Bastion's PL: 50,500
Deep within the forest, the floating island of the Cathedral was hidden away, laying low in a crater that had been prepared for it. On the island, leaning against a column, the bulky form of Bastion observed the work that was occurring. Tree-people moved about, most fairly small at 5 feet, large wooden pods growing like banyans in orchards across the island. He had been putting this off, if he was honest. He didn't really want to tell the Half-Saiyan he had last seen fighting his father what had happened. In truth, he was a little afraid of setting him off, especially after the impressively terrifying show he had put on last time. Shuddering slightly, the tree winced. There wasn't really any recourse, honestly. He had to tell Celmaru sooner or later, as it wasn't certain when precisely his father would return.
Sitting down slowly, he turned to Slither. "Very well, call them." Nodding, the serpent's eyes closed, and somewhere on Earth, Celmaru received a... rather strange telepathic message. It wasn't so much words, more a feeling that he should come to Fukorou and Walker's Island at his earliest connivence. A mental map was graciously included, and a bizarre feeling of regret that didn't seem to really match the tone of the message.
Leaning back in his chair, one set beside the large, empty one Walker occupied, Bastion frowned. He wasn't certain what to do here, honestly. Just tell the truth? How would the half-Saiyan react to hear that Walker had literally sacrificed himself for the planet, possibly forever if the tree couldn't... no. No, don't think like that. His father was an incredibly powerful being, and the idea that he couldn't escape the afterlife when others had was unthinkable. Bastion cupped his face in his massive hands, and then stood. He needed to be composed when Phae and Celmaru arrived. Gesturing absent-mindedly, he picked up his helmet with a lazy sweep, and put it on, as well as adjusting some of the branches so they were flush with the grills in his armor. Steadying himself, he rose upwards, and waited for the pair.
When they arrived, the tree waited for them to get close, and bowed. "Greetings again, Lady Phae, Sir Celmaru. I believe you might know why I called you here today. My Father and your teacher, Walker.... is currently dead. I wish to explain what happened, however." He paused, heart in his throat, figuratively although it could have been literally, and looked back and forth between the pair. Waiting for a response, his mind flashed over the image of the Ultimate Kaiser Impact, and it was a stalwart soul indeed that saved him from shivering involuntarily. To see that bearing down on him... Thankfully, like Walker, his son was not very easily swayed. Down below, the island rested, and up above, he tensed, worried about the half-Saiyan's reaction. Surely Walker's death wouldn't provoke the same reaction as his wife's.... right? Oh Kami, this had been a mistake. For the first time since his birth, he allowed himself to think, 'I wish father were here.'

The hybrid Super Saiyan was still hoping to master his newfound transformation. The Super Saiyan was still majorly affected by the golden form's power, however it was slowly beginning to scale its way down from before. The hybrid still acted like an arrogant, prideful, and slightly aggressive Saiyan warrior; however he was able to force his own hand to act presumably more humble. The Super Saiyan hybrid Celmaru Waterfield had received Slither's message, set forth by Bastion, and had rushed to the Cathedral Gaea immediately. His partner, Phae Waterfield, barely even had enough time to wrap her arms around her husband's neck before he shot off into the distance. The wind from their velocity was staggering within Phae's vision, however Celmaru wasn't particularly affected by it due to his persistent goal of reaching Walker's floating castle of a ship.
"Celmaru, please slow down, we can reach-"
"No, I refuse, Phae. I'm not stopping unless we're at Walker ship."
"....."
The hybrid was still forcing himself to act normally, yet his Super Saiyan personality was attempting to make way and shine through once again. The golden aura of the hybrid sliced through the atmosphere, and left a bright yellow streak within the azure sky. The deep green blotch in the Earth that was the Fukurou Forest once again enveloped Celmaru's eyes as he flew directly over the leaves of the oak trees. A familiar sight began to appear before the couple as they began to descend upon it; the Cathedral Gaea. To the hybrid's dismay, a certain Ki signature wasn't found upon the ship, but one akin to Walker himself was within its grounds. This tree-man appeared to have been one of Walker's own children, however he wore a pearly white armor of sorts, and he was seemingly brighter in color compared to his senior. Celmaru's eyes were filled with sorrow, and his expression was nothing more but a grim one as he descended onto the nearby grounds of the Cathedral Gaea, his Super Saiyan form still very well active. Bastion had greeted them swiftly, referring to them as if they were lords. The hybrid folded his arms and smirked, his golden form affecting his mind once more.
"Heh....I know I'm a-"
Celmaru paused, realizing what he was about to say. He cleared his throat, and spoke once again, in a much more...humble manner.
"You...don't have to call us 'Lady' and 'Lord', er...sir.....and...and I know. I felt his energy go from its entirety....to nothing."
"We were speaking with Core at the time....my husband's face blanked after sensing it."
"Feel free to explain...however I can only tell you that I may not end up listening to all of it....not just because of Super Saiyan...mind you..."
Celmaru's thoughts crept over towards memories of Walker; and what little of them he had. The last time the hybrid even saw him, he was enraged because of what he thought the tree-man had done. Celmaru felt terrible, beginning to think of what happened to him; and what he could've done if he was able to help prevent such an event from happening. Clenching his fists together, a smirk appearing and disappearing immediately, the hybrid spoke before Bastion could explain.
"The last thing he said to me was via telepathic message....mentioning that 'Before all creation, comes destruction'...have you heard that before?"

Bastion observed Celmaru's current form, more than a bit of interest in his searching eyes despite the fear. He had only seen this form once before, after all, and it was still immensely powerful. The Saiyan, even with his weights on, outpowered Bastion by a league. Fighting down his jealousy, the tree adjusted his stance slightly. "Very well, sir. I apologize, it is a habit of mine when referring to those of a higher rank, and a student Father saw worthy to train is worth such deference. Among all the hundreds on Earth with notable power levels, he only ever took note of 3 with power below him. One of them was you."
It was easy to see what Walker had seen in the half-Saiyan, after all. He had managed, in so short a time, to go from an acceptably powerful fighter to the incredible Super Saiyan. Few alive could accomplish that at all, and fewer still had reached that lofty pillar in so short a time as he. Celmaru might not be the strongest, but he was certainly worthy of note by anyone with half a brain.
Shifting, Bastion looked back and forth from one to the other. "Well, I will attempt to keep this relatively brief, all things considered." It WAS his father's message to someone he considered a very close friend, after all. It was worth doing well. Looking directly into Celmaru's eyes, he spoke with steadfast certainty, despite the insanity of those words. "Walker will not be dead for long. He intends to return from Hell itself, after locating the source of the magics that created him, the demon lord Cernunnos."
Bowing slightly, he spoke more quickly, having little desire to anger the Super Saiyan by taking too long, or causing him not to listen. "He was taken from this world by the Bio-Android Reikiko, so that she might ascend to the next level of her evolution. Unlike Walker, she needed the energies and DNA of a powerful fighter to ascend. Walker chose to evolve without that, at the cost of a weaker form." It could be argued that Walker was foolish for not taking the greater power, but it would have required a death, and he did not have a good reason to kill, then.
"He understood what he was risking, and merely asked to test himself before he died. He may not be able to protect the earth at the moment, but his sacrifice made her able to combat almost anyone on this Planet, and possible the decisive difference via the SSE if they invade." That was that taken care of. As for the final words... that would be trickier to explain. He had felt the death of Bing Gan, just as Celmaru had felt Walker's own death, and knew what it meant. Walker had mused, and spoken with his son extensively, of what might happen if Bing failed to stop the SSE.
"As for his final words... They were found in a book in the Library of Kami, mentioning some immensely powerful being from Millenia ago. Apparently, this being is responsible for eliminating entire planets so that new worlds can be created, and so that the cycle of life may continue. He suspected it was also so that no old order could ever stagnate, as eventually it would be torn down and replaced."
Looking down slightly, Bastion spoke in a slow tone. "If he said that, as he died... I suspect he was attempting to explain his actions. The current state of the galaxy cannot continue, or all will be ash and unmarked graves. However, as he put it... before a new world is created, the old one must be destroyed to make a place for it."

The hybrid closed his eyes as Phae slipped off his back. The seaweed woman floated elegantly above the ground, as usual, and rested her hands before her. Celmaru prepared to listen with the best of his ability, however both Super Saiyan and his concern over what might have become of Walker overwhelmed his mind as he attempted to keep his focus. Shifting his arms, whilst keeping them folded across his chest, the hybrid listened to Bastion speak. The younger tree-man mentioned how Walker had deemed Celmaru worthy to train, and out of hundreds of other powers, the hybrid's mentor chose Celmaru, out of three others whom were weaker, to acknowledge. Celmaru's eyes shot open upon hearing so; 3 other fighters? One of three others that were weaker than Walker had acknowledged...was the hybrid himself.
"Out of hundreds...out of three, even...."
The Super Saiyan hybrid mumbled to himself as he finally shifted his gaze towards Bastion, meeting his gaze as the tree continued. Speaking of Walker's brief time in Hell, of all places, and how he intended to escape from such a place with presumed ease. Even mentioning a Demon Lord by the name of Cernunnos, the source of magics that created Walker in the first place, etc, the hybrid was believing less and less of this story by the minute.
"Don't you dare be joking with me now, tree. As far as I'm concerned no one, or no thing can escape Hell."
A certain edge hid within the hybrid's tone, indirectly ordering the tree to cease his jokes, if he even had any. This wasn't a time for laughter, nor humor. Celmaru's mentor had joined the deceased, along with Bastion's father. Walker was a few things to many, however those very few things were of great value to some, including those such as Bastion and Celmaru. Shaking his head, the hybrid allowed the young tree to continue. Bastion spoke of the evolutionary path Walker had chosen for himself, along with the path another Bio-Android, Reikiko, took to advance her power. One thing led to another as Bastion spoke, and a few assumptions were made within the hybrid's mind. From being high off his own power as a Super Saiyan, and hearing the name of what could've been his mentor's killer; Celmaru nearly snapped again. The hybrid's aura flared around his frame, enveloping his body completely. A vein sprouted atop his right temple, his rage forcing the vein to squirm under his power.
"....I assume that's the one who murdered Walker....Reikiko, huh? Such a shitty name for a mindless murderer..."
Celmaru tried his best to keep his focus, to keep his opposing personality from affecting him; however his inevitable outburst of rage prevented any mental barriers from being effective. Phae, however, intended to cease her husband's rage immediately. The seaweed woman grasped her husband's shoulders, reassuring him that everything will settle itself in time.
"Celmaru, please, don't become so enraged...everything will be fine."
"......Hrrgghhh...."
Celmaru grit his teeth, hoping he'd calm himself down before he blew up something nearby. The comfort of his wife certainly supported the intent to quell his rage, however it stubbornly lingered. As the hybrid's ire ceased to visibly exist, various pebbles and stones began to descend back into the cathedral, pelting the cobblestones and grass nearby with the weight. As the Super Saiyan's aura faded, he sighed, knowing that he had almost regretted another action within this form. Facing other matters, the hybrid spoke between Bastion's speech, noting something of a minor detail before he continued.
"....I did notice another Ki signature die out....a few days after Walker's energy ceased to exist....it was massive, yet distant....then it suddenly vanished...it felt like a god's..."
The hybrid shook his head once more, dismissing the thought before he allowed his mind to take the idea and sprint away with it. The young tree continued on, speaking of a being that destroyed planets for the cycle of life to continue; destroying before anything could be created. Celmaru stood still, his interest piqued by such information. It was as if Bastion was speaking of a God of Destruction, or another similar deity. However, as the second tree-man shifted his gaze downward, the hybrid had a creeping suspicion that the tone will become sorrowful once more as soon as he continues to speak. Unfortunately, Celmaru was correct, and Bastion spoke of his father's demise.
".....This galaxy isn't the safest place, one must make do with what they have....however, some people must be removed from the picture to truly attain peace. With Walker...and whoever that other power was....that goal will take another plethora of time to achieve. For all we know...this galaxy may never see true peace."
The Super Siayan's disposition had plummeted upon thinking of such things, his wife and unborn child are in constant danger because of Lady Death alone, much less her commanders or subordinates. At this point, all Celmaru wants is peace, so he can raise his family without the threat of death looming above them. As of now, the majority of what the hybrid could do was train; train until his body could take on the Queen herself, if that was possible at this point. Celmaru sighed in subtle depression, his mind beginning to wander towards another time; a time of war that may be inevitable, a time that he may never see Phae again. The hybrid's heart wrenched at the thought, but he shook his head to dismiss such negative thoughts.
"A god-"
Celmaru stopped himself again; this was getting old.
"A warrior such as myself should be able to fight the SSE's forces to a certain degree....yet without Walker, I doubt we'd be able to defeat all of them. Something needs to change....in the Earth's favor...we need something beneficial to happen to us...the SSE has done enough to gain ground and resources....they may very well take over the Earth at this point....even with the might of a golden god-"
The hybrid immediately paused, mentally scolding himself upon uttering such words once again; this was a new low for him, unable to stop himself from speaking of his "greatness". Disappointment was etched across Celmaru's facial expression, his desire to master Super Saiyan becoming even greater; this had to happen soon, before the end became nigh upon them.

Bastion, despite his general attitude of deference, did not back down as Celmaru confronted him. He understood why the half-saiyan might believe his words. Celmaru was obviously quite over-wrought, and not just because of his rage-based Power-up. It was relieving, however, that he did not seem to be misunderstanding or yelling at Bastion, for the most part. That seemed to happen a lot when his father explained things. Perhaps it was just beginner's luck. That, or his father did a bad job explaining things to people. One or the other, really, he couldn't be totally sure which was true.
Raising a conciliatory hand, he spoke calmly, attempting to stop the Saiyan's rising temper. "I am not joking. This is far too serious a time to joke or mess about. You may believe the afterlife is inescapable, but at least one person has done it before. My father witnessed their return." This attitude from Celmaru might explain how Etoru reacted. The tree had been quite literally raised by his father's own thoughts, so he did share many of them, including his skepticism towards death's permanency, depending on your strength and cunning.
"That other Signature was Bing Gan, the Kami of Earth. He was the planet's strongest fighter. The Queen killed him, not long ago. That is why my father made the choice he did, to allow Rei to take his power.' Bastion flexed one hand, then pointed skyward. "We do not know how strong the queen has become, especially if she has used the Tree of Might, but she was able to kill Bing with some new form, presumably something beyond the Super Saiyan she used before. If that is the case, Reikiko may be our only hope. If she can reach her perfect form... she may well become something akin to a deity."
He stopped for a moment, debating how to respond to Celmaru's assertions. It was true, Walker had been one of the stronger Z-Fighters. He had been perhaps the strongest beneath Rei, Vi-Poi and Bing before he died, the only others of equivalent power being Etoru and Kaula. Etoru was currently with Rei, growing stronger, and Kaula... Kaula was currently on Vegeta. How she would respond was unclear. It may well be that the half-Saiyan would side with the SSE, with her family. If that was the case, the earth was in even more danger than before.
"Either way, it is true. You will likely be an essential part of the Earth's defense, especially with so many of it's fighters taken down or missing. Of the three Walker saw potential in, you have come far, far further than either of the other two, and that is why I called you here." He stared at the half-saiyan for a moment, then knelt. "I offer you any aid I can in growing stronger, including my father's training chamber and the resources he assembled here. I do not know all of his techniques, but some, like Telepathy, I may be able to pass on. As of this moment, the Verdant will aid you in any way we can, Student of Walker." Around him, other tree shapes could be seen for a moment, emerging from the forest and buildings and making varied gestures of respect, before vanishing back to their work, unseen from the courtyard the trio stood in. Bastion stood once more, and looked at Celmaru. "My father may be back soon, or it may take a long time. I cannot be sure. As such, I intend to fight for this planet, despite my own currently minor power." He was, ironically, almost exactly where Celmaru had been when he first met Walker, and Walker had been at Celmaru's current level. The reversal wasn't lost on the tree, but he didn't comment on it. Whether or not Celmaru felt the deja vu was none of his business. All that mattered now was ensuring that they all had a place where their family would be safe, Tree or Saiyan.

Bastion attempted to reassure Celmaru of death's lack of permanency, the hybrid still wasn't unsure of what he was hearing; could it be true? Was death inevitable, yet avoidable? However, the hybrid Super Saiyan didn't end up pondering such thoughts within detail as Bastion mentioned another name; Bing Gan. Celmaru had heard of Bing several times before, most of which have been from Walker himself; supposedly the Kami of Earth was a good friend to Walker. The hybrid never even got a chance to meet the God of Earth before he died....ironically enough. The Super Saiyan sighed, hearing of more terrible news of those who have fought and fallen. Unfortunately, Bing happened to be the strongest on Earth; and now he was among the dead. Earth was severely disadvantaged by the Guardian's death, and now the strongest on the green and blue gem was presumably someone that the hybrid has only heard of once; Vipoi, the general of the Blue Banner Army. If not the general, then someone that Celmaru doesn't know of. Meanwhile, the son of Walker spoke of the Queen's newfound strength, a form beyond Super Saiyan. Celmaru's eyes widened upon the sound of such knowledge penetrating his eardrums.
'So there is a form beyond Super Saiyan....interesting.'
'Celmaru, focus on mastering your current form, first.'
The hybrid turned towards Phae, noting her mental response. The Super Saiyan nodded his head quietly in a brief reply.
'You know I'm trying my best, even as I, a god-....er...disregard that. I'm trying to master Super Saiyan...yet this is becoming rather strenuous. I'll have to take a break soon enough.'
Celmaru continued to listen to Bastion, noting Reikiko's ascension and Walker's role within it; albeit indirectly mentioning such a thing. If this Reikiko could achieve her "perfect form", then apparently this person could become akin to a transcended being? The hybrid huffed, skeptical of such a claim.
"You know, a wise man once said a simple line 'You're either perfect, or you're not me.'....I'd like to believe that's what a god might say, drowning in their own arrogance."
It was horribly ironic that Super Saiyan Celmaru was stating this, but it was somewhat relevant to Bastion's claim. However, this didn't stop the tree from continuing, as he shifted the subject towards the Earth's defense. Celmaru was initially thrown off by this, suddenly considered to be "essential" to the planet's protection. Celmaru couldn't help but chuckle to himself for a brief moment before listening to Bastion speak of those who went missing or have fallen once again; this tree certainly jumped between topics swiftly, didn't he?...Then again, so did Celmaru when it came to specific topics.
"Well, I don't expect to make much of a difference, yet I'm sure I can do something now with Super Saiyan-"
Bastion suddenly knelt before Celmaru and Phae, which caught the hybrid off-guard. The Super Saiyan quirked a brow towards the young tree as he spoke, he nearly backed away involuntarily upon beholding the sight. Somehow the Verdant "family", of sorts, were at his disposal now, which came as a shock for Celmaru. The hybrid didn't expect Bastion to be so formal, and yet also allow such a thing to be at Celmaru's immediate use. The Super Saiyan nearly dropped his folded arms as he kept his gaze upon the kneeling tree. Clearing his throat, Celmaru responded to Bastion, hoping to get at least one more answer out of him. However, that question had to be put aside momentarily as Bastion noted one more point of detail; that Walker will be back either soon, or much, much later.
"I do hope as much, however I'm not keeping my hopes up regardless."
Bastion also mentioned his efforts to protect the Earth, alongside others such as Celmaru. Meanwhile, the hybrid noticed several tree-like creatures stir around them, however he disregarded them, knowing that they would do much against the might of a Super Saiyan. Despite Celmaru's forced behavior, his Super Saiyan arrogance still shone through in poorly-timed intervals, it still affected his thoughts, however. Shaking his head slowly, Celmaru spoke up, hoping to shift the subject over towards the subject of his goal; Super Saiyan.
"Excuse me....if you are truly willing to aid me....would you mind telling me what you do happen to know about Super Saiyans? I was wondering if you know anything about mastering the form....if not anything beyond Super Saiyan."

Thankfully, Celmaru didn't out and out reject the offer. It was important that the half-saiyan be trained up as much as possible. Walker wanted his protege to survive at least, even if it was required to bring him off world when the Earth was destroyed. Still, he had understood that Celmaru likely wouldn't abandon the earth. However, if Phae was truly pregnant, he might be convinced to leave in order to protect his family. Hopefully, it would not come to that, but it was a route to consider. Dismissing this thought, the tree cocked his head slightly, staring at Celmaru as he considered.
From the notes, rather extensive ones, and what he held of his father's memory.... "I am... not certain. However, in my father's case, he managed to contain his transformation via a certain technique." The tree had been worried he would be forced to remain in the chaotic form for an extended period, possibly until he was able to reach his fully evolved form. Thankfully, however, he had determined a method to contain himself, a technique that Bastion did indeed have information on, and even an explanation that might satisfy Celmaru if he required it.
"Are you aware of the method by which fighters can suppress their Ki? My father used it to control his strength when sparring with you, pushing you until you achieved the form you have now. He uses it most of the time, however, to contain the surging ki of his new evolution." While it was not corrupting, he had seen the tree try to deal with the power of his new form, and it had taken a lot of work with chaining his Ki to be able to function in his new evolution without notable damage to property and surroundings. Gesturing to Celmaru, Bastion explained.
"I do not know if that is the correct path, but given Walker mentioned his other acquaintance, Kaula, being aware of the technique, it may at least help. Hopefully you are able to master your power, Celmaru." For the first time, he sounded emotional. It was true, he really did want the student to succeed. Especially since, although he wouldn't admit it, the half-Saiyan was starting to get on his nerves. The talk of "God" was more than a little annoying, given his power compared to so many others.
Still, it was forgivable, if not entirely acceptable. Bowing slightly, Bastion looked back up. "Walker was looking into the various races and their attributes, trying to determine what might alter or shape them. I suspect it was related to efforts to calm the Saiyan's insane battle-lust and desire to conquer worlds, a trait that seems to be rather inherent to most of them. Perhaps his efforts in that direction will prove fruitful for you." A vine rose up, presenting a small book to Celmaru. Walker had intended to give it to him, before his untimely leaving. "Is there anything else I can help you with? I'm afraid I don't know much else about the legendary transformation of the Saiyans."

"Urgh....I can't do this any longer..."
The hybrid grasped his forehead as his body began to give out. The Super Saiyan began to revert into his base form, relieving himself of the strain that the golden transformation required. Celmaru's dark brown hair returned, revealing itself beneath the bold gold, and his even darker brown hues took their respective places within the hybrid's irises. The hybrid shook his head, his mind becoming clear and immediately formulating complete thoughts once more. Celmaru was uncomfortable using Super Saiyan for such an extended period, and his energy was truly drained by this point. As Bastion spoke, he mentioned a warrior's ability to suppress Ki, and questioned Celmaru if he was able to make use of such a thing. The hybrid relieved his facial features of his hand as he responded briefly.
"I know of Ki Suppression, I can suppress my Ki at will if I so desired...however one minor scare and my power returns to its maximum immediately."
The hybrid stood shakily, somewhat unsteady on his feet. The deescalation of power from the hybrid from Super Saiyan to his base was staggering after nearly two days of settling within the form. Phae grasped her husband gently, ensuring his ability to stand. The seaweed woman secured her arms around her husband, embracing him and supporting him as she did so. Celmaru didn't feel all that well once he reverted to his base form, however he must take a break from using Super Saiyan; the strain was becoming too much. Bastion kept speaking, and the hybrid's guilt began to accumulate as he realized that he often spoke of his own "greatness", albeit in a much more subtle tone, and the hybrid felt that he was irritating Bastion with his Super Saiyan antics. Celmaru can only admit that he wasn't exactly listening to Bastion, as much as he wanted to apologize for his pathetic excuse for willpower that he possessed. However, a small vine, grasping a tiny book, was presented to Celmaru. The hybrid stared at the book, unsure of what to make of it.
'Notes? A memoir?'
The hybrid clasped his fingers around the book's surface, its wooden texture evident. It truly was Walker's book. The hybrid flipped it open, turning towards a random page, and a detailed sight beheld him; a page explaining a specific race was before him, providing several sketches of their kind. That race in particular, was the Saiyans, conveniently enough. Tails, prideful expressions, notes of the behavior of their tails, etc were laid out before the hybrid within the book. There were even some notes upon the subject of Super Saiyans, and the power and effects of which that they held for the user. However, something about these notes felt wrong to the hybrid; as if he were given a present meant for his theoretical sister. Shifting his gaze towards Bastion, Celmaru spoke bluntly.
"....I don't deserve this. Especially since I know of the actions I've committed when I transformed into Super Saiyan....even to you, sir. If you are, or were, to give me these notes....I shouldn't accept them."
"....."
The hybrid shut the book tightly with one hand, grasping it with one hand to hand it back to Bastion. Celmaru took several steps forward, stopping in place immediately before the young tree-man.
"I appreciate you support, however I feel as if I should master Super Saiyan before I'm able to truly able to make a difference, or make successful amends between both you and Walker. I must apologize to you regardless, knowing that my....actions...as a Super Saiyan can be rather rude and arrogant of me....I must truthfully apologize for my lack of self-control as a Super Saiyan..."
Celmaru couldn't help but feel guilty, he's harmed many as a Super Saiyan, and even his adoptive son wasn't partial to the transformation's effects. The form has angered many, including Daika, specifically, and the hybrid couldn't do much about it; as he was unable to control everything he does as a Super Saiyan. The desire to master the form was overwhelming in the hybrid's mind, as it even forced Celmaru's gaze away from his own wife in the process. Phae was discontent with Celmaru's recent actions; as it didn't represent the man she married. Super Saiyan was both a mistake and a blessing; it gave Celmaru the confidence he needed to fight his opponents, however that confidence had affected those around him, and has given those a terrible taste within their mouths as they met the Super Saiyan version of the hybrid. Phae was worried that her husband's Saiyan biology would begin to override his Human personality...and if that was the case, she'd have to use desperate measures.

Bastion paused, then took the book back. "I see. I can understand your reticence, and I will accept it. However, I will offer one last thing." From nearby, Slither crawled up, the large serpent-like plant focusing on Celmaru. "You say you can only hold it to a certain extent... perhaps this may help." Slither floated upwards, bearing himself aloft, and stared at Celmaru's eyes, his own pupil-less slits unmoving. Suddenly, a connection, much like Walker's Telepathy, and recognizable as the mind that had contacted him earlier, was sending a message to Celmaru.
Like before, it was less word based, and more like experiences or memories. In this case, they were through the eyes of something far larger than Celmaru. Not quite thoughts, but feelings, and the sensation of Ki running through a body, being manipulated. It was being compressed, bubbled up and controlled, and after a moment, it would become clear what had been communicated. Slither left, his job done, as Walker's learning of his more advanced form of Ki Suppression was now passed on. It had functioned for Walker, perhaps it might do well for his student.
"I hope you will accept this gift, at least. Rather than the book, it is a teaching from the one you seek to make amends to. He, just like the others you are concerned about, would wish you to be freed from the chains of your being as much as you are able. How you are born doesn't matter. What matters is how you live." Those words had been inscribed in the copy of Walker's research that he had left for Celmaru, the one just rejected. Bastion, eyeing Phae for a moment and noting her discomfort, nodded slowly. "Indeed. You have a good heart, even compared to some defenders of Earth. Your arrogance is not something you dismiss or accept, and you work to regain your mind. That is, if nothing else, a step in the right direction."
Much of this was actually drawing from advice Walker had left for when or if Celmaru came around. The tree had predicated quite a few things, but this had been one of the most explicitly mentioned. "Attempt that technique while in Super Saiyan, see if it helps. Aside from that, I am afraid he left no other advice or potential help directly." Quirking his head, what would be an eyebrow raise in anyone else, Bastion mused "He did specify one other thing."
Clearing his throat slightly, Bastion raised a finger. "I appreciate that Celmaru is eager to continue his family line, but I'm afraid I must decline him the use of the Island. As many children as I am making, his enthusiasm when I last saw him coupled with Phae's affection would likely fill the place to so great a degree that it would sink from the sky. His own family house will have to suffice for now." It was incredibly easy to hold a straight face when you don't really have one, and Bastion's self-control was impressive. He didn't even chuckle, despite the sardonic nature of his statement.
"Ah well. A shame I cannot offer that particular avenue of help, or with "Soundproofing", whatever that may have to do with anything. Is there anything else that I can do at the moment?" As much as Bastion wanted to help, he was somewhat in a lurch at the moment, unsure of how to proceed. Celmaru clearly had his own issues to work out, but the tree didn't have the solutions, and was uncertain how to converse with his father's friend, an age-old problem.

The hybrid felt the snake-like being named Slither invade his mind, passing on a speechless collection of knowledge. The hybrid stood silently, staring into the eyes of the snake, allowing it's transfer of knowledge to cease before doing anything else. Slither slipped out of his consciousness, leaving Celmaru with the knowledge he had received; an advanced Ki Suppression. The hybrid couldn't explain as to how he was able to form a thought referring to such a thing, considering Slither's lack of speech, however it didn't matter by now. The hybrid sorted through his thoughts, stepping away from Bastion absentmindedly, and shifted his gaze towards the young tree. The tree in question began speaking of the gift that the hybrid was given, hoping that he would accept it, and continued on mentioning change, birthrights and how one lives, among other things, and the hybrid nodded as the tree spoke. " Its a knowledgeable note to mention, sir, and I appreciate your ability to bear with me as a Super Saiyan. However, I hope to be able to accept such gifts at a later time, if any at all. I do appreciate your offer to help, and I....well....hope to see your father again soon." Bastion kept his train of thought rolling, noting that the hybrid's heart was kind, even more so than those that currently defended the Earth, and noted that his developments were a "step in the right direction". Nodding sheepishly, Celmaru "agreed" silently, unused to praise of that variety. The hybrid nodded once more as Bastion spoke of how Walker left no more direct advice or support after the advanced form of Ki Suppression. However, the hybrid quirked a brow at Bastion as he pointed towards the sky, mentioning that Walker had left another piece of information to deliver to his student; that of which that denied him the use of the tree-man's ship. Celmaru's eyebrows shot up upon the sound of it. " Huh? I'm being denied access to Walker's-" The young tree spoke of Celmaru and Phae's affection for one another, and how those two together would surely bring the Cathedral Gaea into the Earth once more. The hybrid was both flustered and outraged by this, meanwhile Phae simply attempted to suppress a giggle. " What?! Does Walker actually think we'd-....we'd....no! We wouldn't dare do such a thing in Walker's ship!" " We might~" " Phae you're not helping!" The hybrid's facial features were beet red, boiling hot from his overactive mind's thoughts. Bastion himself didn't help either, as he began to speak of his inability to assist the hybrid in that "particular avenue of help". Celmaru stepped back, unsure of how to take what he just heard. Stuttering slightly, the hybrid replied to Bastion's question of assistance. " E-Er....n-no, I believe we're fine f-for now." " We appreciate you assistance, as my husband now has another technique to help his endeavor of mastering this Super Saiyan transformation. However, even if he does or does not, I'll be there with him to cease his arrogant actions." " ...I feel like you don't find Super Saiyan amusing, Phae." Celmaru was finally realizing this; if not barely. " Er...in any regard...I appreciate your help. I do hope to see Walker soon...as I need to apologize to him for acting....somewhat rude to him the last time I saw him..." The hybrid's flustered expression began to fade as he shifted the subject back to Walker; his mentor and friend. The hybrid couldn't help but think, if Bastion's claim of a non-permanent death was true, the hybrid would be able to see his wooden mentor once again. He could only begin to wonder where he would be once Walker returns; possibly in a few months, weeks, years? Celmaru couldn't truly imagine a time where his tree-man friend would return from Hell. Clearing his throat, the hybrid stepped towards the younger tree-man, extending his hand to shake it. Whether his hand was shaken or not, after a mere moment, the hybrid would turn on his heels to take his leave. " It was a...pleasure...speaking with you, however we must leave for today. Phae and I must train for an upcoming tournament, supposedly, and we must make use of our time until then. I hope we can speak again soon, and hopefully Walker will be alive by then." " Farewell, Bastion." The hybrid wouldn't admit it aloud, however he was getting his hopes up for his mentor's revival. Celmaru silently prayed to whatever god may listen and hoped for the tree's resurrection. The next time they would meet; hopefully they would be closer to fighting each other evenly, however this might not matter, as the hybrid needed to master Super Sayian if he was to progress in any way; as the effets of the transformation's power soured his personality if he used it....and the hybrid despised himself due to what he's prone to do. Phae slipped up her husband's back as she wrapped her arms around his neck, gently pressing against his nape as she nestled beside it. Celmaru's aura blazed to life around him and his wife as he began to lift off from the cobblestone pathway of the Cathedral Gaea, giving Bastiona two-fingered salute as he turned away and shot off into the distance, facing away from the Cathedral hidden within the forest.
Exit Post for me; I apologize @tokoz for leaving it here....honestly couldn't think of much else.
