Thread PL: 84,544 | Makyo Star: 845,440 | Heavy Weights: 211,360 | Ki suppressed to 1 | Has her 5k Guard with her -- Interplanetary Space was a boring place, indeed, as Kay-El Coliflo discovered for the fourth time. Well, the first time it had been horrendous, the second and third times she’d been with Pin and it hadn’t been so bad. That was in part because his ship was supremely faster than the pod that brought her and Nana to Earth but now, in The Pink Lady, even with the boosted speed it wasn’t the same. With Pin at least she got to know her brother a bit more as they traveled. Not having much else to do, they talked, and they trained. Her ship wasn’t big enough for a Gravity Chamber even if she could afford one, but that was alright. But those last eight hours of transit really killed her and, on top of it all, she still had to go off and recruit someone Pin pinned for the White List. First, though, she had business to take care of. The five (and a half) year old strolled off her new ship and watched as it shrunk to fit into a hot pink capsule that matched her ship’s primary color - pink with black detailing, The Pink Lady was a beauty and Kay-El was rather proud of her new purchase. But now was not the time. Maybe later she could show Core and Samba...thinking of those two brought a sense of melancholy, hopefully they’d forgive her. Core because she left without word and Samba, well, what she did to Samba might just be unforgivable. Hopefully, her plan to make it up to them would work as she focused her energy, trying not for the first time to send them telepathic messages now that they were on the same planet again. A technique Kay witnessed, no, experienced once from someone using it on her but was told in no uncertain circumstances that the woman didn’t know how to teach it. Such was life, she supposed, and despite her lack of ability to learn Ki Sense, she figured out how to use Telepathy all on her own. Core Stold If you can hear me, met me in the small way station we met in once before, I think it’s time to hunt that witch. Bring Samba , I think I could use both your help on this one. Before the deed was done, she sent out messages via Scouter to @alexandervoss , Arynx and Jax Punchlust . With the whole crew potentially getting back together, the world seemed a little brighter, even if she did have to leave this time. At least now she’d be able to explain everything, about why she left and made the choices she made. If she had to any of it over again, she would, because finding Pin proved worth it. Taking a seat at the very table she, Core and Mimikku sat at once before, she ordered some hot chocolate and waited. Having done a bit of research while away, she had the sneaking suspicion that vexing witch was holed up somewhere in the North. If anyone knew her, they might not think she looked all that different right now. Same long, curly, dark blue hair and matching, strange eyes. Slightly pointed ears and elongated canines that showed when she smiled, and the wings that folded neatly into her back like raised tattoos. But the Makyo Star was high and her whole body glowed with a swirling, greenish-blue, dim light that made it look like she was surrounded in the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean. If anything, it helped her blend into shadows better rather than making her stand out.

Again in one of Core’s day off from his training, it was very boring. When the days weren’t calling for him to train, Core wasn’t doing much except sleeping, going to the café, were he was right now and exploring a bit with Kay-El, which was absent for a bit of a moment, which Core was not questioning, after all, she had her private life, or maybe her phone was broken or something. During this day, Core had woke up early, so he simply went to the café were he could take a break from his training and relax a bit with a nice hot chocolate, which would help him to face this day easily, after all, waking up early wasn’t his thing so he was quite sleepy when he entered the building. Drinking some of his drink in small sip slowly gave him back his usual excited and happy nature, and those cookies he got with his drink helped him making him looking forward for this day.
The Arcosian had his eyes closed, listening to the sound of the rain outside which was really relaxing in the whole, the people outside were walking with their umbrella, missing the rain that was sadly falling each side of them, water felt nice and Core didn’t understood why those people would try to ignore it like this. But it was no surprise, there was still so much thing from Earth that Core didn’t understood, but that wasn’t so bad for him as he was still enjoying his life on the planet really much, everything that was positive about the place was far exceeding the things that were negative. Suddenly, Core would sense an echo in his ki-sensing sense, something he hasn’t felt in a while which brought a wide smile on his lips. [So you were gone in space Kay] Core would think as he putted his drink down, preparing to go meet her. He hasn’t sensed her, but her nanny.
The thing that surprised Core the most was that he wasn’t the one that contacted her first, her voice quickly appeared in his mind like some sort of echo of his own though, however, he had no control over it. [Telepathy uh… nice job Kay] Core would think and listened to her message closely, making sure not to miss any information, then sighed a bit. ‘’ Samba? The wolf man? But how am I supposing to…’’ Core would think out loud as the manager was looking at him in a weird way, probably thinking that Core was young and that he had an imaginary friend of something similar, which Core wouldn’t blame him for, he just talk to himself out loud.
Core would think of where Kay was and would directly get out of the café, waving at the manager and smiling at him softly before leaving toward the north, were he knew she was waiting for him and was looking forward to see her right now, it’s been a while and he was missing his best friend on Earth. It was really quick passed before Core arrived at the way station in the north. Core had changed a lot since Kay last saw him, but he hoped that she would still recognize him anyway. He would take a deep breath in and walked in, looking around before seeing her, a weird aura around her was curious enough for Core to notice but he shrugged it off, it was still Kay anyway, he went to sit in front of her after asking for two hot chocolate to the waiter and sat in front of her, a wide smile on his face. ‘’ It’s nice to see you away Kay… I hope I haven’t changed too much…’’ Core would say, chuckling softly.

Arynx had been surprised to receive a message on his cell phone from the precocious Kay-El. Apparently she'd sent it from one of those fancy scouters. He'd considered getting one, but they just looked so derpy. Maybe he could get one made custom to go with his particular look. Regardless, the message had been clear and interesting enough to pique Arynx's interest: meet at a rest stop up North, we're going to fight a witch. Arynx had never fought a witch before. Hell, the only witch he'd even met was that vile Hannibelle Evensong, what a bitch.
He'd sent a text back to Kay-El, but had no idea whether or not standard smartphone texts would go through to a scouter. He hoped for the best as he'd boarded a bullet train to beautiful Mt. Frappe. During the ride there, he decided that it was coming time for him to invest in some kind of personal travel solution. Maybe a motorcycle. Maybe a motorcycle that spit fire out the tailpipe. Maybe a motorcycle shaped like a demon that spit fire out the tailpipe. Maybe a flying motorcycle shaped like a demon-born dragon that spit fire out the tailpipe. Yeah, that sounded pretty fuckin' metal. Rock on.
Arynx walked into the waystation shortly after Core had, and it didn't take him long to spot the two youths. He approached them without caution of hesitation, a smile across his face. Both of them seemed a bit different. Core seemed stronger, maybe even a little taller. Kay, however, didn't just seem different - she was visibly different. She was literally swirling with a green and blue energy. Rad.
"Look at you two," he said, "Always the team, huh? We ready to rock this little adventure?" --------------------------------------------- Thread PL 11,646

Samba moved his legs back and forth as he looked down at the ground from his mighty height on one of the wasteland's rock formations from where he sat at the edge overlooking the valley. The Wolf Zoanthrope had asked Beryl for a bit of a short leave so he could go back into the wilderness and explore the sights once more. Since if he was honest having an actual roof over your head, a working bathroom and three meals a day was the stuff of dreams but if there was one thing he liked the most was how the wilderness could offer such amazing sight and peace such as this one...
And if only the tyrannosaurus rex butting its head against the middle of the pinnacle and roaring its anger to the heavens could just stop for a bit so he could enjoy the Fengshui, that'd be swell thanks. "Ugh, how is it that you guys always seem to find me, no matter where I go," Samba asked rethorically as he peered down so he could stare at the pinpricks eyes of the beast down below, who once more roared in anger up at him. "Feh. Go away, wouldn't you. I've got better stuff to do than become your meal for the day. Now shoo." Samba waved his hand dismissively at the dinosaur down below, rolling his eyes at the countering roar that answered his request.
"Honestly, it is like I'm cursed..." Samba groaned before suddenly looking into the distance, so fast that he almost got whiplash, and he concentrated with all his might just so this wouldn't be a hoax of some kind, and even though her power levels were so dangerously low (possibly because she was hiding her true power) the male recognized this exact energy as the one that belonged to one Kay-El, a strange but sweet little girl that he had met oh so long ago it almost seemed like it was yesterday.
"Heh... she's back..." Samba's lips quirked into a wild grin as he stood up and patted himself to get rid of the dust that might have collected on his clothes. "And I feel Core's energy approaching fast. There also seems to be another energy slowly getting closer to their location. I wonder who that could be..." Samba hummed under his breath before powering up, an aura covering his body briefly before he shot upward anda way from the wastelands, his sense of direction telling that Kay-El's and Core's Ki signatures were deep within the frozen north close to the North Capital.
He wondered why Kay-El would be in such a place like that, perhaps she just wanted to play in the snow or something like that, and she brought Core along for the ride? "Doesn't matter I'd guess. I'll find out soon enough once I get there." Statement made the Zoan powered up again and speeded off faster toward his destination.
Soon enough after a bit of time has passed the male found himself in front of a waystation and once he entered the establishment he looked around and immediately spotted Kay-El and Core alongside a reptilian like being with dark blue-green skin and pointed ears. He assumed the male was a Zoanthrope of some kind at first sight and quickly pushed his curiosity aside as he strode forward towards his two friend and the unknown variant in this equation. "Hey Kay-El and Core! It's nice to see you again." Samba nodded at each in turn before looking at the person he didn't knew and polite offered a handshake.
"Hello there, I'm Samba, a friend of Core and Kay-El's, it's nice to meet you." He had heard them talk when he was outside so his two friends seemed to know this person quite well. He turned back toward Core and Kay-El, finally noting that she seemed to be glowing with some sort of power, even though her Ki seemed suppressed at the moment. "Kay-El, you seem to have grown a little from the last time I saw you, and look you're even glowing." A warm smile crossed the male's features, not at all put out by the girl's appearance like any other normal person would be if they were in his boots.
"So, what are you three doing here, if you don't mind me asking?" Samba asked curiously as he shook his head, dislodging small feckles of snow from his dark reddish brown fur and his clothes in the processs. Thread PL: 53854 || Heavyweights: 13464

Alexander exhaled slowly as he looked at the prone forms that lay before him. A number of the students had thought to try and jump him, but it was quickly becoming rumor in the school that Alexander out-did even Kerren when it came to power. Of course, that just led many of them to try and take him down as a claim to fame. They could bring down the mighty Alexander Voss and get their own fifteen minutes of fame for doing so. But So far, Alex had taken on all comers and come out without defeat. His spar with Samba had been about the only satisfying little fight that he'd had in recent weeks, and he was wondering if perhaps there wouldn't be a way to arrange that again in the future.
He paused, glancing back toward those who still stood nearby, looking on as if he were some sort of inhuman monster. Of course, little did they know that he was know the Knight of She Who Watches, and as such, he was only human on the outside, now. His gaze was empty, blank, regarding them as little more than objects in his path to victory, of becoming the most powerful fighter on the face of the planet. "Any of you want to try your hand?" he asked solemnly, earning the crowd to start to break in upon itself as those nearest to him tried to back up only to find there were other warm bodies behind them. It caused something of a chain reaction as they realized what would happen if they tried and began to retreat in a disorderly, chaotic fashion. Alex watched for a moment before he felt a small buzz from his pants pocket.
Turning away from those that were retreating, he brought out the phone, only to arch a brow as he looked at it. Kay-El needed something. He hadn't heard from the girl since the lake, and he wondered if she might be in some sort of trouble. Then as he looked at the other recipients on the message, he gave a small sound of thought. Arynx, the musician. And Jax, the...presidential candidate. They were both present for the felling of the minotaur. So too had been Kay- that's where they'd first met- and if Kay was around, he could almost guarantee Core would be there, too. He wondered how strong the Arcosian was, now. The young man had been incredibly powerful before, but he wondered just how much he had grown in the short time they'd been distant.
"I suppose I had better go and see what she needs," he murmured. School had been out for a few hours, now, and he was mostly loitering around to see if he could talk with Kerren, but the man had been mysteriously...absent lately. Still, he would need to track the man down and speak with him at some point. He had to challenge him for the absolute right to be the strongest in the school. Once that conquest had been completed, he would move onto something else. Satan City as a whole seemed to be a good target, though if Core frequented that space, he would have a great deal of catching up to do if he was going to surpass the Arcosian. Being weaker than a child was insulting.
He moved, his steps carrying him outside, the man looking skyward. This would make for a good test flight to see if his technique could handle long distances. He glanced down at the cellphone again, using the coordinates that Kay had provided to setup a tracking beacon so he'd know where he was going. He couldn't sense her, though his Void Sense wasn't exactly the most accurate anyway, leaving him to rely on technology. Closing his eyes, he focused on the Void, feeling it crawl up his arm like pins and needles, before a pair of arms pulled themselves from his back, and then yet another pair. With a small sound, the Void of those arms melded, forming into a large pair of bat-like wings. They pulled up, and Alex leapt straight upwards, the wings following, sending him skyward.
He had been practicing this flight on his own from time to time, but never had he flown this far. He wondered if he would have any difficulty in controlling the Void for that long. As he moved though, beginning to clear the treeline, he realized that this was going to be easier than he thought. His power was still increasing day-by-day, and he knew it wouldn't be too long before he was able to do some rather dangerous things with the Void...perhaps he'd work on some new ways to utilize it- it had been awhile since he'd had the time to do such. This flight technique was one of his most recent inventions, though he had no idea what more he'd do with it.
Some moments later, Alexander landed in a slight crash outside of the waystation, on one knee and a fist, his right arm throbbing in pain from the constant draw. If any looked outside, they would see the two huge wings on his back before they extended upward, breaking apart into dozens of writhing, snake-like extensions of the Void before they were pulled back into his upper back. He stood then, exhaling once more. The calm, unbroken mask that he wore did not change here at any point, despite the pain that emanated from his arm. Samba had seen him most recently and would likely see less change, but the others would note that Alexander 'felt' different. His facade had not changed, but the power he wielded did. He simply felt out of place, as if what he was didn't quite belong. The fact that he was definitely there before them would only add to that oddity.
"Good afternoon," Alexander spoke as he entered the room. "I presume Jax hasn't arrived yet?" he asked, glancing toward Kay. He could tell that she also had something different about her. There was a strange coloration in the air around her, and she seemed to be drawing a subtle strength from it, but per usual, he didn't sense much of anything from her. Core was definitely stronger, and he had a slight urge to go and spar with him, but he was certain that wasn't why Kay called them all together. "What's on the agenda?" he asked after a moment, glancing to the young girl. She and Core still felt young, though he knew both of them were mature for their ages. His gaze flickered to her guardian as well, giving the woman a small nod as a sign of respect as he waited.

By the time the first of her friends showed up, she’d finished her hot chocolate and was on the verge of ordering another when Core asked for one for each of them. Looking up, her face brightened considerably and she smiled, getting up and all but tackling him in a hug. “Core!” she said, holding him like she never wanted to let him go. In some ways, maybe she didn’t want to let him go both physically and emotionally, but that was neither here nor now and in this moment they were still just two kids enjoying being in each other’s company. He was still Core beneath the new form and all, even if he did look somewhat different. “You look great, you’ve...changed a lot but I’d still know you anywhere,” she whispered. Tall and stronger, Core was still Core to her. As she broke the embrace to go back to her seat she looked at him with wide-eyed curiosity. But as Arynx showed up she realized it not might not be the time for questions.
Looking over at the fishy rock star as he spoke, she offered him a smile as well. “Arynx, join us for some hot chocolate while we wait for the others?” As the waiter brought hers and Core’s she asked for one more for the new addition to the group. No sense in ordering for the others before they got here because if they didn’t show up or took too long then it would get cold or go to wa - no, she’d drink them herself before letting them go to waste.
And then the door opened again and Samba walked in. Another smile, despite Core not bringing him along he’d figured it out on his own. The thought made her happier than she believed and she slipped her scouter on, the techno monocle whirring to life, and noticed how much they all had grown in her absence - just as she’d grown, too. If she stopped concentrating and unclenched that metaphorical fist she kept wrapped around her power would they all be able to sense it? That was an ability she never mastered, herself. “Hi Alex! We’re waiting for one or two more…” she said, not wanting to have to tell it all a million times.
And then in walked one of the missing ones, himself. Waving over at Alex she ordered Samba and Alex hot chocolates, too. If they didn’t drink them, and same went for Arynx, then she’d make sure the beverages didn’t go to waste. Core could always reheat them, too, if need be. Nana nodded back to Alex, even as she let Kay take the lead on this, it was nice to see the young man show respect. “Doesn’t seem like Jax is here yet… We can get started and catch him up later, I suppose. I did some research,” she said with a bit of a cheeky grin. During travel research had been her thing for a while, especially with all those interplanetary trips. “Do you guys remember that Minotaur? The one that turned into a human? Pretty sure he’d been hexed by this witch that lives somewhere around here.”
Realizing Samba might not know what she was talking about she added, for his benefit, “There was a Minotaur using a town as hunting grounds supposedly...he’d come in and take people and it was terrible. But we tracked it and took it down but it turned into a person and it was really, really weird and scary and I think the witch was controlling him. Anyway, I haven’t pinpointed the location yet but it’s not and I figured...with all of us we stood a better chance.”

Directly when his eyes met Kay’s face, Core would smile brightly, she looked happy to see him and so was he. When she tackled him and held him, he would warp his arm around her and hold her gently against himself, rubbing his cheek delicately on hers, kind of like a cat. ‘’Kay! Eh eh, I missed you so much Kay!’’ He would tell to his old friend, it’s been a long time since he saw her and knowing that she was well, and that she grew a lot stronger than before, was making him so happy in this moment. Feeling her embrace was just the thing he needed after all this time, he closed his eyes for a moment, hearing what she had to say about his new form, which made him blush brightly and instantly. ‘’ O-oh that… uh… yeah, my species tend to evolve a lot faster than any others… I can’t walk back from that one though, so I’ll look like this for now, I’m… glad you like it!’’ Core would say with a bit of shyness in his voice as he felt her letting go and did the same, he would then turn his head to notice that Arynx just got in the place as well, smiling at the man and waving his hand to him.
Arynx wasn’t one of Core’s friends, but he knew him and well, even if his guitar was giving him nightmares with this sound coming directly from hell to disturb his mind, he knew that the guy himself had a good heart. Core would smile ay Arynx, he also got stronger, maybe not as much as Kay did, but he was different, but that wasn’t important as core was beginning to recognize the cast of the previous mission he had with Kay, the hunt for that beast that turned human right after they defeated it. To Aryx’s remark, Core would answer with his friendly smile. ‘’ Always the team indeed Arynx, is appears that adventure just seek for use when we’re together! Glad to see you again! A little less glad that you brought your hell stick… hopefully I won’t have to listen to it too much on this trip, I’m quite sad that I’m not able to enjoy it as much as everyone seems to though!’’ The young Arcosian would say, letting out a chuckle before turning to see Samba who walked it.
The wolf-man, cannon to his usual being well spoken and happy-looking, would enter, greeting them as normal, which made Core chuckled a bit, Kay-El’s goal was clear now, she was re-uniting the team, maybe she had another adventure in mind? Core was wondering a bit what kind of story the half-saiyan girl was going to pull off to bring and the others into another story filled with adventure and fun, but right now, it was meeting time. ‘’ Hey Samba, nice to see you as well! I saw you on Beryl’s computer setting when I was… uh… looking for something else… you are planning to join the Galactic Patrol soon enough? I haven’t seen you around the ship so I guess you’re still waiting for it to be official?’’ Core would ask the wolf zoanthrope, not knowing that he was maybe already part of the patrol, but last time he spoke with him, he didn’t knew who Beryl was, and it wasn’t all that far back so maybe he found him between then and now. ‘’ Anyway, at least there is one more non-human to the team; I kind of hoped there would be more! But I haven’t met everyone yet…’’ The Arcosian would admit.
The next power-level Core would feel close to the group should have been no surprise, but the sheer size and power of it was outstanding compared to the last time, of course it wouldn’t be this surprising considering last time Core saw Alexander, he barely had some power under his sleeve, but Core was feeling him over twenty time stronger than last time he saw him, which was still somewhat weak to him but still, it was a great step forward for the human. ‘’ Our other friend just arrived~’’ Core would say happily before he heard the door open and Alexander stepped in, and his first question made Core’s spine shiver in terror. ‘’ Nope, and… I’m kind of hoping he didn’t got the message…. This man freaks me out more than anything else… he’s a weird human….’’ Core would admit before shaking his head.’’ But hey Alexander! Nice to see you as well, you’ve gotten a lot stronger than before! Good job to you good sir!’’ Core would say politely before turning his head to look at the whole group while the waiter came in with a plate filled with hot chocolate for everybody.
Core’s attention would be easily drawn by Kay-El, even if the odor of his drink made him unable to resist picking it up and drinking some of it silently while he listened to her. Seeing that she mentioned they were going to start without Jax made Core happy, though he wouldn’t show it more than before as, well, he didn’t hated the guy that much but he preferred not to be around him, last time, his shameful attitude and derpy nature made it clear for Core that he didn’t wanted to be around this man more than he had to.
Core would tilt his head a bit when Kay-El started to speak about the Minotaur they had beaten, which was probably the name of that huge cow-person, but then mention of a witch was blank for him, he had no idea what it could be, but he figured it was probably something that was unique to Earth once more, so he went to listen closely to any information he could be given about this new thing. Kay-El didn’t say much about the witch so Core would be forced to ask the question. ‘’ C-can I ask… uh… what is a Witch? I might sound weird but I have no idea what it can be… is it a huge monster like last time?’’ Core would ask innocently while sipping some of his drink and letting out a low sigh of satisfaction. ‘’ Anyway, whatever it is, I’m in!’’

Arynx grinned at the prospect of hot chocolate. If there was one thing he was into, it was beverages of all kinds. As soon as his was delivered to him, he took a long, slow gulp, savoring the warmth and the richness of flavor. Yes, this was the right decision. He'd come to the right place. He ordered another. This time with marshmallows.
"Not to worry, Core," he said, "I've learned a couple of new tricks. I should be able to contribute without having to actually play my guitar. Rock isn't for everyone, I totally get it. Even Kay here isn't exactly my biggest fan." He winked at the little girl.
When Samba rolled in, Arynx's eyes went wide. That was one big pupper. He seemed to know Core and Kay-El, so Arynx immediately identified him as a member of the team. He knew that meant that this guy would be good people, so he had no idea greeting him warmly. Interestingly enough, Core would follow up with some questions about the Galactic Patrol.
"Core, you're a Galactic Patrolman? Do you know Chili Pepper? He and I have become friends lately," he said, then turned to look at Samba, "And if this guy here is looking to join the Patrol, then I know I won't be the only new rookie on the team. I've put in my own application just the other day. Another non-human for you."
When Alex showed up, Arynx gave him a good long look. Sure, this was the guy that had joined them in their battle against a minotaur. He recognized him. He looked stronger, sure, but he was ultimately the same dude. But something felt strange. Something was off about the guy. Arynx's stomach growled slightly while looking at him. Weird.
"Good to see you again, Alex," he said, "Jax hasn't shown up. Dude's probably face down and pantsless in a snowdrift somewhere."
Then Kay dropped the witch bomb. There was apparently a witch here in the north that Kay-El suspected was turning people into monsters and controlling him. This was some Sunday morning Super Hero Time shit, and Arynx was absolutely pumped at the idea of taking down some super evil witch that was ruining lives.
"A witch," he said to Core, "Is a black magic woman. They're usually mean old ladies that use magic to make people sad." He tried to break it down into simple terms for the arcosian. "And I am super down to wreck a witch today."

Hearing a crash from the outside, the Zoanthrope turned to locate the culprit of that sound, a glare already forming on his face. If this turned out to be some punk or whatever and they dared to ruin this day for Kay-El he swore to Kami that there would be words, punches, and words and so help him he would— Oh hey wasn't that Alex outside the waystation? He seemed different somehow, after a quick scan the Wolf Zoan rose a brow in surprise at the male. He clearly seemed to have doubled his power level from that day, and judging from the weights he could see on his person (it was easy to take notice of such when you wore them yourself) the male continued to train even now.
He shot those ethereal wings a searching look but dismissed it soon as they broke apart into a myriad of wriggling fibers and settled back inside the male's body. It seemed that Alex was now much more familiarized with his powers considering that last time he couldn't even manage the ability to fly. "Well well well, look what the cat dragged in." Samba drawled sardonically with a smirk, waiting for Alex to get close before he patted him on the back, a little harder than necessary but if the male asked him he'd just say that that was what friends did to one another. "Hey there, Alex! Nice to see you again. You've certainly grown stronger since last time." It was clear that Alex's previous warning to never touch him unless in a fight was clearly forgotten for now.
The name that Alex spoke about, Jax or something, made Samba slightly curious. It seemed that Kay-El had her own adventures with another set of friends before, but sadly one of them appeared to be very busy since they couldn't come. It was unfortunate, but ultimately the Zoan brushed that thought from his mind, deeming it unimportant for now.
"Huh... It's been a while since I had hot chocolate." Exactly almost a year or so in fact, the male tentatively grabbed the offered cup and took a sip from it, humming thoughtfully at the taste, it wasn't the same as he remembered but beggars couldn't be choosers and all that. "Oh, ahh. Sorry about not noticing you for a second there, Lady." Samba grinned sheepishly at the woman, Nana was her name if he remembered right, and how couldn't he, given what happened that day in particular? "But I was so focused on Kay-El and the rest, my apologies." Nodding slightly the male hoped that the woman didn't thought of him as someone that didn't respect his elders; well, most of the time anyway.
"Looking for something, eh?" Samba's teasing tone was very audible as he grinned at the Arcosian. "Core, you sneaky little guy. You might get in trouble if you're caught, you know that right?" Samba stopped teasing and instead adopted a somewhat serious persona as he nodded at Core and then at Arynx. "I'm already a member of the Galactic Patrol, to be honest. But I'm still pretty much greenhorn. Haven't done any missions or anything." Samba brushed the back of his neck self-consciously.
"I've been mostly hogging the Gravity Chamber with a few others to get stronger and help the organization that way. Perhaps I should take a mission after this is done..." Samba hummed thoughtfully before looking at Arynx, blinking as he recognized that name he spoke. "I know of Chili Pepper, yeah. I trained alongside him and Kaito, another member of the GP, some days ago in the Gravity Chamber. I haven't seen him lately but he must be around, though."
Taking another hearthy sip from his drink, the Zoan made sure that his ears were perked up and attentive to every word, he did not want to miss any detail on this adventure that Kay-El had with her friends way back when. As he took another sip his brain finally registered the fact that Kay-El and co. had an encounter with a Minotuar AND a Witch, and the male almost choked on his drink but made no motion that anything was wrong. Though he made sure to drink the rest of his hot chocolate and lay the cup on the counter less another surprise blindsided him.
The likely thought of a broken cup because he gripped it too hard in surprise was something he did not want to happen at all, besides he did not have any money to buy it if he did broke it. The Zoan made a mental note to finally do something about his financial problems before focusing once more on Kay-El and the others.
"You're clearly been out and about, Kay." Samba settled for saying after getting himself together. "That must have been scary back then. But as they say, there's strength in number, and multiple heads are better than one when it comes to thinking about a plan. I'm sure we'll be just fine." Internally the male cringed at his screw up, hopefully, he did not jinx any of them with that comment.
He was a firm believer that there were strange forces out there, and he did not want to mess with the one that controlled fate or luck, even though it might look silly the male quickly knocked on wood just to drive away any sort of bad juju at work. Considering they were dealing with Witches here his paranoia was completely justified.

As Samba had spoken to Alex, the young man fixed the zoan with a small look. "I imagine that you would have cats on the brain," the man spoke, deadpanning something that was either a joke, or possibly given that it was Alex, merely an observation. His humor, or lack thereof, hadn't changed in the slightest. But even so, he had felt a strange sort of kinship with Samba that he didn't with the others, at least not yet. He didn't comment on it, though as Samba clapped him on the back, Alexander paused, turning his look onto the wolf. He opened his mouth to remind him of the previous statement but he imagined that such a thing would once more, move in one ear and out the other and so he didn't bother wasting his breath as he moved to sit near the others.
Alex gave a small sound as he was handed a mug of hot chocolate. This...wasn't exactly what he'd expected at a gathering of allies from the previous mission. He had expeced something involving a little more...planning, strategy, something that would involve Kay-El calling the group together from all parts of the globe. Having a hot, sugary drink was not exactly among that line of thought, though the man didn't turn it down. Closing his eyes, he took a small sip of the drink, noting that it was quite good, all things considered. He hadn't had much to drink beyond water for several months, now. He didn't particularly crave anything and as such he just ignored the thoughts that his body had pushed out. But This was a free, sugary drink and as such...he couldn't decline it.
"We'll see if he arrives," Alex spoke, wondering if perhaps the man had, at one point, simply gotten himself lost within his own house. That seemed fairly accurate for as far as Jax was concerned. The fellow had far too much energy than was necessary, and over-compensated in trying to assist people, often instead turning things awkward and upsetting. He knew that it was a good thing, without any shadow of a doubt, that such a fellow didn't get elected for the President of Earth. If he was that bumbling in a setting of five other people, he couldn't even imagine what it would be like when he was in charge of a planet. Alex shuddered, slightly.
He glanced to Core then, giving a small nod toward the young, but powerful, Arcosian. "Agreed," he said simply, despite the fact that Alexander himself was quite odd in what he did. He wondered if the two children would continue to accept him as a friend when his power that he held within him was slowly changing him into something more. He felt it ebbing away at his humanity each day. Things that had been outlandish before seemed mildly disagreeable the following day, leading him to wonder just where he would end up if he continued to follow this road that he was on. But as this was a gathering of friends and allies, he didn't feel that he should be too dour about the whole thing. "And...yes. I think I've discovered the way to make my power grow," he murmured, glancing toward Samba then, who had been the only one who had really seen what Alex could do, now.
Arynx's greeting prompted a nod from Alexander. "You as well. It's been awhile," he returned evenly, and though he couldn't help himself, the man gave the smallest quirk of a smile at the rockstar's expectations of Jax. "I can't disagree with that," he murmured, before moving to take another sip of the hot chocolate. Arynx was someone that had a great deal of presence, whereas Alexander tended to simply blend into the background. Samba was much the same way as well, having loud personalities, which was fine- it took all kinds to make the world go around.
It was then that Kay-El began to speak about the research she'd done. He wondered when a five year old would have the time, or inclination to do this type of research but he wasn't going to question it. Both she and Core surprised him at nearly every opportunity, and so he had long since stopped attempting to place them in the same league of ability as other children. They were clearly far more accomplished than any others their age. He couldn't help to be curious to wonder just /how/ intelligent they were, and if it was something that he should keep in the back of his mind in case they did something that would warrant further inquiry...
But at her words, he nodded. "I do." The minotaur had been nearly right after he'd first been inflicted with the Void. He had been struggling to even channel it at all, then. Now he felt more confident with its power than he had in quite some time. He was in full control of his destiny- he had taken it by the proverbial horns...and as Ninjin had said back when he'd trained with her, that he was walking that path less traveled. He did not know where this path would lead but he was determined to follow it to its conclusion. "A witch? As in...magic?" he asked, giving a small frown as he considered that possibility. Magic wasn't something that came up often. It an interesting perspective to consider.
Alexander glanced to Core as the boy mentioned that he didn't know quite what a witch was. He was about to respond when Arynx beat him to the punch, giving a small nod in agreement. "Much like we use ki," he spoke, even though he technically didn't anymore, "a witch uses magic for a great deal of nefarious purpose. If she were the one who turned that human into the minotaur, then she has a great deal of power and while I'm in agreement with Arynx, we should step lightly. There's no telling what she can do with that magic of hers."

“I missed you, too, Core,” she said seriously. His species evolved faster - she’d heard about that but it still felt weird seeing it in person. But it was Core so while not a bad weird, it was the kind of weird that would take a little adjustment, that’s all. Although, in the grand scheme of things, Kay-El really hadn’t been gone all that long it still felt like a lifetime and her next trip would be even longer, no doubt. Core did look good, strong, and for that she was glad. They couldn’t always be around to defend each other, it was just the life life worked, right?
“Yes, I think you’re right. Black magic woman rather than a wizard, black magic man…” She blinked at Arynx’s words, not keeping too close an eye on the others socializing but did note the information about the Galactic Patrol. If her path were to remain here with them, she might have considered the same for herself, but more and more lately she began to believe the SSE was a realistic option. The White List, too, because she wanted to help Pin and get to know him more. And, through him, she met a lot of people from the Saiyan half of her bloodline. No, no direct connection, but meeting people of that race that didn’t hate her was a nice change.
As Samba addressed Ban, the nanny smiled over at him and said, “I’m Ban, nice to meet you, Samba.” Kay-El only recently discovered Nana’s name wasn’t actually ‘Nana.’ A bit of a shock for the young girl but she got over it eventually. “It’s alright, I assure you. Besides, I don’t think you will need my help and I’ve got other things to do here in the meantime.”
When the Wolf Zoan mentioned her being ‘out and about,’ she shrugged in a way that could mean everything or nothing all at once. “I’ll tell you all about that later,” she said, looking up and just letting the gladness and relief that he didn’t seem to hate her show on her face for a few moments. “And, yes, better more of us than less. Still,” she looked at the door and when no more entered, the bell silent and not forthcoming, she turned back to the group to listen to Alex. “As you’ve all pointed out, trouble that needs dealing with, right? For better or worse we’ve got a potentially hairy situation on our hands and not a whole lot to go on. Except I think she’s underground. Literally.” And with that she got up and looked over at the exit. “Shall we?” she asked, allowing them to lead the way out. Now or never and push had come to shove, it seemed.
Kay-El was ready to shove.

It was really weird how in a few word and only one move, Kay-El had managed to make Core forget about her ever going away from Earth, the feelings he had for her felt for him like a very strong friendship, but he was starting to notice something more beneath all of this, something he could barely feel and not really understand, but one thing was sure, it was there. The Arcosian was actually trying to find what could that be, but he couldn’t put his finger on it, like there was major information he was left without. [Eh, it’s not important anyway… if I feel good around her, there is no need for further explanation…] Core would finally think, dropping it and looking around at their group, it was nice to have everyone back around, especially since it’s been a while, and they had another adventure on sigh, which would be even more fun to get on with!
Arynx seemed to feel way better with Core’s not liking his music, which would make the Arcosian smile when he pointed out that even Kay wasn’t his biggest fan, which well, he knew she could still enjoy his music, so it wasn’t so bad. ‘’ eh eh, thanks… I wish I could enjoy it though… everyone else seems to.’’ He would answer with a soft giggle, truly he had judged this man too quickly, and he was a nice guy despite everything Core was thinking of him in the first place. Then the space-musician can and asked about his Galactic-Patrol membership and asked if he knew about someone else, Chili Pepper. Core though for a moment before shaking his head simply. ‘’ I don’t know who that is… I haven’t met EVERYBODY just yet, I’ve simply met a couple of us…’’ Core would admit in a polite voice before hearing his intention and smiled widely. ‘’ Well! It would be a pleasure to have you on the team! Some people I know and a non-human… which apparently you are? Can be nice to the group!’’ Core would say, a bit confused about Arynx’s origin right now. Then the musician came and explained to him what a witch was, and Core widened his eyes lightly. ‘’ Wow…. That’s just weird… an evil person who uses magic… I haven’t heard that in a while…’’ Core would say sarcastically, he had read a few human stories on his own.
Next person to address him was Samba, saying that he would get into trouble if he was caught doing what he was on Beryl’s computer. ‘’ Yeah I know… Beryl probably don’t want me to search for information about us and all of the members on my own… but you know… the more I know about people, the stronger our alliance can be… if I explain it, I don’t think Beryl would get mad…’’ Core would say to Samba, not really knowing that he was speaking of something else entirely, he wasn’t really aware of that kind of thing anyway, so even if Samba had spoken in obvious words, he would have the same reaction. ‘’ And I haven’t done any mission either… I’m just preparing for the saiyan invasion to come… did some research on my own… their queen is more horrible than anyone thinks… she destroyed two planets already by planting a huge tree on it which drain the planet’s life… I don’t want this to happen to Earth…’’ Core would say, a bit afraid of what could happen to their planet if they didn’t react in time with this invasion, who knows. ‘’She might have something worst for Earth… since we already won against her once… ‘saiyan pride’ you know…’’ He concluded
The Arcosian would turn at Alexander, who, despite all of what Core would have though, actually began to spoke to everyone without any problem, all this time the Arcosian though the human was kind of that weird guy who preferred to keep it out of every conversation. ‘’ Oh uh… I got this already but… thanks for confirming it so I don’t get caught like an idiot!’’ Core would say before tilting his head lightly with a smile. ‘’ I don’t think she’s THAT strong, maybe compared to regular humans… but to us?’’ Core would simply notify, knowing that their power level was far higher than ninety nine percent of this planet’s population, who most of it wasn’t even aware of ki and probably saw them as some freaky demi-god or something similar.
When the discussion and socializing was going well, Core would notice Nana called herself Ban, he looked at her, tilting his head but smiled anyway. ‘’ Hey, nice to see you again Ban!’’ He would simply tell her, from what he knows, she was taking care of Kay-El since she was a baby or something, so he was appreciating her, she brought him his best friend after all, he couldn’t really dislike her only with that. Core would then turn to Kay, who was speaking to all of them, even making an unwanted joke about a ‘hairy situation’ which Core reacted to by glancing quickly at Samba with a smirk before turning back to her. Core would then notice that if they were leaving it was now, regretting his hot-chocolate, he would stand up and began to walk to the exit. ‘’ Let’s go then, hope the witch will be a better training than the Minotaur’s, we won’t be fighting ‘easy’ opponent in the next crisis…’’ Core would mentioned as he walked to the exit door, then turned to see who was following him.

Arynx nodded, downing the last of his now third hot chocolate in a single gulp. His throat visibly distended, almost like a frog's as the warm, sweet drink went down. He winked at Ban, then patted Core firmly on the back. As far as he was concerned, everything that needed to be said had been said.
"Let's get this show on the road!"

"Oooh. Catty." Samba smirked at Alex before looking towards Kay-El's caretaker. "It's nice to finally have a name to call you by, Ban." The Zoanthrope nodded in acknowledgement at the woman before turning to Core with a small frown forming on his muzzle. "The Saiyan Invasion..." One of Samba's fist tightening imperceptibly, his sharp nails almost cutting into the palm of his hand before he got a hold of himself. "Two planets already lost to that monster... won't she ever be satisfied?!" The Wolf Zoanthrope almost wanted to roar in anger but didn't want to cause a scene just yet. "She can try and come back here, in fact, I hope she does, just so we can kick her ass all over again." Samba punched one fist against his palm, a cocky smirk crossing his features before Kay-El's voice brought him back.
"I'm up and ready to go if everyone is." He wondered how far deep underground this Witch could be, he almost wondered if she lived deep on the core of the Earth before he brushed that notion aside like so much trash. "Anything else that we need to know before everything turns nasty?" Samba was a firm believer in being well informed before trying to tackle a threat or a situation, and this was no different. Sorry for the short post as well ^^;

Alexander gave a small sound of thought at the words that were being thrown around regarding the steps to take for this witch. He wasn't entirely certain that she was someone that they could handle, just the group of them. No one else seemed worried...but at the same time, he wasn't sure if he should feel any worry or not himself. He had also been concerned when the Minotaur had been around, but no one else had...and it had ended up being a relatively painless matter. He didn't know whether or not he should focus on that doubt that welled up within him, or simply cast it to the side. He tended to have a bit more of a hesitation when dealing with that which he didn't understand...but there wasn't much more that he could really consider, here. Magic was completely outside of his comfort zone, and he didn't want to rush headlong into something that he didn't understand.
Everyone seemed to announce that they were ready to go, but no one seemed ready to actually press onward, it seemed. ALexander didn't want to be the one that was leading this little endeavor, but he also felt that he didn't have a whole lot of choice in the matter, either. There wasn't much that he could do beyond simply seeing if he might be able to locate someone who utilized magic rather than ki. Such was not something that he was really comfortable with...but if no one else was willing to take those first steps, he supposed that he could lead them in that direction, at least for now. He gave another small sound, the thoughts heavy on his mind as he pulled back on the hot chocolate, finishing it off in its entirety before he stood, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "Well then. If we're ready to go, let's do so," he said simply as he moved to make his way out of the little waystation that they were in.
As he stepped outside, the sudden change of brightness caught him off guard for a moment, the boy having to struggle to not squint his eyes as he attempted to get his eyes to adjust to the sunlight. "Based on what we know...there's a witch...somewhere," Alexander spoke, trying to put into some level of conscious thought exactly what he had in mind. However, there simply wasn't enough information to really determine where she might be. Or he. It was entirely possibly they were dealing with a Warlock, rather than a Witch. THey'd have to wait and find out when they found the magic-user...whenever they did find them. Alex paused, glancing down at his right hand before he closed it into a fist, the Void wrapping up around it.
He didn't know that ki sense could find it. The woman (or man) wouldn't be using ki, but it was possible that he could, through his Voidsense. He could sense those disruptions. "Perhaps I can locate...her. Or him. Whoever they are." The Void aura began to flare around him, and he found it...odd that he was using this power for such a thing to help people. So far, his power had done nothing but help him to destroy. But even yet, there was little that would stop him from dismantling this magic user when he did get his hands on them. Closing his eyes, he felt the world around him falling away, leaving him in an inky blackness that made up his area of concentration. There was a small glimmer then, and another, and another. He could sense these small disturbances throughout but there seemed to be no connection between them. They seemed scattered, distant.
Then a sudden flare of energy, or...something, came to him from the South East. He blinked, pulled from the reverie as his gaze flickered to the rest. "I'm sensing something to the South East. Something abnormal. It isn't ki," he offered, glancing back over his shoulder. From his shoulders came a myriad of small, wisp-like tendrils, then, snaking down his back. They wrapped around one another, twisting and writhing like snakes before they emerged as a pair of large, bat-like wings, formed of the Void. They flapped once, the updraft taking Alexander into the air. "Come on," he said simply, before he burst off toward the South East.
