“I know,” she said, trying to be cheerful for Mimikku and Lilith. Was Mimikku watching right now? Ir did she get to take a break? Perhaps Mimikku was blocked out or could spy on them… So many questions and probably all too inappropriate to ask. Maybe she’d get those answers some day. Idly, her fingers picked at the grass by her feet and legs, plucking and twisting them without uprooting them. Gentle motions for all her fidgeting, Kay-El wasn’t quite a destructive force, but she did have trouble sitting still sometimes. “I’m glad I came here and got to meet all of my new friends,” she said seriously, reaching behind her to scratch an itch on her lower back. When that had been sated she shrugged. “And now we have a lead on Pin. I think he’d here and I think you’re right, everything does happen for a reason…” Or it could just be dumb luck, but Kay didn’t mind either way, everything seemed to be working out just fine right now. As Lilith explained more about the lifespan of the Kagami, she frowned, trying to take it all in and process it all at the same time. Having never really thought about it that way, Kay’s life was very much about the ‘now,’ and she’d only been around for about five and a half years and some of that she didn’t even remember. When her teacher looked up, Kay said, “I’d like that - to stay here a while, learn under you, maybe come back some day for another lesson or meet you wherever you want.” Her nose wrinkled in distaste but she smiled, “Even if it is the stinky desert. You're both very good teachers. Can Mimikku hear me right now?” As the clouds passed overhead they picked up speed a little and she said, “Do you think it’s going to rain? I hope it does...” Mimikku

“Well we are happy that we met you Kay. You and Ban together are good people. You are some of the first visitors that I have ever had here at home. And it sounds like your brother is lucky to have someone so dedicated trying to find him. Also consider this place a home away from home for you. So even if I am not here please feel free to come and go as you please Kay.” The goddess spoke but the words were very much close to that of Mimikku. Kay could tell the ease of the relationship between Mimi and Lilith was so bare and easy to see.
“Yes I could hear you the entire time Kay. Really as of late me and Lilith have been in harmony with our thoughts mirroring one another quite easily. It has seemed to happen more and more since we awakened and the ritual that bonded the two of us seemed to take a deeper root within me. As for rain… I hope it does.. I love the rain and how it smells up here in the mountains after a rain. It is so refreshing and just makes you feel even more alive. So let us get walking back home. Other training can be done around the house.” Smiling at Kay as she stood up and extended out her hand for the smaller girl before helping her up. Once up she would take off into the air as she knew that Kay could follow her with her wings. Once past the tree cover if Kay looked around she would see they had walked a rather long ways from the only small smoke stack raising into the air signifying the house. Mimikku was slowly flying back toward it as she would land outside the house and turn to Kay after she landed.
“Now Kay do whatever you want. Run around and be a kid just be careful and don’t burn the forest down.” The last bit of what she said was obviously a joke as she smiled at her as she moved to go and sit on a stump that was covered in a small rug. Sitting on it Mimikku would close her eyes and begin to meditate a little. {{Thread Finish. PL for me Kay. Heavy weights worn the entire time.}}

Lilith’s words brought a smile to Kay’s lips. A home away from home, a haven away from the world and its troubles, that was something Kay could definitely see herself needing from time to time. Even this time here, now, with Mimikku and Lilith was a refuge from the harshness of the world below the mountain’s views and that was expansive, indeed. And then Mimikku was back and answering her questions, not that Mimi ever really went ‘away’ but it was the closest comparison Kay-El’s five year old brain could make for it. It would be nice to have the ability to take a vacation from life whenever one wanted or needed to, she thought.
As they took to the air, Kay’s eyes widened in surprise at how far they’d gone. They really ran all that distance and then walked a bit more? Although genuinely surprised, she knew she shouldn't have been, having expected to put real effort into her time with the Kagami from the get go. Nothing in life worth having wasn’t without price, consequence or hard work.
“Thank you so much!” she said, and when they touched down on the ground again she ran in to give Mimikku a quick hug around the middle. Maybe she hadn’t mastered it yet, but Kay-El determined to practice how to sense Ki and her surroundings every day until she finally got it! And with that, she headed off into the woods to explore some more and get more practice in. -- Thread exit - I’ll throw it up in t2g now Sorry for the delays, rl got super busy lately :/
