanning the landscape. He was this city's sentinel, self proclaimed of not.
A slight breeze picked up, his wild black mane whipping in the breeze. He folded his arms over his chest, speaking to someone over his shoulder. "Do you want somethin'?"
"Sir Carva, my name is..." behind him, at his right flank, was a female Saiyan of about five foot eleven inches tall. She was quite beautiful, with wild black hair and brown eyes, wearing dark pink armor with black trim. Her leggings were white, blending with her boots which were tipped with gold. She raised a white glove to her face, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear as she introduced herself. "...Parsnippa, and..."
He startled her as he turned around, studying the woman. His senses told him that she was much weaker than he was. As was her partner, a heavy set male Saiyan wearing armor similar to his own. Carva rolled his eyes. "...and you were sent to assist me in exterminatin' those nasty rogue Saiba?" He scoffed. "As if I needed help. The least they coulda done was send me someone interesting. Not some weak bitches."
The male Saiyan growled, starting forward with a hand raised at Carva. "Watch your mouth, mud blood!"
Parsnippa looked at her partner coldly. "Tarro! Stop it NOW!"
The male stopped his his tracks, his tail flicking behind him. "Parsnippa, he needs to be taught some respect! I hate these damned half breeds, coming here to Vegeta. Thinking they can take over the whole planet. I bet he even thinks that he can become a golden warrior!"
"...." the huge hybrid said nothing, just simply looked out over the city once more. Shaking his head, his expression stoic, he snapped dryly at Tarro. "...shut up. I'm concentrating you idiot. Rumor had it those rogues are *hiding* in the city, like disgraceful cowards." His sense was becoming quite formidable the more he used it.
"Sir Carva...do you sense anything?" Parsnippa asked. She had a lot of respect for the warrior, as she'd trained under his mother. Rumor had it that he'd once eliminated an entire colony of aliens by himself. The most surprising, and frightening part? The moon was crescent that week.
"I sense two power levels..." he started, the corner of his lip curving upwards. "...one lower than the other. Quite disappointing, actually. But, I suppose the SSE figured they didn't need to send their most powerful, seeing as how....well...here I am. I hardly think I'll be needing you two, but I'll allow you to tag along. You might even learn something."
Truly, the two Saiyans were slightly insulted. But there was something about this near seven foot hybrid that just didn't sit well with them. Neither of the two wanted to start a fight with him, though they were sure he wasn't that powerful. But legend had it that hybrids had unlimited potential, and this was especially true with one of his blood line.
A born warrior, Carva sensed for a grouping together of higher than average ki. He shook his head. "Too many Saiyans out today. They should all go home."
"But...this is Vegeta after all..." Parsnippa had to bring up that point. After all, the warrior seemed to have stated the obvious. "...there are going to be Saiyans, it's like fish in water."
"Oi...just find the Saiba, Carva. Let's see if you're as "bad" as they say you are..." Tarro chuckled. "...or just bad."
He cocked an eyebrow. "What does that even mean?" His eyes widened slightly, and like a hunting dog, he faced a direction, Northwest of the city. "There. There they are. About...six of them. Hrmf. Not really that much of a threat, but in any event, I have a job to do." His aura flared for a moment and he lifted off, jetting through the air. As he flew, he yelled out behind himself. "Keep up, you two! I'll not allow you to slow me down!"
The two Saiyans bent their knees and pushed the energy downward, flying off after Carva. They were in no position to argue as he had been put in charge of the three person extermination squad. Rumors held that he'd once damned near killed a Saiyan in the gravity chamber simply for insulting his forehead.
As the three flew, the land beneath them passed by like a panorama. After about a half an hour, they were flying over a battle scarred landscape with swamps and gnarled trees jutting up from the land below. Carva spotted six, dark green forms. He stopped in midair, the two following along stopping short behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he called out to his cohorts. "Down there! Those are the Saiba, jumping around! Swinging from trees like monkeys! And..." he raised an eyebrow. "...eating a corpse? Hrm...didn't know they were scavengers."
"A-are...we going to...f-fight them?" Parsnippa asked, the hair on her tail standing straight on end.
Carva looked at the woman, his head tilted. "You sound scared, Parsnippa. What kind of Saiyan fears a fight? Pft. You know what? I'll do the job myself!" And with that, he flew headlong into the group without hesitation.
Tarro watched on as Carva began his assault with a flurry of punches, knocking a Saiba man into a nearby boulder, his leg kicking out behind him to send another flying into marshy swamp water. The Saiyan's eyes went wide as the hybrid fought, decimating the creatures surrounding the corpse, ki blasts blazing in all directions. "Un-freaking-believable...he's....he's a monster. Even by our standards, this guy is cruel..."
Snap! His hands on the back of a Saiba's head and the chin, Carva turned the creature's neck sharply and snapped it. The two Saiyans heard gleeful laughter as he drove a knee into another Saiba, the Saiba letting out a strange sound. "Kwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeee!" The Saiba bounced back, latching onto Carva and glowing, it's power spiking.
"Really? Fail."
"Kwee?" The Saiba "asked", noting the hybrid showed no fear as he was ready to detonate on Carva. The Saiba suddenly felt a strong hand on it's neck, it's claws losing their grip on the warrior.
Carva held the self destructing Saiba out before him, stoic expression on his face. "Batter up!" And with that, he flung the Saiba toward three others who were standing side by side. A hearty laugh echoed through the air as the Saiba detonated, sending green body parts and purple blood flying through the air. His eyes fell on the last lIving Saiba. "Trash. Die." It was then that Carva called out, yelling "Pumpkin Bomb!", his orange ki blast obliterating the last Saiba.
His two cohorts just looked at one another, then at Carva. Parsnippa shook her head, mouth agape. His prowess was amazing, even amongst the two Saiyan warriors. She then began to applaud. "Excellent work, Sir Carva!"
"Whatever..." Tarro commented, the hybrid'a show making him envious. He hated it, to be honest. "...took all the fun for yourself."
The dominant hybrid stood tall for a moment, then yawned. "Ahhhh well...you guys can keep the reward. I'm going on, perhaps mother has dinner done!" He laughed, his ki spiking as he jetted off past the two Saiyans, laughter still stinging their ears.
