The difference is there being 0 repercussions to dying then. Shoki is easy to get. Yea, it gets harder. But the same thing you said for Zeni posts could be said for Shoki. Even PL. What's to stop someone from having a 20k solo typed up on the side waiting to be posted one day?
The thread isn't for Zeni threads, it's for minion gains. To which the general consensus was minions are playable, but with no gains.

I retract my earlier proposal! Vi Poi is smart.

I would still have to respectfully disagree. I mean work for nothing is something that just leaves a bad taste. Reduced gains for the minion could easily offset the extra gains by the main. Oh well, tells me not to buy a minion now!

When you roleplay it should be more than just about the gains anyway. So what if you don't get shit for what foot soldier #1 does? You're interacting with people, moving plots along, getting to see how the loss of the character has affected characters that knew them. Also the fact that them essentially being extra maneuvers in combat when you ARE alive and with them makes them worth buying imo, besides the fact you may want an NPC you made to have more of an impact on events.

Again, spend the time trying to get out of the AL rather than playing as your character's minion.
Problem solved.

Only you might need the character in the AL for a reason, or someone might want to use the minion to work in their shop for a solo thread or something, as a little something fresh. There are lots of things this affects other than just "Dude dead, now plays minion because of it."

Not 100% I'm understanding you Kayle. The minions as of this moment RIGHT NOW cannot be played at all if the owner is dead, because they're not supposed to be independent of the owner.

I want my minions playable on the planet I was last on if I die. I don't care if I get gains or not, I want it merely to potentially create new plot and advance current plots.

so from the discussion in the C-box, somethings may be getting confused. Does this no gains rule apply to just dead mains, or all minions across the board? Because I am understanding it as ALL minions. I can see how getting gains on a minion if your main is dead is cheaty, but if they are alive and well that's a different story.
Just to clarify, I know this thread pertains to dead mains, but from what I am understanding, the no gains is being applied to ALL minions across the board, whether the main is dead or not.
Dead I understand no gains. Living, I really don't understand so much. If that is the case.

Tis discussion is just for dead. Living have no such limits--at the moment.

I know Minions wouldn't be able to leave a planet on their own...but would someone else's character be able to take them on their ship or something? (-Is assuming short answer: no. Long answer: NooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOoooooo=)
