[Current pl: 27280] [Heavy Weights: ON] [Current Pl: 6820] Forest, cities, deserts, and islands. And Sei. The young android had been all over the world since he left the cave of his creation. His creator and father, Dr. Griffon Connaleer had given him the task to find the meaning of all life itself. It was a rather deep project and an even steeper task to ask of someone, regardless if they didn't age or not. Despite all of this, Sei actually had the fortune to meet a rather wise and noble tree person, or Verdant, known as Bastion. Once Sei had asked Bastion the meaning of life after speaking with him after a while. This was a personal question to Sei, and he certainly didn't ask it to just anyone. For the young android, one had to prove to be either interesting enough, be it a species he had never met before, or maybe a weird quirk about them. The second requirement which the person could fulfill either, was strength. If something was strong enough for Sei to recognize it, he would most likely ask them the sacred question. To Sei, if something obtained such overwhelming strength, there had to be some sort of sacrifice, or the life form could've learned something through gaining all of that strength. Either of the two aforementioned prospects were valid enough for Sei to confidently ask the person or thing in question generally without regret. Flying over the Western Frontiers, Sei was looking for anything interesting that he could. His previous experience had been, that if he flew enough around an area, either an interesting event or a strong power level would show up in front of him to give him something to do. It had actually been a few days since anything interesting had happened, and he had been on a rather well paced schedule up till then. Everything had been occurring one day after another, which was actually preferable to the robed android. In this amount of time with little happening, Sei had enough time to think over all the things he had gathered from the few he had asked about life. Every answer was different, and only 1 or 2 were even similar to each other. Everyone had a different reason to be alive, and a different definition of it all, which Sei found to be immensely interesting. The android still hadn't found his reason to stay alive and to get powerful, but he appeared to be doing both anyway. It was an enigma to the black haired robot. Flying over the grasslands of the Western Frontier, it was pretty calming to see the large amounts of grass sway in the wind. Him flying by at his top speed was actually making the grass flow even harder, despite him being very high up off the ground. He felt truly at peace, if anything, for at least a moment. It was that way until a large ball of ki flew up at him. His scanner picked up the signal, but it was already far too late for the android to react. The ki ball was moving much faster than he ever could. His only action was to slightly turn his body, having the attack hit his left side. The ki attack continued to move without hesitation, but Sei had definitely taken an enormous amount of damage. He began to plummet to the ground, leaving behind a small smoke trail as he went. Running a few diagnostics, Sei could immediately tell that he would need to perform repairs on his chassis and left abdomen. If he were to have a soft landing the damages would be minimized, but even if he hit the ground with a crash, he should still be able to fix up whatever the problem was. What hit me??Celmaru Waterfield

A certain hybrid was spending his time training upon a nearby mountainous terrain with his partner. It was a day akin to the rest, with a gentle breeze and the periodic grunts of a hybrid warrior. The hybrid warrior Celmaru Waterfield was training, simply throwing punches, kicks, etc, onto nearby boulders and trees. Several remains of such natural elements were scattered along the earthy soil, almost littering the land in a sense. Pebbles, chips of mere wood, etc were upon the soil, able to trip up anyone nearby. However, the seaweed woman Phae Waterfield floated elegantly above the debris and grime, spectating her husband's training regime.
"Hah! Hrraah!"
The hybrid plunged his fist into another boulder, destroying its surface via the split between his fist and its stony appearance. The massive stone began to fall apart immediately, crumbling swiftly as another plethora of stone descended upon Celmaru's hand. Phae, meanwhile, kept her gaze upon the hybrid, ensuring his safety in a sense. Currently, the couple failed to notice the Android floating along above them. The hybrid decided to conclude his training relatively early today, specifically for Phae, and began to practice his first evolution of the Great Blast Crash; the Great Kaiser Crash. Facing one of the largest boulders nearby, the hybrid raised his palm to the sky, with a simple Great Blast Crash forming above the hybrid's palm, floating stiffly within the atmosphere. Pouring more of his own Ki into the red and white sphere, the hybrid felt its struggle begin. The hybrid grasped his forearm, attempting to keep his blast in check. The blast's metamorphosis had transpired, and swiftly concluded; revealing the Great Kaiser Crash once more. The scarlet red orb of Ki flickered with the flame of pure energy it beheld. Shifting his gaze towards, Phae, turning his head towards her, the hybrid spoke before he launched his blast.
"...Do you mind throw that boulder up into the air, Phae?"
"Ah, no, I don't mind, please give me a moment, Celmaru."
The seaweed woman lost her relative form within her right arm, becoming mere tendrils of seaweed as she wrapped it all around the circumference of the giant stone, flinging it up into the air swiftly, however the boulder never rose above the nearby peak of the mountain as the hybrid launched his blast towards the sky, arcing his arm forwards in a full swing. The Great Kaiser Crash shot off towards the thrown boulder, slicing through the sky like a scarlet missile, akin to a particle of light. Unfortunately, the sphere went straight through the humongous stone, refusing to explode upon impact as it scraped past another organism of some sort. The being began to descend onto the Earth, billowing smoke as it fell to the ground above the hybrid and his wife.
"Smoke?"
"Do I hear whirring?"
The hybrid shot up into the air, extending both arms up towards the figure as it fell into his hand....more intensely than the hybrid imagined. Celmaru briefly struggled to keep the figure within his arms, as he descended unsteadily. Celmaru relieved his Ki of supporting both him and the figure as the hybrid was within several feet of the earth. However the hybrid was planted within the soil beneath him as he landed, the rock collapsing slightly beneath their combined weight...and their weights. Phae floated beside her husband as Celmaru placed the figure along the ground, smoke billowing out of his frame. The hybrid quirked a brow towards Sei, confused as to why he was spurting smoke from his left abdomen.
"Er...hello? I must apologize if it was you that my blast had struck....as it seems that it is. Might I ask of your name as we look over you for any...er...major injury?"
The hybrid and the seaweed woman were confused, as they have never seen such a creature before, humanoid or not. However, they were willing to repair Sei if need be; Celmaru wasn't completely devoid of any knowledge of robotics. The hybrid crouched down towards the android, surveying his body for injury. He wasn't sure how to react to this, if at all; he had encountered a robotic man.

Processor, prepare for impact. Shift main power to the spine and back of the legs region. Divert...Huh?
While being in the process of falling, Sei's body had landed softly in some sort of...flesh. Turning his head slight, he was able to see that it was a person who caught him, a spiky brown haired human. Sei tried to do a scan on him to gauge some sort of power level, but the both of them immediately had a rough landing. From a guesstimation, the android could reasonably assume that he had been hit out of the air due to an attack cause either by him or someone in the area. Next, he was caught by the man with the brown hair, and then they would crash into some kind of tree or boulder, destroying the scenery around the area. The android was still in the firm arms of the man who had caught him; Sei had the feeling that this was a person who could be trusted, or at least meant no harm.
Sei was placed on the ground as he was smoking all over his body from the blast that had fell him. The air around was difficult to see through, and his thermal vision hadn't been working all too well. Clearing through the smoke, the man that Sei could identify as the one who had caught him started to talk to the android. He had apologized to Sei and asked for his name, even offering to look over him to perform repairs. It was a generous offer, although Sei was pretty sure due to the help of this man already, that he could take care of himself. Had he crash landed instead, that would be the difference. After Sei realized he had been quiet for too long, he spoke up.
"No, it's quite alright. I do believe I was hit by your blast, but due to you catching me, I should be able to perform repairs on myself. I just need a few tools, do you think you could provide me with anything?"
Sei figured that the damage he had accrued was tantamount to the most he had ever received, but his body was built for receiving even more damage than this before giving out. It was made entirely easier by the fact that this situation was very friendly and not hostile. Had this man decided to continue his assault on the android, it wasn't positive that he would make it out without total destruction. Sei had back ups of himself at the cave of creation, but he still wasn't sure if it would be him exactly that would go to the next body. There was a chance it would be the same body and same memories, but a different consciousness.
"Ah yes, a name. Mine is Sei, I am an android. You could probably tell from all the smoke coming from my body. It's nice to meet you, although I wish the circumstances were better."
The android was appreciative of the responsibility that the human who reduced him to this state was taking. Or, at least Sei assumed he was human. He had the appearance of one, even if he wasn't.
"If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing throwing around that kind of power? I'm not too weak myself, or at least I don't think I am, but you've reduced me to a shell of my former self for now. Are you fighting someone?"
It would explain properly why that much power was being used, but it wouldn't explain why this man was able to sit with Sei like this.
Perhaps he won and then caught me?
It was then that Sei's eyes locked with the seaweed monster next to his savior.
"Whatever your name is, I think your opponent is back for more...!"
Sei would of course be referring to the seaweed creature next to his savior.

The hybrid quirked a brow towards the android, unsure if he communicating with the mechanical man properly. The android claimed that he could begin repairs upon himself....well, himself. Despite this, the hybrid was asked if he was able to provide tools of any sort, if any at all. The hybrid shrugged, having nothing to contribute to Sei in regards of tools.
"I once again apologize....I don't often carry tools, especially those regarding repair."
"....."
Phae chose to remain silent for the time being, as she was admittedly not well-versed with robotics, as her husband was. The seaweed woman shifted her frame, that of which affected her angle as she wrapped her arms around her husband's neck as she floated at an approximate 45 degree angle to the earthy soil. Phae's calves danced lightly within the open air, curious of Sei and his bodily components; specifically those of the mechanical nature, which could very well be all of it. The android mentioned his name, and his own "species", if that could be considered as much. The hybrid took another note of the smoke billowing out from the android's body, unsure if it would cease to exist anytime soon. Celmaru, oddly enough, felt a hint of concern for Sei, despite just meeting him. The hybrid's brows shot up as he spoke of the circumstances preferably being better at their first meeting, and the hybrid held up one hand to silence him as he spoke himself.
"Ah, no, don't worry about it....it was my fault that I had expected my blast to...er...explode on impact with the boulder. Somehow it had penetrated that thing instead of doing what I had expected...."
As if on cue, a brief, yet thunderous crash was audible from a sizeable distance away. The stone that Phae had thrown just recently had finally descended upon the Earth, possibly beside the base of the mountain the trio stood upon. Sei wondered why the hybrid was throwing about his power, whether to combat someone, if nothing else. The hybrid spoke up immediately, almost interrupting Sei as he continued.
"Ah, no, I was just training up here, nothing special-"
Celmaru himself was interrupted by the android, noting that his "opponent" had returned. The hybrid had only sensed Phae behind him, affectionately nestling beside him as usual. The hybrid briefly chuckled quietly as he explained.
"I must apologize once more, however my wife isn't my enemy. Disregarding that, my name is Celmaru Waterfield, and my wife here is Phae Waterfield."
The hybrid held a microscopic hint of irritation within his voice, however he refrained from scolding the android. The very thought of considering Phae an enemy was sickening to Celmaru, given dire straits of not. The hybrid would only hope that Sei would swiftly understand that Phae wasn't going to assault either of them, as the seaweed woman was busy embracing Celmaru in a near coddling way at the moment.
"For the fourth time today, I must apologize to you once again, Sei. However, that wasn't my true power, yet I must refrain from using it....I do hope you understand."

The request for tools that Sei had asked for from his savior/attacker was denied. Apparently the man did not carry around tools like Sei did based on the nonexistent need to repair himself. The android would make a note that the person he was facing here was not mechanical in nature based on the answer. Sei did have some tools on him, but he didn't want to use them if it wasn't necessary. They had belonged to his creator and father, Griffon. They meant a lot to him, and the android didn't want to mess them up if at all possible. Taking a small screwdriver out of his arm, he began to start small repairs while still maintaining eye contact with the brown haired man.
"That is alright, I have a set myself. I did not want to have to use these, but I would be embarrassed if this were the end of my robotic life simply because I was too prideful to not use these tools."
The man began to explain that he was training when his attack had flown into the air and connected with Sei, sending him plummeting to the sky and in this state. Apparently a rock was thrown into the air and he sliced it in half, actually having it land in the middle of the conversation. That would actually be only the second most embarrassing thing for Sei actually, having been hit so hard with an attack, or being too prideful, as the person that the android had mistaken for an enemy turned out to be the man's wife. If Sei could turn red or blush, he would've been the most red thing within a hundred miles.
"I...I apologize for assuming. I've been hit with too much force, my circuitry has been mess up. Now that I see, she is beautiful. Is she some sort of nymph?"
Sei wasn't great at taking the foot out of his mouth, but he would certainly try. He knew that humans preferred compliments to the truth, so he would do exactly that. Being fair, however, the man who identified himself as Celmaru did have a beautiful wife. Her name was Phae and they shared the same last name of Waterfield. It was an interesting last name, to say the least.
Would my last name be Connaleer? That is the last name of my creator, after all.
Celmaru would go on about how that wasn't even all of his power, that he had to contain most of it due to some unknown reason. It was intriguing to Sei that this man could be so strong. Perhaps he had enough strength to be worthy of asking the question? His strength only registered around forty thousand, but Sei felt that there was more that he was hiding. The android had met a few people now that had the ability to do so making it not out of the norm that this man couldn't either.
"Either way, it's nice to meet you. Would there be some sort of place you could take me so that I could properly fix myself up? I won't intrude upon too much, if it is within my power to do so."

The hybrid blinked blankly towards the android as he extracted a tiny screwdriver from himself, beginning repairs whilst maintaining eye contact. The hybrid was unsure if he was able to communicate effectively with Sei as he did so, as it was rather odd in the hybrid's eyes. Celmaru quirked a brow towards the android as he spoke of possibly facing his demise if he were to be too prideful to use his own tools. It seemed strange, however the hybrid had a specific thought pass through his cranium. The hybrid spoke up before the android could once more, asking him a certain question; whether it would be accurate or not.
"Might those tools belong to someone you knew?...Possibly a....er...creator, possibly? I admittedly doubt that androids have biological parents, per se..."
The hybrid was surprised that he could utter the words he spoke, however Sei moved along, mentioning his mistake of his assumption. Phae's attention had been piqued by this point, hearing Sei wonder if the seaweed woman herself was a sort of nymph. Phae stifled a briefly giggle as she took it upon herself to explain.
"I am fox spirit, Sei...rather, a kitsune guardian. My occupation was to survey and oversee the lives of my husband's family. I've seen many things, even my husband's birth. This body you see is only a physical form, not my true, spiritual form. However, I do appreciate the compliment, Sei!"
Phae returned to her previous embrace, nestling against her husband, content. The hybrid returned his gaze towards the android, listening to him speak as he suggested shifting locations for the time being as he repaired himself. The hybrid shot upwards, standing upright and disturbing his wife in the progress, frantically adjusting her floating position to fly alongside her husband's frame. Celmaru racked his mind, hoping to think of a place to drop off Sei as he repaired himself.
"Ah! Celmaru, please notify me if you're going to stand so suddenly!"
"Oh, er....I apologize, Phae, I wasn't thinking...."
"Mmm~, I'll let you off the hook this time, husband~"
"Ah, er....ahem, anyway....I can't say I know of a place, Sei...."
It was a complete lie, however the hybrid didn't want to spoil the surprise of his future home to Phae. Celmaru didn't want to intrude upon his parent's home, and Ayumu had been missing for weeks. The hybrid had very few options, and one of them seemed to be viable at the moment. The hybrid's shoulders slumped forwards slightly, finding little to assist Sei with. The hybrid had little idea what to do, if anything at all; it was a minor conundrum to Celmaru. The seaweed woman, meanwhile, gave an incentive to move on to another subject, dismissing the androids immediate desire to repair himself.
"Might we be allowed to know a bit more about you, Sei? I'm curious to know what an artificial being is doing on Earth."
"Ah, yes, that's what I was wondering as well. Specifically how you were created is what interests me. Er....that is, if you allow us to ask you such a thing, if not, then we can understand."
The hybrid scratched his head sheepishly, as he wasn't usually the one asking questions about others. Sei, however, was a man of a mechanical nature, and was intriguing to the hybrid, as he has never seen an android before in his life. Celmaru truly had more than a few inquiries for Sei to answer, however now wasn't the time to be babbling with such questions. For the time being, however, the hybrid ran with what Phae had suggested, and awaited a plausible answer from the android.

As Sei was tinkering with different parts of his side, putting parts back in places they should be in, the human spoke up to the android, asking him if the tools he was using belonged to anyone he knew. He also voiced his idea that androids probably didn't have biological parents. Sei felt a little singe of anger, but it subsided pretty quickly. The young android hated when people spoke about his father, as if they understood him or Sei. Taking the high road, he decided he would just explain to the man going by the name Cel the truth of the matter.
"Actually, these tools did belong to someone I knew, someone very close. They were my creators, these tools helped bring me to life. He gifted them to me shortly before he left the cave where I was created. He was in a large debt to some very unsavory people, and they took his life as a sort of payment. It was a pretty useless use of his time, the man was certainly a genius. Before his death, he and I were very close. He tried to teach me everything he could about human life and culture. I like to think I picked up on it easy enough, but of course he facilitated the process with relative ease. My dad was incredibly easy to get along with."
Sei realized he had been ranting for a little bit now and had actually stopped his own repairs with his own excitement to explain who his father was. Moving his hand back to his side, he began twisting the screwdriver to bolt some things back in. It wasn't actually as serious as he previously thought, having the ability to just fly off now if he wanted. This man interested his slightly, however, and his wife was the most interesting of all. She was currently explaining to his of her origin, that she was actually a spirit that was tasked with looking over Celmaru's family, and even saw the man's birth. If the android hadn't heard stranger things, that would have easily topped the list. There was something that was on Sei's mind about her own appearance though. It was odd that she would pick algae as her physical form. She was what the human concept of beautiful was, regardless, it was just something that perplexed Sei.
"So, Mrs. Waterfield, why did you chose that kind of physical manifestation? If you are a spirit, theoretically, you could have chosen anything, correct? Not that there is anything wrong with you now, but I am a bit baffled by your choice."
Sei tried his best not to come off wrong, or mean, but if it happened, then it happened. There was nothing that would keep Sei's curiosity from coming out, especially not a specific choice of vernacular or articulation. As Cel spoke up, spooking his wife in the process, he would mention that he didn't know of any place for them to go. It seemed weird how he said it, or why he'd get up, but Sei would have no choice but to accept this as truth. Phae began to speak, bringing up a question of Sei's life and how he came to be, the two of them just wanting to know more information, and Cel would agree. The android had no problem giving any such information out- after all he was a knowledge seeker himself.
"Well, as I said before, my name is Sei. My full name is Seikatsu, and I am an android built by the great Dr. Griffon Connaleer. Griffon was much like a father would be to anay sort of human, despite our stranger than normal relation for what you humans would have. He was a renowned scientist, having graduated college at 9 and having already changed the field of robotic at the age of 16. Although, it was not the doctors true passion, I believe. He really appreciated art, and that is why he got out of it. The robotic's field had no need for a person who dabbled in art, and he wasn't going to let that change him. It wasn't until he the shady organization that later took his life offered him enough money to create a robot that would be as human as possible for a robot, he would take it. No matter how smart he was, however, it was incredibly difficult to make a robot that could remain so ignorant to the concept of life that it wouldn't want to kill anything or itself. That is why I was the forty second model, the last of my kind. I was a success, although I firmly believe it isn't my ignorance that allows me to keep living. The other models, they grasped the concept of life and wanted to only kill or take their own, due to how pointless it seemed. I see past that, however. I see a limitless potential, as well as a gift. Life is nothing to be squandered, not by anyone. It was a miracle that you were brought into this world, so it wouldn't be a fitting end unless for a miracle. That's my take on life, at least.
Sei would look down at his own body, feeling a sort of sadness.
"I was tasked with a mission, as well. I am to find the meaning of life, as well as I can. Whatever answer I find, I can be content with. I don't know what it'll be, and it could be my own, but whatever it is, I will live with it. I promised a "friend" that I would, even after I found it. Although, I'm not sure it will be so easy. Or at least, what do you think? Will I find my answer?"
Sei didn't expect an answer out of the human, but now that he gave it some thought, he realized that the spirit might have some answer for him. She was a spirit, after all. She had witnessed birth, maybe she had some sort of inside knowledge from some sort of higher being. She was a spirit; were did she come from?
"Where did you come from, Mrs. Waterfield? Were you created by some sort of higher being?"

The hybrid shuffled his feet around, listening to Sei speak of his creator and his own origin. It was strange speaking with the android, as his emotionless expressions were difficult to decipher, regardless of the observational abilities he had picked up from Ayumu. It was a strange sensation, being unable to know, or at least have an idea of what your opponent or conversational partner was thinking or fearing. However, the android's tale seemed to be one that would only end in tragedy. The hybrid furrowed his brow as he concluded the introduction to his explanation. Sei, meanwhile, shifted the subject towards Phae herself, wondering why she had chosen this sort of physical manifestation.
"Sei, would it truly matter what form I happen to be in? I simply desired to be with Celmaru, I hoped to hold him dear, hold his hand, protect him from those had harmed him before.....he had such an unfortunate childhood..."
The seaweed woman held her husband close as his expression became tainted with a red hue. A partially uncommon sight as of late, but the hybrid was still rather embarrassed of Phae's straightforward affection. Phae had begun to lightly peck her husband upon his neck, hoping to drag his thoughts away from his childhood. However, Sei had begun to speak of his own creator, Dr. Griffin Connaleer. Celmaru quirked a brow towards the android, intrigued, yet wary of a plausible ending....that of a non-content variety. The tale of Dr. Connaleer was one of many faults and unfulfilled desires, as it seemed, however it ended with the birth of Sei. By this point, Phae had ceased her affectionate actions, listening to Sei's story intently along with her husband, with great interest for that matter.
"...."
"...."
The couple were surprised, mostly so over how one man created a completely sentient life such as Sei. Then, the two heard of the android's mission; find the meaning of Life itself. It was a truly ambitious and daunting task, however the hybrid felt confident about the android's ability to find such a answer. By now, both the hybrid and the seaweed woman were upon the ground, firmly planted upon the bottoms. Extending a hand towards the android, Celmaru spoke aloud, commending Sei for his efforts.
"Its a rather...er...ambitious task you've been assigned, Sei. Regardless, I do hope you end up with your answer."
Whether the android would shake the hybrid's hand, it didn't matter. Sei had moved on, handing Phae a simple inquiry; where did she come from?....And how was she created? Phae simply gave the android a warm smile, an answer within not ever truly known by typical Humans.
"I was created within a realm of both good and evil, light and dark, simply one that harbors spirits both living yet dead. It is truly akin to the Afterlife, however most spirits, deities, and lesser deities live within such a realm. I was spawned from a greater being, yes, however my own power is but a mere fraction of that deity, yet I believe that my true strength is greater than my husband's currently!"
"Hmph....in my base form that is..."
"Super Saiyan isn't an option until you master it~"
".....I realize that."
"Ahem, well, I can only wonder why you were tasked to find the meaning of life, however....since you've told me your story, and told us of your past, I shouldn't be the one to hide a certain something from you....my true power. It only seems fair that if you were to tell us of something you initially...er...hid away, per se, as I've hidden away my true strength all this time. Who knows....maybe I'll be able to supply an answer for you, Sei."
Prepare for the Super Saiyan, @shadez!
