The smell of sweet betrayal filled the open air within the noble abode. An average sized fat red arcosian sat nearly cross-legged on a comfortable chair overlooking the capitol city. The door to the nobleman's office slid open automatically and a small slender red-arcosian entered casually.
"Father... you called for me?"
"Yes, son. As you know Glacius, I've been raising you with a specific goal in mind."
"Yes..."
"And do you know what that goal is?"
"I do."
"Please, illuminate me."
"You wish for me to overthrow the current government, and install our family as the royal lineage."
"Very good. And you know of course that being the head of the household, that would make me-"
"King... yes, I know." Glacius said, a grin forming on his face.
"So you know what's expected of you."
"What if I were the head of the household?"
"Well... you would be-"
"King, right... and what would that make you?"
"I'd have to be..." A look of pained realization immediately washed over the older Arcosian man's wrinkly face as he saw the murderous intent in his son's eyes.
"Dead. Riiiight, thanks for confirming that pops. It was nice knowing you~" Glacius said with a huge grin as he pointed his finger at his father's head point blank in the form of a gun and let loose a powerful blast that rocketed straight through his father's head with a pop.
Immediately after his mother walked in lazily and looked around before seeing her dead husband on with his head missing slouched back against a chair.
"Would you like a sandwich sweetheart?"
"That would be lovely mother. Jelly with Arcosian Peanut Butter if you would."
"Yes darling."
"It's so wonderful having an obedient family. My father was even nice enough to die when I asked him too... not like you had a choice though. HAHAHAHAHA!" Glacius said outloud to himself as he sat in the chair across from his father's twitching body. His mother returned with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and placed it in front of her son eying what used to be her husband.
"Anything else dear? Would you like me to do something about your father."
"No mother, that is all. Father and I are spending some quality time together."
"Ok honey."
"Hm...?"
"I said honey."
"I heard you said monkey, did you call me a monkey?"
"No... no. I-I said..."
"You did call me a monkey didn't you!" Glacius said reaching towards his mother with his hands, a red aura flew out from his palms and wrapped around his mother's throat. "Just say it... Let me hear the truth from my dear mom."
"I swear... I didn't..."
"You're still lying to me. I heard you!" He squeezed his hands together slowly crushing his mother's throat. "Just be honest. What. Did. You. Say?"
"Ok... I admit that I called you a monkey. Now please... you're hurting me."
"Thank you for your honesty." Glacius said squeezing his hand tight and pushing his hand outward which caused his mother to fly out a window, but not before crushing her throat and killing her. "No respect."
Glacius picked up his sandwich and at it delicately, when he was finished he wiped his hands and threw the wash cloth on his father's body. He than left the home and went to the government building to speak to the officials. After hearing that his mother had murdered his father, and than killed herself. The government ruled the ordeal as a suicide, and in accordance to the laws granted Glacius with his father's position. However the manner which he had spoken to them denoted him as a soft character.
"Yes... I don't believe in violence." He said when interviewed. "I don't believe in war either, its a silly man's game and I've neither the time nor patience."
"Ok... how much experience to you have in politics?"
"None at all, my father never taught me anything about it."
"Hmm... perfect. I'm giving you the role of Emissary. You'll be in charge or representing our culture to other planets. One in particular, Earth."
"The blue one?"
"Yes."
"Oh no... not that one. Couldn't you send me to the monkey planet instead?"
"Hehe... I feel the blue planet is fitting for a 'master politician' like you."
"If I must, I'll go graciously."
The man stood and handed him an envelope. Within was his badge of office, 500 credits to be exchanged for zeni depending on the exchange rate on earth, and the keys to an old modeled space ship that more than likely only had one flight left on it. Glacius took the envelope and headed directly to the ship dock where he boarded his space ship and immediately left for earth. He didn't have anything left on Arcose, and he had quite a time before he made it to earth to reform his identity to fit his needs. Something heroic, he would advertise himself as a disillusioned Arcosian with no more ties to his government as the family which his government killed. They would never know the truth, the only person deserving of the truth was Glacius.
